I believe I've discovered the reason my PC game won't load. If you have Ripper's patch you need to rename the .dll file to something else or it will crash the updated game

So it's been what 14 ish hours now and on my Samsung A10 still no update coming goes back to home 3 seconds. Used my backup device a wifi only A12 it updated and plays. Still the same wonderful experience of random crashes. I did notice one new thing though, Sunday I did the swarm event in 2 runs through the lvl 35 swarm with my T8 Franklin so 75 kills. I upgraded the shield on it tonight after I got in gained 80k ish power on the ship and now I can kill 9 lvl 35 swarms a run. What else did you tweak power wise that I haven't found yet?

On PC, Had to reinstall my game, was getting crashes to desktop and after a repair I was no longer showing ship textures or models, in fact every time I managed my horizon it would crash to desktop. Either way after the uninstall I figure I will go to a new drive (had attempted to delete the files and reinstall a few times prior to this) after putting STFC on my E drive I get this list of install locations on my C: drive when clicking update, doesn't do anything just shows this list, hitting esc will let me click update again but it never progresses forward, is there a real full uninstall for the game files and folders available for PC? P.S. after looking through the list it's not just installed files it looks like a task manager list of running processes.

Hello! So I have this annoying glitch that the Titan-A Blueprints completely disappeared from the Ex Borg Store. I already ticketed $copely and they said they have a team investigating. Although the support is kind and I always get the manual exchange of Titan-A Blueprints through customer support… it will take twice/thrice the time now to unlock the Titan-A. Yeah , but you can't overwrite files (like the launcher) because it's running. And it automatically removes the patch if you close the launcher to overwrite the files...

You can exclude this process. It is a paranoid Norton warning notification. It just deletes some cache data.

Looks like you need to deinstall everything deep into the registry. Then clean download the launcher again and try your luck.

I have discovered that my Samsung Galaxy A13 has the minimum system requirements via Scopleys announcement earlier yesterday. That being said I still can’t log in using that phone which I purchased to replace my old Kyrocera that was having battery issues. I was finally able to log in using my old Kyrocera phone, shield 30 days, and relocate. I tried using that phone to port my account to my iPhone, but the link to Scopleys website from that device doesn’t work and there’s no way I can see to sign in to an iPhone via google play store without using the original account/ device. So now I’ve submitted two tickets with no response from customer support. Leaves me one option and that is to purchase another game phone. If you people don’t want to be sued I suggest that you get your 💩 in a group and solve this issue. I would also suggest that you stop releasing money grabbing content until you have competent people who can actually do their jobs. Since you are unable to solve this problem, I will do so on my own. Your company is a dumpster fire 🔥.

The only way it worked for me on PC was to uninstall and reinstall, but not via the game launcher. Doing that just repeated the problem for me. Having said that, I have had to repeat the process EVERY time I have attempted to start the app.

Look up the game via the "see all apps" button, and then in the Star Trek Fleet Command folder use the uninstall executable.

We have a few reports from non-Samsung but not many. I'd encourage everyone having the issue to contact Support. #👽-how-to-contact-support -- for methods that are not in game. Let them know you are an affected Android User, cannot log in/stay in the game, and request a peace shield.

Also, not a popular recommendation, but having an alternate method to get into the game is something I strongly encourage people to do. If your main device is an Android phone, have it downloaded on PC or (my approach) two different makes of device (Samsung tablet and Pixel phone). If you use Apple, same - PC backup. This has been the safest way since the days where 76% was an extremely common place to get stuck.

If it's unrelated to Unity engine update, did you clear localization, Android caches, prior to update?

Then after update or fresh install, log into to browser on same device to Scopely website. Then and only then restart the game ( on Android, PC (or IOS)).

Quite a simple fix really for android just requires someone who knows what they are doing

But standard scopely practice is use stock version builds... And no testing to see where issue occurs and using previous versions of Pad to solve the issue

My thoughts they tried fix the limited Android users problems by updating pad higher instead of reverting pad to a lower version.

Now more users have issues and they running around like headless chickens instead of going to pad 1.6.0 or 1.7.0

A while back I had an issue with an older device, whereby the Google Play store said my device wasn't compatible with the game even though it was according to Scopely's specs. Scopely was no help, but Amazon app store was a successful workaround for months. I now have an almost new device.

Unity version they use isn't the issue they could be running unity 2023 beta and same issue would occur.

How I got back in
Well it's longwinded.

1. Go to apps, search stfc. Click in clear data.

2. Home screen uninstall app.

3. Reboot phone

4. Go into Google store install,

5. Google store uninstall.

6. Google store install.

7. Home screen play.
   Wait for load takes about 10 mins.
   Gets to authentic failed to login.

8. Close window to home screen.

9. Enter Google play click on account select account play as this account.
   10 in Google play select stfc play.

10. Game reloads.
    12 now fun begins
    Goes to downloading, activating then really laggy while UI loads.
    Wait for it to load... Completely ignore time outs.

11. Now every pip imaginable every screen system you enter will reload.

This is a hard uninstall reunstall

A couple of alliance mates had something similar to this but they managed to fix it
Uninstall, and then search through your files for anything left over for star trek fleet command. There may be stuff left over in your AppData folder area too, as well as the normal games folder.. Delete everything you find then try to reinstall. Maybe it'll work then

A relatively minor but still irritating UX issue:

with the update to Unity 2021, I can no longer rotate my screen on the mobile client.
I used to be able to flip my phone over if it was more comfortable that way and the screen would flip too, but that no longer occurs.
Further, the screen no longer allows me to turn to vertical orientation while in the chat screen, like it used to. This makes it mode troublesome to type

I had the same issue. I went into quick settings, and the edit of those, to find the rotation button. I found that portrait mode was locked on. Released it and all is working again. (I had added a management app before that to release the screen and sensor lockdown but removed now as superfluous. )
Something in the recent update caused this but I can't see what it might have been.

Interesting, but also thats the thing. I've had auto rotate turned off on purpose for years but it still worked in STFC. Now it doesn't. I generally despise auto rotate - truly, there's few things that frustrate me more than having my display rotate on its own when i don't want it to, but in the context of STFC its different... anyway, so that's a big shame

It is actually the standard google api causing this issue. Google upped their requirements meaning the wrapper on unitys side now needs a migration Process. But unity’s wrapper still runs on pre versions to the new versions that Google is using, so they all get a “no such thing” error
