Limit on the amount of hosti you can kill daily ( that actually give any type of reward) is limited long time ago. Reason, plenty of players used bot services for auto grinding automatically without even turning on their device ( it’s called cheating) so scopely put a limit on it so they can’t get for example 10B faction rep in 2 days. If scopely didn’t do that that yoi or someone was now complaining about that. And no I’m not working for scopely if you might wondering about it 🤣

The Mac app crashes after 100% of the launcher update and then won't restart. If you delete everything after that and try to reinstall, the same thing happens again.

For the love of Kronos, please fix the broken zoom function. I usually play fully zoomed out in systems, I want i to stay that way when going in and out of system and galaxy view. Some update has got the system view zooming in fully every time you jump from system to galaxy and back. This constantly having to zoom back out is VERY irritating especially when you are hunting during and popping back and forth alot. Also, if anything could be done to improve (as in drastically reduce) the amount of time it takes to SCAN targets, "That would be GREAT"

I have question regarding the 125% Vidar Loot exocomp. Is that for the regular Vidar, or does it work with the Talios?

Reason I ask, I just did two runs with the Talios against L33 borg probes - same crew, just one run with an exocomp and one without it.
Run 1: 72 borg probes hit, 334,970 inert nanoprobes collected
Run 2: 72 borg probes hit, 336,230 inert nanprobes collected (exocomp activated)

Pretty much zero difference. Yes, the ship was docked when I activated the exocomp. Is this a bug, or is the exocomp only good for the original Vi'Dar?

None of those officers will increase your damage per se.
5 will increase your mitigation, 6 will decrease their mitigation, Khan will increase crit chance.
And you're comparing two completely different ships between today and yesterday, so the numbers not lining up isn't really unexpected.

And if you're worried about the difference in damage between the 2 screenshots from yesterday in isolation, this just looks like the normal weapon damage range. Hard to say exactly without much more information, but if we for example assumed that you have a T5 korinar and that 3m was the average crit size for that weapon, then a 500k variance in possible damage would be expected.

Reinstall the macOS client, then download an called AppCleaner, then uninstall it from there and it will give you an option to delete all the files/folder associated with the STFC client.

Also, regarding the Mac version, this is stupid:

The game is a universal app - so it has x86_64 and arm binaries to run native on new and old macs alike.

The launcher however is an intel app that runs using rosetta.

By default, when rosetta spawns another process, it runs the x86_64 binary even if an arm binary is available.

So either the launcher needs to be made universal, or a bit of script needs to be added to detect the native architecture and run the correct binary.

Workaround in the meantime: With the launcher running, directly run the game app from ~/Library/Application Support/Star Trek Fleet Command/Games/Star Trek Fleet Command/Star Trek Fleet Command/Star Trek Fleet Command/default/game/Star Trek Fleet Command.app

I don't think those files relate to what you are looking for. The launcher does very little, basically just checks for an update.

An application like "AppCleaner" won't find the real goodies, because it's only looking at the "Receipt" from the launcher install. The launcher itself installs the game. You could try pointing app cleaner at the game executable but let me save you the trouble.

All of the real business is:
~/Library/Application Support/Star Trek Fleet Command/

User info would be:
~/Library/Preferences/Star Trek Fleet Command/

If you're trying to fully purge, i'd trash:
~/Library/Caches/com.scopely.startrek
~/Library/Caches/Star Trek Fleet Command
~/Library/Saved Application State/com.scopely.startrek.savedState

Reasonably certain that's everything.

Try changing the install path with the "browse" button there on that window.

The default location for install is in you user library /Users/{your_username}/Library/ but it doesn't have to be there.

That said, for whatever reason that folder - and likely your entire home folder - has a lower amount of available space, which could mean a couple of weird things, like your user account's home folder being on a seperate volume, or a quota on the account of a shared or administrated machine.

If you navigate in finder to the user library, how much free space does it say is available on the status bar on the bottom?
(you mihgt have to turn on status bar in the finder 'View" menu.)

try copying it from the disk image to /Applications first.

It's an efficiency calculation bug, it solved itself once you upgrade it

You need to level up the efficiency research and give the Disco a few tiers then it stops that bug completely

Till then you need to change that efficiency cost, trying different combination with blue stamet / green culber work well

Actually, I spoke too soon; the scrolling thing happens in all screens where there's left/right scrolling; the Office screen is an exception, in that up/down scrolling is consistent with what's expected with the macOS "Natural Scrolling" feature turned on.

If you care to try again, here's a wildly overkill procedure that should get around anything that could be in the way. Repeat any steps if you did them earlier:

• Copy Star Trek Fleet Command.app from the mounted .DMG [/Volumes/Star Trek Fleet Command] to the /Applications folder [/Applications]

• Delete any of the following if they exist:

~/Library/Application Support/Star Trek Fleet Command/
~/Library/Preferences/Star Trek Fleet Command/
~/Library/Preferences/com.scopely.startrek.plist
~/Library/Preferences/com.template.launcher.Star Trek Fleet Command.plist
~/Library/Caches/com.scopely.startrek
~/Library/Caches/Star Trek Fleet Command
~/Library/Saved Application State/com.scopely.startrek.savedState
~/Library/Saved Application State/com.template.launcher.savedState

(Note: I suspect you will only find two of the above - but if you see any of them, trash them)

• Then, go to System Preferences -> Security and Privacy -> Full Disk Access, click on the plus sign, and point it to the Star Trek Fleet Command.app you have in the /Applications folder.
(it may only need ~/Documents folder access but - you can close that down later if you wish, for now, toward the end of getting it to work at all, better to just disable sandboxing entirely)

• Empty Trash

• Reboot for good measure

• Run the Star Trek Fleet Command.app that you copied to the Applications folder.

Make sure the install location is pointed to somewhere on your root volume (e.g. ~/Library blah blah blah, the default) and really I think that ought to have squashed anything that could be messing it up.

There's a current issue with event and dailies scoring, these three dailies should not be reading different totals.

There are some hostiles that count as higher levels for faction dailies, so very possible that you've killed 16x 43+ and then several lower levels that had also counted for Klingon.
It's worth next time just checking what you're killing vs getting points for, as no one wants to report that particular bug 😅

It's a ship ability that won't have an activation message because it's always on. The default weapon damage of ships can be viewed by clicking the component while in the upgrade section when managing your ship. It can also be empirically tested against non-swarm hostiles to determine the range without the buff applied.

That used to happen with certain crew providing efficiency bonuses to mycelium use. Game couldn't handle fractions or something. Try changing crew members.

No one can attack a shielded base. If your shield drops, and your base is attacked, you will get a 10m autoshield. This takes time to regenerate, 2h, but it will give you enough time to prepare a defense or put up a new shield.

I have also done solos with 5/6/Kirk on Enterprise and Geordi/Bev/Nero on Augur and only get 4 edicts. Jaylah on Franklin-A is the only way to improve the number of edicts without the Defiant. I will try Enterprise with 5/6/Kirk and Franklin-A with Jaylah to see if this improves the edicts. I have been trying to grind the Defiant bp's but at ops 35/36 I can only get 1 bp every ~2.5 days. I have 35 bp's so far and figure about another 3 months to get all the rest. Improving the edicts will shorten the number of days.

Edict distribution comes down to the power you have in your armada among your 3 ships and rounding errors.

The Franklin-A is there for a 100% loot bonus with Jaylah, though with Edicts it can make it worse if you don't have sufficient edicts distributed (i.e. you could be getting 0 Edicts from the Franklin-A distribution, as it's not rounding the loot but truncating the loot).

But you seem to be missing the fact that getting 7 edicts versus 4 (23 solos) improves being able to pull an Elite Loot Exchange (90 edicts) from every 23 solo's to every 13 solo's. That greatly improves the number of diplo tokens I get to get Defiant shards faster.

Check your battle report from when you got 7 and when you got 4. Your power distribution has changed. Therefore the amount of edicts each ship earned has changed. Which means that the total take at the end will have changed

To summarise you are complaining that you changed the ratio in which edicts are distributed per ship. You want to fix it? Then change the distribution by changing your ship power

Some players have issues connecting. Stalling % looks to be around 90%. They are investigating.

If you're stalling at a different %, then you should try updating your game, rebooting the router, and/or uninstalling/reinstalling the game.

Every time the 10min chest resets, the notifications for the 7 day and 30 day chest are shown even though I cannot redeem them yet!

Does anyone know how to fix the Mac client so the content fills the entire screen? Using my MBP in clamshell mode connected to an external monitor. When I first installed the game it did utilize the entire screen. I played with the graphic settings in game and it changed to this. I've reinstalled, reset default settings, etc, and cannot get back to the entire screen being used.

Either it was the intention to give everyone 50 Lat in exchange for 400 Ex-Borg Credits or the Ex-B Faction store doesn't work properly.

It seemingly depends on the ships lvl but here it say S0-3, not S3-12 as I guess it should be.
