I'm not a big fan of Domination events. Having another layer of events in the background with extra rewards, however, is a plus. A month of extra rewards for events we'd be doing anyway. Why complain?

Extra rewards, for me is regular resources and the occasional 1-3 uncommon G3 resources. I wish there were ones with more ship blueprints + officer & ship xp.

Ship XP would be nice; especially for miners which are a pain to upgrade now you cant hit bases for xp. Officer XP I tend to get quite easily in faction hunt events, doing all three factions. Ship BPs again, these are usually top prize in the fractured empire event, thing is, to top that board you need a decent ship in the first place so by the time you get there they are useless!! Really the prizes and leaderboard should be tiered. As a level 31 player i cant compete with anyone above me due to the way the ships are ops locked.

<@&509691205798592532> February just starting and I tend to look backwards every month to see what happening on STFC and what scopely has been bringing out. January as a kick in the year was not too bad, yet not at the level of December with so many nice rewards to choose from events. however January with the Borg (which still need to completely unfold) has brought a new rhythm in the events, shorter event of one or two days brings a nice fresh on the game. we are finally getting faction events which is a musst to be able to upgrade our officers, I would even say that scopely started to understand that there are several categories of players and customers. the whales (nice content with blak jelly and dark space) on one side , the F2P on the other and that there were actually F2P willing to spend a few euro provided there was real money in the packs. This is for me the greatest learnng for the past month. I hope scopely will see the value of this and that more people buying small packs every 2 or 3months is better for the business. Next steps maybe move onto 5euro packs .... I look forward to the new borg content and hopefully less token rewards make us have fun raiding base come on it is a PvP game .....

Actually i like the suspense in the hour before the event. Everyone on our chat launching bets. Having a bit of uncertainty is good. We already have the weekly swarms and weekly lat. This gives 2 out of 7 days in a week.
On the flip side we got all surprised by the borg only few jours before released. The armada was a good launch a few days before doing prelaunch is nice too on new content
Look at starwars or avenger Movie release so long before makes people talk a lot about it that s pretty cool

you still have the borg point available in your material list, the event tiers were triggered by borg point collected. I see however looking forward that a Borg store would be opened so we can spend these borg point....I focus on doing all events at your max and ensuring a collection of the greatest amount of these..

@slim rapids actually i use those "no work event" to catch up either on mission or on FMs grinding this compensate against the days of faction event for example where I just have the time to do the swarms dailies... it is also the best time to spend the XP nicely won earlier...

Military supremacy event gives rewards for upgrading the Franklin + NS. I haven’t had an offer or chance to get either in over 2 months. The only other way to get rewards is by killing swarms level 26+. I’m level 20. Please don’t release an event for everyone when not everyone can get points. Or at least give people the chance to get blueprints.

I think Scopely should add a zero to all the mats rewards in all of the events. None of them are worth so few mats. when you need thousands of them anyways. the reward would transform from a drop of a drop in a bucket of mats to just a drop in the bucket of mats you need to upgrade your ships.

The only way to get an epic ship at this point is to buy one - and, because some greedy sob decided to afflict us with officer badges - which can ONLY be bought in the numbers needed - I am not about to spend on something I can get another way.
The things I haven't purchased because of badges would make any salesman weep.

Also some badges are available for free. You can get 3 of each with a bit of faction work, and some more if you push your rep far enough.

The event talks about the new areas, which you can ‘t excess tell what lv 35-40? Then for me build the Franklin or the A’vor. Unless you already have bought 45 plans the $140 you sad pend to get the 3 booster packs won’t even get you the ship! The A’vor will run you $20, but tier the ship up will take weeks yo build up the parts needed for the tier up! Knock the greed off.

Alliance leaderboard events are bad for the game. They force power to aggregate in the top alliances, strangling mid-level alliances. People should be able to play with whoever they want to play with and still having meaningful, rewarding alliance goals.

I agree. Alliance credits should be more attainable outside the top 5-10. This is the main source of shields for most players. The game is limiting itself by squeezing smaller alliances and their players out.
Big alliances are full, can't buy shields, get raided, quit game.

I would specifically like non-leaderboard alliance events. Give us goals our alliance can work towards as a team. I don't want to be feel forced to abandon my alliance just to have be able to participate in an event. I like the people I fly with and the top alliances on my server tend to attract people I wouldn't want to spend my game time with.

And then they get all the materials & lat and the gap gets wider. I think having a team work together to get goals (while not competing with other alliances) can encourage people instead of discourage.

Anyone with this error for the Borg Premium event and on iOS I got this fixed by doing a Hard reset on my iPhone. I also logged in and out of my Apple ID, redid my purchasing methods and reinstalled the App... so not sure if it was the hard reset alone or a combination of the above but after the hard reset it now works and I have purchased the premium rewards

Did all events I could but won't get the last 6260 points for all recon event and won't get the last in the event store either. That's alot of goods I paid for. When events are for points and alliance isn't high enough lvls the whales always get it. Maybe just add the points to my acct and I can claim those items.

Armadas is the biggest flaming bag of dogcrap that has ever darkened my door. It ties up ships for 13 mins at a time, has crap rewards and has notifications that we cannot individually turn off. As admirals we have to endure the highly annoying alerts ALL THROUGH THE NIGHT! Only been asking for this for months. When you reach the mission "the seeds of life", you are still trying to track down and stop the Vi'dar (according to the narrative). Yeah all the more reason I stopped paying for things in the game. You can’t be competitive in the events unless you spend 100-200$ for the events and that will only get you the lower tiers of the events. It’s stupid to think the average person has around 300-500 a month to waste on a game that tells you they reserve the right to change or take anything you buy. Nope in fact it’s getting worse. Since the last update my game crashes every few minutes when I click on things. I target hostiles but my ship won’t move to attack then fights from across system.

In order to complete the mission string and get inert nanoprobes you have 3 options:
- Pay money to build the ship. You will not get nanoprobes or warp cells until you do
- Wait to build the ship, as it will be free after you complete all milestones. Then see #1
- Steal inert nanoprobes from someone returning to station. You will no doubt piss them off, but it is a work around. It will not get you further along in the mission string for very long, though

It would appear that I miscalculated about the solo borg points thing not being enough to reach the reward 10. Assuming I calculated it right, it should be enough alone to reach that. If it's been going a full 30 days (month), there's actually a few day buffer in there. And ALB isn't required like last time just to make it under the wire. So... assuming I'm right, good job! Now just make previous reward 1-10 available for use with the new ones/or just useful period, and I'll be super happy. I'm interested to see the rest of this.

It does tend to be worse during mining events tho, people are a bit more vigilant because they want those leaderboard points.
that's why there should never be mining leaderboards, there just aren't enough nodes.

Tje problem with the mining event is at 300k you got 4.5k borg points then for another 4.5k you have to get 1.12m. They need to put more resource mines in systems like Tau Cell only a handful there half system empty.
Also lower levels for awards instead of 1.12m how bout 700k for max. They want us to buy the packs to pay for their beach houses. It doesn't cost them anything to make it fair for us who aren't whales

They don't. Were given in a pair of events (half each) and also available in store periodically I believe. Event has run at least twice, not sure if it's still running periodically for those without the ship though..

Pvp is useless. Killing miner 40k with ships 2 million in power is no Pvp, it pew pewing.
If you want Pvp, cap for every op ship tier / limit Pvp range to 2 lvl difference, and create REASON for Pvp. Then it would not be "the winner is the one who put more €€€ in the game" but the player who use best ship / best crew / best strategy.
Right now, there nothing like that. At op 33 what pleasure in Pvp can I take crushing some poor op 23 vaklas and envoy or getting crushed by op 40 jelly 3.5 million power?

Hostiles don't do this until you get into faction territory. And it also doesn't help you pick a losing fight with my alliance and claim the game is PVE. Let's keep this in server 28, shall we? Don't need to bother these good people with Snowflakery.

It's a mix, however events, dailies, missions all favor pve, making it a majority pve game
Pvp events wouldn't work because everyone would go after the weaker players, and it'd be very boring, because nobody would leave base, what's the point in going out when nobody else you can actually beat will leave base? That's why realta rumble is the only worthwhile pvp event

you are right and thats cause the pvp mechanics in this game was poorly made. Other games segment pvp battles to certain power, so skills and combo kicks in. Maybe like WoW where you go into a special pvp zone, and it segments you by power...or if not enough power, normalizes players

However since you launched borg part 2 the rewards and so worthless especially since you removed lat as a reward. 6 days of domination events in borg part 2. Around 6ndays of mining events and the only decent events have been faction hunt. How about more battle.for glory events, or the token rewards faction events or seperatist events. As for military supremacy....well you can shove it where the sun does not shine to be fair. I am ops lev 29 with a max daily lev of 35 hostiles and you offer me this ridiculous military supremacy event where you want me to hit 500 lev 36 ships. Fix your algorithms for goodness sake and as for your customer.service support..well it's about as useful as.offering me an event like military supremacy which is as useful as a.swing door on a.submarine.

However this event should be a bit more reasonable, I'd suggest keeping it level baneded like regular pve hunting events, like bfg, so 30s hunt 36+, 28s hunt 34+, and so on

I dislike military supremecy. I have to hit level 40s. As best as I can tell, each faction has 1 system with non-veteran 40s. Even if I'm the only ship in there, getting 500 spawns would be an all day grind. With other people fighting for those spawns, it's nearly impossible. I don't mind challenging events, especially when the rewards are good, but this one really isn't approachable 😦

Military Supremacy, while a long, long grind for those of us hunting lvl 40s, has rewards that actually make it worth the effort.
My alliance worked together and made it a lot less painful than trying to solo it would have been.
In all, I would say it is definitely one of the better events. Challenging, yet rewarding.
My only concern is that not everyone got the event. It's sad that some are getting left out.
I hate mining and dominion events passionately, but that doesn't prevent me from giving credit where it is due.
Military Supremacy is a win.

As much as I have hollered about the constant Dom and BFG events, I am happy with the points given by solos, not having to rely on ALB to have some . They allow for a day or two to be missed (b/c irl happens). I do wish they were more consistent with the 12k total points daily.

most of the events have really good solo rewards and virtually worthless alliance rewards unless you are in the top 2 or 3 alliances. Virtually all of the really good rewards are in the solo leaderboards which are impossible to even rank in for most players due to the extreme whale favoritism.

Every day that the Borg monthly event has been active, the daily events have been worth 12,000 Borg points. Suddenly, today's is only worth 9,000 Borg points? WTF! Was looking forward to starting to build the Vi'Dar today. Now, it will be another day, unless you suddenly decide to only make tomorrow's worth 500 points. What a crock.

Actually the orange helmet is a female. If you zoom you can see a more slender nose, more feminine lips, a thinner neck, and the helmet is even more tapered towards the chin.

I normally fully complete all faction hunt events. Out of the 6 hunts, I fully completed none and got 0 avatars. I completed 4 of them to max non-avatar rewards and only made partial (or no) progress on the others. I found the time required to complete the events excessive

I've grinded as hard as possible for weeks and I'm gonna be stuck with 25 vidar BP's, and the only purchase options are 50/$20 (limit 1) or $50/100. Neither of those are good value, and I could have just skipped the grind and bought the 100 at the beginning. The message I get is: don't play, just pay. So I think I'll take your message to heart and not play.
Also the Borg narrative is lame so far, so I have very little incentive to buy into more.

I have to agree with most people. I found the Faction Hunt Event grinding for all 6 avatars very excessive. The amount of time it took was almost unbearable. This is coming from someone who is almost dual Esteemed Faction. (Accustomed to Grinding).

Actually, just decrease the requirements for the last Avatar milestone 2/3rds would have been fine. Less time grinding. So instead of 1830 points for the last milestone, readjust it to 610.

It's an achievement unlock, isn't meant to be easy.. and putting other rewards in it means that people would feel like they can't just skip it, making it just an avatar leaves it as purely an achievement reward and easily skipped.

@frosty belfry Look, as I said in my opinion, they should give an extra prize with the avatars, since they put double the points to get the avatars that put more prizes, even if they are recruitment tickets of the officer that appears in that avatar, it would be a detail and at least it would be a good prize
but you apparently prefer that scopely laugh in our face, well come for the next one, the last decent prize that they put in 500 points and the avatar in 5000 to see if someone has the balls to try to get the avatar without an incentive
and each hostile give 1 point regardless of whether it is level 10 or level 50, would that be fair too?

@tall hearth and look, as I said in my opinion 🙄 as soon as you put anything worthwhile in that last tier people will feel like it should be achieved for the other rewards. Not everyone wants, cares about, aimed for, or got the avatars; and not putting in more rewards made that either an easy choice for them or less annoying. If you put in a small reward it'd still be a slap in the face, if you put in a good reward people will complain even more about the difficulty because they'll be missing out on the good rewards.
If you think it was too much work for the rewards given, then don't do it. Simple.

I'm not really upset about the stupid grind to get an avatar; I didn't get any, because I'd rather have a life rather then spend all my time on ST:FC. I'm annoyed the 4th tier was 750 instead of the 600 that the borg version was; I still did that with all 3 both times, but I'd have rather it not been more difficult for no particular reason.

Not sure how I came up short, as I maxed out everything but the faction hunt events, and I didn't necessarily skimp on those, just didn't spend the hours needed to complete tiers for more than Klingon, plus a bit of Federation.

Still not enough decoded data nodes in Augment space to make the event feasible or the effort worthwhile.
I beat the rush last time and completed the first day. A lot of effort for a handful of officer shards I can get from the Augment store and what turned out to be 0 blueprints.
But it's been a busy event schedule. I'll be glad of a break.

@plush hedge that’s intentional. The goal is to get people to compete vs each other, get angry about losing, and spending to catch up. Scarcity drives competition. You may have missed the days of massive fighting over 2* nodes in our server.

It’s literally Scopelys job to entertain us... and this weekend, when most of the industrialized world is cooped up at home, they are doing a really poor job at it. Data mining event... 0 on a scale of 10 in terms of player engagement.

This event is poorly thought out in conjunction with a lack of nodes and the past PVP level changes. This event is primarily for the highest level players. The lack of nodes brings out trolling and otherwise bullying behavior. I have already had one member threatened over a node (not as if they can enforce being a troll outside the game). Please think through your decisions on game "enhancements" more thoroughly in the future. This was a poor one that only a minority will be able to complete due to it being power player weighted. Many adults with jobs play this game. If you want to retain them then you need to think on how you implement these additions. Most will not stay up until 0300 in the hopes to find a node. Thank you.

Things would be a lot different if the game had skill-based PVP of any degree and if t didn't have a shielding mechanic that at it's very core prevents people from casual PVP for most of their game time
At least then, even if there was no hope for the majority of players to finish the event, there would be a small chance some people would have fun doing it

Much went downhill with the PVP level changes. There is no skill involved in a 1.2m hit on a 200k. It should have been in the opposite direction. More engagements upward vs downward. This would create more interaction in raid grouping to bring down a heavier foe versus one individual being able to one hit multiple bases. I would think that 5 up and 2 down would have been a better thought process.

Yes. It's amazing. I've been playing for over a year. Ranges have been tightened twice, I think. +2/-2 is new. Tokens are new. I got hit by 39 when I was 25. I get hit by 35-43 everyday and I'm 33. Ranges are due for another change, but +5/-2 is silly.

The zeta token rewards are not very compelling. The hijack bps might have been relevant a year ago, but not now. Even if eventually got enough bps to build one of them, it would only be filling a slot in my ship museum.
It's very hard to understand. It's like an even worse version of the augment recruit chest.

To “charge forward” with the “borg” events, then, with all that is going on in the real world, to have the 3rd event go back to augment/data, is honestly a sad insult.

Wow Scopely just wow. You launch a 3 Day long Data event. Apparently it seems like you are ignoring any feedback. FIX THE DAM NODES. Server 12 only has 18 Decoded Data nodes, that is a server where you will have less than 30 people finish there solo event out of an entire server. Ignoring the complaints of your players does nothing to benefit anyone. For once set the greed aside and actually put forth some effort in your dam product to maintain a player base.

Been playing since launch and the “ oh boy get ready, this will be GREAT!” Next event is ALWAYS, and from augment to armadas ( good grief what a 13 month poop on the face THAT was) separatist, ...etc.... a short term, buy packs blah blah. The bugs are overtaking the house and rather than make the house bug free, they keep adding rooms for more rent.
And I DO appreciate you volunteering, but the poop mountain is getting too tall.

I still enjoy the game but there are things I skip entirely - like data events - and that does put me behind.
Do they listen? I'd like to think so. We have seen some tangible changes based on community and mod feedback. It doesn't always feel like enough.
