I'm not sure there's any point to posting this here - every other post I've made on this discord just gets ignored by Scopley anyway - but why have 15 tiers of rewards for surges when it's chronologically impossible to kill enough hostiles to achieve it?

My alliance is #33 globally, with an active roster for the sunday surge ALB and even WE can't get past tier 6

Trash part is mostly cause of the scoring, how often you ran it within the past month and having some of it an RLB, and last day of events (just the SLB) doesnt count in the leaderboard

I give today's Continuum Pass event a solid ten out of ten. Extermination puts the BATTLE in Battle Pass. It's the only type of event that's truly engaging, even fun. It feels like genuinely playing a game, not just maintaining an account. An arc worthy of the name “Battle Pass” should consist entirely of variations of actual battle. Something to consider. even the elite and mythic passes have no officer badges.

We told them we need them to progress, so they're increasing the difficulty of acquiring to encourage purchasing... On top of the BP, Primes, and new weekly repeating events that are pay to participate and even more to complete.

This setup has actively made the game boring for me. Arenas are about the only thing left that I actually enjoy.
They have made my STFC budget disappear tho, so I guess that's good for me?

If im not misremembering - the ferengi event SMS at first day released at event reset, but the battle pass itself were missing at first. Didn't show up until an hour or so after (?). aah, if we didn't merge we would've had a perfect score. we won every one before the merge, and everyone since. but the one we merged with had a mix. they learned quickly though.

I was on 35. We got merged into 51. We both had significantly losing records.
40 got merged into 33. Both had significantly winning records.
35 had repeatedly faced and lost to 33... More often than we should have been matched with them given our respective records, but that may have been because it was early in the event history.
After the merger, I think we have faced all other servers combined less times than we have faced just 33, and we keep losing to them.
It got old a long time ago.

I’m fairly sure that Scopley knows the mechanics of the game but not how people play the game. There is no thought on how much time is required to complete the tasks or that not everyone has all the paid for tech in-order to do the tasks. A lot of people pay the 20 a month for the BP’s but it is pushing people away from doing even that. Greed has a negative effect of pushing the faithful away. I bet there’s a lot of game developers that would love to get their players to drop 20 a month.

The bell hopper maco event is not scoring right. I have 10 successful Qtrials but only 550 points. It is supposed to give 100 points per win plus 25 for the trial bells spent or 125 total per win. I should have 1250 points.

I had 375 points to go to finish this maco event. I successfully did 3 trials but it seems only spending the bells that get counted. The 300 remaining points for defeating the hostiles didn't get counted. Please make sure the points get applied before the event ends. And please don't make me open a ticket because it takes the support days to even get back to me, which would make this whole thing a moot point by then.

I put in a ticket, provided appropriate screenshots and never heard back in time before the event ended. Lost by 200 pts to,1st place and should have had an additional 600 points if not for this issue.

I do enjoy this game, I lead a great group of people in 717s top alliance and this type of reoccurring issue is one of the biggest reasons why I hear friends leave the game. Wow, actually Chain of Command is as bad or worse than War Machine, and not even in a "this is for whales" way. If I want to complete the heroic on this, I'm looking at basically taking an FC from tier 1 to 20. There are only so many FCs to spend XP and credits on, and it won't take very many events like this to run out of stuff to spend on, and even spending money can't change that. That's extra terrible considering FC upgrade is one of the rotating daily events. It's just really poor game design to literally not having a way to spend enough materials to complete an event.

November 11th is Remembrance Day. It is not a fictional holiday. It is a sacred day observed by millions across the Commonwealth and beyond, a day when we pause to honour the men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to their country and to the cause of freedom. It is a day of solemn reflection, of poppies, of silence at the 11th hour, and of gratitude for those who never came home from peacekeeping missions, active war zones, or other operations in defence of peace and liberty.

To take this hallowed name and attach it to a mobile game event running in May, months away from the actual date, feels profoundly disrespectful. It reduces one of the most meaningful observances in the lives of veterans and their families into marketing for fictional characters and fictional sacrifices. Real Remembrance is not about points, rewards, or limited-time events in a video game. It is about blood, loss, and the heavy cost of service.

This is not a minor naming issue. It is yet another example of Scopely failing to understand or show basic respect for its player base, including the many veterans, serving members, and their families who play your game. Many of us turned to Star Trek Fleet Command seeking escapism, camaraderie, and a sense of exploration. Instead, we are confronted with the casual appropriation of a term that carries immense emotional and historical weight for those who have actually served.

I respectfully urge you to immediately rename this event and refrain from using "Remembrance Day" in the future. There are countless other fitting titles within the rich Star Trek universe that would not trivialize the real-world sacrifices of veterans across all nations.

To every veteran reading this whether Canadian, American, British, or from any other nation know that your service and the memory of your fallen brothers and sisters deserve far better than to be used as a seasonal event theme.

Community Managers, I do NOT like the 12 hour incursions. It stinks. You should do it 16 or 18 hours. It would accommodate more people being able to participate. Some people are busy during the day with either work or family stuff. Other people can be busy in the evening. People on the West Coast, Hawaii, Alaska it ends before evening down time really starts. You should run it from 8 am-Midnight PST. Then it would be ending at least at 10 (if I have my time zone right) in Hawaii and 11 (if I have my time zone right) in Alaska, given a greater number of people a chance to fit it into their day

The weird incompetence on basic things is just astounding. This event happened this morning, and I got burned by it. I joined all three factions (WHICH SHOULDN'T BE REQUIRED ANYWAY) and then spent one of my two Dauntless autogrind tokens to kill Feds.

I went back to check how much of the Fed event was complete and found I got nothing for it and my token was wasted, because the three factions I joined were Klingon, Romulan, and Klingon.

Its particularly annoying as the Station Advancement event on Day3 is the one i try to do best on, to get valuable Dauntless parts.
It's hard enough to get far into the Heroic using everything i have in stock, but now if I'm keeping Facade and Academy upgrades for Venge event, it'll be bascially impossible.

The change of DreadNought to Sat-Mon is good, now overlaps weekend recruit event.
But having the Venge events either side of, not including, the Interstellar building event, is really bad. The first now overlaps ID with the research day, the second with the ships day, if you happen to have the latest type of each that scores for VIM.
It could be solved by having the first of the two VIM events run Tue-Thu (Research and Building), and second Thu-Sat (Ships and Lat)...

Imagine going to a bus or train depot, where your only option is to board a bus or train going to a Random destination...The word depot no longer applies with the newly imposed format. The entire reason players liked the officer depot was because having nearly 300 officers in the game, and only being able to pull a few random shards from some a big pool of officers makes it extremely annoying and difficult to tier up the officers you actually need to tier up. The Officer Depot was good, there was no reason to change it. Epic shards were expensive, so its not like it allowed players to just complete their officers without any pain point.

New events to speed up specialty ship development is not really what we need, because the speed is good. What real problem is, is that they are ops locked, which ends development practically the moment they are built. I am ops 35 and I just acquired several ships: Voyager, Mantis, Talios, Franklin-A, Feesha, and development of these ships ended the first day because they got ops locked momentarily. So acquiring more parts and help in this matter does nothing, since I accumulate them anyways and can't make any use of it.

Generally these ships get ops locked too soon, making them weaker than ordinary ships at given level, and not useful for anything else than their specialty

Borg Conqueror L62s have gotten tougher for some mysterious reason. I could have stayed at ops 51 and done it there but I wanted my uncommon ships. the mastery of the ship requiring ops 71 is pointless, the monaveen offers different mastery rewards for different generations. (G6 gets sigma sub G6 does not) the NX01 should have been similar. this just looks like you want to push people up in ops. just like it did with the mantis & meridian. All three ship loops that I ignore as much as possible and just do the bare minimum for which is either a 1x a month grind or use the exborg store.

It is not, 71 uses enhanced one, but apparently its fairly easy to convert them. So I guess its not that hard to get once youre 71, just stupid that you need to convert them. As a level 71 with a tier 5 Vengeance I can, relatively comfortably, farm level 69 academy drones hostiles now that I have the academy building level 25. That means that to complete the heroic SMS I'd need to kill 19200 of them. At 5 seconds per combat not counting flight time in-between each battle, downtime for repairs, etc, that's 96000 seconds, so 1600 minutes, so 26.66 hours. Taking into account the downtime between battles that's basically 2 days without sleeping. For a ridiculous 125 class honors and 38 exotic spirits shipments ! That's not even one level of each building !

FKR sigma choice tokens also have minimal value. Why? Cuz not only are g7 ship bps very expensive, but because of Fac Rep, mats, and rss reqs for Ops73+ and Prestige Rep levels, it doesn’t matter how much sigma Fac Creds we have, cuz it’ll take months and months before we’re in a position to spend them without massive $$ spending.

Wasn't planning to pay for the BP, but seeing that in the Event Store tab, I checked what the rewards are from...
I get that you are trying to get people officers they need and such, but being in the remedial BP at ops 56 with nothing in the pay track gives me is useful to me, this previous spender is no longer spending. There in no value in the BP anymore, which I used to religiously buy.
This is a perfect example of the attitiude that giving some very limited choice is still giving choice... it isn't. Officer depot tokens are useless to me now as well as there is a good chance I will get even more useless currency in the form of transporter patterns, unless you are planning to add a LOT of officers to TP, which does not seem likely.
Seriously, there are only 0/2 uncoommon officers, 12/58 rare officers, and 19/57 epic officers that will actually reward me. The rest will be TPs, which are less useful to me than the other thing TP refers to in common US English speaking.

Officer Depot tokens have lost 97% of their value to me as of today. Before: 4000 tokens got me a 100% chance of getting what I want. Now 4000 tokens get me an 89% chance of getting transporter patterns, a 8% chance of something that's both not useful and adequately sourced elsewhere, a 1% chance of getting what I want. and a 2% chance of getting something else I need. Of course, if I hit that 3% chance, it's possible I'll get more than one officer shard, but that doesn't really make up for it. What do you think?

Things I currently dislike MOST abt this game:

1. The so very obvious attempts by Scopely to PUSH us into spending.
   • I have no problem spending a little money in a game as I see it as the same as paying to see a movie, go to a museum, or the zoo. But I have to want it AND I have to feel like I am getting my money’s worth. I am not paying $50 for a Happy Meal but I may pay $50 for at an upscale fine dining restaurant.
   Scopely’s problem: a) They charge $50 for a Happy Meal. b) The more I feel you are cutting off all avenues to force me to spend money the less I am going to spend, especially with how bad the recent changes Scopely has been making and all the glitches they never fix

2. The new battle pass format
   • I have zero desire to complete it, I have zero desire to buy, it makes me grumpy when I see it (because I ABHOR what they have done to it)
   Scopely’s problem: Most people need tasks and events to stay engaged in the game. When tasks seem insurmountable without spending hours doing them or tasks have “meh” rewards, they just don’t bother and you loose their interest.
   Scopely’s problem: They make no money off of people who quit.
   Scopely, you can catch more flies with honey than with vinegar . If Scopely had taken what they had for the Mystic pass, even in lesser amounts, and put that in the elite position and combine it with the was the pass the way it was before the changes and you would probably a lot more people buying the elite. And it is better to have 100 people buying a $20 pass than 20 people buying a $50 pass

3. Getting rid of the RSS tokens
   • At first I didn’t like them because I felt that we were getting less than we had gotten before but they quickly grew on me. The rss tokens was one of the few reason I WOULD buy the battle pass on a rare occasion.

Yeahhhh…..not happening, Especially with the house holding all the cards. Quite frankly, I have zero trust or faith in Scopely and I wouldn’t put it past them to put in some algorithm to populate less desired tasks more frequently to get you to burn through your rerolls in hopes you will buy more. .
   And seriously, giving people enough for one reroll for trade in of 15 of the old?!?!?! PEOPLES, a lot of players spent MONEY to get their rerolls and you just devalue them? Yeah, another reason I will NEVER buy rerolls, I don’t trust Scopely not to make them worthless, they’ve done it once already

• People have lives, some people can play in the morning, some can play in the evening. You don’t want to do it 24 hours…fine, then at least do it either from 11 am EST to 3 am EST or from 8 am EST to 3 am EST. That allows everyone any opportunity to play no matter their time zone.

7. Adding new glitches without fix old/not working out bugs and logistics BEFORE releasing new content.

— Solo waves still have problems with kicking you out.
— Lag remains a constant problem
— Arenas have a bunch of problems like armadas not counting down on screen so it never clears (ship will battle at appropriate time but the armada countdown will still say 29 sec on screen (or it gets stuck on “ 0” so won’t repopulate) and not go away unless you reboot

I have the same experience. It has caused me to give up on the loop. I could do it on update 90, but update 91 has made the loop impossible for me. I put up a 3 day shield and am planning on archiving my account. Gonna sleep on it.

I just dont see a good future for this game and I don't see it ever improving. Regardless I don't like the way Scopely makes me feel. I feel that as a customer and a moderate spender, they hate me and just want me to go bankrupt. Every update is a change that penalizes me, works against me, makes the game harder but also less fun. This was the last straw for me. I know Rev said the VP is looking at fixing this. The game is not broken, Scopely is broken. It's because of Scopely decisions that people are quitting. Concept behind MACO was pretty solid…

My main issue was the core Multi-Day SMS and SLB wasn’t rewarding officer shards many established players needed.
Considering that, by competing in the linked SLB’s and SMS’s which had some worthwhile “loot” (Lat and Syndicate XP) and placing well we ended up effectively ”robbing” a another player who likely needed the ePicard shards.

Had Officer Choice remained, and this event rewarded Officer Depot Tokens I would have given it 4.5 stars

As usual STFC has taken something that while not great wasn't horrible and screwed it all up out of pure greed, we had to punch down on the duo waves being ops 71 and another player ops 72 we could do a 66 duo wave with one Vengeance and another epic plus my ships a 90 billion krencha and a 50 billion Enterprise E. Now with the new duos he bought the ship got it to tier 6. I got my Vengeance, and my Krencha is now 115 billion and we couldn't finish a level 61 wave, got to wave 8 but didn't finish. Having to punch down 10 and 11 levels and not finish is basically a way for STFC trying to make people spend on the new ship just like making the missions stall with build new ship or stay stuck. I used to buy all the ships but stopped when the GS31 came out because the have a new ship every two months and take forever or tons of money to make them useful and by the time the new ship is out the one you just got is useless because that arc is forgotten about. Specialty ships used to be useful for a decent amount of time now they're like disposable one time use items you buy and throw away. I hope changes come to STFC soon because evey arc pushes people towards the door

— they are not interested in what is being offered,
— they feel ignored time after time
— they feel like they are being pushed into spending
— don’t feel they are getting value for their money
— glitches after glitches interfere and take things from you and then it a battle to get things back. Half the time you have to produce a picture when it is already done and over with.

For example, the game ate my wave tokens, HOW am I supposed to take a picture of that? It is done. I usually just take a ss of my ships sitting at the base. If you don’t send some ss, they will ask you for one anyway.

And, often it is some issue that aren’t any surprise as they are known issues and yet you still get silly responses of how to “fix” it. It already happened, it’s a known issue, my clearing my cache and all those other answers won’t change your glitch, just refund what the game ate.

So Scopely makes things so much worse. I half believe that someone at Scopely is trying to sabotage the company.

Personally, I stopped buying the battle pass routinely when they took the rare armada tokens out of it. The one reason I would buy it occasionally was to get more rss tokens to spend. Now they took those out and cut the battle pass rewards to nil and boring (even the mythic pass this month is boring, at least last month it was desirable even if I didn’t buy it.)

The continuation of reducing the value of the battlepass is ridiculous. Removing the choice tokens was a slap in the face of your player base. And the f2p portion is abysmal. I used to buy battlepass, but no longer see any value to them, especially when I feel forced to in order to get the little bit of crumbs stuffed into the new $50 tier.
Removing the officer depot was also an A+ decision. Every bit of control that players had over their gameplay is being stripped one by one, which is why many are no longer spending and many are quitting the game. Bring back our options to advance our accounts on our terms, to fit our play styles

I must say that DUO waves are of no interest to me, and the second strongest alliance on S20 isn't investing in them or running any. Solo waves are a chore. Group waves were fun until they were obsolete. Scopely if you want to do these new waves right you'll build in the option of 'select your wave type... Solo, Duo, Group'... that builds in flexibility and doesn't pigeon hole new content. As nobody in my alliance is investing in the Athena, I'm not either. But I was ready to.

That’s the other thing. Not only do people want to be doing the same level duo waves as they were before, they need a partner with an Athena. But that Athena owner needs to be able to cope with the academy drones at that level with their other normal ship.

I can’t really support my usual wave partner because I don’t have the ship. I can only kill a few of the venari ral in the level 66 wave 5 before I go boom so I’m holding him back. It doesn’t feel good tbh.

It feels like some of the new content isolates the players who invest because it’s so dependent on more than one invested player being involved and working together. It felt the same way with the sphere grind on the ALBs in recent arcs. Only a handful able to contribute leading to endless grind if they want to do well in alliance leaderboards

My guess is people are spending less and less so they are trying to push harder and harder to force people to spend money….They just don’t seem to understand the way they are going abt doing it is not how you motivate people. All these people complaining are going to hit the end of their rope and give in and quit. I do not like the Paragon recruit event, as the rewards are for me just to diluted. To the Spend and SLB do not appeal for spending much recourse on to it. As you can see on my chest i have many of the Officers in the chest. So way spend material, on getting Transporter patterns that i also have maxed, all officer in the Transporter Patterns. Spending material and getting noting is not a god investment

That's funny. Almost everyone here is sure that Scopely is losing money hand over fist because spending is way down. Ask yourself this - if that were true, why hasn't anything changed? New ships still come out every arc to be purchased, and they will continue to follow that trend. People are still spending money. Maybe not the ones in your alliance/"friends" circle but there are still enough spenders out there that Scopely doesn't have to change anything at this point.

One easy way that should be caught but is often quietly overlooked is presenting the numbers as “Average purchase is higher” after raising prices.

I only focus on the older stuff. I have only done 2 duo waves in over a month. And now they made them even harder. Hard pass on these. It doesn't help seeing all these Heroic events either, or events made to deplete your directives so you have to spend to complete it. I know in my Alliance, people are barely spending.

They have the best clients...the ones they already have, leaving in droves or spending less or nothing...thats just stupid. There's a book called, "How to Lie with Statistics," and I'm sure their spin team all own a copy and have read it. I never saw as many people leave as last month, and this one, after the huge change in getting rid of the Choice Rewards and removing the choice in the Officer Depot tokens. Despite the huge backlash, nothing changed. That says it all about who Scopely is. Then, this month, giving us a new IA but making it ridiculously long and keeping it at ops 71.

I will provide a real world example though....Lets say i used to spend and average of 500/month..not whale territory but decent, so 6k a year ave. I was for sure not the top spending in my alliance of over 100ish or whatever we maxed out at. Now we are 20. because we stopped adding new people a year ago and dont care. A few still spend but nothing like before at all. All my friends on the server and I mean every one left on the server either spends nothing or maybe max 100 bucks a month..thats one alliance and one server. Think i am an abberation or the norm? Most of my friends have left the game. MOST. Because the game runners are now stupid. They had over 500 people daily they should be getting money from if they did a good job...They dont and havent for what about 3 years? That aint scopely purchase, thats just bad management. But let me say, glad i didn't invest in STFC other than time the last 2 years. BTW we also have had 3 server mergers since i started, so all those people left too. I've been accused of being a Scopely supporter. I consider myself a realist and a contrarian. I don't necessarily have to believe in a stance to argue against another. Whether that explains anything is also up for debate, I suppose.

I'm not sure how less spending and letting alliance numbers falter are connected, but your alliance has its reasons. There are always new people to bring in and mentor/teach. The game is fairly easy for F2P with a game plan and not worrying about FOMO.

I've started over on at least 4 different servers over the years. The latest one went through a server merge last year, maybe? Each server I was on before I learned a little more than I knew previously talking to new people. Even now I know things I didn't before and though I don't plan on starting over, I would do things a little bit different the next time around.

I've never spent any money on the game and won't. I won't ever hate on people that do spend. It's their/your money, they/you are absolutely entitled to spend it how you see fit. Spending does not equal entitlement, though. Spending is a choice.

I also think emotional attachment plays a very large part. If the game shuts down tomorrow it wouldn't bother me one bit. Probably do me a favor to free up some HD space for another game to play. My brother still plays WoW because he can't walk away due to all the time he's put into it. There are other players that might have a harder time with it and might be where some of the passion in the posts come from.

I can't say if Scopely is doing a good job or not. If they plan on shutting down the servers, putting up billions of dollars for the purchase was ridiculous.

I'll also suggest if people are so sure the end is near, put up a futures bet on Kalshi.

So you’ve been playing as long as you have, and couldn’t care if Scopely pulled the plug on it tomorrow, you’ve never spent a dollar on the game, yet…you can’t say if Scopely is doing a good job or not, can’t grasp how less spending and players leaving the game in droves (it’s not just that alliance who’s numbers are faltering, it’s happening on every server across the game) to the point that players are begging for server mergers - just to keep their servers alive enough to keep the game playable, AND you still find yourself needing to defend Scopely, a company who brags about earning $10 Billion in revenue, yet can’t even do the bare minimum to keep the game functioning on the most basic level?? The general apathy you just claimed in that last comment isn’t really meshing with your needing to defend their actions here from players who are rightly fed up with their disregard for player feedback and their constant changes in attempting to force more spending from an ever smaller and more frustrated player base. If you really couldn’t care if the game shut down tomorrow, then stop the unnecessary replies to players who DO care about the game, and let them vent their concerns and frustrations with defending Scopely. Give us the ability to actually be involved in the events. I used to be involved in every event that changed daily. Since November 3rd, I can't do any of them, I can't get any resources large enough for upgrade or research events. I am stuck with ALL of my officers maxed out and not getting any new ones and some I have require thousands of faction credits to promote so this officer has sat there stuck for over two weeks as it is impossible to get that many fraction credits as I can't finish any missions as I can't upgrade anything to have the strength to complete them.

@ornate trellis it sits inbetween the Turas and Vahklas for me... A little stronger than the Turas but much weaker than thr Vahklas... Making it good for a very short window... Once the Vahklas was tiered up one time it was already a more useful ship even with a lower strength rating... It takes more hits and just makes the Jelly obsolete very fast...

Together with the high repair costs for both the Jelly and Vahklas though, I have been using Turas, Talla and Phindra... Not only did I use all my resources from the merge, but I am also in raid range for the level 30+ players so they collect dust unless I am holding a mine whilst my envoy empties..

I would suggest clearly marking what the ore/gas/crystals or changing the icon per type. My guess is your own dev team doesnt know whats in the packs and it's purposefully misleading to drive sales.
