Since you have no shields to help, mitigation stats are more important, it lowers the damage you take. Take that into account when crew building.

Had to skip the SMS on hunting Xindi: simply don't have time on killing over 600 scouts, as I (46opc) can't kill not a single their warship - although I've got beam delay and remove any crit-makers from both decs.
And bringing even more grinding into the game is a clear way to heavily cut number of players!

but it works mostly well on a pilum.

in general i would emphasize on killing them off in the first round (thus harrison or mudd and thus: pilum.)
and pmharrison is more consistent but takes more time. 5TH is good and much faster.
if you're critting accidently, it takes more round = more damage for you

Xindi hostile hunt event is a horrid joke. Impossible to do efficiently and effectively, even with the new xindi specific things from the faction store, proper crewing, exos, and Cerritos boost can only take out one 40 level ship per hull with a maxed augur. This is not set up for success for lower 40s players. Even some 50+ players are stuck hitting in the 34s and 35s systems.

I can't help but ponder if their intention is to actively encourage players to depart. Have you all taken a close look at the trade-down option in the faction store? Now we have three new currencies designed to be traded down to yet other currencies? The Xindi milestones appear to be downright unattainable. It feels like they're continuously introducing so-called features that strip away the delight from the game. When joy diminishes, it often signals a call to quit, and it seems like they're actively streamlining that departure process.

Xindi event is completely ridiculous for anyone who isn’t a whale, there’s big level 40s and some in their 50s who aren’t able to do this event on our server. And the rewards definetely don’t justify the amount of slog needed. I get wanting to create new challenges for the bigger players but this is stupid. its 10 points per scrap, so if the ship had 10 scraps on it that would be 100 points. thats why, I think. if it was set up like the higher levels ones it wouldve been way easier to complete for the lower levels compared to what it ends up being. still seems hefty for higher levels with that increase in points needed for completion, though. whew...

No I’m ops 49 and my score card still reads 10 points per scrap. But it was actually scoring 100 points per scrap. Issue for lower levels especially without even a 42 ship is that you can only kill 34s reasonably well and those have almost no loot even compared to the 40s.

I finished it with my maxed g3 epic in the 40 system, but it was incredibly difficult and not at all efficient, but it did take less time than it would have had I stayed in the 34 system. at my level we cant even get g4 ship prints yet consistently (I can farm them, slowly, and I'm able to get the hydra prints but thats not a warship, lol). even if we could, the ships would be so low level and new and the research wouldnt be progressed enough for it to make much difference with those hostiles.

Scopely, your grind for these new hostiles took several hours instead of the "five minutes" we were told through the CC's. Either the loot requirement for chest pulls needs to be lowered or the amount of loot gained per kill significantly increased. I spend hours grinding and millions of tritanium repairing just to complete event and get a single chest pull, not even a double pull. This grind loop right now is not worth the time commitment required or the ship repair costs to conplete. You need to immediately address this!

i have no problem with Xindis, curr lv41, i can kill 100 L34-35 xindis in 10 mins if no one's around with 3 ships loot&impulse crew combined

To currently unlock the first tier of crit floor costs 3120 Uncommon ex borg credits. The refinery pays out 170-340. 10-19 days of refineries. I need 95k Xindi scraps at 55. My t4 vorc is 117mil power and I can earn a MAX of 1700 off a 51 (I can't kill a 53). and that is 1 kill per trip. I MIGHT could get 2 once every 10-15 battles if I don't have a lot of crits. It is a 5 minute travel time there and 1.5b Trit to repair the damage. That is still 56 kills a day and that is if I got a MAX loot each time (with loot crew). Heck, even if it were 2k a ship, that is still 48 trips. That is 8 hours! a day just for a single refine. 72B trit a day. So for just the first tier, that is 720B-1.4T trit, 80-152 hours, and 1920-2110 1hr speed ups....for just the first tier. And my crits would do 10% damage and it would change ABSOLUELTY NOTHING ABOUT THE GRIND. BEST case is I might get 2 ships per hull. If that were the case, it is now 4 hour grind a day, just for it.

THIS IS BEYOND UNACCEPTABLE. And you want me to spend 110 bucks just to speed this up to 4 hours a day! NO THANK YOU.

Go to the 48 system and kill a bunch there. Most of the rewards (750 per loot chest) come from the loot chests. I get 10-13k per hull with a 140M Corvus. It's not great either and still very unacceptable, since the 2x refine is 150k

Same here. Ops 55. Corvus is 4.3B trit a repair at T6 lv30. I get same amount of loot from lv51s and lv50s. 3 kills per Hull on 51s vs 8 per Hull on 50s. Makes 1 chest refine about 9-10 runs. So 45B in trit a day. No thanks

This game is turning into work simulator. Log in and do your dailies grind. Only takes 8 hours a day. If you don't do it you won't get paid. Lag provides the overtime. You are selling an experience or a feeling. When that feeling is monotonous disappointment and frustration you may have missed the mark. I am sure some players are into it, everyone has a kink, but I would not think the majority of the player base enjoys a punch to the genitalia everyday let alone paying for the privilege. The experience of the new loop where you spend more time warping to the system and repairing then actually playing the game and killing reds may be comparable.

Ops lvl40 here. This was truly the first time I felt this game became, “pay to play”. So I paid hoping to jump into that “pay to win” category. Guess what? It did absolutely nothing. My battle logs look almost exactly the same as before I bought the pack and I still can’t kill lvl 40s. So I guess it’s lvl 34 & 35 for me with a chance at 1-4 pieces of loot pre and no boxes dropped.

It’s more about scoring, depending on your OP’s tier and voyager tier you are looking at 140+ kills which is a slog.

If you have “average” or below average crew options available it can take a couple hours to complete

I have no clue how i can even get a single box from the Xindi Screp Exchange. For the SMS Event i got 40k, while the highest paying outcome were 40s at ~2300-2400, going 44 halves this.
The Box costs 60k. And all i get is a chance on some more credits which will solve absolutely nothing.

Thankfully there is the "Ship Ability Fuel" box that you can click and instantly spends Credits, which i just accidentally did.

The none elite versions are a lot easier to kill with normal ships. 11m one is in Valla Terna and will give you near 4x the points of the 43 elites. 19m one is in Aran. Although the event says destroy Hirogen, it also says about destroying hostiles in Delta Quadrant. So any hostiles there should count

Made it to the third milestone on Tucker. Which is about where I usually land on these SMSs. But I’m also usually placing in the top 10 or top 5 on the SLBs, which is where most of the shards come from. So instead of the usual 40ish shards, I’m getting 9.

Even if you bought 4 of the 100 dollar packs of resources it would not give you enough to get Tucker unlocked. 4 packs will net you about half the SMS. To do it 3 weekends (the cheapest method to get to unlock) I'd need to spend $700-800. To just buy this weekend it'd take 874K points which would be ~ 9.5 packs worth or $900-1000. Reminder: Scopely, you want f2p / light spenders to continue playing your game so the whales have people to play with. Not only did this take away a competitive/social aspect of the game, but it basically doubled the cost of officer acquisition.

The limitation on spending mats, especially uncommon mats, is caused by the lack of rare mats. Im sure im not the only one with stockpiles of uncommon i cannot spend even if i want to. So the tucker sms is untouched. The cost is too high, thees no slb to be able to get extra shards through. Scopely seem to have a beancounters attitude to data reporting on players in the game, they dont understand the WHY of character inventory.

The only way to get them to change, is to stop supporting the nudging they are trying to steer us to. Dont take part in badly designed or priced events.

Adding one more voice to the chorus about the insanity of the Recruit Trip SMS:

1. At ops 41 my top milestone was 10.23M, my members at ops 49 had 10.4M. That’s almost worse than if they were the same, because it shows that the arc runners knew it should have been scaled by level and then it effectively wasn’t.
2. I did upgrades I was planning to do regardless of the event, but I can’t think of any previous SMS where all of these upgrades would have only resulted in only 25% completion: Ops 42, Academy 42, R&D 42, Shipyard 42, Scrapyard 42, Ship Hangar 40, Drydock A 42, Drydock B 42, all Talios T5 upgrades unblocked by the ops change, built a Valdore and took it to T4, and a bunch of researches.

One of my team members started at 42, finished most of the way through 44, and only got halfway. He projects he would’ve needed to get to 46 to actually finish it.

Same as the Making it Go/We Need That limits, reaching the current totals depends on too much of the very things that are not easy to get or use in the first place at times and measn only very few can actually hit those tiers unless you are high enough in level with enough in reserve of what you need to use or collect.

@storm ridge @wanton copper want to lessen the grind. Give something like freebooters for factions and odd hostiles. That does not need a grind or pay. Seems Scopley is stuck. Want quality of life. You need to earn it or pay for it. Not cool. Some games. You master an event. 5 10 perfects or whatever. You can auto skip for a victory. Maybe an auto skip for master that gives 75 to 90 percent or loot, grinding 100 percent of loot and paying of course what you invest into it. This could be for long events like franky or Stella. Some events have an easy out. Like grind hostiles or tier ships. Those that don’t have that easy should have a mastery and in time maybe some of the easy should have a mastery also.

I know scopley likes that new player take them for all they are worth. But. Might work for a few games. But once you upset groups on multiple games. They see new games made by scopley and guess what? 😂 those that know best have spend a lot or grind a lot. Stay clear. So how about a quality of life that does not cost. 😀

Scopley…. Your waves are broken. Our bigs big 4 waves back to back. We even moved to different wave areas in the level 40 waves. I took pictures the last time around. It clearly shows we are on level 10. I took pictures when having around 10 hostiles left and then took another picture when we had 2 left to destroy. Our bar that shows the hits in the base was full with no hits. The next picture shows the base blowing up the it shows we only finished 9/10 but we finished killing all hostiles. This happened 4 times in a row. Plus the points we get are around 2400 not the 3800 we should get. So we are missing points for doing waves.

If you consider the favors of the shop, they only benefit doing waves, which are already godawful by design and i dont know how anyone could mess up designing a wave defense mode.

I guess i focus on getting the Tally Skin and the Prime Particles and not care about anything else since its overpriced AF and needs tons of work, which we already have an overload to deal with.

Feedback on Hint the Hunters: it's a lot of grinding. Am lvl 45, maxed my Voyager for my lil, need 320k points to finish the event, but I can only hit level 43 hirogen as my warp range doesn't go further. In need about 140 kills to finish the event. Imho this is too much

Kill the regular hirogen hunters in the area where the UC formadas are, using your regular ships and not voyager.

I killed 2 level 49 hirogen hunters in Aran to finish at Ops 42. I know your milestone is higher but you should be able to kill those if I can.

Two things to consider.

• You're not forced to complete all events.
• Scopely bases 'good events' on how many people complete/interact with them.
  It's not in the player base's interests to force yourself to do the bad events, some events are either just bad, or 'not doable yet' for individuals.

The xindi event (aside from I think 58s and 64s where the brackets were temporarily messed up), is based on grinding out two days worth of single pulls, over two days. If you're not in a position or have interest in doing those pulls... don't do it. But if you can do them relatively OK, it's not terrible, as it's just the "normal" grind they're expecting.

If you don't have the ship power/crew yet, don't do it, don't put yourself through that pain 😄

The xindi grind event and grind is still too time consuming! I’m a level 46 with a 21M Valdore as my strongest ship. I have the full big gun reduction reward to delay the doomsday weapon to round 6 and I STILL can only scratch the level 40 Xindi’s! Even so I’m okay with leaving the event rewards at the current point tiers if Scopely would increase the loot from the 34/35s. With a full loot crew getting 4 xindi scraps per kill when a single reward pull is 2000 xindi scraps?!?! With all the other grinds in this game the xindi grind is one I’m going to skip until that 2000 is reduced again, or loot per kill is increased. 500 kills for one reward tier is a no go. Totally ridiculous!

There's no need to suggest cheating. If you played the same strategy for the full 24h, then your score would only reach ~105m. Therefore, your strategy is plain worse than theirs.

You might want to spend a few min looking for what the high performers are doing and steal some ideas. 16h of effort should win almost any competitive event if you're using the best strat.

Your score is ~70b in 16h using whichever method you're using. If you spent the full 24h using that method, then the expected return is ~105b. I don't need to know the specifics of the strat to know that 105b < 157b.

What I suspect is that the winner used fewer than 16h, because that amount is excessive, and nearly impossible for anyone else to match. The conclusion is that they had a better method than you. There is insufficient information to determine if they cheated or not.

I have many mentors to check in with, and they all say my strat is sound n correct.

Again, it doesn't matter what you used, it was not good enough even if you played for another 50% more time for the full duration. What I know is that if you used the same ship and crew, against the same hostiles as the other player, then you'd almost certainly win because very few can spend 16h on this game grinding. The problem is not effort, the problem is most probably not "cheats," the problem is almost certainly that you used the wrong strat.

The fastest way to beat them, is to copy what they're doing. And then you can choose to do it longer than them, or tinker and do it better.

Your score was obtained via 16h of grind, a general impossibility for everyone else. That means they were earning pts faster than you. That means there is a strat out there that is better than yours.

I don't immediately know what that strat is, so therefore, the best option for future runs, is to find them and copy it.

I am also 27. I seems to have had a much faster scoring pace.I scored 20 billion with around 4 hours of grinding. Used 3 tokens for 29 borg space, also 35 Klingons and 28 swarm to complete the daily’s. Had a 7-5-9 crew. I left both space once my cargo was full, normally had 60-70% hull remaining.
Borg space has much better spawn density than anywhere in FKR space. So it’s less time between kills.
With the Vi’Dar and my crew I was basically 1 round killing everything and taking nearly no damage. The Vi’Dar also has a fast impulse speed.

How do you know this: "they used less time than you", when the player who started that conversation (A less something...forget the name now) never gave you the name of the leader...it's not even in the OP's screen caps.

I'm also curious how you know how much time the leader spent on the event (16hrs was all you got, from the original poster, and that was their time played, not the leader's time - how could the OP know how long the leader played for, except to know the leader's score continually rose that entire 16hrs)?

And after reading all the posts...you never once asked any probing questions, and you were quite ... unkind to the OP. You even seem to accuse the OP of just being plain wrong, but offering no empirical evidence as to how they're wrong, nor offered any advice on how they could improve (except to say figure it out by finding them and scanning their ships, which would rob the OP of event time).

Finally, I didn't see the OP flat out claim "cheating" - if I know how to read (I'm publicly educated, so my ability is ... in doubt), the OP asked if it were possible...

cheating has been in the game for 5 years.

any report of illegal behaviour is usually met with: "prove it" ... so unless youre on a pc with 50GB of free space to stream record the person youre accusing (in the case of kill-botting), they go unpunished. scopely will always ignore any proof regardless unless you post it on youtube/twitch/kick/facebook? etc because it can be explained away as someone able to drink coffee 16hrs a day without incuring physical injury (rsi) which is impossible but its scopely, they are always right until you post contrary evidence.

Hey scopely team, had a wave defense where one of the ships got stuck in battle animation. No one could attack the last hostile since it was in battle already with one of the players. Next thing I know our station blows up like it was getting attacked, but no new wave was visible. Ok np with that possibility at all. There is plenty of inequality between accounts these days. But im glad that tie breakers and grinding events are presented regardless of questionable results. Its only correct to offer differing opinions, scopely put the responsibility of proof onto players, so obviously a player comes up with a cause right or wrong. Scopely should just do the investigation and say yes or no. Then its not down to the player to dream up a cause, not down to mods to put forward other causes, etc etc.

To be honest - raiding should be excluded from scoring in incursion. One 60 + player being drained and the whole server loses. It can not be a server side event is so sensitive to one factor. Make it purely about PvP - kills amount / crit generation or other mechanics related to PvP and get rid of any RSS related scoring. Make brackets as well in which you can attack another opponents, to create a realistic battlefield. No OPS 60 + should be able to attack <56 players.

A suggestion for these old Borg events, a server-wide timed event (4 hours) running 6 times. Destroy all the mega cube targets and the cube is removed from the map. That’s it is destroyed until the next window. During any window, the targets will respawn so it requires a lot of simultaneous participation.

Rewards provided to anyone who participated.

Talios pvp event is poorly conceived in my opinion. You Ops lock my Talios then pin me against players of higher ops that don't have the same restraints. Yes, you get points, win or lose but that doesn't make it fun. This is a game, its supposed to be fun. Chance at winning = fun, No chance at winning = chore

Yup, I loooooove fighting a Talios that has millions and millions of power over me, strictly because of the OPs locking of them. Though I have to say, stinging them and then getting the kill is that much more satisfying. But bracketing is not Scopelys forte with any events.

Once again, the talios brackets are done by ops on an ops locked ship. If it’s your intention to force people to ops up, this event is not going to do it for us especially without a spend event running. It’s time to limit the systems brackets to the same max tier for the ship.

This goes for every pvp event that depends on an ops locked ship. I have no piers to fight because the people with ships 2 tiers above already killed them without any damage taken.

What do you think I‘m doing 😌 I have maybe missed a few days of refining, but apart from that I‘ve been pulling the single chest on any given day since the talios launch.
Its just once more bad design by scopay that they create scenarios in which players who have taken the „normal“ speed of upgrading something are left behind so badly that Vemet is the only way to complete such an event in an acceptable amount of time.
Edit: I‘m certainly not going to be bothered to doublepull - the costs are way too high for the time investment I‘d need to make. If the Talios was the only specialty ship - sure. But this game has more chores than a full-time job, so time distribution is essential and the Talios definitely not worth more than a single chest pull in the grand scheme of progressing.
I ecpect a decent event designer to consider such exorbitant power jumps as the talios makes, or offer another possibility to complete the event. The way it is now it‘s just a stupid „Put Vemet on, send ship and wait for it to be killed, rinse and repeat“.

@wet grove doing a single pull of charged nanoprobes is where you are going wrong. Filling up your cargo bay should be easy. I'm currently sitting on nearly 350 million inert probes. Are you using the best crew to hunt borg? Your bridge crew, as well as your below deck officers make a huge difference. I only hunt probes for events or if I need to grind speedups and officer xp. I treat those systems like Ty'Gokor of old.

I‘m aware I could do more for the Talios, but then I would do less for other parts of the game - and the Talios just isnt good enough for that. I only have so much time, and there‘s many other things that are more rewarding than upgrading a ship who‘s benefits I cant use because they all (!) need the same resource as I need to upgrade it (which is a design failure in itself, other specialty ships are doing this way better). With a T7 Talios I can only kill 46 probes because of the warp range, and those dont reward enough to doublepull when I only kill them for events.
So no, I‘m not going wrong when I single-pull - that is deliberate because it‘s the best I can do with a job, a family and dogs who all need time too.
What I do expect of Scopley regardless though is that they design their events with a slight thought for how they designed their own features unless, as I mentioned, it is intended for people to complete events with „Vemet-getting-killed-afk“

Okay, I was going to try with the Xindi SLBs, but the brackets are terrible, again. I'm level 55, taking on up to 59 is challenging but possible. However, it looks like the bracket just goes all the way up to 70. I cannot hope to compete with a 60+ on damage.

I understand this might be to try drive players to push in to being greater spenders but in all honesty, it just makes me less inclined to engage with the game financially.
