What's the point of a courtesy two-minute warning, if the game doesn't notify me out of app?

The game's notifications tend to be very inconsistent. Such as letting me know a ship depleted a mining node, but not telling me that said ship was destroyed thousands of units of cargo ago.

@frank ingot , lol at ops 35 IF I hitv29's (which are easy to kill) I need about 344 to do the event. Even that's most likely 3 trips. Scopely needs to get out of their fantasy world where everyone has tiered ships with ideal crews and research. Reality is that the Vidar is a crystal hog. Getting it to T8 means delaying progress on more important ships (D3 for scrapping to do Primes, Faction Miners Sally/Gladius/D4/Bortas/Intrepid/Augur).

@livid vapor , Vidar is T7. Using PMT. Limited budget player (I buy the Elite Battlepass and IF I have the money the $20 pack that tends to pop up during Apex Outlow events). The reason I neglected the Vidar is that I went Klingon first and dumping resources into it would have seriously hampered Tiering my D3 (far more useful long term due to scrapping at 34) and Bortas (which is an amazing Hostile Hunting Tank).

The last patch corrected a loophole where players could join other alliances and get more helps to reduce the time for buildings and research. This was a short sighted. Some upgrades take 3 months. This does not encourage me to play more or spend more money. I am not going to spend money on speed ups. Some suggestions: scale down the times, increase the number of helps you can get from your alliance, increase the amount of time reduction provided by a help. At 3 months, I get to make 4 upgrades a year!! It is just not realistic.

The augur needs some help. It underperforms compared to the Enterprise in most situations including base cracking and armadas (it even loses in PvP even with the triangle advantage against an equal tier Enterprise, even with good crew setups on both ships), and gets punished with a low warp speed and abysmal impulse speed while really bringing nothing to the table to compensate for having such a low impulse speed (it is anything but a "rapid-response" vessel).

It doesn't make sense to have a battleship that's strictly worse at base cracking and PvP than an explorer. Even though I realize that the game needs to remain balanced with a role for battleships, explorers and interceptors... a battleship is supposed to excel at battle - it's right there in the name - and compared to its peers, the augur does not.

It's been a rough month in game between poor communication (unclear event text, unannounced aspects of events resulting in awkward interactions of players and refinery timers, etc.), subpar events (scaling, proper activation, reward v. effort/time, quality control, poor planning etc.), an injection of corporate greed in new content (huge increase in 2nd research que cost, event store credits being difficult to come by without spending $$, new recruit tokens that can only be acquired by spending $$), and a change to alliance helps that makes completeling multiple long upgrade timers in a year unlikely or more costly for high level players. It makes one feel like not only does Scopely not care, but that they are actively working to make the game more difficult. I personally doubt this as this month has also included positive changes to the higher level economy, responses to some of the more egregious bugs in the game, and a continuing noticeable effort to hear player concerns. However, as outlined above, it's been a rough month with more bad than good.

Players, both paying and free to play, have tolerated a lot of frustration and nonperformance this month and compensation chests are a one time stop-gap. They should not be considered an adequate response for a month of poor performance.

This month has been mediocre with positive changes being drowned out by larger, more prevalent, and frequent quality failures. Scopely will need to make some effort to win back (or keep) players beyond a one time chest. There is a backlog of quality of life changes that would go a long way toward repairing this relationship Photon Tokens, alliance black market, and expanded selection of epic officers for transporter patterns, to name a few.

So, with that said, I want to say thank you to the mods here, and thank you to all who post, identifying these issues. Fingers crossed that one day posts like this will be much more positive than salty. Thank you for reading, LLAP 🖖

I bought a Franklin pack in the store about 18 months ago (when I was working on my first Franklin) I built my 2nd Franklin but can't take it past T7 due to a lack of Warp Drive components. It's not game breaking for me as I have my Franklin A, but a 2nd Franklin with at least a T9 cargo hold would have given me an extra way to farm Swarm events and get Frequency modulators.

This was caused by a faulty event design - you offered players events, they can´t do, because they have no Vidar and no Borg refinery. You do not offer any alternative, nor comment it. Joke on that side is even if you have a maxed vidar, made all events but are in a server that has the first borg run now you have literally almost nothing to start some BORGMADAS.

Inspite of battlepass Premium its not possible to start one single mega cube if the server didn't made the SMS complete... And rare armadas anybody could start what? 3 or so!? Well... That's pretty stupid... You have the ship, you have the crew but no directives and, on top, no way of getting an adequate number of directives by other events!?

Some feedback on obtaining a Stella on lower levels (27):

Theoretically it is possible - practically you need to shoot eclipse freighters which are way too powerful without a Stella.
You need to get 1000 Security codes for 65 Rogue credits - for me, that is 4 times killing my Kumari. Rep costs are way too high.
In total you need 1000 Rogue credits.
In the event shop you can get the Stella only on Level 28.

What am I missing here? Please consider changing mechanics to obtain a Stella. Maybe through Independent Credits.

I need 3million active nanoprobes to promote my borg officers for the shards I already have... That's 312.5 days worth of max active nanoprobe refines with the Prime Borg Refinery researches. I already have 462.5k active nanoprobes, dropping me down to 265 days.

Even if I threw money at the problem, buying all the borg officer packs for $850 would only yield 86,000 active nanoprobes per the pack odds; and buying 6 event currency packs would give me 125,000

so $1,450 to take 22 days off of the 265 days I'm going to have to wait to use the Borg officer shards I already have from spending money in game...

That's not even taking into account that by the time I accumulate all of these active nanoprobes, I'll likely be able to take all of the epics to t5, which would be more than 3 million more active nanoprobes, and almost another year of max refines needed to max out these officers.

Your store is broken. The packs seen to be a lot of bait and switch. I bought discovery summoning, but there's not enough components to actually unlock it. I bought the franklin A thinking it was a great buy with the latinum, and then I had to blow almost all of it because you put such a high build time on it. I'm sick of dropping $100 on something that isn't anywhere near what you promised it should be because of in game hidden costs. Just be honest and say for $100 you'll flip the summoning to on. I now have enough of the first set of shards that I can now wait on possibly getting enough of the second set and unlock this.
But one thing I know is that I will never use them on the purely cosmetic refit because I have no idea if there will be other useful ones in the future that I need them for.
Using the same currency for cosmetic and utility refits was a terrible idea.

General Feedback: if you are going to have an event that is specific to armadas, make the armadas respawn quicker. There are zero rare or epic armadas on my server. Also, increase the rewards to be something useful, refined isogen is a garbage rewards for an alliance, faction credits are garbage for a player, start giving out a decent amount of mats as well, the refinery is such a joke, for the last week I have pulled only 6 uncommon ore, the rest has been common, and for gas it’s not much better. I was able to get 4 rare crystal and about 200 uncommon crystal in the last week. But come on, this is still trash.

Congratulations Scopely. Depress Me is even STUPIDER than last time. Now everyone is fighting over Armadas with a PATHETIC spawn rate. IF you can't alter the spawn rate of Rare and Epic REGULAR Armadas, DON'T run an event that requires them.

With Apex Outlaw, Rare Armadas respawn fairly rapidly (same with Borg and Doomsday). Epic Eclipse Directives drop like water, so players don't mind burning directives for points to do an event. Quite apart from the insane 'impress me' event, it's an utterly boneheaded design to ensure that most people are unable to fully unlock jaylah unless they get extra shards from starter rare swarmada chests.
Most people in my alliance finished up 8 shards short, which means they need 2 lucky chests from rares. No one got 2, some got one.
The armada payout is 'ok' for the starter, either getting 4 shards or 4k rare credits - it's ridiculously bad for every one else in the armada.
Asking 5 people to waste their time and ~1m trit repair costs repeating swarmadas just so that the leader MIGHT get lucky and finish her off isn't going well - it's really depressed our alliance.

Now there are too many players on the merged server competing for the 3* materials mines. I’d like to suggest a bit more control and structure to the territory takeover events as follows:
Only those alliances that click to join the takeover can take part.
Players from other alliances should not be able to block capture nodes if they’re not scoring points and they should not be able to attack ships belonging to an alliance that has joined the takeover.
By implementing these controls it will enable a bit more fair play and stop the movement and rotation of zones becoming stagnant.

1a) There are just a Tonne of shards and blueprints that don't become useful until part of a complete set, and the time between when you start collecting, and are actually able to complete something is SO long. For this reason, I believe we need an trading system within each alliance to ensure there is a near term value to all the bits we are collecting. Also, some of the BPS or shards are strait up irrelevant, or redundant. For example, I have the BPS for a second Franklin, but I don't ever want a second Franklin. I would love to see something like Transporter Patterns here, which would allow me to trade in my obsolete BPS for something I actually can use. Or it could be attached to the Refinery, and I would refine Franklin BPS for the BPS of a more relevant Explorer.

1b) For officers though, I feel like trading is the best way to address the lag time between your first shard, and your first unlock. (in a year or more) I would happily trade a Pike Shard or two to a more advanced player for a handful of shards I can use to level an officer like Kirk, who I use every day. And in a few weeks, I could be making the reverse of that trade to a player who is following me. The reason why I would love to see trading within an alliance is twofold. The first is I believe it improves the game to reward players who cooperate well together, and provides a disadvantage to players who are constantly getting kicked out of alliances because they are unwilling to play well with others. Secondly, our alliance is REALLY good at supporting the developing players, and paying it forward. While I would be willing to trade at a loss to help someone in my alliance unlock the officer they have been working on, I feel less motivated to do so for someone in a competing alliance. 2. 10 times the warp speed. While waiting to get there might be part of real space travel, it is not an enjoyable or necessary component of the game.

3. Better bracketing for Events, and more comprehensive rewards package. When there are only 10 rewards, and perhaps 15 players who have a real shot at competing for them, it leaves over three quarters of the players with out a meaningful way of playing in the event. When the top 50 players receive a reward, there are a lot more players who can play. Still, the rewards are often set up in such a way that only 3-5 players are competing for the really choice rewards. I am not saying there shouldn't be a curve. I am saying the curve could be softened, even when I am lucky enough to be in the top 3.

Here is a perfect example. We are at the beginning end of Limited Time Officer Daily Event RN. I have been saving my Officer XP so that I can get some extra swag when I promote my officers, and I have the Faction Credits to promote a really good officer too! But the 10th place player has already spent more Officer XP then I have, and there are no points for 11th place.

🤣, there are literally thousands of ways to download software besides the App Store but that’s another topic.

Developer charge for software not Apple unless it’s made by Apple. Apple does charge fees to developers to put their software on the App Store which can be anything from 0% to 30% of gross sales depending on the contract.

I agreed the walled garden is annoying but it’s irrational to think Blue Stack is sold by Apple

Really blue stack is used for two things in my experience.

1. Playing at work

2. Cheating and botting.

There was one time someone I knew of (wink, wink) used Blue Stacks on the Simpsons game to cheat and get like a million donuts (their premium currency) for free.

I could see it also being a backup way to access too. Just haven’t seen it used that way personally.

But as an emulator it’s hit or miss, mig hit work. Might not, might work for a while than stop.

Feedback - Not enough low lvl missions or rewards to progress.
Picked up every mission available to me. Progressing nicely. Somewhere around Operations Lvl 12-13 all of the missions end with you having to beat an enemy ship with far far more power than the player can achieve. Currently at Ops 16, have built every ship available. Current battleship has about 13K power but it's taken days of farming and at this rate will take several more days before I get enough Battleship tokens to tier up again because there's no way to get reliable drops. Meanwhile the missions I need to beat have opposing ships with 15K, 16K, +25K power.
I haven't even been playing for 2 weeks and I'm already out of accessible content.

Missions don’t do much after 20, it becomes more centered on events and battlepass than missions.

Which are really just another kind of missions. Missions with deadlines.

Also lat is great for getting ship parts, of course mining lat is hard until you get D’Vor but keep grinning dailies.

@scopely please do everyone that plays game one favor...if nothing else...get a real support team..focus more on actually reading or looking at issue a player sends ticket for, instead of responding with crap that does nothing for what happened that was not at all in any way shape or form the players fault...it was your game that had issue that caused my loss and deduction of points in event for loss of lat stolen by player that was in game while I was booted and was not able to log in.

@hallow pumice it caused stress because when I was booted from game and not able to log back in i got ship attacked messages that means other people are still on game getting points in event as my points get deducted 5 points per lat fragment stolen and of course because it was not my fault I already kinda knew how support would answer so it was very stressful ...unless you ever had issue in game or used support and got the kind of support I have been given then I understand your small outlook on it.

It is a must we mine if not able to refine for building or research we can not progress in game so if you shut that down for them they will negotiate or seek an end to it...so they can progress

On server 38 we had to get savage and ignore everything that almost whole server agree to as roe...because there is what we call "council of Karens" 6 alliances who are basically ran by the major whales on server.

But now there is peace and no major wars and people are working together even visiting other at one time enemy and kos ....now we get along the whole social deal has changed ...they understand once you touch their pocket...no longer is seen as silly game or just pixels if it cost them more than they been willing to pay...you know?

Cease fire shields are great! No doubt about it, but...... they need to be 12 hours minimum.

When the disruption happened yesterday it was getting on in the evening for us Europeans and most of us are wanting to go to bed rather than stay up to get back on and put a shield up and as we know 8 hours isn't always long enough....

This then made me think that if the disruption happens in the day time, there are night workers and shift workers that also need these 12 hour shields.

Please Scopely relook at this. The shields are great as IT issues happen, but this small boost to the length of the shield will make everyone much happier

For the next project, you really should let multiple ships repair in the hanger all at the same time and let us replace them with our other ships with the same crew. So we can repair ships at the same time while still doing our events with our other ships.

We really need more ways to get resources, we need a better refinery that gives resources in thousands at level 30 and up for the 12k and 75k pulls. If it is money that you want, then you should consider being ad supported. There are a lot of people that have their own businesses playing this game. Maybe you can have them advertise their business on the game for monetary revenue. This will help you generate money and increase morale amongst the players.

Away missions should be more like 4/8/16/24 hours not 12/24/48/72 hours. That's ridiculous for the rewards you get which are almost garbage.

Also, it resets every 12 hours. So at reset I started all five 12 and 24 hour missions. They will all finish after the next reset or the following one, so I won't get new missions in those slots until 11 hours and 50 minutes after finishing these. At least make them 10 and 22 hours so they can be done daily like refines.

Just realized how bad the reset times are. Mine are 7am/7pm. If i have some finish overnight and dont collect them by 7 (which im usually not on until after), I wont get a new set til 7pm. Giving 100% thumbs up to the Away Missions update. Obviously a massive amount of effort has been put into this new feature, and it's great. It fits seamlessly into existing parts of the game, and adds a great deal to strategy and resource gathering. It's a fun little progression that should keep going for years, without PtW being able to jump too far ahead. Great stuff

Yeah that away teams refresh mechanic is BS. If you don't collect before the reset, even if it completed before reset, it's locked until the next refresh? Fine for East coast, but totally screws anyone west. Have to get up and collect at like 5-6am or miss out of possible missions for 12 hours? Bad.

Yes it would be better to go to 8 hr reset with mission of 3,6,9,12hr etc lengths. So you can start one and actually be finished before the next one and allow people to get 2 resets a day (assuming they miss one at night) vs having one early morning for most people. Im not setting an alarm to collect my missions before the early morning reset. As it is now, its effectively 1 reset a day for many people. Otherwise, allow new missions to pop up at reset but not allow them to be activated until after your current max amount have been claimed. Lets say you are at 4 max missions and they are all going when reset hits. 4 more will pop up, but until you claim one, you cant start a new one. If you dont use any or all of the new ones before the next reset, the new ones go away and out pops 4 new ones.

One thing I will never understand about this game is why they punish you for going up in faction rep. Just hit Outlaw in Rogue and it's so frustrating. At least with the main factions you gain access to a few new things, but as far as I can tell, the only thing I get for hitting Outlaw is a bigger bill. Personally enjoying the away mission mechanic, though I’d love to see a way to boost smaller officers so I don’t have to choose between putting my best on a ship or a 2-day away mission. Otherwise it’s done fairly well!

However, as a very occasional spender, I am really disappointed the prime materials mining is off of the base rate. I just spent $100 to see an actual increase of barely 25-30%. Either sell it for 50, and give me 50 back, or boost the mechanic to %200 or better!

@oblique relic That’s an interesting thought (I was slightly surprised it didn’t have any sort of synergy), but it doesn’t really resolve the need of using your overpowered officers. It also doesn’t work on the missions with only one officer slot.

I’d rather see the common missions powered towards common officers, uncommons to uncommons, etc., and then put a cap on the multiplier for balance so using your epics on the commons doesn’t make sense.

I wouldn’t mind pulling my rares and epics off ships for the occasional rare or epic mission. As it is, my best officers (and therefore best for the missions) are the ones I use on my ships all the time.

Which means, either my ships are fully crewed properly OR I’m getting good rewards on missions. For a feature advertised as putting inactive officers to use that should NOT be a choice to be made.

And besides, I am FAR more upset at how underpowered the prime I bought is

I stll think having the 'leader' of the away team boosting the officers who are part of the team... reverse, as i said.... would make for an interesting flip-side, but I agree it wouldn't help for the 'single person' away teams.... There are ways to get players to invest in the game without putting blatant pay walls in their path. For example, have a $99 pack that contains only uncommon 3* materials in quantities that we actually need; 15,000. Only that. No latinum, no speedups, just 15,000 3* uncommon refined materials. You have any idea how popular that would be, and how much you would make? Put those up instead of rage-inducing pay walls and pandering to wallet warriors only.

One pack for each type, ore pack w 15,000 3* uncommon refined ore for $99, a gas pack with 15,000 3* uncommon refined gas, etc

Being cheap, money hungry, and desperate only serves to anger your playerbase/ customers. Sell things that make is happy, not miniscule scraps for insulting amounts, and hard pay walls.

Here's my general feedback. I'm no whale, but I spent money each month. I would purchase the monthly elite, the battle pass at either the $20 or $100, depending on how I felt about the game at the time, and probably 2-3 other packs. Those 2-3 other packs? I'm fading on those because they don't do anything for me. They do a partial thing. When I buy a pack, I want it to accomplish something and now if I buy the ultra special top of the line ship upgrade pack, I get about 1/10-1/3 the amount of materials I need to upgrade one component on one ship. So I spend $100, which is a large enough sum of money that even when I'm feeling flush, I want it to get me something, and I get what? A little closer to upgrading one component on one ship? I'm a level 32. I'm pretty small and I'm finding these packs just aren't worth it. So I'm spending less, but also progressing slower as a result, and I'm pretty much winding down. I may buy a prime because that gets me the prime research, but now I'm deciding whether I'm going to continue at all, so putting that off. I think many are like me and would have continued to spend more than intended every month if those packs gave some value. I realize it's my perceived value, but my perceived value says the ultimate ship upgrade pack should allow you to tier up a ship. At the very least, upgrade half the components (like ship bps—any pack should give at least 1/2 the necessary bps). I'm not spending more to purchase and upgrade a pixel ship that I don't get to take home with me and fly around in my backyard than I do for a car that I use every day. I'm not doing it no matter how much money I have. And the rare ticket debacle? If I had not found out regular ticket events were going to be running also (something conveniently buried in the initial rare ticket roll out), I would have deleted my game.

Scopely, the reality of it is, you have wasted your time, energy, and resorces to create events (rare ticket events) that the majority of players can not access today because a) they do not have enough of the "uncommon" tickets to exchange for rare ones, b) they either can not afford to buy or are unwilling to buy the ticket packs, and c) there is no other way to obtain the rare tickets beyond purchasing a pack or trading in uncommon tickets for rare tickets. This effectively defeats your publicly announced purpose these ticketed events and makes your efforts to enhance gameplay ineffective to that end. The 12 hour refresh cycle on Away Teams is rough, especially for people who are usually asleep during one of them. I'd propose either changing it to 8 hours, or have it automatically generate a new mission when you complete one, rather than having to wait for the next refresh.

7,8,9 on vidar can do Armadas.., so can most crews..
No need to always use 1 crew, even pve crews can do Armadas if ship is powerful enough

Survival on Armadas is not required as long as 1 ship does

the worst thing that scopely could do is that you don't get any event points for parking the ships. in my ally, many are extremely upset about it. maybe scopely doesn't know, but there are also people who have to work. When the ships were parked, the events continued without having to be online all the time. Some of us at 130 are not happy after our merger with 144. It made a problem we were having before the merger much worse. In the territory battles there is little or no room for the small or middle size alliance. The big alliance are greatly favoured and just take everything. My alliance has lost all 4 areas that it had with little chance of getting back on the map. You are losing a lot of players who are just giving up because of this. More territory is needed with better incentives to help smaller alliance grow

well thanks scopely for wasting weeks and weeks of resources on nothing but buggy and useless notifications.
please developers, if you cant fix stuff like that, why dont you remove them completely? i mean, some people spend more than enough money (hundreds and hundreds of dollars) for it. and its not even able to post notifications when they occur. (stuff like whatsapp would be dead if notifications were 40 minutes delayed)

i also had an incident quite a while ago, where i did activate a shield, and then i got raided while i was at work, cause the shield disappeared.
people suggested me to report it, but i didnt. cause i didnt screenshot activating the shield. i can't take screenshots every 10 seconds

so you rely on a built in feature of the game, that promises to protect the stuff you probably paid money for ...
and all you get is getting scammed over and over again, and other players take advantage of that. good job.

what really rages me out is that a "you've been attacked" notification comes after already being raided for 40 minutes.

thanks for clearing that up, i think its yet another reason scopley should take a look at a way of coding in the rules to stop things like this. fake threats and bullying occur on this channels people are forced to sign up for. they even have special rooms to post locations on single players not in alliances so they can be harassed and stalked until the quit the game, for no other reason than they dont want to join their discord channels. This really has to effect scopley's player base when you multiply it out over every server. the turn over rate of players must be tremendous.

what happened with the auction sytle events in the last 24 hours ? im lvl 32, in the geordie la forge auction event im up against lvl 35 players, and in teh auction daily officer recruit event earlier, i was up against lvl 49 players. i thought these were supposed to be bracketed now i.e. every 2 levels or so to give players a chance to win them

I just did a baseline stat analysis of ships using the figures in LCARS, all stats are based on T9 (to show growth potential) at OPs 28 with no research bonuses. Naturally, any research bonuses will only amplify the differences:

No I don't think so, other games do it all the time, they just don't have the pack prices of this game, and the players are used to the developer tweaking things to ensure nothing is OP and it's an evolving meta. SuperCell is GREAT at this, with Clash Royale etc

100%. The Cent should have slightly more HHP (but very close), and the Bortas having 5% more than the Sally as the Battleship. Saladin still has that big gun first shot, and it's the cheapest to repair and upgrade of all the level 28 ships anyway

Just like everything else in the game you have to give up one thing to gain another. Considering the rewards aren’t that great anyway, why be too worried about the multiplier? Just hit the 100% and everything else is gravy, it’s the most inactive part of the game.
