I got an app called "BuzzKill" which is perfect for Dopely notifications. You can set your own rules on what gets ignored, i.e. everything gets ignored except some keywords like "attacked" or "shield" (or phrases), which then actually cause an alarm to go off. Works wonders. I haven't seen any of their **** notifications for ages.

Since the latest arc, and after General Manager Connor said that 97% of all Andriod sessions are stable ( ) I find I have to restart the app on my Samsung S22 Ultra at least 2 or 3 times per 30 mins of play, this increases to maybe 3 or 4 times when collecting daily refines, and 100% of the time when collecting daily mission key from the Scopley website for the SMS. Although thankfully these days it doesn't do the strobing freeze effect, well it tried and a blank "adusting" screen takes its place.
I have of course tried all the usual troubleshooting steps, yes I have the latest clients, yes I have cleared localisation and yes I have deleted and restalled the app from scratch. These steps make no difference, your new client is just "that unstable".

the new hostiles are garbage. if you have specific fleet commanders, officers, and tech, you’re probably ok, but if you don’t, you are absolutely not going to get far and really have no hope of engaging in the content short of using cash. and even then, likely not getting too far. the g6 economy is also not good enough to be wasting so many hulls on a daily. punching down should be an option with the cost of more grinding. just like punching up should be rewarded with less grind. see franklin A.

excel is a horrible ship out of the box. granted it is often the case that a ship needs to tier up a bit to be good, but the tier up loop requires success in th dailies and without those specific officers / tech etc, kinda in trouble. at T3, i shouldn’t have the issues i’m having. only saving grace is the refinery. otherwise it truly would be a ship to skip.

the new systems with hostile “overlay”… we should be able to see if we are going to be facing explorers or interceptors since it changes all the time. we should not have to spy with nx01 all the time.

new system warp times are too long given how many trips some ppl have to take.

I bought GS-31 to do wave defense.
Lowest wave defense is lv40
does not drop loop materials
Worse, the level 45 Elite waves that do ship loop materials- are not reliable.
Often get hostiles that one shot my GS-31

This is my second ship that cannot do a loop it was built for. (GS-31, Dauntless)

This makes me very scared of buying any more packs.

This is a G4 ship.
After spending a lot of usd to get it to tier 2, the upgrade costs are... batpoop insane.
Even being lv 50, a single ship part costs 250,000 g4 unc crystal + the unique Dauntless parts.

Contrast this to a peak G4 - Tribune
A ship part can cost 12,000 at tier 2... no research.

<@&509690795536941056> As a g7 player, I would like to say that while I appreciate the gesture of a multi day shield to help those who might be adversely affected by the storm, it’s largely meaningless to g7 players. It’s practically impossible to complete Veil mining Dailies without bumping someone off a node at least once per day, unless you’re willing to spend countless hours just watching nodes. So any g7 player in the storm’s path has to decide between losing the 3 day shield cuz they had to bump someone in order to complete their Veil Daily, burning through a lot of long shields at their own expense, or just forgoing the Veil Dailies altogether until the storm passes. Admittedly not the biggest deal, but still, just another reason why being a g7 is not as fun as it could and should be

If your Alliance Mates are below Ops 61 and you open a rift to a level 61 system, they can't follow the Rift. It has to be to a Level 60 or below system for them to successfully follow the Rift.

This was a lesson hard learned, myself. You can’t rift an alliance mate to a system above their G range. In my experience, ops 39 can’t go to a 40+ system, ops 50 can’t go to a 51+ system, etc. makes the spatial rip kinda pointless.

-As i've tried this new experiment since the new year cutting down on buying anything except for the regular battle pass, with the combination of taking this game far more casual than focusing on what is supposed to be competitive gameplay, general mood has improved dramatically.
-As an ops71 i've realised this game is not at all close to be worthy of spending so much money on since there is also nothing left to do in the galaxy beside the same things over and over, general progress has come to a halt needing to wait on daily drips and events to stock up on needed materials for progress, which in turn opened a lot of free time that can be spend in other ways.

And they believe they are still receiving money from that person so they ignore them. But in reality they’re losing 40-50% of sales because those players bot and get everything for free. While I do not have a problem with alliances being beneficial (very beneficial even), I think it's a problem that you basically can't play without one, or even while your are looking for one. A large amount of content, loops, and progression requires alliance membership.
It is also a problem that server transfers are limited to below a certain ops level, because we don't get to pick our server. Scopely decides who we play with via server merges.
This also causes a bunch of ghost alliances to be created, for the sole purpose of having an alliance, which is not good for players. I don't see how it benefits Scopely either.
Leading a legitimate alliance is not for everyone.
Starting over is 1) ridiculous, and 2) not how the game is designed (the game is designed for permanent continuous progression) and 3) also not really an option, because of server merges, and also because you don't know who will join that server later anyway.
Compounding the issue is allowing alliances to grow so large relative to the active server population, ensuring that players can concentrate in only one or a few large alliances. Not only that, the game rewards large active alliances by allowing them to get more members, which is not ideal.

When people leave them as open, new players join them. Then they get frustrated and leave the game. Or people try to run one (which is not for most players), and they leave the game. Or people think there are lots to choose from in a server, then find out the only active ones are not for them, and leave the game. Or people end up leaving the one they were in, don't quickly find another one they want to join, stop playing the content they were doing, and leave the game. They could close alliances that have no leadership, or reassign leadership, and quit leaving them open. I don't believe the admirals of these ghost alliances are logging on every so often, they're not. Scopely is choosing to not close inactive accounts and alliances with no leadership.

In my case, I strictly follow RoE, I don't feel like I fit in with the major alliances, and I do not really feel like either starting over and hoping for different choices, or running one. I was a commodore at one point, it was time-consuming. Admiral would be worse. Partially because of RoE - I would not only have to run an alliance, but a discord server as well (no other way to report RoE violations).

I also think if Scopely somehow cleared out the ghost ones, it would give people a clearer picture of what is currently there.

I can tell you if I had designed the alliance system here, I would have set membership sizes smaller than they are, or perhaps not allowed them to increase as the alliance grew.

That is the problem. You can't choose your alliance, you have to pick from whatever Scopely allows you to. The server and alliance design does not encourage choice - it encourages lack of choice. Do I know how to fix it? No, but thankfully I don't run Scopely or Digit, so it's not my responsibility.

When I saw the size of compensation, my first thought as well was what a joke. Then I remembered that at OPS 51 2000 emergency packs meant quite a lot to me. So for one, plenty of players rightfully can say the compensation is not adequate at all.
I'm just an ordinary player with almost zero knowledge about technical backgrounds, but to me basic issues are expectations and amounts of data in the game.
Expectations: it's a "real time" game and players do and are made to think everything works within seconds or even split seconds, something that often enough simply cannot work out. On the other side, scopely expects or displays such expectation players gaming time to be at least flexible if not optimal, same time asking for patience if they can't deliver needed technical backgrounds.
Data masses: both the game with increasing numbers of options as well as every single player produce tons of data, good amount of it completely unnecessarily. I think everybody knows for themselves if they look into their inventory, faction shops or refineries.
All this data has to be stored and processed. I think the solution in this aspect is evident. (And no, it's not user's connection having to be improved, scopely!!!)

I have owned the USS Excelsior for almost three weeks now, and I honestly have to ask: where is the actual value of this ship?
During this time, there have been no Excelsior-specific events and no noticeable advantages in gameplay. Research, bonuses, or any kind of usefulness (for example for the Outpost) are not even remotely within reach.

The most frustrating part, however, is the Strongbox system.
While the Strongbox can be collected daily, it is locked behind completing a daily mission first, which feels extremely unfriendly to players.

Even after upgrading the Excelsior, you cannot open the Strongbox again immediately. In STFC, it is usually normal and rewarding for players to receive small extra rewards like ship parts — that sense of progression is completely missing here.

At the moment, this system means:

• You cannot miss a single daily
• You must prepare the ship and fly to the system every day
• Real life or different play rhythms are not taken into account

Why is there no flexibility, such as:

• Receiving a larger amount of parts once per week
• Allowing the Strongbox to be claimed without forcing a daily mission

A similar system with the Vindicator works far more player-friendly.

Please reconsider:

• The lack of meaningful value of the USS Excelsior
• Introducing Excelsior-specific events
• The interaction between daily missions and the Strongbox

In its current state, the USS Excelsior feels more like an obligation than a reward.

Next to lag and bugs, these things are desperately needed to improve engagement:

• “Collect all” option for refinery and faction store. Currently I go online, do those despite major fatigue and dread when faced with it, then I log off because it’s taken so long and I not only have real life to lead, but that alone gives me STFC fatigue and gives me the need to do something relaxing and/or enjoyable. Especially with the prolonged pauses between every screen transition, coupled with silly animations that are slow even with the option turned off in settings.

• Make screen transitions much faster. I cannot be bothered going through events and waiting for every press to go through the “preparing, activating…” black screen crap each time. So I log off.

• make any animations lightning fast like in real games. Time is precious.

Maybe I log on much later to do dailies, but more and more often I don’t even bother now. I doubt I’m alone. I suspect only the seriously addicted and serious money spenders go through the pain for their dose of “fun”.

Because of the decision to make elite outpost directives cost plunder I am barely able to keep up with my refinery pulls, and am not able to save any of the plunder needed to promote the officers

They also didn't factor into the cost that most people are running outposts at the level just below their ops, IE most 70s will be running 66 outposts, you need multiple max ships or a high tier veng to run the 70 outposts

Only the top 5-10% of players are able to run outposts equal to op level

But a bigger issue is the lack of sourcing for Plunder. We were already looking at long timelines for unlocking key features from the Outpost Refinery, essentially an always-on store. With Outpost directives cut in half this month, that also means sourcing for plunder is cut in half.

I'm understanding that the game and players had to adjust to the intended cadence of Outposts. But the Plunder prices should also adjust. A game mechanic with an occasional cadence + an always on store with cooldowns and high prices (that lead to longer, more drawn-out acquisition timelines) is a mismatch

Okay, <@&509690795536941056>s, I'm going to side with some of the folks here, but hopefully take a more methodical and less aggressive approach to feedback.

I appreciate that Outposts were switched to long term, but the changes made to the Outpost BP and the refinery unfortunately don't seem viable. The two launch arcs were great, and you had so many people engaging with the feature that people struggled to find any, and you had to add new systems. Now, they're very quiet systems and the engagement seems to have dropped to almost 0.

Taking a look at the BattlePass, there are three main concerns for me:

• None of the events require engaging with Outposts at all, and instead can be completed by grinding hostiles.
• Compared to the BP from the launch arc, there are things crucial to the loop that are missing - namely medals and plunder.
• There's also very little value to be had from the paid track, aside from maybe the Elite directives. More on that in a little bit...

Sourcing for the Elite Outposts is another issue altogether. As some here have pointed out, the refinery cost takes up a lot of plunder gained from the Outpost you can run. I've attached a screenshot showing the Elite 53 rewards, which works out to a total of 768 plunder if you can finish all the waves.

The cost for a full set of directives is 480 split across four weeks of claiming, meaning you're only left with 288 Plunder from that one Outpost.

That 288 Plunder then doesn't really go a long way - in fact you can then only buy one of the following until you complete another Elite Outpost:

• 2x Heirarch Shards
• 3x Sisko FC Shards
• 5x Premium Mirror Dust

Now, there is the option to buy more directives or pay for the paid track of the BattlePass, but the only option is a £100 pack for 10 lots of directives - which only really puts me off the idea of continuing with Outposts rather than buying them.

It's a shame really, a lot of people really liked Outposts.

Server 84 has became a 'toxic' place. With players creating vile false rumors about others. These vile rumors boarders on insane and criminal.

As Server 84 becomes more 'toxic', Scopely is losing players and revenue.

Server 84 doesn't appear to have many new players.

Many of the players who been player for years are leaving the game due to how 'toxic' Server 84 has became.

I am in a large alliance. 10% of our players are quitting the game each month. And I mean ops 72 VIP lounge players. New content is being added constantly but fundamental bugs in the system are never being addressed.
I am in arena now, and getting matched against the same overpowered squad repeatedly. I think even our VIP members aren't interested in arena as is

Once I have 10 losses I will call it a day. The game probably needs a compelte rewrite to be pared down to 50 resources. A developer wanting to add a 51st resource should remove one from the game. Just as there is no reason ops 72 players should be doing G3-G4 Eclipse armadas just for the badges

If I may provide some Incursion feedback. It was really annoying that I could not score for the Incursion SMS because the G3 SMS only would count wins and losses against other ships available to G3 players, but any time I would go to the listed Open systems, I would get blown up by G4 and G5 players and score 0 points. Either the SMSs should include all ships within the PVP Bands or the PVP Bands should be limited to what will let players actually score in the Incursion events.

I had almost 1 year break from the game. Just got back and first thing I noticed at my 28 ops is that competition is gone. Lack of new players, way less players participate in events at my ops range, during Incursion hardly anyone was involved in my level range, compared to what the game looked like last time I played it starts to be deserted at low ops. Definitely shortage of new players. You add lots of content for high ops, but you neglect low ops and income of fresh gamers.

Suggestion for incursions : maybe start thinking about a loot priority change. As is some people are hoarding mats to protect their Sigma and don't care if they forget shields .

if you want to make more money, should of taken heads out behinds and listened to players a year ago. now it will take huge compensation and 3-4 months of sucking it up, also generous payouts to bring it back to how it used to be.

One thing that always gets said when you do these recap videos is "how great the community is" well your community has spoken. Time to prove we do actually get listened to.

Below actions would help show STFC bosses actually care about something other than money

• Proper comp for the EU lag
• Removal of the pop up ads OR make them a single pop up once a day
• Comp chest for the interruptions they have been causing to normal game play

A guy on my server deleted his account as a G5, maybe low G6. A few months later, he reappeared with a baby account. Then after a year or so, he requested his account be archived as a G6, maybe low G7. He has since unarchived and is in a solo alliance. May you be better at your goal than that guy. 🤣

Oh they changed it up? I got the honor demands my return style notification every day until I completely blocked all their notifications. If you spam me daily, you get blocked. So now it's in the game, if that keeps going the game won't last very long here.
