Just wanted to say how disappointed I am in this arc. The new hostiles are way too hard even at lvl 59 and a 1B power ship. It will take 15 trips to get the SMS done, and I don’t have that kind of time. I’ve tried all the suggested crews and it is still not enough. This will be the first arc ever I can’t get events done. So, thank you. Looks like I’ll be playing less if I can’t get anything done.

If everyone wants people to level up. how about decreasing the grind as you go up. this new arc is bad, anytime swarms are used the higher G5 and 6 guys have to spend a long time grinding. eclipse the same way. faction hunt ect. it should be equal or faster grind as you go up. especially with how much extra is added. Just saying how defeated and disappointed in this game I have become to feel. From the issues of collecting on the Field Training from the beginning to this new ARC events that are totally non achievable, to limits of having certain ships at certain levels to tier another ship, to the useless effect of an exocomp, to the apparent nonadvancement of features / abilities from leveling up research. I am at this game daily, for hours at a time, nothing I do makes any appreciable amount of difference. I have even spent some money to help out. At this time, I feel done, today may be the day I finally throw in the towel on this financial money pit as that seems to be the only way to get ahead, and it takes a ton of cash too.

This new exile grind is horrific, it's all the worst parts of eclipse and swarm bundled together, sure the store is nice, but it's also painful to do.

I get it, you've created a problem so you can sell us a "solution" in the form of a new ship soon... You gotta pay for those new yachts somehow... But it's just going to make people despise the game.

Ops 60+ players who are big spenders also hate it...

The Comp (cop out) chest with the points to finish the Complete New Missions meta is a Joke. How about addressing the underlying issues.

1. The Amount of Splicers dropped vs the amount needed to refine.

2. Difficulty of the AE Hostiles being poorly matched to player ops level

3. The Rep grind needed just to be able to summon a Khan Champion.

4. The Go Home Gun mechanic. IF the intention was to force players to grind Splicers then NOT having the Go Home Gun but making the D7's a difficult but doable grind would allow players to passively farm them while doing other things.

If you clear localization and click where the Winner button is before the game catches up you can get to the events section and bypass the Winner button. You can't claim what's in the queue, but you can at least get to the events section. I discovered this by accident

For those with iOS that are stuck because of the "Winner" button issue: You can bypass the button if you Clear your Localization and click where the Winner button is before it syncs with the server, granting you access to your Events Tab. Once the server catches up you will be locked out again, but this way you can actually see your events and join your faction ones. Huge fan of sending 2 ships to the system but the 1st bugs out to 0 and when you restart it never actually left the dock... If the idea was to make us regret ever installing the game in the first place, you're succeeding. It was alway's a devil's bargain where we knew you were re-monetizing nostalgic IP you had the rights to. Even then, you blatantly punished anyone who tried to play for free. It wasn't just a grind, it was a humiliation. For pay to play players, it's even worse. One might rationalize a single over-priced pack of meta-meta-meta currencies for 99.99... but it's never sufficient to actually achieve a goal... because there's always meta-meta-meta-meta currencies you still need and would have to grind for a month for.

To actually unlock a fictional representation of a ship costs an actual real-world car payment. The psychological manipulations you use to keep people addicted are blatant, cruel, and would make a Ferengi blush.

It‘s less the one awful grind, but instead of keeping it steady or reducing it (aka play smart, and not too many hours), they add more to it. We now have Xindi, MU grind for FKR events, usual fkr grind during events (crucible and so on), the irregular grinds (Silents and more), and they add this heavy lift on top of it. I‘m fine with some effort required, but totally not ok with having to spend most of my free time on a game to advance reasonably.

Game should be mainly part of the daily fun, and less a „year in hell“

There's something fundamentally evil about using Star Trek intellectual property for what amounts to gambling addictions and romance scams. This game needs an overhual.

1. The graphical interface, especially on the main screen, is disorganized and ugly. Why not go with an LCARs themed system?

2. The map is a disorganized mess, with no real logic. It's a house where a madman has added 100 rooms haphazardly. Systems far away take 40 seconds to get to, while systems just as far away take 7 minutes to warp to. The color scheme is random, with some types of systems getting color areas, some not, some star systems getting highlighted with cloud effects, some not. Disorganized, random, and confusing.

3. The inventory system is a mess. And Scopely refuses to take steps to fix it, even tho the players have been begging for a fix for 5 years. It's also ugly, disorganized, and there's no way to trade up, delete, or archive useless inventory. Add that to the fact that with 5 or 600 currencies, it's impossible to understand what item is used for what function. This is an EASY software improvement, and Scopely arrogantly ignores our requests on this. Why?

4. Lastly, Scopely doesn't get the main point of excellent PVP play: competitive PVP is FUN. PVP where the outcome is a foregone conclusion is a loser for both players. For the winner, it's boring. For the loser, it's frustrating and humiliating. Do better.

The augment faction store lists several levels of Khan's Champions - I assume thats what Part 3 is - but we have to be a superior rep level to unlock them and i cant be bothered to grind my day away and keep repairing my ships, using speedups and lat. What a great Idea: Put all OPS Players in one system to do a grind. As a OPS 60-70 Player you have a lot of Loot Goblins there. Just hit the 40-50 OPS Players. Let them grind for you 😂

With max loot crew and pilum (for g4 players) it only takes 56 hostiles to get 4 million loot killing the lvl 40’s (even without pilum max loot crew is about 74 ish hostiles)

Might take you 3-4 trips depending on cargo size but it’s actually very easy

Lvl 40 hostiles, with max loot no g4 rare and no chaos tech or forbidden tech. Using this crew you get about 57K loot per kill. (Based on your officers tier)

With g4 rare and CT/FT noted above your looking at 70-80K loot per kill depending on your g4 rare tier

You have no g4 ships? Hmm assuming g3 epic is your best ship I think the 40’s should still be easy but very low max cargo so might take a few trips

A G4 rare ship will make your life easier. Even a G4 Common ship has a better DPR compared with the NSEA. You can get some blueprints by hitting enemies in Sol/Kronos/Romulus, in the new & old away team shop and of course in the fraction store. You won't regret to spend your fraction credits on a rare ship. Those have a built in Loot ability

The Apple app store approves updates before they get published for security purposes. Usually it's automated but if it gets flagged it'll need someone to manually check it.

Meanwhile other app stores are a lot less strict, you can tell by looking at all the junk on the play store vs App store 😆

I still have the issue that iphone heats up after few Minutes, the game starts lagging and finally crashes. Cleaning localization, reinstalling STFC does not fix the issue.
Only temporary solution is force quit the game so the phone can cool down.

A serious idea, but give it a chance. How many issues there have been recently between DTI, insane requirements for the arc, promises of 'less farming' then introducing super heavy farming arcs (quality vs quantity v2 vibes) I feel like a lot of the community feels like Scopely is acting in bad faith. As a way to show that money isn't the only goal, how about instead of 'yet another not that meaningful comp chest' this time you give players a token that can be redeemed for a $100 pack. Let's be fully honest, the vast majority of those packs are nowhere near worth the money, and you wouldn't actually lose that much compared to the amount of people that are inevitably going to stop playing due to the cascade of issues. Take a solid moment to read through the comments here, dumpater fire they may be, and look at the general sentiment to how people view Scopely as a company. And ask yourself, of that negative reputation worth it? Look at every time you've done a sponsored video for.a game channel and read the replies to the creators comment with a link to the game. Ask yourself, in the grand scheme would a single free $100 pack to the playerbase kill your game? Or maybe would it help earn back the trust of your players while you try and fix whatever the hell this is becoming?

Saw the announcement but the situation is even worse than it was before, with double charging occurring almost constantly, short list of issues:

-The “Factions” section of the daily pulls has taken more than 45 minutes and I’ve been unable to complete pulls due to “double charging” issues.
-Minimum lag per chest is 10 seconds for a successful pull.
-Maximum recorded lag is 70 seconds for a failed pull before it timed out.
-Failed pulls are charging, requiring a second payment. On the Ex-Borg section alone I saw double charges on almost every selection, and on daily or weekly limited pulls like the Vindicator this is a critical issues for growing players.
-Failures appear to occur most often on Menu items with a section selection (Aka selection option then choose how much to spend). Nearly every attempt failed / timed out.
-Once you crash, which you will, you can’t log back in….

Personally I’m going to need to place tickets for double charging on the ExBorg and Vindicator due to either extreme cost or weekly limits on resources but whatever “fix” was made needs to be rolled back.

I didn't notice double charging till I hit an item I only had enough of to buy once.
So I have no idea how much I lost, I got probably 10 of the server communication errors on different things, just hit the button again, as I was doing other stuff IRL while collecting my boxes.

You guys really need to learn how to use NUnit and Unity Test Framework. You also need to learn how to use something like GitHub Actions and Azure DevOps testing framework to implement a standard core test suite, a regression test suite, a build test suite, and a deployment simulation network. Because what you’re doing now shows us you have almost no testing whatsoever which is why you keep releasing junk code. Either that or you aren’t maintaining your test suite(s), and are almost certainly not using them to drive your developmental processes.

You might try doing a staggered testing approach. At the minimum the standard core suite (which you actually have to maintain and grow) and the regression test suite need to be run on every commit to the repository whether you make an actual release or not. At least two weeks before a planned release, you need to run the build test suite to test that it will actually build and for each platform. And that almost always should be coupled with multiple network deployment scenarios, testing both infrastructure, and logicals.

QA should be able to run manual build tests, and view all commit test results logs per commit. Actually monitor those things. You know like put human eyes on it. Prioritize some stuff. You know like actually do your jobs.

Do an atomic rollback on the images for the deployments to the commit point this last update push is at. Reload the servers, do it as a phased rollout. Whatever your per server deployment rate is plus 30 for verification. Lock the game and roll out 1/4 to 1/2 of each server pool with that rollback like APAC US EU pools. Do in wave sets until all are rolled back to that commit. Can even do a binary push of a diff if you don’t want to spend the time to roll out the whole image from scratch per server. Sheesh! Just.. do something approximating skillful management of the situation! Heck, I don’t even care if you rsync the whole lot of ‘em! Just do some intelligent analysis and critical thinking. The road you’re on is killing your cash flow.

Write the test for what it is that you want to have happen. Break that down into mechanical steps in the testing suite’s language. Run it in isolation standalone against the code base. Make everything pass by fixing the problem. Add the resulting test file to your test suite. Will be applied automatically if you make it so every commit runs against the test suite. If you do have a network deployment lab set up, and you’re actually using it, then how did this code get out here into the wild? How was it not seen before it was deployed that it would break like this, or that it had the potential to, break like this? This absolutely should have been caught in-house before it ever got to the players.

At multiple levels, if even half of what I’ve suggested to you was implemented or is implemented correctly and maintained, all of this would’ve been caught before it ever went out the door. And that failure, right there, is the basis for why you should give one hell of a compensation chest to players. Own it because it’s yours.

I've been trying to do my daily claims all day long. They still aren't done. It's an impossible task.
