Thanks to the bugs and the unnecessary attack on me (after the territory capture when he killed other players, a normal person won't kill a UPC miner that mines for about 10 seconds) I'm done with the game for today. I'm not going to restart the game a million times and click on errors a million times, I'd rather do nothing. I'll put on a shield for 3 days or a week and then maybe I'll come back. I'll have to check that again, I've already experienced losing a shield that I knew I had activated. Hopefully it'll be better in a week. I didn't even watch that unnecessary video with the roadmap, about 10 minutes, a few minutes of skipping and I didn't learn anything that I didn't already know. I'll wait for the changelogs. I won't read the reactions to this post.

Yup, logged into PC and going through menus takes a while to do for daily collection, not sure about battles or moving through the galaxy etc. On the iPad though seems to be running normally.

And the Independent Archives are great, but they** do not award the Transporter Patterns** for the maxed officers

Officer sourcing is hard enough, especially as new officers are being added monthly. How are we supposed to unlock and upgrade our officers when so many are not sourced and we don’t even have a reliable source of recruiting tokens to collect the officers that are available?

I hope this can be fixed soon bc it’s making the game so disheartening.

Making STFC unavailable to MacOS users means that Mac users with visual impairments may have difficulty playing or have to give up STFC altogether. Additionally, there is no way to chat and play at the same - it’s very difficult for me to see and use the chat in iOS. The 24 hour desktop bonus is altogether inaccessible to Mac users, which is unfair. This is a decision that I hope you will walk back. Implementing it without warning during the holidays during so many special events is inconsiderate. I don’t like to criticize as I really enjoy the game and have made friends in my alliance but it’s harder for me to play now as I can’t see well on smaller screens and buying a new computer just to play your game is not possible for me. 😦

Hardly. Across the entire event, only the unluckiest will not get both. You get two shots at them per chest. Chests cost 240, so you get almost 63 chests without even buying the elite pass, This is 126 pulls w/ a 3% chance at the avatar and 5% at the frame (assuming these % aren't understated, which may be the case). The overwhelming majority of players who complete all the events will have both multiple times over before the event ends if they choose to pull nothing else. Those who just aim for the projectile will have both at least one by the time they get. Will there be a few unlucky folks who don't get both? Sure. Will they be a very small number? yes. I mean, you can complain before you go for it all you want, or you can do all the events and just go ahead and get them. Maybe even drop $10 for a few more pulls if you get real unlucky.

you can only throw 40 pulls at the cosmetics item, and since it's not got guaranteed lat unlike the others, and also doesn't have RSS/mats, doing that many is extremely questionable.
if you do all 40 anyway, there's a 30% chance you won't have gotten an avatar and a 13% chance you won't have gotten the frame (and a 4% chance you get neither)

40 chests = 80 rolls. Across 80 rolls, 3% should result in nearly 3 "hits" and 5% will result in 4. Now I'll grant that there's additional math since I've done both of those in isolation, but it's def not 30% & 13% chances to miss. There will absolutely be some who won't even get one, but the folks who can't complete the set will be very few. It's only "pretty bad" in the sense that's it's RNG at all. But otherwise, the odds are very good.

The limit of 40 there i think is more around the projectile shards, to make you buy the bottom track if you want to unlock it

There are only two EU servers that are still blocked for OPS 40. since the other is too small... you have to play against a released server or do without the incursion. 🤷🏻‍♂️. You play against the weakest server that is no longer blocked. In the end, the incursion wins the one who finds a sleeping 🐳 without a shield. The rest of the fights are for entertainment only. You even have a good chance of winning. With OPS 50 there is more to loot 😆

So far the biggest issue the New Year Celebration event has is that it does not clearly display in game that the goals from Day 1 can be done over next 5/7 days. Players who are not watching content creators, this discord or do not play any other mobile games where similar mechanics may be used would not know that and would assume that similar to other events we had so far in game, all must be done on day 1. Players who do know it can be done over next 5 days like me are getting slighly annoyed having to type out for the tenth time how this works in AC when people complain about too much grind in one day as the game description is not clear.
Otherwise the event is very nice and works quite well 🙂 I am enjoying it.

Idk if it's been brought up before but, I just bought the G4 Innovative Engineering favor in the Terran faction. It's supposed to reduce the cost of G4 ship blueprints by 50%. Normally, a Tribune BP is 1600 Rom credits, but after I bought the favor, the cost is now 1066. Now I'm not a math expert, but 1066 is a 33.375% reduction, not a 50% reduction.

Problem…. The tasks that come up every day are very time consuming so far. Are we going to have time to backfill armadas? They are very time consuming, and that’s a lot of backfill. Probably take all week to do those as it is, and that’s without new tasks coming up. Now, we lose a whole day in the effort due to incursions. When do we backfill armadas? Armadas are massively time consuming in any case. Even having all week without incursions would have been a tough row to plow.

The issue is people not engaged enough to pay attention - and understandably so after so many events making bases fatter and then holidays. Honestly get where you’re coming from with the barrier, but this incursions terrified me cos the number of G3 vs G4 incursions I’ve seen go the G3 server’s way because of the quantity of stuff the G4 players have it is literally one casual player and you get an unrecoverable lead.

The number of players who had the RSS and mats but not the ships for ascension, we’ve lost so many that it’s likely that we’ll see a merge, and that’ll be horrible for everyone. Cherish those you have and the time they prepare, and this once a month event at best isn’t a great excuse to ascend.

Re: Incursions - Please consider a new type of shield that will go up at the start. Anyone who leaves base in a L20+, shield drops until they move to L19. Anyone who attacks, sheild drops. Basically, anyone who doesn't want to be a part of or isn't aware of the incursion shouldn't be a way for the opposition to just gain unlimited points. It really makes the incursion completely pointless if a few bases are accidentally sitting ducks and players protecting them have to sleep.

Also, an option to allow people in the same alliance to shield other players bases would be highly valuable!

Hey there,

I would just like to say that with all the events surrounding the new SS Revenant this whole past month has felt like a real explicit phrase from the events planning team.
The Icing on the cake being the NYE event need all milestones completed including the 25 new armadas with no overflow for f2p players.
I understand that the release of a new loop and ship deserves its own events. But the fact its REQUIRED to complete even seasonal events is a real insult.
Tis the season of giving but I guess the team felt that its the season of giving up your wallet or you get coal in your stocking.

The main attraction of completing events is the sense of achievement, reward and challenge. I would go as far to say its the foundation of the game. However over the course of this month it is very clear that the path is becoming Pay or Fail. It would be really nice to see the game pull in a more player friendly direction but this cry has been made before and will be made again to no avail.

Thanks for reading this vent. Sorry its so negative, just don't like being punished for not having enough disposable income to qualify for completing this NYE event.

This is by far the biggest insult to your player base in a long time. You make an event, that requires everyone to login for 5 days daily and finish a lot of different tasks. And already on the second day you’re hiding the results for everyone, that didn’t want to pay a hundred dollars for your cash hungry mouths.

The whip has been complete useless for months now. Not a single drop of upgrade mats or bells, always just rare shards (have over 2000 of them completely useless) or epic shards (not completely useless as I'm still working on the last one but will never tier them anyway)

You are absolutely correct in what you say. However that's ignoring the psychological point. People who put in some effort to complete a 5 day event only to be a few points short because of something they cannot complete will always make them annoyed. Yes the rewards were generous, f2p players got loads more than normal, but people still feel hard done by seeing that incomplete event. If scopely had thought of that and not had the poly event, most people would be patting them on the back saying nice rewards scopely. I think they dropped a clanger by doing it.

This event gives me the feeling that it is a beta. Its intention is to put the same policy to the normal events. It does not put the numbers well, or not put them at all, and then alternate them on the fly. If we get it quickly, the events will add zeros to lengthen it. And make it more difficult to get them without us realizing it.

In hindsight. I fully reget not buying it. It was a huge advantage [ mainly in FT ]. In reality, I will never pay $50 for a 14 month old feature. It takes about a year from the whip to get the FT that are available in the tourney store now. But people that bought the whip dont need to worry about that. they can buy what they want, like prime particles etc. Just another component of the game they dont discuss. They may say for example, the vindicator is F2P in 100 days. What they dont say is, how expensive it is and what officers and favors you are missing out on in order to acquire it. Just another bonus for major spenders that nobody talks about. My current cost for that ship is 48k, about say 40 Kira shards or lord only knows how many favors.

@raw fiber Hey Pauly. Can you tell me if the Rare FKR Mirror research is wrong or not? It appears to need the UC Station Sigma research to lvl 8 if I want to lvl it past 6, but it is not linked to that research in the lines.

Everything seems to be able to go to lvl 8 and THEN need Ops 61 to go further, EXCEPT this one rare research that needs the Station Sigma research that you cannot start until Ops 61 anyways.

I think it is supposed to be linked to the UC Station research that it shows it linked to in the graphic of the research tree.

2. the math was incorrect and the attack on me was completely unwarranted. He was obviously just trolling and I shouldn’t have engaged further, that was the error on my part.
3. I was never really angry, events that are uncompletable without a $100-$300 investment are a weekly occurrence with Scopely. The disappointment comes with not knowing that until the very end of the event since most such events have it apparent at the very beginning.

To be final, I don’t have a problem and consider the matter over. It’s a feedback channel and feedback was provided. It’s produced change before so it’s not futile.
Everyone doesn’t often agree and that’s fine, trolls can be blocked.

I am not a high spender but through the last runs and some purchases i now got pretty much everything i want there (or its on cooldown like Tarkas Isolytic FT and Omega Particle). So maybe some Artifact and Officer shards now.
F2P or 20€ per month players need pretty much everything there.

The twist is I get more Currency then i can spend because of limits and my ability to do 10k tasks easily F2P while the F2P/Low Spend in my alliance struggle to get a prime, FT or such unlocked because 90% of their currency comes from the placement at the end of the tournament.

Please Put KirShara back in, give us more options in the store or increase the limits (like on Shaxs, Billups and Ransom) and give F2P more currency in their tasks so they can actually use the store

Additionally how players who have not done either Polygon task, still have completed the final milestone with an overflow of points, as scopely auto completed it with the random points comp. But this didn't do it for everyone

Comp chest was only meant to auto complete the shield task; the exborg rep and bajor task; but for some it auto completed and gave extra 😒 defo not one of the lucky ones

There were two comp chests, one finished the rep and shield, the other added 100 points to cover the discrepancy of points not counting when finished. Those that ops up a grade during the tasks also got additional tasks that made things easier on them.

Another wonderful were aware notification from scoleply on alliance tournaments. I dont know about yall but im tired of the constant excuses if thats what even wanna call it. That said I find it funny they make tournaments a $$$ to play only event. Then when no one buys the pay to play stuff and refresh till a small grind comes up. Which means scopley ain't making enough so suddenly it don't work. My view is I'm never going to spend again not even on the battle passes. Cause as far as I'm concerned they owe me 4 phones. I'm so upset they ended badly go events a day early. I was very close to completing like a bunch of final goals to get to the final reward level. Now all my grinding n hard work is gone. on top of that I missed spending got the holiday event store before it was gone as I did not realize it ended at reset on the 1st. It the G6 players were unable to 1 shot G4 bases and take everything they have then G4 bases would have more res for low levels to be able to raid.

G6 players (level 70) with 40+ Billion power ships can hit my level range, it does not make sense to have such an imbalance in the game anymore as there are alot of high level players now that can target each other

I get that the power range is wide. Believe me I’ve been hit by plenty of people ops above me. But when I see people asking about reducing the ops range, I ask 1 simple question. Have you ever hit someone ops below you? If you are hitting people 5-10 ops below and blowing them up kinda hypocritical to complain when someone above you punches down. Especially if it’s after you hit their alliance mate or whatever

As a note to your reply. High level players rarely raid a base with anything less than multi trillion rss. We will crack bases for people but we hardly raid low ops players. I won’t raid a base unless it has 100T or more in it. I’m sure @reef siren is similar unless he loves raiding. We can’t even raid sigma until we drain all original rss. So it’s even less appealing to raid anyone

Find it very hard to believe that you’ve never once hit anyone lower ops than you. Station, ship, miner etc. but again. Changing the ops range does very little to benefit and has more negative effects to all players overall. If you shield enough you won’t have to be worried about being hit by an ops 60+ and again raiding is such an outdated mechanic that’s it’s hardly worth it unless you find the one gem every once in a While. But even someone the same ops as you can smoke you purely having better crews, research etc. so I don’t see why someone of higher ops hitting you is more offensive. You should worry about lower ops smoking you. It’s much more embarrassing

Your server don't have high levels flying around even Deep Space sector by sector with pvp / speed crews on looking for anyone flying and kill them?
the best thing they added to the game was the armada speed up but even that is hit and miss with it speeding to 30 seconds, you have 20 seconds of unprotected time praying no1 arrives before it hits the final 10 seconds

The only time I go in to even the 1st island system anymore is if an alliance mate tags someone who they can’t beat and even then I got 10 other people lower ops then me (64) that jump at the chance to hit them. But our G6 players do not just fly around scanning systems and hitting people. There’s other stuff we grind for. I hit armadas against the alliances that are at war with us and such anytime I see them. But I’m not waisting my time in Sol or Kronos hitting people grinding traders. I’ll let my lower ops handle that. Again the grind it takes for events and rep and such require g6 to be in the 2nd island system

And there is one alliance that just hits everyone and everything for fun
And i don't think it will ever end cos they have grown to like the constant rush of trying to farm or do something before the opposing side finds them

i cant say much because our alliance on my server plays by scopely rules. if the button is green and you can hit it then fair game. no safe spaces, no upc protection or mada protection lol. but we make sure no one in our alliance is being toxic or rude in chats or PMs. we take that stuff seriously. we want people to play the game how it was intended and we tried ROE but all it ever did was try to add more and more protection for formers and we got done with it. but even with that id say a good 80% of the server is untouched most the time, we have a few alliances that are the main focus

Yes people in my alliance are saying they clicked the chest but that the credits for the alliance tourny did not show in their inventory. Not sure this is "Feedback" but Terran credits are acquired in the Terran Faction store or probably money. With the closing of the arena, Scopely has been giving us a paltry "compensation" gift that isn't enough to do the full pulls every day like we could do if they put out a proper product and properly tested it first. Just another way for Scopely to slow down progress for those not paying.

Loads of players on my server have quit since the Xmas & New Years events started. When are Scopely going to realise that the game is no longer fun and has become one big chore. <@&509690795536941056> I want to share this observation and hope that @tidal notch and the rest of the team will pass this to the Developers the introduction of the Archives is great, but there is a small defect with the Botany Bay Archive and cleaning up the Augment Faction Store. Wha is the problem??? Well we get 8K in Augment Credits, and what do many of us do in the past well we bought Independent Credits. Now granted we are getting 100 Independent Credits with the daily pull, but what are we to do with the Augment credits if we cannot use them elsewhere?

I think the Augment Faction need to at least have the Independent credits reinstated for those of us that completed our Botany Bay.

As one who has been playing this stfc since it launched. I am finding it harder and harder every year to stay interested and invested in the game. Yes you release new content that helps in that, but unfortunately with the games glitches, bugs and overall extremely bad performances accross the board . That makes it were it just doesn’t matter what new content releases there are when the games gameplay and overall performance is so extremely bad where none of the tabs are working right. All short cuts to getting somewhere like armadas are back to systems that you where in just don’t work. As a player that’s been here since the beginning it’s hard to look forward to new content with enthusiasm instead of dread knowing that it’s more likely going to bring far more problems with it then any so called fixes . I say so called fixes because none of the fix actually fix anything for more then a few hours to a couple days. Heck I’m still dealing with an original glitch from awayteams release that’s been going on since it came out. Telling me to build a building that I not had built for ages but upgraded fully for my ops lvl . Reporting that issue did nothing.

Alliance tournament is not bad, but sometimes I have bad choices. For example, yesterday there were a lot of tasks but I could only complete what was worth 1500 points. It could only offer what I can do, offering 6* armies for 49 seems like a bad joke to me. It wouldn't be bad to have the option to change the task when I have chosen it and I don't have a chance to finish it.

MU rep is just a catchup (or get-ahead), not a req. If you do all faction dailies each day, your rep will more or less keep up with your Ops, unless you push real quick (or you took the painful route and work all 3 factions)

No they didn't say there weren't going to fix it. They said they could not address it immediately.
Yeah I know reading is hard..
But the reality is that the actual deadline was before event ended so the rewards could be sent correctly.
If they didn't do that, then compensating fairly would have been near impossible. Global compensation (same for everyone) would have lead the undeserving getting even bigger rewards than they deserved while the deserving wouldn't even get that which they were owed.
And a custom compensation for everyone would have been harder than to just fix the leaderboards and give the correct rewards as they should.

The “corrected” scores are still incorrect, because we had the old scores all weekend, were not told they were going to change, and our playing habits were based on those scores. So all they really did was switch one set of incorrect scores with a different set of incorrect scores at the last minute. Definitely one of the worst solutions they could come up with.

@molten dew There are too many variables to say what the discrepancy would be, because it was left changed for over half of the tournament, but I can’t imagine the leaderboards would look anything like they do now, due to playing habit differences based on people feeling comfortable with high leads, people feeling hopeless, etc., caused by the score changes.

What I would have done (setting aside the option of handling it better by announcing a change would happen days ago and turning off the leaderboard until then), would have been to not run the score adjustment script less than an hour before it ends, and then promote the teams that got promoted now, after the fact, and let demotions sort themselves out next time. And give everyone a comp. Still not a perfect solution, but certainly a much better one than we got.

Specifically, there's no occurence of "42" in the patch notes, and the mention of player levels are the section I've screen-shotted.

No additions to the independent archive? What about the faster redemption animations to make claiming things smoother? it was mentioned that it would run for 2 days after it ended so i believe it ends at event reset tomorrow if my memory is right but that aside most comp chests arive in time when a store (event store and stuff) is ending but we as players would have to be active when they release it to exchange it
