Do you all think we are rocket engineers on +£90k salaries a year to be able to afford the amount of content yous are pumping into the game.

This is now getting out of hand. Now to the point we have to drop one old grind to begin a new one and by the time a next new grind has been added we have not done 50% or less of the previous one.
So what is our choice, give up more free personal time, spend more or drop a old grind to start a new one.

This is not quality or quantity. So please stop telling us rubbish now.

1. There is plenty of bugs that should be addressed.

2. Stop adding to many primes

3. No enough time for players to do atleast 50-75% of the previous content.

Everyone thought Call of Duty has killed their game with making it a cash cow but scooply have now taken the number one spot by a long mile.

Advise, go back to basics and actual give the players a game that is enjoyable and still make a profit without kicking the 💩 out of it.

It often happens: I write few words because the meaning is in the words. Every game and STFC has three components: PvP, PvE (hostiles and mining for STFC) and management. Everytime Scopely has tried to add a PvP event community has complained because PvP is not balanced. PvP is not balanced because "feedbacks" don't want PvP contents so Scopely must add PvE contents and researches to increase many values such as ship power. These researches affect PvE (to decrease loops' time) but also PvP because they increase ship's values and because of this increase the PvP is not balanced and can never be balanced.

It's too late to balance PvP and STFC is not a 3D game so players can not use their skills to defeat a "whale" who doesn't know how to set and lead his ship (a player can use some skills such as Discovery and Mantis abilities but not his skill in maneuvering the ship and managing the weapons).

I have read in this month there are not PvP events, only a PvE event after another PvE event (I hope I am wrong: send me a PM if someone has found a PvP event for 39- and 40+): I have my wrong answer about this and this is wrong because I am a player, I am not Scopely.

I must say thanks to Scopely because he/she allows me to play for free...and now I can play not playing because there are not contents for me this month and I am happy...like the meme with the cat...happy, happy happy, nananananana, happy, happy, happy, happy happy...

Ist that true that the whole arc is about players 40+? I can't get into event areas as lvl39, I don't get missions, I can only buy Resources or Materials or syndicate XP at the Event store.
I get a battle Pass event and the weekly stuff. Is this how to motivate players? There is no sense in buying anything because I can't to anything. Apart from bringing another franchise into Star trek it is a very boring arc for me as a lvl39 player. And I don't get the Chance to accumulate the green materials I need for the next level. I think the extremely limited starts is bothering people when they may not understand which abilities do/do not affect the Chimera. Some abilities aren’t exactly clear which can lead to some oopsies.

the abilities on the chimeras are wrong. an alliance mate did one that said it started at 0% iso cascade damage increasing by 10% per round and it started at 100% and went up 100% per round

I have grinned and bared some bad arcs over the 4 years I have been playing this game but this one is next level terrible - in fact, by far the worst one ever.

Firstly, I cannot get my head around how anyone in their right mind even considered abandoning Star Trek based content in a game called Star Trek Fleet Command… let alone an entire development team thinking it was a good idea and supporting it.

Secondly, the amount of utter rubbish that has been thrown at the community this arc in terms of lengthy grinds, an endless list of new currencies to earn chop and change, poor rewards and literally no proper guidance or direction on any of it… this game has genuinely reached a new low.

The jewel of any arc is meant to be a new ship - it’s terrible, it does nothing better than anything else and the trellium mining function either doesn’t work as intended or it was completely pointless in the first place. My meridian with a PvP crew mines it faster and the warp range means it cannot reach high enough systems to be any more useful than anything stronger I have… the only reason to get it is to access a few new research nodes.

Honestly, this arc doesn’t look good for the future of this game - the cash grab is always there but this is a new level of greed…

Because there is zero actual inter-team communication and no centralized knowledge base, QA czar, or compatibility team.

We know from eco’s time that many times arcs, even multiple parts of arcs, were being made at the same time by teams who didn’t have contact with each other and content was never actually tested on most current builds before being tossed at us.

The Galaxy Quest crossover in Starfleet Command has been a significant misstep. While crossovers can be exciting, merging disparate universes like Star Trek and Galaxy Quest has diluted the core Star Trek experience for many players. This unexpected shift in tone has alienated a substantial portion of the fanbase and has done little to address the game's underlying issues. Coupled with the increased reliance on P2P mechanics, this Arc has negatively impacted player enjoyment and retention. My own alliance has lost two players due to the crossover simply being too much for them to continue to enjoy the game.

Very well stated. After thousands of hours of in game time, I quit the game 30 minutes after the new arc started as I was there for trek. Nearly got to ops 60 but no longer care. I am only reading posts here as I am curious how many others are disheartened at what happened to what used to be a startrek game. Many newbies will join who do not know the difference between GQ and trek, so scopely will make their money, hence they do not give a crap about long time players who know what is and what is not startrek. Scopely: please rename this game to “Galaxy Quest / Startrek fleet command” to avoid additional false advertising.

The cross over doesnt even bother me that much. Using a License owned by Paramount is logical as it should mean they dont need to pay out licensing fees and worry about license being pulled later etc. The real issue is even though its an Inhouse license the way this arc has been monitized its like they were paying Disney to use star wars or something. This is the most offensive arc yet as far as monetization goes. Even for the people of the proper level to get access to the content they are locked out of basic functionality unless they buy access. If they want to drive people away. Good Job. The highest leveled person on my server is looking at leaving and taking all his spending with him at this arc

The event store is their F2P path. so they are not going to let you get it free the first month. They are going to make you have to decide do I want Bps or other stuff etc. The days of easy access to ships etc. are over. We cant even get freebie directives to do the content. its all pay us for the pleasure now

This is by far the worst arc I’ve ever had the displeasure of playing. This could have been a fun and goofy experience to help heal the wounds of your greedy p2p mechanics, but alas you doubled down on your BS. Poorly executed events, boards, and freaking cooldowns on rewards further proves you care nothing for your players. These whales will only carry you so far and for me, you have poisoned any game you will ever make. If it weren’t for a community of friends I would walk away. Hope the short gain is worth it, because it doesn’t feel like it to me.

The event stores have always been a catch up mechanic, you can’t do the new mirror content without that ship. It looks like we will get enough event store currency to afford the full unlock by the end of this arc. If they were going to time gate it that’s fine don’t put it in an event store where there has never been a cooldown to the best of my recollections only a limit on pulls.

We have never had a cooldown on anything in an event store if we as the player base allow this to fly mark my words they will make every event store Unique and recurring. I will also point out at a 12 day arc with a 1 day cooldown that’s 16.6 months to get the ship.

Olay, so we need ship parts to progress but you've replaced all the faction ships in systems higher than 46 with Krey hostiles. How are we supposed to do our faction hunts or gather parts to refine (other than survey)? Nice job screwing this arc up right out of the gate. You have so much material that you could do so much with and you've completely blown it.
The Delta Quadrat, Voyager or the Dominion alone. Wow you turned one of the most famous ships in the Star Trek universe into a mining ship that has to farm a few 8472 every now and then. The Dominion is a horde of npcs that need to be farmed. Hats off to so much lack of creativity.
I could go on like this for half the day.

I've been playing STFC almost since the beta and have experienced times without RoE, left a lot of money with you and grinded a lot. But the money is over for now. I'm going to do a bit of my dailies and concentrate on all the loop stuff you've thrown into the game completely pointlessly.

As someone who took a year off I think the arc is fine. The new ship helps with mirror as I'm missing a ton of research, officers, and artifacts. It's grind is simple and done before the mirror timer runs out.

I don't think having another franchise in hurts the game. The story doesn't make sense anyway.

so, i’m REALLY trying hard to keep an open mind and maybe there is stuff i’m having trouble understanding…. however. from what i see, the chimera “directives”… way too stingy with them. i get that the investors want their money and the developers need to eat. however, you’re not going to get players already turned off with this content to engage with it if it’s too expensive to do so. Secondly, it’s convoluted. There are claims in the refinery that are “hidden” in sub menüs. we have to hunt. not good. claims should be first to see so they we don’t have to spend even more time clicking through and hunting. Additionally, i sort of torn on the anomaly effect in the chimera systems. on one hand it serves to get your feet wet with that mechanic before going 60+. On the other hand, it’s unnecessary and just prevents me from wanting to go there. Also, the reputation losses from killing klingons in those systems are messing with my rep grind. I HATE that but i guess it isn’t overly necessary to go off hunting them. that’s my preliminary arc feedback and note i didn’t mention cross over hate / game icon / etc. Even this could have been ok, but y’all are making some bad mechanic / design / and menu choices.

Spent my only tokens to fight a chimera along with a lot of buff juices only for the second I clicked attack to have the game totally lag out and become unresponsive for several minutes eventually resulting in a full crash. I would love it if every time I start a Chimera the game didn't do something unexpected and I end up being out the 100 Blue Particle Accelerators. I am now on my third support case (love having cases closed with no confirmation that the issue was fixed or without help even being offered). Can even finish events because I can't participate. The first time the Armada ended up being out of range even though I was less than 20 seconds from the Chimera. This last time I started the chimera and my ship took off accros the system. I changed my view to galaxy and back to the system and all I got was scanning and with no chimeras to join.

But Scopely has downgraded the experience for sub ops 40 players SO MUCH, that it’s insulting. Scopely is basically telling poor people they can’t play their game. Fix this buggy game, I am doing dailies and completed Faction Allegiance (Defeat Federation, Romulan, or Klingon Faction ships of level 53 or higher) 9/9 and Hostile Harbinger (Defeat 25 hostile ships of Level 54 or higher!) 25/25 but the Hostile Hunter (Defeat 5 hostile ships of Level 53 or higher!) Is 4/5. Can anyone explain this? And Scopley your report issue Bot is useless because this issue is not in any of its categories and kicks people out if you have an issue that is not on its list. The arc generally is terrible, but my biggest issue of all was the misleading hype around the NSEA’s mining ability - the omega research is nice, but so far discovering it’s a really slow grind and since launch, I have gathered enough for a single research. The single biggest reason most people probably bought the NSEA was for the trellium mining - we were misled! I’m sorry, making a fanfare about the mining ability and the in practice giving us a ship that is worse than virtually every miner in the game at mining it is not acceptable. One way to sell more ships would be to adjust the mining research which when maxed is 100000% increase to include “surveys and the NSEA” or just make the mining speed buff a lot better on the NSEA, greatly improved than a miner - otherwise it’s a fairly pointless ship, just like the Gorn Eviserator is. <@&509690795536941056>

Many players I’ve spoken with and seen in different message boards and platforms are seriously worried about the longevity of the game. Arcs are getting worse, lag makes game unplayable a lot of the time, the promises Scopley made us about quality over quantity never happened and trying to get information or help from Scopley is next to impossible. I think the issue is, we have an extremely loyal community playing this game that is prepared to tolerate bad rollouts and content………. every now and again, not month-in-month-out. I don’t think there many games like this that have such a loyal and faithful community who genuinely want nothing more than for the game to evolve in a positive way and be successful. Players will support it financially if you give them a reason to do so and treat the players with respect.

However, the patience eventually runs out and I think this arc is the final straw for probably more than ever before. Loyal fans abandon and vote with their feet if you abuse their commitment and take them for fools.

The content has been poor, yet another grind loop installed, the events and rewards are rubbish, no content at all for 0-39 players and a ship that is genuinely pointless to buy this time around - many bought it believing it was an genuinely epic ship for Trellium mining but it isn’t! Give people a reason to buy it… however, DO NOT “FIX IT” by introducing a P2P version of the ferengi whip - this ship was advertised and “sold” on its mining ability… people bought it for that reason, but it doesn’t work. Fix it quickly and stop exodus of players as a matter of urgency!!

Scopley can ban for what is considered unpopular advice. There are other legal entities that can aid in resolution. Gotta wonder if each states AG could get things moving in the right direction. Couple disclaimers ahead of feedback: 1) I bought the ship and battle pass. 2) the fact that this arc is Galaxy Quest doesn’t affect my opinion. My understanding is Scopely plans the content well ahead of deciding what appearance it will take on. We would’ve received this content in a Trek theme had GQ not been chosen by Paramount.

This arc is competing with Lower Decks 2 for the worst of any content you’ve released. That arc was the closest I’ve come to quitting the game. We’re one week in and this one feeling very similar. It’s purely a paywall.

**Omega Trellium **– This is obtainable only if you buy the ship. So if you don’t spend $100, then you’re already out of half of the new content.

Fatu-Krey – This seems ok. Hostiles pop in various systems and you can kill them fairly easily. Lack of events is making it feel wasted though.

Chimeras – This is yet another poorly communicated mechanic. They aren’t armadas – got it. However, they aren’t exactly hostiles either and only certain officers work. So the community is given two free starts (assuming 4 pulls of Fatu-Krey scraps) to figure it out. That worked for Gorn, Xindi, Silent, etc. because you could just go back and try something different (even with silent being tokens). Not on this.

Events – This has been a travesty. Two non-pay, non-BP, non-weekly SMSes in four days. One IMS that I’m guessing most servers did not complete. Several SLBs for Chimera that are effectively pay walled. Ops 25 and below have had a better experience so far with multiple events this week. This Omega-13 mission is one of the worst inventions you’ve managed to come up with. Play a guessing game with money for 3 shards. Kick rocks.

I feel bad Bek was so excited about Galaxy Quest being introduced in content. This arc writer has done a terrible job and honestly, should never be allowed to do another. I had some prime purchases planned as I just got into G5. I’m strongly reconsidering. A couple hundred dollars from one person won’t change anything, but your alienation of the community in this arc guarantees there are several others.

It's actually not random. They have a timer for EACH bp you pull. So assume you have not gotten any BP in 24 hours. You pull your first BP then 5 hours later pull the next 11 the cooldown will tell you 17 hours left because your first BP was pulled 5 hours ago and is on cooldown for another 17. When you pull that BP at 17 hours, it will then say 5 hours left for the remaining 11

I came back from a roughly 4month break in May of this year. In that 4 month period the game changed alot with basically a new loop added every month. I'm a big proponent of doing what you can/want and letting progression be what it will, so generally indifferent to the number of grinds. But, the MU is not a fun grind. Beyond the design choices to make the grind long, arduous, costly, and painful, the entire MU is really freaking complicated. Like it's near a game unto itself. It's not fun, it's off putting.
Complicated game mechanics that require in depth plans to engage with are not what I returned to this game for. I just want a mindless grinder with the occasional fast paced fun from pvp or a wave and while that does currently exist those mechanics have their own, well documented, issues. Overall the MU has just taken all the wind out of my sails as a returning player. Such a massive grind with such a massive barrier to engage with reminds me why I stop playing last year.

I really hope whoever is in charge of making higher level decisions doesn't get any sort of year end bonuses or anything this year because they really are failing hard with every choice they are making. 1, "quality over quantity" this horse has been beaten so hard it counts as desecrating a corpse. More loops, expanding content that most players don't enjoy and bringing in new IPs instead of fixing existing issues
2, huge lack of awareness. Event stores giving out less and less currency, comps for issues being completely irrelevant to higher ops players, almost 0 content for anyone not ops 40 and above the past 3-ish months which statistically is one of the smaller groups of your players. oh, and the borg cube debacle just flipping a giant middle finger to every player who spent event store currency on a cube. meanwhile CM's are making jokes in the announcements channel
3, lack of 'tact' feels like the best wording. We all know you're a business and a businesses job is to make money. the problem comes in with how egregious you have been recently. 'hey come ops up!' encouraging players to get to points where bottlenecks in currency will pressure them to spend, two separate battlepasses this month, prime after prime that just keep invalidating every other purchase players make. apex barrier is the new thing, so if you want to have a chance vs people who do pay you're pushed more and more to buy these new primes that are also going to be invalidated in a couple of months. oh and don't forgot the massive capitalization of FOMO

There's only so much you can do before more and more players are going to quit. And when that happens even the whales won't save you because there won't be anyone left for them to attack and they will leave as well

I'm one of the first players for I don't know how long, in June 2023 I took a break, I played very little for work reasons, even at that time the game loads increased every month due to the stupid choices of scopely, then in September I had an accident, I spent almost a month in hospital and I'm still unable to work, so in October I started playing again, I can play day and night and I assure you that in almost a year with this pace my account has grown at a dizzying pace, but even I who have all the time I want available am considering leaving the game due to the stupid updates of the last few months. so if I came to this decision, I don't dare to think about how a player who has few hours available does it, if I went to work, I would certainly have already abandoned the game

I can tell you without anyone saying anything that the number of players spending for $5 packs would be far greater than the number spending $100 . As a kid I used to sell Russel stoves candy boxes for 3x there value in front of grocery stores that sold them at time for about $2 . Though I always sold out most people would buy from the store instead getting it cheaper. . Simple truth most people spend more on cheaper stuff than on expensive ones.

Yet many want to claim their gamer when they have no skills and wouldn’t be able to win without buying. Online pvp stuff I don’t really care for nor do I call them player vs player. Those are actually wallet vs wallet now a days or cheat codes vs cheat codes depending on game. True player vs player was about honest skills between knowledge of the game how fast you could push buttons and how well you could pull of certain actions. Now days it’s all about wallet size and cheat codes depending on game. Its why some mmo’s are a little better then others and why many don’t really care for pvp. It’s also why traditional single player games that add pvp wind up going down the drain and sucking. Played one pvp game you played them all . Pvp is ok but when put to games that never were those games suffer for to much time spent developing pvp features that ain’t no different then any other same old stupid mini maps same old consents . They just scream hey look at us we have no imagination. Yes I’ve played a lot of these so called pvp games ain’t found a single one different.

Best pvp games in my opinion are fighting, racing, and other sports games. COD and games like cod all suck as pvp goes between all the cheaters that use cheat codes like god mode and the whales that buy everything and the boring same old game play concept of tag capture flag are just so dang boring. Now rpg games like dungeons and dragons where there are multiple ways to play them I enjoy the absolute most. Its like how the original resident evil game is one of my favorites of its series for I could go through areas though same something different could always happen. Love games that really use the random encounters mechanic to its fullest for these have greatest replay abilities.

Don’t really understand how I lost first time in here today. When normally I can come in here with this crew and ship and beat 20 of these before ever being destroyed. Yet here of as y I get destroyed by one first time in. This one of the things I hate about the mechanics of this game there is no consistency in combat. It makes no since that I can destroy using exact same ship and crew set up in exact same area against exact same ships win against 20 one time then lose against one another time. I would understand it if different in some way but nothing is different. If anything my ship is a little stronger then it was yesterday from getting a new part. WHY is it too hard to make collect/refine all button? Game is unplayable with million currencies since there is not enough hours in day to do all useless refines. • I have enjoyed the writing for the mission storyline. Props to whoever wrote the story.
• I like the MU content and the MU expanded released this month is an interesting new way to expand content.
• Little tweaks to MU are nice: easier to traverse a MU system and quickly move to the next system by locking in the command, addition of the ISS Enterprise adds some spice to the hunt and a goal to grow towards.
• Invasion content is really cool and I look forward to more of it. I really hope you use this concept to revamp older content like Borg Mega Cube, Swarms, Augment, Doomsday, etc.

• I can't say this in stronger terms.... the crossover featuring GQ (or anything else non-trek) is something I'm strongly against. There is plenty of Trek content to keep us going for many many years without breaking immersion and pulling from other IP.
• The NSEA ship launch event rewards are surprisingly bad. Typically a ship launch rewards early adopters with decent event rewards or at least a leg up on events. That does not seem to be the case.
• Event rewards in general seem exceptionally bad this month.
• Sourcing for the new officers? I expected the NSEA to open up a way to source them but that does not seem to be the case.

• I make this suggestion every couple of months so I want to plug it again: Can you please run a territory season with a rule change limiting entry to an active territory takeover/defense to alliances who have joined the takeover? I feel like this simple change would bring TC in line with how many envisioned it and make the space more competitive and dynamic.

As StarOcean points out, a majority of the games that do it actually will have something in the game that matches the advert, even if it's not the main part of the game but a mini-game that might only be available for 5 minutes of the game 10 hours into the gameplay or something. So they're skirting the law, however in the UK some of these adverts still get banned by the ASA.
And "Footage not depicting gameplay" labels only have basis if the footage is based around the theme of the game itself - Clash of Clans adverts, for example (at least ones I've seen), the footage is clearly not from the game but is also themed within the context of said game

For those that don't do it that way are blatantly breaking the law, doesn't matter if it's free or not. These laws exist for a reason

Has there been any discussion about instituting default policy of putting up peace shields for players when there are mass issues impacting server(s) where players are unable to connect; not one or ten players but everyone?

Having this as a default action not requiring internal “should we, shouldn’t we” discussion would be value add for players.

Default thresholds to automatically approve shield extension based on length of connection issues would also be value add.

Among other things, it would allow peeps like @raw fiber & @tidal notch to have comms ready to rapidly announce peace shield thresholds (eg, we’ve put up 4 hour shields and if not fixed in 3 hours existing peace shields will be extended another 4 hours) to manage expectations. Obviously clear lines of internal communication will be needed to let community managers know at 3 hour mark (or whatever threshold is decided) that it’s time for an update to impacted servers.

Making this a default process will avoid a real or perceived impressions these are on-the-fly decisions. Again, though it’s about managing expectations of all involved.

I claimed a task, then after starting it, it got re-rolled to something else. An alliance mate claimed a task and then after claiming it the game just marked it as failed.

Scopely need to slow down and stop introducing new dynamics into the game - the platform can’t handle what is already in there and introducing a task interface into each alliance, with players doing individual tasks all scoring differently was never going to work in an already bugged and laggy environment.

Give us one month where you stop adding stuff, take a month off and to continue the £££ intake, have a month with better value packs that encourage the the community to spend on things that are useful to their progression, and give a smooth, fault free month and try to rebuild some confidence and faith that this loyal community of players now are losing completely… you need to change direction Scopely and quickly!

Scopley seems to be phasing out all the F2P stuff in favor of more Pay to play items like the Prime Research events as well as any new ship/officer events where you have to build or upgrade the new ship and officers. For a person who was willing to spend on this game at one point, I am thankful I never did and never will. This alliance tournament garbage is another example of how its just a money grab. You either are fortunate enough to get into a spenders alliance or not. The alliance event store is mediocre at best with the loot earned riding whale tail. They cant even put more useful things in there like the ferengi whip or a 2nd builder/researcher. Putting FTs in there without a way to earn more catalyst is trash. F2P still waiting to max their first epic FT which game design said was possible in 6 months. And the fact that scopley still chooses to ignore this broken loop for f2p just tells you all you need to know while they keep releasing content to try and squeeze more money from whales. They cant even let a F2P earn a 2nd researcher or builder or dock with all the time invested into the game. To them its all about money and they dont care as long as they get people spending.

These are not alliance tasks, these are solo tasks you complete for your alliance...
Another feature that has a good basis but destroyed buy someone not thinking it through.

Let us start a task contribute to it and when we cannot finish it we put it back in the pool for some else to finish. Both people get the rewards based on % completion and the alliance gets the points for the leaderboard.

How can you allow a task to be rerolled once someone activates it for themselves?
Also another feature with more bugs than the Amazon rain Forrest.

Now, after not keeping track of my previous task, it has erased it from being my task and when I try to take a new one it says I'll lose progress on my previously selected task that I cannot see. <@&509690795536941056> when do you reckon Scopely will get their act together and either take this all down or fix it? I'm kind of tired of comp chests

The tasks just reset, so if you had one sitting, it would've been wiped. If you don't see a green box that you're currently on a task, ignore the message

Well, I think the time has come to uninstall this from my phone. I do not remember a reset that has not been plagued by bugs or horrible lag in the past 6 months at least. This alliance tournament takes the cake. It seemed like it had great potential for a new kind of event, but the application was completely messed up.

There really doesn't seem to be any point in continuing as it has become obvious that Scopely either doesn't really care, or is in way over their head trying to program a complicated game like this. I have loved this game, and the interaction I have had with the players on my server, but the frustration I have had these last few months have made it just not fun any more. For now, going to pull back and find someting to do with my time that doesn't make me want to throw my phone through a brick wall.
