Just out of my own curiosity let me play devils advocate for a second:
What is your stance on the Stella and the whole outlaw stuff then? Since no one in my alliance has any idea so far as to how it connects to the Trek lore.
And on the hypothetical flipside of the coin, would GQ automaticly count as canon if the film ended with Tim Allan saying "Computer, End Program."?

While i certainly get the sentiment of there being so much other stuff, Wrath of Kahn for example, they could have gone with, i'd also argue, of all the other space ship series out there, going with a half-parody that is 100% inspired by Star Trek, is the least offensive thing they could have chosen.
Just my two cents and i'm honestly curious about your thoughts about the stuff i mentioned in the first half.

What i mean with the Stella is the weird design with the dragonfly wings, they appear to be highly impractical compared to the more compact design of all other ships (okay, you could argue the Vidar and Vidar Talios have the same problem, but in these two you can at least see the Pilum or Gladius base chassis they were modified from.)

If you ask me it’s a failed attempt. I’m no where near ready to upgrade my ops more . As for buying, why should I? Game has been severely broken for years now and has only been getting more broken on a daily bases. Especially every time incursions starts coming around a week before incursion events game gets really bad then through all the events gets worse and continues that way for a week to 2 weeks after with many of them sticking around. Its worse then playing an old comador cassette game with scratched connectors .

It’s funny how times have changed. Once upon a time quality and pride in what was made mattered. Now quality is gone things break and fall apart no one has pride in their work and only care about the almighty dollar. Slavery lives for all are slaves to the economic wheel of the almighty dollar. Todays time buy a leather belt it falls apart with in a2-3 uses 70’&80’s a leather belt would last some times 5-10 yrs . Taking pride in putting out good quality used to matter, nowadays there is none in a lot of it and it clearly shows for subpar products that either don’t work right or fall apart or quit after 6 months to a year sometimes more sometimes less. I’m only a C2P player but I’ve spent around £100 this month.

Scopely, I paid money for my Cube by buying the elite battle pass, then due to a bug didn’t get the blueprints and had to message support for weeks until it was resolved. Now you’ve given the Cube to everyone, after a lot of players spent money to get it, and right after some players spent event currency on it. And you’ve given me and the others who already had it nothing? I’m seething. I feel like you just spat at me.

I’m aware £100 in a month is nothing to you but I’m now on a total game spending ban until you are fair and make this right. I’m SO disappointed you would do this.

Normally I miss out on free stuff because I’m not a high enough level but this time you’ve given an entire premium ship to much lower level players and players who have never spent a penny on the game, and spat on players who have financially supported the game. I feel SO cheated.

Fusion Rods need to be removed from the game. The entire concept is flawed and frustrating.
You grind for a ship or a new FT and are happy about it? Don't have enough rods to use your FTs and boom, frustration.
Instead you could just put the FTs on cooldown after a switch or so...
And since that's probably not happening, there needs to be better sourcing for them. Add them to the FT packs in Exborg, Trellium etc.. it's just plain annoying this way

Mirror verse in STFC sucks completely useless(just like everything that comes out) lets water the game down because we need more money. Why can’t you just make a game people enjoy why does it have to be about making you money? The complete unlock of the cube was cheaper, but I had the event credits to cover the difference, the event package purchased had more of other things to be enticing, and it gave a major boost in the leaderboard for the officer shards.

So it felt like there was some real value there so I bought it. And now found out I pretty much just bought the Resistance package for negative credits.

Seriously a lesson to never spend money here because anything premium will be in an event and anything in an even can be given away for free.

Way, way better than the last few months.]] The fact is they are making it much much more difficult to get officers at launch. Devaluation of G3/G4 currency + increasing Milestones. TWO: Such a generous gift should have had an in-kind option for people that already have the ship. Fair is fair, and we all know this game isn't fair, They only did it since they had Zero plans for a way to get the ship in game / which was their own design issue, their fault 100%. What did they think was going to happen? We are 12 weeks past gorn ship release and we are at just over 1/2 unlock for F2P. We are almost 10 Months from Whip release with no plans, not even answers to the possibility to a F2P path. They just come across are pretty disorganized. They have built a game with such a trippy progression arc between levels they can barely plan. look at solo mada progression / levels, xindi, Silent, gorn, waves and now MU. all pretty unbalanced and have sweet spots. The MU designer “thought” mining would be fine for my lvl - so so wrong even with full research. whatever.... its getting old

1. so happy that G6 got their own bracket. Please continue separation.
2. Trellium D drip and the mirror refinery additions are great.
3. Third FC slot is fantastic but the event store loot and selections should have been increased
   4)Events were not excessive and were synergistic- so much better than June.
4. Ability to get a rare officer with the BP- having a choice was nice.
5. communication was really good. I like getting a peak at new content early- even if many players are not happy about GQ.
6. Stability was a problem- worse than June- crashes, freezes, loss of time in waves and MU.
   I enjoyed the July Arc. Keep the QOL improvements coming.🖖

But it still doesn’t explain how getting single and double digits in an armada bit that you can only get in 100’s and only spend in 100’s. So there is no way for you to be winding up with the amount above or with like 42. It’s not like formations and regular armadas were they give you single and double digits in the daily pulls..

Oh maintenance? Well in that case I expect the game will get more broken then what it already is instead of actually getting fixed. That is how much faith I have in scopley maintenance. Since it’s a 99.9% chance of them actually making matters far worse with a 0.1% chance of them actually fixing something. I base that off of how many times through the almost 7 yrs of the game being out. Thats how little faith I have in scopley actually fixing the game and making the game better. These last days weeks noticed some small lag. Could play with it. Today is another whole different thing. i think i heard their best response like 5yrs back "working as intended" because qhen they do "try" to fix lag or a "bug" it never seems to stay fixed. I have come to learn that unfortunately they cant maintain a balance of playability on such a widely used program and unfortunately pretty sure they realize this. Thats why more often than not we dont often get responses back unless you ping a specific person, and even then we dont always get a good answer. For example the fc seat that was achievable according to them through ftp but they never really said how much currency ftp could earn. Some players have said they earned around 230k with leaderboards and event tickets(rare) well if i take leaderboards which is a coin flip if ftp will rank and event tickets out ftp can't earn the seat. Yet still no response for over a week about the fc seat and wont be until arc is over if that.

STFC has really gone downhill over the last 4 months, and even more so over the last month. We gone from having a margin of error for bp and other long term events to none, and despite multiple days of unplayabity no compensation relating to the particular events. The rewards for just about every event have become harder to get and either give the exact same reward or less. The event store gave about 1/4 as much currency as it did a few months prior. And when we contact support unless its something that impacts everyone it takes a about a week to get them to do anything if they bothered to do anything at all. Seriously are you guys trying to get us all to quit this game?

I think (hope) that we all understand that the CMs/Moderators are just a go between for the community and the tech team. I personally understand that the Community Managers are in an extremely difficult position trying to appease all of us requesting answers that are not provided to them. Here’s the deal that folks do need to keep in mind despite the frustration of trying to play at the moment: fixing tech issues (hardware or software) takes longer than we’re often led to believe.

Having worked on both sides of the sense of being a hardware tech & then doing @tidal notch & @raw fiber style work when things were going to hell in a handbag - everyone wants 1) things to be fixed now, 2) to scream at the nearest most visible target for not doing enough (when they are relying on others), and 3) just complain.

I worked for a major retailer & we had massive issue just before Black Friday, all hell breaking loose & internal execs screaming. End of the day, my manager reminded me that no babies died, we were working as fast as we could, and to keep lines of communication flowing.

I know our CMs are doing what they can to keep us informed based on what others are doing. To that end …

Ok all you folks at scopley, Please note... You have taken any thought from my mind about spending another Nickle on this game until you start providing a reasonably quality product. I have players that are about to jump ship. The lst update you put out says to restart the game so somekind of 4 hour bubble will show up and help us not lose our RSS from base raids while you try to put on more patches. Tell ya what........WHy don't you take some actuall time to fix the game before you add any more content. My guess is that you need to give us all a 30 day break and rebuild from scratch. I would have no problem with that. In fact if something tangible doesn't happen, and you begin to realize that all the players are important, you wont have many left. Yes - but the real reason behind that was cost cutting - AWS told them that the server load was going to require them to pay more in order not to have pervasive problems, so they put out bids for the same exact server specs they had, but wanted it cheaper than AWS - hence Redis - thrilled to have a “big” client

Guys this is most likely the worst lag issue I’ve seen scopely experience. Know I’m running an apple 15 (last years newest). There is an update on the apples system (not showing) but it isn’t helping. We are at the mercy of scopely ingenuity. Patience is our best option. I’ll update if something changes.

Meh, everyone and everything has bad days. It's how you handle those days that matters. That's what frustrates me. Seems like they've made little to no effort to improve high-availability, and there's been zero communication other than "it broke!"

Ceasefire shield ends in 20 minutes. That means 40 minutes ago there should have been communication around what we can expect. Should we be wasting a 3 day shield if we manage to get on long enough to do that? Will Scopely put up longer ceasefire shields to protect those that can't?

On top of the unplayable lag, you changed the Borg PvP event to scoring for being the attacker only. I put up long shields last night because this event has NEVER required being the attacker to score. You've given me the choice of NOT scoring in the event or blowing 6 days of shields on BOTH accounts.

This is an honest comment, but this isn’t the first or second time this has happened recently. It’s becoming more and more likely at any point we won’t be able to login or have issues like this. I think maybe instead of focusing on ARC content it would probably be a better idea to spend the next 6-12 months fixing the game there are sooooooo many bugs. Layering new content over existing bugs is insulting to the players when things like this happen.
