I truly LOVE how they just send a standard response (sometimes not even addressing anything you complained about; most hilarious was when I once complained there was no communication, neither ingame nor on the official Discord, and they suggested me to join the official Discord for regular updates... what the heck) and IMMEDIATELY closing the ticket after, so you don't even have a chance to react -.- Last time a opened several tickets, always referencing the original ticket number... What kind of behaviour is that?! It is highly unprofessional and it is nowhere near to be helpful in any way... Yes I have taken issue with these new efficiencies, they are very expensive adding more strain to a stretched economy. My hope is scopley will add into the g5 economy to ease the resource pain then these new researches really do come into there own. There is good effiencies here, I’ve done a fair few already but the res drain is incredible atm

We do not encourage this. Overwhelming CS with tickets means that urgent ones take longer to address as well. You would only be hurting other players.

I am not yet ready to quit. I enjoy the heck out of this game and have spent whale money on it to get to level 51. I am, however, ready to stop spending money. I already have.
Games have bugs. Sometimes, these bugs make it to the users. It happens. An explanation, an apology, a fix, and a make-good (for more serious issues) are in order. Some folks will wail and scream at every little thing--there’s no pleasing them. But there are expectations of quality.
I play on my iPad and have come to accept that it will crash no less than 4 times per hour. I find myself thinking “silly me” when I do something in game that makes the game crash like selecting a ship. How is it my fault that you can’t build a stable client?
I understand that you make more money when circumventing the Apple and Google Play stores. I buy (well, USED to buy) through your webstore instead. But I’m afraid of doing that now because looking at the iOS client wrong makes it crash. Why isn’t this being addressed? My best guess is short-term thinking. Fixing old stuff to make the game work requires time and energy that could be making new things that will make you money, but will then also break and be largely ignored. I know Scopely won’t answer, but it feels good to put it out there.
Then there are the broken promises. With the UI overlap, the game is nigh unplayable. 4+ crashes an hour is now more like 12+ times. And apparently, it is still Wednesday because that’s when you promised that it would be fixed “later today,” only to be followed with no fix and no further update. This is really gonna throw my schedule off if tomorrow is still Wednesday.
There are numerous forehead-slapping moments when we discover problems that should never have existed in the first place (Silver Scar anyone?). I am tired of being annoyed by a company that thinks a QA team is a place to stick someone’s nephew who managed to find a way to get expelled from DeVry. I will keep playing for now, but my wallet is closed.

this is happening on my lenovo tablet which is android. I installed the first update and came here and saw to stay away from the second update for fear it would make it even worse. I dont even know what the update was for. I did not do it on my samsung tablet and can play just fine on the server that one is attached too. the update for the computer (Of which I can't choose to avoid) seemed to work, But then the problems i had from the first update on the computer were not as bad as on the tablet.

I finally understand the FT %. The % indicates the failure chance not success. So 75% means 75% of failure. That is The only logical answer why w 75% you fail 3-5 times in a row.

When they announce it, it is clear. In this instance, the first server pair is going to be 61, the second pair is going to be 76. It is simply one of the servers going into the other. There is no new server getting created. Check the notification you have received about it to see how it is expressed.

This arc could have been so much better if the event store loot have been better. And when the ship also get stuck in battle preventing me for playing just make it so much better. Did just feel it was low on events. Realta race i did not manage to participate in as i check the timer and other things and forgot it started. So Not my type of event as missed it start and not online for other starts. So Realta is 1of10 for me, good try but hope you can find different way to run it. And the grand final that was running only 1 time is also crappy.

The garbage dude on our server ended up becoming the victim of a multiple alliance raid the day I finally got all my screenshots sent off to scopely. I think his base got hit just about every day for the next couple of days and then no one ever heard from him again. Quite a few people were sick of him at that point. They need to do better. Especially because, frankly, most games I don't even admit I'm a woman because dudes tend to be such trash. At least on my server, the bulk of the garbage ones get shouted down.

Scopely's own terms of use outline that they want to maintain a fair/inclusive/whatever environment. They should actively do something about the harassment rather than allowing it to continue. Like it's straight up a violation of the terms of use. I've seen people get chat banned over very little before on my server, but when it comes to players actually getting harassed it does very little. I just personally would like to see scopely applying their rules evenly.

I work with youth and young adults..we play other games together but I would never recommend stfc to them because of the toxic environment. Like I said before, certain things including the comments mentioned above in the screenshot and specifically called out are an actual violation of scopely terms. I would like to see scopely actually enforcing their own rules rather than protecting some players some of the time. And as far as stuff going down in your own alliance, if you are just a member, I'd encourage you to talk to your alliance leadership if they're maybe unaware it's happening or seriously reconsider where you are if they know and are doing nothing. Not saying you have to leave, but man. This is a game we play for fun and you shouldn't be made to feel uncomfortable in your own alliance chat.

Disabled my Ehternet card in my setting and went straight to WiFi (I run wired usually). On the Wifi, I went to my phone (using HotSpot setup)...was able to get in. At least I can shield up now.

Will go back to my Google Fiber connection (LAN) and see if it works again, if not, I'll ride the HotSpot off my cell service for a bit.

When I had the 76 stall even rebooting the modem didn't completely fix it, but my ISP had a modem diagnostic that did the trick. Make sure if rebooting it you do the full unplug and leave unplugged for like a minute. Glad you got the shield up!

@tacit obsidian @royal solar if you want to sell more elite battlepasses for the mini one, actually put useful, newer officers in there. The best one out of those 3 is Bashir. You get 5 in normal and 17 in the elite track.

Now if you have that many for neelix, or 2 of the other voyager crews, I would grab it in a heartbeat.

Gossa is a pvp officer that many whales have much higher. And he is worthless for almost all the ftp players. I could tier him up if I got it but ahhh, not worth it.

Data WAS a desirable officer but is now only useful for away teams and that is only if he is maxed out in traits. So he is a big pass, a VERY BIG PASS. There are more important officers to tier up and level up and use on away teams and max out their traits first. A lot more.

My suggestion...put the requested officers in these. Not the ones requested a year ago or 6 months ago but now. And put the ones desired now in it.

For next month, I suggest neekix (extremely important for all his abikities and no sourcing), Dixon hill (no sourcing and on someone's miner somewhere), and odo (no sourcing but very important, especially with hugh/torres).

As a bonus, throw in all 3 PiC officers in the elite track but only 5 shards of each. A great way to slow drip them. I wouldn't buy the elite pass for them, even if you gave 20 shards of each. But as a bonus to good officers, it would be huge.

It's amazing how the Scopely nerds merge two completely different level of servers and this is supposed to improve game play. The players on 75 are quite evidently more advanced and longer term, or, and this is probably the issue, there are more CC warriors among them. I've never encountered a game improvment that has so disgusted me. So the goal is to get rid of new or midrange players in favor of keeping the few paying customers happy until they get bord and move on to a game that is challenging but acheivable.

I have seen issue after issue since joining a few months ago.

a) I see you releasing bug fixes along-side of content updates. This is nuts. Separate bug fixes from content updates!
b) constant login issues
c) unsolved lag on events screen (lag is so long, windows thinks "prime.exe" is not responding!)
d) 1 ship in three different states at the same freakin time (how in the world are the booleans not being toggled correctly?): tell ship to warp home, but it remains asleep, and trying to recall again causes "invalid state" error msg.
e) "expiring our session" (when on PC) after 24hrs, and not presenting a login screen, but instead giving a button my cat could click to get back into the game, so ... it's not a security measure. Either force an actual login, or get rid of the session expiration!
f) improve the refinery returns - omg, 7 uc crystal every 10 hrs is bleeping stupid when one ship component wants 1553 uc crystal (tier 8 saladin); nevermind researches and other ships/structures wanting uc crystal.
g) not enough new stuff for the little guys (sub L30) - what's wrong with us little guys? are we not worthy of having something cool or something useful to fend off rogue/jerk players? although that northstar sure is a beast - wow!

that's just off the top of my head.

We're in the middle of an Incursion so... frankly at this point I'd really like it (and probably so would a lot of others who've had "issues" since last reset due to back end issues) if Scopely did a roll back to last reset and then reapplied any IRL money purchases made since then. Just ignore that this 24 hour period (reset to reset) existed would probably be better than anything else right now.... along with a hefty apology gift. So many have been raided to the bone as they were PvP'ing then suddenly kicked from the game and unable to get back in. Then you have others who weren't PvP'ing but couldn't get in to renew shields etc.

I'm not saying the device is responsible for all of the bugs, but there are some functionalities that simply don't work on older devices and cause issues, I'm just saying its a factor, not the cause. I can run the game on my S20 and my S23 and on my work iphone, its an older iphone; its running the most recent iOS but its slow and out dated and the performance and crashes demonstrate that quite readily. My S20 keeps up better but still has more issues than my S23. And if you're just ging to argue about it then you really don't know what you're talking about.

This game on an android smartphone is the same as dying swan, who doesn't know yet that he died long ago. The game is almost unplayable, ultra extremely lags, if you want mining you just keep scanning and scanning again for minutes, zoom in and out no longer works, armadas that don't work, server blackout. So the list of bugs goes on

I'm done with STFC. My top 5 reasons, if anyone at all is interested in Scopely.

1. DAILY TIME INVESTMENT - Everyday you have bound a player to feed ~20 stores&refineries, and big number of those actually has multiple sub requirements. This requires each and every day to invest on average at least 30-60min and often much more to support this. On top of that every day you are pushing BP, weekly, monthly, arc events... Money spending as alternative would require hundreds of dollars a month. None of those options makes no sense to me. EX-BORG is a major failure in this matter. 2nd daily goal of EX-BORG should just unlock one daily box containing all stuff in Exborg Faction Store. Why this items have a cost and even slow down research for this? Do I still need, 3.5 years after introduction, to kill borg probes every day?

2. GAMEPLAY QUALITY - Things like officer presets or additional docks are locked behind paywall.
   Why this small items on top of already too long list of items locked behind paywall also need to be locked from a player is just pure greed.

3. GROUP ARMADAS - Organizing (formation) & searching armadas(DS especially) on top of already way too long travel time and long mandatory wait is such waste of time & energy. Group armadas I play rarely or stopped to do them totally...

4. NEW STUFF EVERY MONTH - I dread when I see new things added. I know it means more grind, more old stuff getting more outdated, old problems just ignored, new problems added...

5. PvP - Game mechanics is OK, but Scopely simply isn't capable to organize PvP event without antagonizing half players: player mismatching, long travel times to pvp, pointless rewards, server wide kill-em-all events, no limit or structure for team...

Sorry but gameplay makes no sense anymore... Goodbye

I have had my mantis maxed for over a month and worked fine. After I completed max cargo research it would not engage when trying to attack any hostile or player. Useless now if doesn't work in actian systems. I have had an ongoing ticket now for 3 weeks....every other day with a new expert to help. Gone through what I believe is the extent of their call centre staff in support.....Luke, Jax, Leon, Charlie, Vivi, Reina & Yumi. Each one asks the same questions and "evidence". Guess they can't enter the game program to see themselves. They couldn't open a jpeg since they have no software to open it....so after posting a few videos via YouTube as requested with link submitted, they still come back with the same questions and requests. This on top of the new bug where on pc, the view snaps to exterior base view repeatedly regardless what you are doing. They pretend this isn't really happening. Now having extensive freeze ups and continuous battles regardless whether pc (now totally unplayable), notepad or Android phone. Just take whatever time it takes to shut game down and restart program coding testing along the way. Obviously you can't have the technology nor staff capable of working on a mirrored program to work on for bug fixes or serious recoding.

Hi, I have two bits of feedback for the game.

Suggestion 1:
In both the Galaxy Chat and Alliance Chat can we have the ability to select individual messages and reply within the chat.

Suggestion 2:
In the bookmarks section, is there any way you can make some changes to allow the players to create folders, rather than having a super long list of jumbled bookmarks.

My largest piece of feedback is this:
Scopely is too focused on making money to understand that opening the game's data up to developers would increase player engagement, bring in new players, and increase revenue. This playerbase, like many others, is full of talented programmers who have ideas to make the game better through outside tools (calculators, simulators, libraries, etc). Scopely could easily provide player-controlled access to data via OAuth2 (they're already using Okta for their own OAuth2-based game client login and store login). But instead, every person who reaches out about access is met with either silence or a blanket we-won't-do-that-ever response.
Don't get me wrong, I know they're refusing to allow access because you can't build a secure and controlled data access layer on top of a codebase and protocol that constantly and consistently mismanages information and is inherently insecure. Scopely would say this isn't a problem because the client only uses what is needed, but the hallmark of a secure system is delivering only what is needed. In all fairness, there is a secure part of the game: the store. But that's only because Scopely didn't write it, Xsolla did.
Remember, Scopely's focus is purely money. They won't fix the game's many issues to build what the developers need to create a larger and more engaged community because it requires an investment of money. And in their short-sighted view, that spend doesn't immediately come back as revenue, so it's not worth it.
And while there are sites that offer tools, they exist on the fringes and outside the Terms of Service. Scopely is undoubtedly aware of them, but they recognize the value and therefore allow them to continue. They're so close to getting the point, but can't quite make it.
I'm happy to discuss the many issues I've identified with Scopely to get the platform to a point that data access can be provided.

I still think every prime should be accessible f2p eventually, though slowly. Ever since the Treasurey addition to unlock territory primes, I think every prime has required G6 or special particles with no sourcing. Unwise.

Eventually the power gap will be too much between spenders/f2p, the f2p will quit, and the spenders will get bored. You can only merge servers so many times...

The support bot is unbelievably bad. I found a form that may or may not be relevant to my issue after spending 30 minutes trying different responses in the bot but the player ID field does not allow enough characters to fully enter my player ID.

We like having some rare nodes but ONLY rare nodes is a bit much, if you kit out for pure cargo you can't kill enough of the hostiles there to fill up mainly with regular mining stuff so now you're forced to mine the rare even if you don't need or want it. Sell the neelix solution to get into more mining tokens from more pulls, then make it so the mining system is useless. GG! Maybe take them out of fog of war so we can check before if we need cargo or hostile crew ....

This is the biggest rip off on the game, you shouldn't be allowed to gamble with our money and push it in your favour.

4 people in my alliance including me purchased the epic Forbidden tech for a ship. To up grade it is a % luck.

It started at 75% chance. I tried 4 upgraded and each time failed. This happened with all 4 of us.

How this looks is your are rigging the game to make us spend more money!

In the last Recruit 7 of 9 SMS/SLB event, for op35, one of the milestones was stated as "1.27M." As I was simultaneously battling in the SLB, a few seconds before the end of the event, I earned 1,270,750 points (as shown in the SLB results). I did not receive the reward for hitting the 1.27M milestone. I submitted a ticket to Scopely, but they said that (hidden from the players), the milestone was actually 1,279,680 points. They said I did reach the hidden milestone, so I am out of luck. This is unacceptable! Scopely must abide by the milestones it shows to the players, not some mystery higher milestone known only to them. Have any other players had similar issues?

What happened to “reducing the grind?” This year already we have gotten at least two ships including this new patch, and a few grinds that are extremely tedious and time consuming. You started strong this year with the freebooter stuff to reduce grinds, then you doubled down on adding even more grinds to players. Visual bugs are no less serious flaws in the software than other types of bugs. They have a significant detrimental effect to end-user experience and need to not be ignored/swept under the rug/given a low priority as often as you all (Scopely) does. 'Later this week' is a weak response that basically says 'ya ya... we'll get to it'.

In somewhat fairness, Star Trek had an animated series back in 1973-1974 as well (with the TOS characters), so you did miss something. Cartoon Star Trek is nothing new. I do find it weird that they are choosing a second Lower Decks arc instead of one of the properties they haven't done for an arc yet (Prodigy (another cartoon), the Animated series (from '73-74), enterprise, or the movies) or revisiting the augment or outlaw content (stella-A or botany bay-a -- though I'm not sure I want another stella/BB ship to fuss with).

From what we’ve seen by the Rev/DJ teams, these paywalled officers are going to break any semblance of competitive strategy in PvP (and that’s on top of how ST took away from the strategy aspect of PvP and the imbalance with the new primes and FT in the first place).

I understand Scopely is a business with fiscal goals, but going to a pure pay to win PvP direction is quite disheartening. I’ve been a long time player and currently Ops 54. These changes however are enough to have me considering leaving the game. It’s incredibly disappointing

Let’s be honest, strike teams ruined any semblance of competitiveness in pvp as is. Pvp hasn’t been engaging or fun since before them, and Scopely has proven themselves incapable of doing things like going back and balancing out officer perks to create parity and keep older officers relevant in any way. Used to be you could find very situational teams to take out one particular problem ship/player but that also meant you were exposed to several counter crew/ship combos in doing so, meaning you had to constantly be thinking and managing loadouts above and below deck.

I'm level 56 and been playing almost since the game launched but this latest arc has tipped me over the edge. I'm already fed up with the amount of grind. This game is progressively moving away from fun to chore and all for the sake of money grabbing. I have a full time real life job and am not looking for stfc to become a second one. I've also reached the stage with the game that if I want to progress in a reasonable timescale I need to spend literally thousands per month to do so. Add to that the new officers being a complete game changer for pvp and completely rubbishing all existing officers that I've invested in, plus the the route to getting them via slb auctions and I've just about had enough. I've put up a 30 day shield and am walking away for the month. I've not yet decided whether I will return or not.

From my point of view, scoplay has long taken the wrong path for a good game with long-term motivation, but the current arc takes it to the extreme. are criticized absolutely exaggerated pay to win what makes scoplay pvp offis who put the not so old others completely in their pockets. far too much daily crap that you have to do with too much time. what is scoplay doing new ship in mantis style with even more daily tasks. There is always talk of troubleshooting. I just see more and more coming. the performance of the game is now so bad that I would ask myself why I should put even one cent into it. Your super advertised 5 year anniversary will not be experienced by so many players because currently, at least on our server, many of the biggest and most active players are thinking of simply leaving and leaving you here alone with your dirt. Unfortunately, I read such feedback every month, but scoplay seems to be completely resistant to learning, so I'd rather look for another job.

The warp range has been set really high on the Texas systems making it difficult/impossible for us whales to get support ships out to the ... for example 58 system which has a warp requirement of 440. For comparison the top Jem system has a warp of 150, and the 59 Borg solo system is 205. Please change this.

My biggest issue with the Lower Decks Part II Arc 1 is that it is adding yet another grind/loop into the mix. I already have trouble completing the existing loops on a daily basis...and it does cause a feeling of burnout (and being overwhelmed). I am hoping more attention can be given in the future to ways to simplify the existing loops/grinds, instead of adding to them (the last couple of months have completely negated the time savings of hitting freebooters).

Instead of pulling this copy/paste content, how about stabilizing the game play, working on new content, reducing the amount of grinding and fix all of the sourcing issues. I don't usually give feed back, but this one deserves it. I don't know anyone wanting another grind. I don't know anyone wanting another ship to spend mats and time on. I don't know anyone that wants more difficult to source officers. My initial reaction to this arc is it looks terrible. Fix your current issues and add the QoL stuff that the player base wants. Stop adding new stuff when the old needs fixing.

you can obtain 6 blueprints from the ops40 "here be dragons" mission.
6 blueprints make no sense in the current state as you can only get the full 200 by paying, so there must be a way in the works to get a trickle of blueprints.

On the Bright side, the new ship doesn't really offer anything for the effort if you know how to pace yourself. Take things nice and slow and you won't be hurting for rss or mats which this new loop provides.

The game is unplayable on mobile devices less than a year old (new iPad, iPhone 13) given it crashes at least once every five minutes.

The new content will have its fans and detractors. Some hate the new grinds, others want new things to do. Some hate new pvp officers, others want more pvp officer variety. Its worth discussing, and opinions will vary.

Nobody is ok with their game crashing on new devices every few minutes. The game on iPad feels like a beta level program, and after many years of development with millions of dollars in income that is truly shameful. Would be nice to see them take some pride in their offering.

Paywalling everything new this arc is a design choice I wouldn't make, but its certainly a very easy pass as a customer when the product is as unstable as STFC currently is.

Well Scopely, if you were aiming for extreme disappointment this arc, you’ve hit the jackpot! I saw the SS of the leaked battle logs from the new isolytic pvp mechanics and prayed it was fake news, but here we are. If you don’t have the new isolytic crew, don’t bother with pvp. You might as well run a mining crew since your other officers and research for the past few years no longer matter!

Is that another specialty ship?? How many have been released in the past year alone?? A new player will be lucky to get anywhere in g4 with all of the specialty ships introduced in the 30s and beyond all requiring materials and ship parts.

You know what killed PvP officer variety? Strike team. So if players want pvp variety: remove strike team and probably all officers that came after. PvP had a good variety before and after Strike Team it didn't anymore and now we seem to get another Strike Team. So yeah good idea

Also I am taking issue with more content. Unless you are literally bored out of your life and have nothing to do this is not new content. Mostly because it is existing content. Shooting enemies and armadas is not new and you can do it now.

Can anyone recommend a way to get my support ticket escalated? I purchased a blueprint pack from online store, bank declined it… sale did not go through. I had to confirm it was an actual purchase with the bank (instant message), went right back into the store, Xsolla back on the payment page for £99. Paid it… and got a freaking September resource pack delivered. Not what I purchased.

I opened a ticket on Sunday - they said my receipt was for a September pack (what was delivered), and haven’t responded since.

Im now completely unable to play the game, because the moment I spend one tiny resource that was included in the pack, they are going to claim I’ve used it and cannot return.

I genuinely feel like they are purposefully avoiding this to hose me.

I've been playing this game for 4 years, in that time the game was just fun to play. Close community on the server who enjoyed playing together. That time was also known for value, Kumari was enough for you (the Kumari was really a beast in those days), later you were so happy with your first really lovely ship, the USS Saladin, with that ship you could use it for anything in the game PvP & PvE. Only a handful had access to the 36s. The first Armadas came out, this often made you sweat a lot with a few strongest from your alliance managed to defeat it. The PvP was well balanced, even though there were a few super strong players with a USS enterprise, they weren't always supreme if you had a 26s. Later on you got the Borg and Swarms, those specialist ships that came along were good and did what they were supposed to do. This was time not soon to be forgotten
The last few months are from poor, worse & not so great. New arc: is annihilation. When Strike Team came out it was already a disaster for PvP as a whole, it changed the balance, if you don't have a Strike Team you have almost no chance in PvP. Now Scopely thinks we don't want tragedy, but world destruction that's how bad the new PvP officers are for the game. And again a specialist ship, Scopely is just like a rabbit rabbits also keep breeding until they drop dead. There are not enough Armadas in the game yet…... I am stop writing: This arc is like visiting your dentist, and you ask can I have a root canal without anesthesia. This game has become a repetition exercise of the same, hopelessness to inspirationless from the game developer who prefers to earn money quickly and does not want to put any effort into making the game fun, challenging and to keep you motivated. Nowadays everything is behind miles of thick P2 wall, almost impossible leaderboard and deadly boring rehearsals. The best thing what we all can do is: quitting this game and remembering the good old days
