Some feedback for all this feedback: Scopely might not see this and if so they're handcuffed either by lack of knowledge or (reduced?) budget to action these in a timely manner.
Take these concerns and hit the socials of Paramount, the owners of the Star Trek license. Cite the poor customer service, pay-to-win and gambling aspects of this game and of course bugs. Take a page out of the EA and Disney debacle from Battlefront 2 ... its the biggest way a developer feels the pressure 😉
Even the mighty EA had to conform to the Disney "brand" otherwise it hurts their IP. Show Paramount the same because Scopely doesn't have to listen to us but they sure as heck have to listen to Paramount.

Scopley needs to do something about the hostiles getting stuck on spawn points. Server 63 Wolf system has 4 hostiles stuck, 1 of which is the scout. Others systems also have stuck hostiles.

This is... with out a doubt... the worst start to an arc and experience I've had since picking up this game. The tech side of things is RUINING any experience. From missing options on ships and modifications to existing crew, to horrific lag and constant difficulty with error messages. Scopely seems to be determined to ruin what they've built here. We, the paying and playing members of this game, are entitled to reasonable and consistent play... Not some app that isn't much better than a first release beta.

Game has several aspects broken atm. Server does not seem to be giving feedback to the client except intermittently. Commands seem to lag, mining countdowns get stuck, accessing the purchases menu freezes the game.... There's more, but it all points to server not properly communicating with clients.

I have a question? When is the random loot drop going to be overhauled to reflect the level of the player? After killing all the cardassian tangos needed to finsh the event in that space. I cleared my PVE chest and what do I see, besides the usall things I get bps for a Envoy, Vahklas, and a Kumari!! Ships I have not used in 20 levels. Yet in a newly open area the same useless ship bp are still in the mix! And upon checking my ship bp inventory I find this, bp to build the following number of ships: Envoy- 36, Kehra-115, Vahklas-78, Kumari-43, Horizon- 37. The Horizon is the only ship worth building but since its a resource hog more than 2 is a hugh waste of time and effort. The last time I posted this I was told build and scrape!! which is a even bigger waste of resources! So when will this issue get fixed? Like the ability to convert these useless bp into something of value?

Yet Scopely IGNORES all these and MANY OTHERS from YEARS AGO. But what they do? they release NEW bugged content...
Do you know, just for clarity, what happened to all other games that made it too money exhausting to play and did not fixed game play / bugs?... Yeah... those games are NO LONGER AMONG US.

It always amuses me when Scopely makes unforced errors that actually cost them sales of their Packs. Most recent example, the Elite Salvaged Augur Refit Pack. Yeah I know they want to keep a Romulan theme with the Officer shards included. But I’ll bet any amount that sales of the Elite Augur Refit Packs are minuscule compared to what sales were for the Elite Enterprise Refit Pack. And why is that? Are there any plans to implement touch screen functionality for PC use? Many laptops have touch capacity, and also function as 2-in-1 devices. Either with removeable keyboards, or keyboards that fold behind the screen and allow the laptop to function as a windows based tablet. This game allows zero touch screen functionality with PC. A more serious suggestion. Instead of rolling out the next arc, use that time to fix the existing bugs, give the devs time and support to actually check their code and do some QA before release. Take the hit on some new servers, on more support for the devs and the anticipated revenue of the next arc for getting the game into a stable enough state for future arcs. Would certainly cost a bit short term, but longer term you'll get more customers and happier existing customers, so more profit. Its not, ironically, rocket science.

The new skins giving pvp ships a buff for destroying hostiles/armadas (+200% to Mitigation) is unfair to Intrepid/B'Rel/Gladius owners. Their only advantage was their built in buffs against hostiles. Now that advantage is gone.
Intrepid/B'Rel/Gladius owners need the same skin (+200% to Mitigation) made available. Since pvp ships now get an added advantage against hostiles/armadas, so should the ships designed to fight hostiles/armadas now get a pvp buff.
I have devoted my game to be more effective against hostiles and armadas. That is why I got ships that were better at doing that than ships designed to do pvp. Now pvp ships have a triple advantage; built in pvp buffs, an additional +200% Mitigation buff, and now they are more effective against hostiles and armadas than ships designed to be more effective on hostiles/armadas.
I realize the new skin can't get removed. Please, give the same skin buff to those that have invested their time and resources to their Intrepids, B'Rels, and the Gladius. Why were the ships made available only to make them practically useless? As I started this comment, it's very, very unfair.

If you are supposed to be efficient than the first mistake was investing in the g3 rares. Second: 200% mitigation boost is ok but not a huge factor. And when you factor in PvE with Kelvin Pike you don’t need that boost because you already have max mitigation. And regarding that buff: those are the epics. They are supposed to be the pinnacle of ships and therefore have the better buff. And that information was available for everyone when they start playing. Which leads me back to the argument of not building the g3 rares.

1. if Buglagely would make game PLAYABLE, resolveing BUGs instead of briging other bugs on the board with new content
2. if Buglagely would resolve TC lag taht is live for years

4. if Buglagely would not adjust the game mechanics for THEM to suit it, ignoring the fact THEY have not thought about that part thoroughly in the first place

I opened a support ticket and it took them a whopping 22h to send me the automatic response which tells you that the ticket has been received and that normally I will be contacted within 24h... At that point I was wondering if these 24h started when I opened the ticked or when they sent that "automatic" message... However, that question by now seems a little irrelevant since I opened the ticket last sunday arround noon and it's now the following sunday - a FULL WEEK LATER and I am STILL WAITING for an actual answer... that delay in the "automatic" first answer alone leads me to think how bad things actually are over at scopely... normally this kind of message gets sent to you the SECOND you send them a ticket, cause it is done so... well... automatically by the system. The fact that I got this message 22h after I opened the ticket suggests that it wasn't sent automatically... but rather that they have a preset text saved somewhere and then the poor intern has the honorable job of copy-pasting it and send it to all players with newly opened tickets within the last 24h...

Many, many years ago I worked tech support for a PC assembler/retailer. There was one tech there who was monumentally incompetent. Someone would call up and if it wasn't one of the three basic issues he could deal with, he'd tell them to run a defrag and call back, essentially ensuring someone else would take the call next time.

However after several interactions with Support spread on a large period of time (2.5 years)- when I really don't engage Support each time I have an issue but really when I exhausted all possible known tricks to address common issues - I can see a pattern of handling requests which is not the best.
And just to reassure you, once I even used the email because the issue was pretty steep.
The treatment was the same.
Eventually I had to find a workaround myself. Support was late in response & unreliable, in spite all the info provided with detailed screenshots & logs.
So.. where I'm getting is:
As a customer - and may I add a paying customer, I see most of the times coming from the Support Team more of superficial attitude towards addressing issues than an optimised one.
Undoubtedly there are reasons for such behaviour: understaffed team, unexperienced, poor paid employees or worse not paid hence unmotivated.
Yet us customers shouldn't be treated like that.
The fact that Scopley cannot afford to pay themselves a reliable Support team ( I'm talking both level 1 so Help Desk and also level 2 & 3 Development & Production team) in the conditions where they absolutely pumped the prices in the store and there are a lot of people out there who pay monthly minimum 4 k (that ain't me , but I know people who do) - it's risible and doesn't bright their image.

As for the major lag time, quit using 1980’s server’s for one and quit trying to pack the servers for two. Both these are why you have such huge lag times. To many people on servers that just can’t handle it. It’s just like having to many windows open and running on a pc . There is a limit of how much data can be processed at one time and y’all have the bad habit of exceeding this limit.

What's the games reaction to the creation/deletion of lots of alliances? I would think that this would at least impact the logging negatively, possibly general performance of queries connected to alliances as well.
So the suggestion would be to cap the creation of alliances per player in a time frame. Something like "you can only create an alliance once a week" or similar.

The background of this:
We got a rogue player on our server and he is using the enemy tag of his solo player alliance to find his current grievances. We set this alliance to enemy as well, which makes it a lot easier to spot him.
He is deleting his alliance and creating a new one to circumvent this. This happens often, at least daily and usually more.

Outside the infrastructure problems leading to excessive lag and game crashes. This in my opinion is the biggest problem with the game. These are some of my rewards from hitting lvl 38 - lvl 41 hostiles and lvl 35 swarms. I’ve got over 20 low level ship BPs, Kehra, Vahklas etc. which I now have several thousand of each.
Rewards aren’t rewards if there not rewarding. Why not introduce an exchange system so we can trade ship BPs in for something similar to the transporter patterns system. We can then use to buy the BPs we actually need/want. It can be designed so it’s not game breaking and then at least rewards are rewards.

Agreed. It should be a penalty, not a reset. Like maybe unable to pull altruism/bounty alliance chests and no alliance rep gain for 72 hour, and/or a loss of 5% of your current alliance rep.

Another idea: make alliance rep locks at each/certain levels (neighbor, friend, consort, etc) , and dropping alliance means you lose your current progress to the next rep level.

Last idea: impliment an alliance rep gain multiplier. Example: base alliance rep gain starts at x0.25. each daily goal reset +0.01 to that multiplier. This resets back to 0.25 if you leave an alliance. Could also have contributions/alloy refining/helps affect this multiplier.

Can someone explain why tutorial type missions always come out week or months after the info they are tutoring about? I.e. DS9 side missions about the ASB. Why did the mission about blueprints to build the ASB come out after the mission telling you where to mine the plasma? And why did all these missions come out weeks after the ASB was released? Logic dictates you tutor someone first then give them the real item to use the new knowledge. This reminds me of the Stella missions that unlocked at t6+ rogue rep that tought you how to build and scrap a Stella. At t6 rep I would think everyone knows how to utilize the Stella mechanics. Please put more thought into mission releases. We could have held off building ASB til DS9 part 2 or second half of part 1 after the missions were done. That would have made the flow make sense. Obviously too late now but for future arcs, let's think about storyline progression and how it relates to gameplay.

It would just be logic to do testing as it costs them a lot of work to fix their nonsense and that work is money at the end of the day (not counting the amount of money not spent by frustrated players). Some of those errors should even pop up in automated test scenarios plus stuff like lag and scoring delays could be measures automatically as well. So they either have no grip on the real basics, or they know and don't care - you can argue what is better. The result for the players remains the same. Talking to that customer support is completely rediculous - you get an answer after a week which contains a pointsless statement, I had that now for numerous occasions. Asking those questions here doesn't really help either, as the CMs and scopely people here are to busy with the angry mob.

Hostiles take forever to fight, much longer than the normal 5 seconds.
Hostiles I just destroyed often stay on the screen not moving and unable to target them.
Hostiles reaching spawn points get stuck and are not able to be targeted.
Moving Hostiles not in the same position as indicated and my ship will travel sideways towards a target that isn't visible until it reaches the target.
I don't have other apps running.
Having to reload my phone every 2 or 3 Hostiles destroyed has effectively taken me out of contention for 2nd place of the Heavy Hitter SLB and 3rd place is about to catch up to me.
I hope you give everyone 1st place rewards for heavy hitter for this one... seriously get your glitches fixed... they are only getting worse

Please, for the love of the Prophets, you have to source way more INDEPENDENT CREDITS. We now have 38 officers that require them. To max all of them would take around 850,000 independent credits. Now I get less than 350 a day between Outlaw, Borg, and Augment refineries. So SEVEN YEARS! I don’t mind having to make some choices on who gets upgraded when, but right now it is practically a moot point. I can only promote a handful a year. I have max shards for about 15 of them and another 5 awaiting a promotion, but most of them are still only level 2 or 3 because of independent credits. Khan is the only one I have scraped together enough credits to max. Even if I wanted to buy some the amounts are ridiculously low and a fraction of the other three factions which I have plenty of credits anyway because they are reasonably sourced. And when you have event stores the cost is also horrible. I would have to spend my entire month’s loot to promote just one officer to T4. We play in part because we love these characters and it takes the fun out if you do not have a reasonable chance to make them worth using. I really hope improvements are in the pipeline and soon.

So every round, including the first and until your health is less than 30% at the start of the round, you have an 80% chance of having Morale

If you have morale (and that line - 80% chance to give morale - must appear at the start of each round to show you have it) then you are reducing their crit chances 110%

There a few uncommon officers that you should max, rest don’t spend credits on them and especially don’t spend badges on them. Chen, dj, zhou, yanagh, l’naar off the top of my head are some uncommons that you should max out.

Edit: @quick marten the feedback channel with slow mode is probably not the best one for a discussion, but.. generally speaking uncommon officers don’t have good enough stats to be worth it for below decks (other than possibly augments and borgs, but those are even more expensive to max), and while spending trait xp on them for atas may be ok for a couple of them, you’d just pair them with better officers to provide the stats.

You don't need to unlock a projectile to unlock another. Unlocked ionic won't help to unlock cryonic for exemple. But you do need 2 different currencies to unlock most "special" projectiles if it was what you meant

Add to that: I only buy the Battlepass regularly. Twice I have purchased the sale packs with the officers that do specific ship XP (leslie, hendorf, etc) when they were low price good deals (and no more). 1. The precedent for extra research and buildings used to be $20 and $100 for extra materials. But now they're being even more greedy.
2. Scopely didn't test their product and is not honoring their mishap.
3. It's not even displaying properly upon purchase.

1. Push out rushed untested updates and as many premium services as possible until community outrage.
2. Apologize, fix only the main bug the outrage is focused on(only what you must), and push out a gift pack to placate the majority.
3. Sit back and wait for new bugs to occur. Absolutely no proactive approaches will be considered.
4. Repeat step 2 only if other major uprises occur.
5. Push out the next arc, but ensure it's slightly more stable, and with slightly better rewards.
6. Check with accounting to ensure margins are meeting expectations.
7. Plan for the next arc and push the envelope further.

Remember when it comes to looking ahead and improving quality, you can always start dropping hints at future content.
Mass distraction is your best tool.

Support: Always have them test for you. If it costs them in game resources that's their problem. Never refund players for helping you by testing your bugs for you. As always, close tickets at all costs. They don't require solutions and we don't have any. The number one focus is to make them go away and lose interest in submitting in the first place.

I feel like armada loot needs a new division mechanic. Right now the damage based distribution makes it feel pointless to join armadas hosted by someone using a massive ship compared to yours, even if it's an armada you can kill. Furthermore, if they send a ship to your armada, you may want their help, but if you don't star them out, they'll end up taking the bulk of the rewards, and nothing you can do if you have less people showing than your ACC allows. I feel this goes against the whole spirit of Armadas being a team activity. Instead how about changing it to rounds survived across all ships to distribute the loot. Example. someone survives 10 rounds out of 20 in a 6 man armada and everyone else survives 20. That would be 110 rounds survived across all ships meaning the 10 rounds survived gets 9% of the loot. It would discourage players who would die on the first shot from the armada, but it would reward those who helped take the hits, but maybe couldn't dish out the damage. Could even split it something like 75-90% of the loot is survival based, and the rest is divided using the current damage based distribution. That way the big damage doers still get better rewards, but not at the cost of everyone else. An added bonus, is it lets larger players feel fine to come help smaller members without taking bulk of the loot.

You can test it very easily with a Sarco. Just put it together with regular ships at comparable power level in an armada. If it were DMG based you should get near to no loot.
Also if it were damage based on very close call armadas where some blow up in round one, those would also get near to no loot.

High health = survivability = more rounds = more damage dealt.

The better way would be 2 identical ships and research hit an armada, while one has a higher attack Stat and the other more defence. Then calculate who got what based on the log

@crisp dome @north perch only devs I see online. Is there any reason for this battlelog change? Before we could use a count in the first group to see if it was an armada or a normal battle. An armada was always 1 (the armada itself), but now the player is added up there then we can't differentiate between the two as the count will always be 2.

The only way I see now is to use IsArmada? in the combat itself, however that will only work in English unless handling all languages and honestly, that's a hacky work around anyway. and cc @tacit obsidian

you argument would make sense only if one of the ships blow up during armada, all the ships survived for what I remember from the videos, so all the ship had the chance to damage the armada at the best they can
also considering criticals and officers abilities, ships damage can vary dramatically from armada to armada, so calculations done before the armada would give potentially very different results than the actual outcome, and as I stated ultimadjz got almost exactly the same result than the actual outcome calculated by the game

Power feels even worse, since it doesn't always represent how well a ship will do, since Officers are such a critical component. Heck running PMC after all on an upper end armada that you and identical power ships can handle, but distribution by Power would get you an equal share.

Really over the randomness of Actian hostiles. Sometimes exos activate, sometimes they don't; sometimes all 3 types spawn, sometimes they don't; sometimes an Apex spawns, etc. I don't know if it is buggy or if there is rng overkill baked in, but it is not fun.

@tacit obsidian Plese clean up the player/alliance leaderboards after incursions or, at the very least, add a toggle that only includes the people on your own server. Would improve recruiting and, indirectly, server retention by helping alliances find players, recruit them, and keeping them engaged.

Well as a positive when you get your free rod you get a really good treasury. The £89.99 treasury is based off of 1 of 3 packs at 1.5x the value with the shards and other stuff as extras
