im sure I've probably set this up wrong but I have different tickets and was hoping they would open in their assigned categories instead of at the top of the server... but they are not opening in there categories is anyone else getting this error

Hello, I made a dropdown style ticket panel and made 2 categories, one being "questions" and the other one being "purchase" whenever someone makes a ticket they all goo into the same category so I can't understand if they want to purchase something or just ask a question, is there a way to sort them out somehow?

3. Select the panel you want to grant access to
4. Open the Category options menu
5. Select the categories of your preference
6. Save changes

How to mention the support role?
1. Go into your Dashboard
2. Open your Panel Configs tab
3. Select the panel you want to ping your support on
4. Open the Ticket options menu
5. Click on Edit Ticket Message
6. In the Message Content use one of the role mention syntax (**{@Role Name}**/**{Role ID}**)
7. Save changes
Note: For this to work properly, Ticket Tool requires the Mention Everyone permission. Or the role must have the Allow anyone to @mention this role setting enabled

Yes, enable transcripts
1. Go into your Dashboard
2. Open your Panel Configs tab
3. Select the panel you want to grant access to
4. Open the Transcript options menu
5. Using the Transcript Channel selector, pick the channel you want your transcripts to be sent to

how do i set it up
First you will want to invite the bot to your server. Once the bot is in your server, you can manage your server in the dashboard.
To create a panel we are going to need to head over to the panel configs on the dashboard.
Once at the dashboard we will need to click Create Panel.
Enter a panel name (Fill in any optional settings you want).
Click Create Panel and your ready to get started with configuring your panel.
An example of a creating a panel is shown below.
Once you've created a panel on the dashboard you will need to send it to a channel using send on the dashboard.
Select the channel you want your panel to be created in and click send.

The ticket name is the default channel name of all tickets. To edit it, go to your Dashboard > Panel Configs > Ticket. There you can edit the channel name of opened and closed tickets. You can also use variables in there.

if you disable “auto add team” it wont ping them in the thread.
Thanks - however I have found that despite giving the role permissions to "Manage Threads" in order to see the thread, but not get pinged by it, that role still cannot see the thread off that channel. Said role has permissions to manage threads both on the ticket channel itself, and also on the category the ticket lives in.

The ticket name is the default channel name of all tickets. To edit it, go to your Dashboard > Panel Configs > Ticket. There you can edit the channel name of opened and closed tickets. You can also use variables in there.

I’m a bit new to using tickettool, I was wondering if there’s something I can enable so when a member clicks on the “create ticket” button it asks for confirmation, I frequently get tickets where the person who opened the ticket opened it on accident so i’m not sure if there’s any feature like that, thank you so much in advance!

Forms can be enabled under Panel Settings > Form Options > Edit Forms Options. In the new pop-up window, you can now enable and edit your own Form.
You can add up to 5 questions in the Discord form. This is a Discord limitation. Each question can have a placeholder in the input field, a minimum and maximum input, multi-line, and also the option to have the answer required.

Required ➞ If enabled, the user has to answer this question, to submit the form

The Drop-down menu or Select Menu replaces the buttons on your panel message and uses a drop-down menu with all of your panels. To set this up, go to your Panel Configs and select your main Panel.
First you enable Select Style. Then you add an item in the Dropdown Editor. Now you can start editing your dropdown!
Each line in the dropdown editor represents a line in the drop down menu on discord. You can add more "Items", by clicking on 

First you select a panel. That's the panel this option will open a ticket for.
DONT select the same panel twice. Each option should have a different Panel 
After that, you can put a Display. This is the title of this option and will appear in the drop down menu. The *Description can be set right after that, which will be below the title in grey.
Additionally you can select an emoji, that will be shown in front of each option. You can either manually input the ID of an emoji or select it in the selector.

- Option doesn't show up? Check if two options have the same panel in the DropDown Editor

I have some channels used for tickets before I got the bot and I wanted to get transcripts
1. Go into your Dashboard
2. Open your Panel Configs tab
3. Select the panel you want to grant access to
4. Open the Transcript options menu
5. Using the Transcript Channel selector, pick the channel you want your transcripts to be sent to
6. Save changes

To access the server on the dashboard, you should either have the Administrator permission (not to be confused with just a role called “admin”) or a Dashboard role
Any role you put there will have full access to the ticket tool dashboard. The server owner and users with admin permissions already have access to the dashboard.

How do I combine multiple panel in 1 support ticket?
For more convenient use of multipanels, you can now combine panels on the dashboard. This will allow you to directly send the multipanel from the dashboard or via the $panel ID command.
You can find this setting on the Dashboard -> Panel Configs -> Panel -> Attached Panels
Note: if you're attaching all the panels to a panel called English, don't include English in the attached panel's box (If you do this, it will create a duplicate)
This will put all buttons from all of your panels on one message. The message is the panel message from the panel you're combining these panels in.

I was searching posts that said "multiple choice" and looking for anything about multiple choice questions in the form. I just wanna point out that when Rigbone asked about multiple choice questions in a ticket tool, the answer WhiteWolf gave was not answering the question, the "answer" was irrelevant to the question at hand. #🆘│community-support message
Rigbone's question was about having multiple choice answers to a question in a ticket, most likely in form tickets where you have to fill in an answer to a question to open a ticket. The question was NOT about having multiple buttons or a dropdown on an embed.

From what I could see, no, you can't have multiple choice answers in a ticket form, there is only an option for open ended fill-in questions, which is disappointing because I want to be able make it so when users want to report someone, they must select from a list of reasons in order to open that ticket(to prevent users from just saying whatever without a valid reason to report).
It’s because Discord hasn’t implemented multiple choice options into models yet
There is a forms bot called "Fluffy" which is able to have multiple-choice answers to select from in a question, just an example that it is possible and has been done. 1st screenshot here is the editor, and the last 2 are from the GUI of a question:
That’s not multiple choice inside the modal though
It’s physically impossible to have it inside the modal because it’s not possible through Discord’s API
Do the devs have to limit themselves to only having it in the modal though? Why not let forms use those "ephemeral"(or whatever it's called) messages?
Because that's not how the API works
But the other bot uses those "ephemeral" messages as shown in the screenshot above. They don't limit themselves to only opening the fill-in boxes, they use these ephemeral messages with a GUI of embeds, drop-downs, and buttons for you to navigate a questionnaire and fill it out.
"Because that's not how the API works" is not a good enough reason to not do it, I've seen other bots do it and there's no reason Ticket Tool shouldn't do it too. Whatever works should be doable, and that works. Excuses for not doing it does not convince me because I've seen it done and used those GUIs myself. At this point y'all are limiting yourselves.

Any role you assign as a blacklisted role won't be able to use commands or reactions.
Go to your Dashboard ➞ Server Configs. There you will find the option to select blacklisted roles.

Are you seeing this message when you use a Ticket Tool command in a channel? It may be because the bot is missing permissions in that channel.
Try the following:
- Right-click the channel, select Edit Channel, then Permissions
- Scroll down to Advanced Permissions and add Ticket Tool there
- Make sure that View Channel and Send Messages are
for Ticket Tool
- Save the changes
- In the channel, use the /debug command to check for any other missing permissions
- If needed, go back to the Permissions menu and grant Ticket Tool any missing permissions
- Retry using the command you wanted to use and confirm that it works properly now.#

3. Select the panel you want to ping your support on
4. Open the Ticket options menu
5. Click on Edit Ticket Message
6. In the Message Content use one of the role mention syntax (**{@Role Name}**/**{Role ID}**)
7. Save changes
Note: For this to work properly, Ticket Tool requires the Mention Everyone permission. Or the role must have the Allow anyone to @mention this role setting enabled

I'm using it for a guild application system and I want a system where my recruiters can choose either accept or reject, and if they accept, a certain role will be added to the ticket owner, and if they reject, the ticket owner will get kicked from my server, with maybe a personal DM of why they were rejected.

Hey there,
You can use custom commands to have ticket tool send an automated response, you could have one for accepted and one for denied.
Unfortunately there’s no way to have ticket tool take other actions when this command is run, such as adding roles or kicking a member like you want. That would have to be done manually.
You can however add a close dm, this is editable in Dashboard > Panel Configs> Messages > Edit Closed DM and this can be used in conjunction with the {close.reason} variable to include the reason of why the ticket was closed, which can also include rejection.
Also, you can have ticket tool apply a role on ticket open and close which may prove useful
Thanks for this, but won't be useful since there's just 1 action available post-creation which is closing the ticket so either we reject or accept, we cannot add a role without putting another layer.
On the custom commands, how do you setup the trigger for sending the accepted or deny message?

Have you enabled command style?
Command Style Tickets allow you to open tickets VIA the $new or $ticket commands. This feature also allows you to open tickets for people, by using the aforementioned commands with the user's ping or ID.
You can enable this feature by heading over to your server's dashboard. Then head over to Panel Configs ➞ Settings ➞ Command Style Tickets. (GIF below shows you how to get to it as well).
- Bypass channel list and watch all of them → when you enable this option, Ticket Tool will create a ticket whenever someone uses the $new or the $ticket command in a channel it has access to .
- Channel to monitor for command $new and $ticket → This is the opposite of the previous option, you can actually select in which channels Ticket Tool should look for the $new command instead of looking in the whole server.
- Delete command after creating ticket → If enabled, Ticket Tool will delete the command (whether it's
$newor$ticket) a few seconds after you run it.
how do you set the bot up
First you will want to invite the bot to your server. Once the bot is in your server, you can manage your server in the dashboard.
To create a panel we are going to need to head over to the Panel Configs Tab on the Dashboard.
Once at the dashboard we will need to click Create Panel.
Enter a panel name (Fill in any optional settings you want).
Click Create Panel and you are ready to get started with configuring your panel.
An example of a creating a panel is shown below.

The permissions you define will be assigned to the new ticket only, future tickets opened by members will be able to send images : )

Unlike the regular Ticket Limit, the global limit will limit the amount of tickets a user can create at the same time for ALL Panels. When a ticket is closed again, the limit resets for that user.
To customize it head over to your Dashboard ➞ Server Configs ➞ Global Ticket Limit
Note: This is not a limit for how many tickets a user can open at all times or how many tickets you can have open on the server in total. This is just a limit per user for open tickets.

Make sure you’ve set permission for the correct panel and there’s nothing overriding it
And as 3v said, this permission change won’t apply retroactively to already open tickets

For more convenient use of multipanels, you can now combine panels on the dashboard. This will allow you to directly send the multipanel from the dashboard or via the $panel ID command.
You can find this setting on the Dashboard -> Panel Configs -> Panel -> Attached Panels
Note: if you're attaching all the panels to a panel called English, don't include English in the attached panel's box (If you do this, it will create a duplicate)
This will put all buttons from all of your panels on one message. The message is the panel message from the panel you're combining these panels in.

First, you should go back to the Dashboard > Transcript > Transcript channel > Select a channel to send transcripts to
If you want to place all tickets in a category, go to the Dashboard > Category > Category Created/Opened > Select a category
By default, only the ticket owner and the support team can view tickets and send messages
Ok that was gonna be my question. So if I just make a second channel under that support category noone will see those tickets aside from those selected as support?
Any ticket will only give access to the ticket owner and the support team

Is there a way to make the bot respond to itself in the same channel, before opening a new channel for the ticket? For instance, if I had a dropdown menu that for each selection, there was more information than could fit in the dropdown's description box, would I be able to have the bot send a private message in the same channel as the initial panel, with an additional panel, having the extra information fit into an embed? from the dashboard > panel configs > Automations. Here you can select some premium only settings that will DM a user under certain conditions.
Panel configs > transcript. Here you can select to DM the transcript on closed/delete. Again, this is a premium feature
alternatively, you can set a Custom Command on the dashboard, and use the “DM instead” (I’m believe that this would just DM the person who uses the command tho)

Are you seeing this message when you use a Ticket Tool command in a channel? It may be because the bot is missing permissions in that channel.
Try the following:
- Right-click the channel, select Edit Channel, then Permissions
- Scroll down to Advanced Permissions and add Ticket Tool there
- Make sure that View Channel and Send Messages are
for Ticket Tool
- Save the changes
- In the channel, use the /debug command to check for any other missing permissions
- If needed, go back to the Permissions menu and grant Ticket Tool any missing permissions
- Retry using the command you wanted to use and confirm that it works properly now.
