I've started a restart on the entire bot to bring resolve the recent duplicate issue.
Ticket Tool is running an update on a lot of old ticket data saved in the database, it can take up to an hour depending on how many voided tickets your server has.
Voided tickets should have been marked as deleted, but didn't get marked.
This generally happens if you manually delete tickets without using the bot delete action.
Once this process is finished your servers will run a lot quicker and the database requests will no longer get slowed down due to requesting unnecessary ticket data.
This process will be run on your server the next time a ticket is attempted to be created.
Some servers have been seen to have upwards of 100k voided tickets, these ones will be the server that take upwards of an hour to clear-out the voided tickets.
Our support server had about 100 voided tickets.
Starting August 16th discord will limit the number of channels that can be created per server to 500 each day.
To solve this issue I've released a new feature that will allow you to re-use ticket channels that would have been deleted.
re-used channels are cleared of all messages, permissions and stored in a new category to be used later. (if any of these fail, it will be deleted like normal)
Most of you will never notice this limit, even us here at Ticket Tool Support only do 100-200 tickets per day, but for those who will be affected we hope this solves the issue for you.

Hey everyone, we are really glad to announce that starting now all servers will be able to use Discord's modals (aka. forms) for your panels!
This feature will allow you to set up to 5 questions per panel, customizing the responses, placeholders and if it's a required field. The information given by the user will be accessible through a {create.form.X} variable usable in the ticket message.

This week Discord is starting to roll out the App Directory! If you have manage server permissions, you'll start to see this showing up in server settings.
We're really excited to tell you all that our app/Ticket Tool is one of the apps you'll see on the homepage. Also, we are one of a few apps that are part of the alpha for Premium App subscriptions - this means you can subscribe to Ticket Tool directly from Discord.

- [For Now] Subscriptions can not be switched from server to server
- Whichever bot you purchase a subscription from, you will need to keep in your server.

I'm sorry for the outages the last few days, we had a memory leak today that had to be fixed and unfortunately that required the entire system to be down to prevent us from hitting login rate limits.

Just got a chance to look into it, our hosting had an internet outage/glitch in one of their data centers causing alot of the bot to go down.
The premium bot and 250 or so primary shards are in another datacenter so didn't get affected.
The bot is currently fixing itself and is over 75% resumed.

There is an ongoing rate limit issue affecting few of our premium servers, our Development Team has been informed, we apologize to the affected servers for any inconvenience this may represent!
Discord has set a new rate limit of 50 channels every 16 minutes (1000s) we're looking into this, but there's not alot we can do..
Temp workaround: under server configs you will find an option labeled Server Storage Options this is a possible fix for servers who need to create over the rate limit as it re-uses the same channels multiple times instead of creating a new one.
This has 1 major downside and that is pings.. they don't get cleared when messages are deleted to re-use the channel.
I've been in contact with discord support and they're rolling back the rate limit, it wasn't intended.
Discord is currently having some api issues with bots, Ticket Tool seems to be affected.

We apologize for the unforeseen circumstances that took place between yesterday and today, our Development Team has been working to eradicate any remaining bugs which the update released last night may have brought, we believe the bot is back at full functionality, if you are experiencing any issues #🎫│make-a-ticket and our Support Team will investigate it further.
Among the improvements that got released with this update you may have noticed a new error handler! Prior to last night, the bot would omit applying any permission it is not capable of, now it will inform you which permissions it is missing in order for you to address the situation and have a troubleshoot situation upon ticket creation! We hope this helps you using the bot. We have also introduced support to handle the new Discord username system, we are also working on supporting display names in the bot soon!

This last update include a new change to transcripts among other backend changes, I've changed how we handle the direct transcript links.
- How did transcripts change?
- I added a button to the transcript message and removed the link.
- ** Why make this change?**
- Discord is adding more security to attachments, but this will cause the links we have to the transcripts to expire after a set amount of time, to handle/fix that I've added a button that will fetch the newest link when used.
- Can I customize the button?
- Not yet, but I want everything to be customizable.
The new Direct Link button no longer creates a message, instead it adds a link button so you're not forced to scroll to the new message.

Hello everyone!
We have some important updates regarding Ticket Tool and our premium services. Please read the following changes carefully:
Subscription Purchases through Discord:
You will no longer be able to purchase premium directly from the @fresh horizon (premium/gold) bot. However, you can still add it once you purchase premium from the @dreamy marsh (primary/white) bot, provided both bots are in the server.
The price for purchasing premium within Discord will now be $8 per month.
Dashboard and Payment Provider Updates:
Our dashboard now includes a new payment provider, Paddle.
For the next two months, we are offering a special rate of $6 per month or $66 per year through Paddle on the Ticket Tool dashboard. These prices are valid until October 7, 2024. After this date, all platforms will switch to $8 per month or $72 per year to comply with Discord's new policy.
We have improved the dashboard for easier billing management and server switching when purchasing a subscription from our website.

Missing premium
Discord's recent update to the billing system is causing subscriptions to end during renewal, even though payments are taken. Discord is aware and working on a fix.
Temp fix
If your premium was removed, open a ticket for temporary premium while we wait for Discord's fix. Please provide:
- Your server ID
- The user ID of the person who purchased the missing premium.
Discord has fixed this issue, all subscription effected should be working like normal.
Update:
The pricing for Ticket Tool Premium has been updated on all payment methods (Discord, website, etc.) to be compliant with Discord.

One of the servers hosting Ticket Tool's Redis server had a hdd failure, causing a wide spread error message to be spammed on servers, we've located the issue and should have the bot back up and running shortly.
I've also made a change to prevent the bots error messages from being sent like this again.. No more spam..

The team over at https://blox.link has removed the Global api to comply with Discord's requests and it's been shifted to a per-server api, each server using blox.link will now need to request an API key in order to utilize the integration.
I plan to get the updates necessary for this API change implemented soon so we can start using the new api keys.

Recently Ticket Tool has started to grow faster then ever anticipated, Part of Ticket Tool's core is having a hard time keeping up with the ever expanding servers joining us, Due to this Ticket Tool might have to disable new servers joining in the near future to allow the servers that are already on it to continue working.
An update to Ticket Tool is underway to allow it to expand across multiple host servers (vps/dedicated) to keep up with the expanding user base.
The recent outages are due to the increased user activity in discord running into bottle necks and inefficient code in the core of Ticket Tool that unfortunately can't be entirely fixed without a major rewrite that might take some time.
To help keep Ticket Tool online and functioning properly auto closing/deleting of tickets has been disabled, and Transcripts have been limited to 200 messages to help combat the api limits and server load. I have no eta on when these will be put back to normal.
Ticket Tool will be going offline in proximality 15 minutes to perform an update to help combat the rate limit.

Bot restarted to fix the dashboard issues
Starting a number of hours ago the dashboard went down due to our hosting provider, I've moved to a new hosting provider and changed our DNS over to Cloudflare - on top of the dashboard issue the bot locked up in a way that has never happened before causing the dashboard to lock up and I spent the last 4 hours trying to find the issue with the new server when it was in fact a new problem with the bot.

Oh do I got some updates to share with you.
1. Update on the Premium Bot. ( @fresh horizon )
About a week ago, we updated the premium to the clusters, into the new status page, and as well as our new shard manager.
We were noticing the bot was restarting about once to twice a day and that was not normal. So we investigated the issue and it seems that our fix has been successful.
2. Update on the Primary Bot. ( @dreamy marsh)
With the fix that seems to be working on the premium bot, we are now comfortable in pushing this update onto the primary bot. Which we have just done about 20-40 minutes ago and everything seems to be working great.
3. What is in this update?
You can see in our last announcement as well but in this update has an updated version of the “back-end” as well as integrating our new cluster system within our new shard manager.
We also have a new status page that is fully working with our clusters that was just released to the public (https://tickettool.xyz/status)
4. What should we be seeing in the future?
I hear this question a lot and this is a great question.
Right now, we will be monitoring closely on stability for both of the bots to ensure the best for all of our users. As well as work on improving transcripts.

Ticket Tool uses the Image attribute on messages to store what panel it belongs to (Bad way of doing it but that's how it is)
Discord is having issues and stopped sending the image data for embeds causing this outage. We are currently working to resolve this issue. Please bare with us as we attempt to resolve this issue. Currently, it seems that commands are functioning properly, so you may continue to utilize commands to continue use of the bot. The dashboard may be slow as we expect increased traffic due to this outage. This outage will be temporary, and we apologize for any inconveniences this may cause.

UPDATE: The temporary fix has been applied and is verified to be working as intended. Panel reactions for creating tickets ONLY has been fixed for the time being. All other reactions are still not functional at this time.
The issue has been fixed on discord's end. https://discordstatus.com/incidents/7q5czpsr1n0d. The issue was a problematic deploy of a server side update by discord to their servers. They hae resolved this issue at approximately 11:09 EST. As a result of this outage, a bug in Ticket Tool's coding has been revealed to us, and we will be pushing out a rewrite of Ticket Tool's code within the next couple weeks. We will advise of a date and time as we get closer. Thank you for your patience and cooperation during this outage. All services have been restored at this time.

Urgent Bot Update (01/23/2021)
Hello Ticket Tool Users,
About a few hours ago, Discord decided to do some updates to their permissions system for channel creation.
A quote from Night (Discord Staff)
Permission overwrites in the guild channel creation endpoint are now validated against the permissions your bot has in the guild. Permission overwrites specified in the request body when creating guild channels will now require your bot to also have the permissions being applied.
Setting MANAGE_ROLES permission in channel overwrites is only possible for guild administrators or users with MANAGE_ROLES as a permission overwrite in the channel.```
So, for the time being, you will need to give Ticket Tool administrator permission within your discord server for it to work. I can assure you the <@&773381045478621215> is doing everything we can to find another possible way to get Ticket Tool working without ``ADMINISTRATROR`` permission. I will state that we have already began testing.
We will have an update for this issue within the next 10 hours.

Hello Users of Ticket Tool,
A lot of you have noticed that the primary bot has been going offline more and more each day.
First, I would like to apologize about all the outages and inconveniences they might have caused. My #1 priority is to assure member satisfaction and at this time, I have failed and I am truly sorry about that.
Over the past 3-4 days, the <@&773381045478621215> has been looking and looking into fixes for this problem. At this time, we have asked some of the biggest bot devs for some help, one of the Discord Staff members talk to us about it, and nothing.
We are currently looking into reaching to our server provider and seeing if their network is causing our outages.
I like to keep you all informed as much as I know, and currently, that is all we know until we contact them tomorrow.
Again, I truly apologize for these recent outages and am sorry for the inconvenience they have caused.

Our server with our database is down and has been down. Sadly, there is nothing we can do about this. The hosting provider is currently having problems and we will be looking for something to prevent this problem for the future.

BattleEye has been working on implying our latest backup into a new server, we have ran into some difficulties there which we are also trying to work out which we just did. As well as the hosting provider also states they are working on the system as well.
Now I have personally gotten 500 dms today about TT being down, concerns, etc. I would like to formally say, all of our systems are backed up daily. As well as I’ll say it again, We have no control over this outage! this was all because of our provider.
Again, we sincerely apologize for the inconveniences today. We will find a way to make it up to all of you as I can not express how sincerely sorry I am for the frustrations and difficulties.

At this time the website, https://botsfordiscord.com API is down due to some attacks. When you vote, it is stored in their database, but it will not go to your vote count within the $vote command.

I would like to clarify on the updates made to the transcripts.
Discord updated what files they preview, and now .html, .txt, .js and other files like our Transcripts auto preview the first 6 lines of the file, we can't disable this..
The update I made was so instead of showing 6 lines of pointless source code it shows some useful info instead. (Some people thought this was an April fools joke)

- Option for claiming to block access to using commands/buttons when claimed

- Reactions don't auto remove anymore, you need to replace them with buttons. (resend panels)
- Select options no longer sort themselves on the dashboard (selecting multiple categories.. etc..)
- Close confirm has changed to a message instead. (are you sure you want to close this ticket)
- Updated command style tickets to use $ticket or $new
- Updated the speed at which everything happens with the bot, tickets create, close, open and claim faster.
- Updated transcripts to use a new system that better handles discords formats and supports replies.
Notes:
* Before too long reactions will be 100% disabled and no longer function (might be a month, might be a week)
* All old tickets will still function using reactions for awhile. (see above)
* old tickets will always work with commands even when reactions get removed
The option for Keep Visible has been replaced with a full control option under permissions..
To get the same affect as keep visible simple change your everyone role permissions to allow reading.

This outage has been resolved.
Premium servers will now save a copy of image attachments inside transcripts (base64) so they will no longer get deleted by discord.
This will potentially increase the file size of transcripts depending on the number of images as it's embedding a copy of the image into itself.
This may eventually be a free feature, but until I can monitor the impact it has on my servers it will remain premium only.
Update. Discord has an 8mb file attachment limit, I've added a limit into the transcript for image saving, it will try and save images until it reaches the 8mb limit, after that it will skip them.
