I'm playing on PC via xbox gamepass.
Both my slots got corrupted today. The fix provided on Reddit didn't help.
Whenever I'm replacing the new save file with an old one, It just loads a fresh one like it hasn't been replaced at all.

I think they plan to do just that, things get cut for release and then get implemented at a later date all the time, sure it sucks but that's just how it works these days. They're just greatful they could release their project in the first place coming from nothing to where they are now.

Stabilization, optimization, and bug-fixing is going to be an ongoing process as they continue adding/tweaking stuff. They probably won't stop until the game is fully "complete" i.e. all content that ever will be officially added has been added.

Not to be dismissive of your experience or deny that the game has issues, (it 100% does) but I can't help but wonder sometimes if some of the issues people are experiencing are their own fault.

People do stupid shit to their PCs, don't take care of them, don't do maintenance, don't clean them, don't do system/software/driver updates, run weird-ass third-party software, etc. and then wonder why everything runs like ass.

from all my 300+ hours of stalker 2 i've crashed one time (excluding that horrendous shader compilation bug that was happening when the game launched/first patches) and the crash was probably because of some mod i was using at the time

I am not a hater, but I have genuinely not seen it working, it would be nice if it worked.
the most thing that buggs me is a lack of quests. I have found like 100 PDAs no joke, with a story there that might have lead to a quest.
For example the main Freedom guy Mikluha or how you spell it, there are so many mentions of him in PDAs or a couple of other NPCs
but he himself does not talk, nor...nothing??

It does, and that sounds cool, but also a bit of a shame. A-life in previous titles wasn't anything super in-depth, more like a way of checking in on NPCs with your PDA and letting the player see familiar names in places they'd expect to see them. But it's become so synonymous with Stalker for me to be able to run into Stalkers you've met before that it feels lame to think they're just like any random NPC in other games now, despite offline a-life never having been that in-depth to begin with afaik.
