• not currently no, balancing weapons would require us to look into much more than armor changes, there are more systems tied to it.
  and here is real answer:
• we have setup weapon balance with a 100m render range and max engagement of 100m in mind, for usefull weapon ranges we need to remove the bottleneck that is render distance for certain upgrades and weapons before we look at more in depth stuff of them

For sure, I mean there’s plenty of differences between X-Ray and Unreal.. but in S2, there’s definitely more bloom when hip firing.

to track your target at close range something like a pistol or SMG is best simply because you can aim it faster

The game is not half of what they advertised earlier, stealth isn't working properly, A-life is no where near it need to be(at the moment it's just a spawner), though I admit the game already have many side quests, many regions feel empty due to the lack of them quests and they serve nothing other than a place for you to find loots, making the game more bloated than it need to.

Seriously Im not a fan of how they handle veteran mode.
I have no problem with everything being more expensive, harder to get, enemies do more damage or my stuffs wear down faster, but seeing everything I collected have halves prices when selling to traders is so painful.
And this mean I'm gonna have to spend x2-x3 times doing whatever I can to get more coupons, so I'm just gonna swap to stalker difficulty whenever I sell something and back to Veteran when I want to buy something.

Yes, everything you sell to traders(weapons and armor traders) have less than 50% their normal prices, while the stuff you get from traders is about 25% more expensive.
I'm not sure about repair and upgrade cost but I'm going to check it out.

Certain weapon upgrades help, there is armor that really helps with carry weight. But fastest method is to get weird water in Zaton.

When you leave the Lesser Zone there are two ways to go east to the Cordon. The Eastern Checkpoint when you leave Zalissya on the Eastern road. Or through the Decontamination Center to the far, far south.

• I regret paying 180k of coupons upgrading the Cuirass, even with the mod that allows sprinting, it still 💩, it require 4 blueprints for maximum upgrades while being something you might never need,only 2 lead containers and 1 of it require a blueprint that you can only find at endgame,look very good though.
