The thing is, I don't see how UE5 couldn't do it, considering that the "Offline" A-Life in the original trilogy was effectively just a spreadsheet running calculations in the background.

Of course, I pointed this out, but they said that I'm wrong, claiming that "The original offline simulation was far far more than just a spreadsheet. Eh. My guess is a couple things. One is that the launch made them reevaluate their schedule with the bugs reported. Two is the game ended up being pretty successful and the studio leadership has said that will let them do more post-launch work than they originally planned. Those two together probably mean whatever idea for a roadmap they had before quickly became out of date.

And scoping out all that work and determining a rough schedule is a big task in itself

You looked at all the stashes with loot and concluded that they are way more meaningful than stalker 2's stashes. But you did not take into account the fact that when you find a stash by yourself (without a marker), it is always empty. Meaning that if you try to be curious and explorative and manage to find a hidden stash, it will contain absolutely no reward, which is even worse than Stalker 2. S2 always has some sort of reward in any stash that you find, be it marked or not.

As for SoC and CS you're correct; stashes would be empty unless you got their coordinates first. I didn't take that into account because I didn't feel that it was relevant to my point.

as more than a month has gone by , I would expect a "patch" not just a "hotfix" with 5 fixes. Also I think the wording "hotfix" is incorrectly used. I would define hotfix as a I have released a patch and it broke something, and I release " hotfix" in 1-2 day max.

frame generation was fine when you already had stable fps, for example 80-100fps going to 150 bc of frame generation. but the idea to have ~20 fps that turns into 200+ bc of dlss, just sound like visual mess. thouse who dont understand, frame generation just adds new frames in between real frames. for example. 60 fps, between each frame the gpu takes both frames and creates a 3rd one in between. this looks good usually, but the less fps you have, the bigger the time between the frames get, and therefore the ai created frames get less accurate. imagine a guy walking, on snow. and suddently, there is one footprint missing, itll be easy to calculte where the missing footprint should be, based on the footpring before and after the one you want to create. now imagine 6 footprints missing. itll be alot harder to calculate where each one would be, so there is obviously gonna be some mistakes in there. am a bit tired, so if my explaining was bad, im sorry
