actually, on LG OLED C4 screen with low latency game mode, and turned on Nvidia REFLEX, i don't have problems using FG. It is meant for single player, it's totally fine for an fps game too..

i have plenty of games where i max out the 144hz with 144fps, without any DLSS nor FG, and it's looks like the same. Never noticed any ghosting effects in the moving parts of the screen, only on the fixed HUD elements if you rushing your mouse like a braindead.
So on my side, i give a vote for FG and DLSS3 Quality setting( most of the games it's looks way better than nativ 4K, for example Starfield!

My prev card was an Asus ROG 3080, that made a really loud cw, hated that card. Now i waited for tests, and again the asus cards made the worst CW in the 4090 palette.
So this Gigabyte Gaming OC edition is pretty silent, even the cooling is superb. I undervolted the card, it maximazes the consumption at 400W in very demanding games and i lost 2% performance only, my temps only went up to 70ish range with silent fan profile!

But if framegen works well, that might help. So far having very mixed results with FSR framegen. It will in time. Every game that does Pre-Order exclusives that dont resell them later gets mods for them to bring them back in the game. Besides there will be mods that probably do what the content does, but more anyway. I bet GSC will allow you to get them though after that game comes out regardless. Most games do that these days anyway.

I will play Stalker 2 on Master or whatever the hardest difficulty setting it has on release for a few reasons. 1. Im already used to these types of games, 2. I can comfortably search for the challenging aspect in this type of game, 3rd I already got into the habit of save scumming because of the trilogy, and 4th, because i bet there will be an achievement for completing the game on the hardest difficulty haha.

I think their intention was to make gear feel tiered. So as you played / grinded more, you would go up noticeably in tiers. It would feel rewarding. But I never worried about it because since SoC is the first game, the economy is notoriously easy to break. I literally never have to grind for any armors or weapons during my playthroughs. You get access to so much stuff in the second half of the game its so easy to break it.

This was my experience too. Find a weapon you think is cool, and just upgrade it and rock through the game with it. I do remember grinding in CS for weapon / armor mods though haha. Fun times. I would wait every in game day for the bandits to respawn at the stalker base in Agroprom and clear out both sides, sell all their stuff rinse and repeat lmao
