also I dont believe that you will be able to outright join any factions in S2. You can work with them and build reputation but it isnt like clear sky where you join one and fight their wars.. we will see though

you can have relation changes with factions in any game without outright joining them. Use call of pripyat as an example, you could do work for, gain favor and eventually become allies with duty or freedom, but you never outright join them because it isnt part of the narrative, at the end of the day degtyarev was a government agent with a mission, becoming a svoboda fanatic is against his character's reason for existing in the story

the old games had these basic kind of like, Quake or Doom deathmatch network modes, It will likely be the same, Maybe with artefact hunt on top of it but it was just TDM/FFA with a treasure hunt mode on a small slice of a map, get cash for kills and treasure to buy new gear in that round, highest points wins the round, and thats it, thats the end of the complexity,

not too sure on how the engine works, but certain story/side mission decisions or outcomes, could also result in a faction moving into a new area, and more fights happening in that region, showing something like a conflict between 2 or more clans

& for the devs to not totally embrace their new enfusion engine ala Reforger for DayZ to idk make it feel like it's not a decade old I think is silly. The new map is cool (for console players) but the core game has so many issues, for example zombie rework was promised last year or so because fighting them has been ass forever and then rescinded with no further word. Like just continuing to add mid content to the dead horse instead that pales in comparison to what modders churn out

so many DayZ clones have come out over the years and somehow they have all sucked so much harder (or gone totally different direction ala Rust) I'd love for some other competent Dev to try because man I love DayZ but I wish it would take more after like project zomboid as actually being this zombie survival sim, the PVE is almost non-existent so no wonder people just turn it into PUBG kos

First the map says that there is like 9 military guys surrounded by zombies and mutants

then I get the quest from Forester and they all disappear and the military duplicates

Then they hide in only one section of the base, when they clearly could still beat anybody who comes near if they went back into their towers and guarded the bridge

Did you know when you first enter the AW, and if you DON'T talk to the NPC you are supposed to talk to first, that you can go the Military Base and it will be full of Zombies? You can kill them and get a lot of 5.45 BP ammo. Only when you talk to the designated NPC on your PDA, do the Zombies get replaced by Military.

I never really had bugs in SoC. CS I had one where I wouldn't get the next mission but that was for the bandits, and loading a save before I took the mission which led up to the issue. That was the only bug I had. Crashes were more of an issue for me in CS.
