If you are with Clear Sky when they take the Machine Yard, they will reward you with CS-1 armor.

That must have gotten changed in a patch. Not the first time that rewards have changed. Originally CS gave you the CS-1 for helping with the bridge to Limansk. That was changed with a gun.

Originally Clear Sky gave the CS-1 suit for taking the Bridge to Limansk. Then GSC realized this was a bad idea, since by the time you get the CS-1, the Player has far better armor. A classic case of too little too late. So, it was swapped with the FT-200M reward and you now get the gun instead. Another bad idea since they weapon really needs to be upgraded to be peak usefulness, as most Players had already decided what their favorite weapons were. I am unsure how the 1.5.10 patch changed all these variables from earlier patches. By the time the 1.5.10 patch came out, most people were playing Call of Pripyat or other Mods.

Little did we know, GSC hired some clowns to translate the version released in 2010 who did a bad job on several names. We got Rogue that was changed to Strider. We got Vobla (a local fish) that the 2010 translators said people wouldn't understand so it was changed to Tuna. When the 2010 translators saw Garik, they said that wasn't a good name so it was changed to Gary. The GSC Forums community did a much better job than the 2010 people GSC hired. That's just my opinion. I played that version for many years with its two patches (it needed two more) so when they 2010 version was released it was already patched.

That is the one that got changed to Gary because the translators GSC hired had no experience with the games, and they decided Garik was too weird and Gary was better. For example my favorite Achievement is the "Hand of Balance" that I believe was changed to "Man of Balance".

I always felt like the Crazed Stalker at the Freedom base was a better choice for what happened to Scar. This was based on the damage Lebedev told Scar he had to his nervous system. When the Monolith tried to brainwash Scar it failed and made him crazy. Much more logical than Charon.

My theory suggested that. It failed because scar was not vulnerable to psi emissions. He faked his brainwash and ran off the moment he could.
The other theory is that he passed out after the emission and woke up later to end up going into the shadows, and eventually becoming spark after the appearance of SIRCAA

I think it works in order to regenerate artifacts (which decay outside the Zone) they will have to use that thing that Skif carries, which will regenerate the artifact and unleashes anomalies as a product, however i do believe that it is only possible inside the Zone and that the anomaly we see outside the zone is the one in the truck trailer enter the zone which is outside the perimeter wall
