you're best bet is to upgrade to a 3080 at this point. EVGA 3080s are pretty boss (were?).....but there is a large jump to the 4090. however, when you upgrade to a 4090, you'll likely get CPU bound....so you'll end up pulling a trigger on a new CPU. The 3080 + R7 7800X3D (AM5) would be my recommendation.

that's actually a great observation as far as NPCs go. I would have expected starfield to knock it out of the park....NPC AI wise. I think it's because NPC AI is VERY cpu intensive...and all of the logical/decision trees for say a GPT type AI would be amazing, but not sure how to get that into a game, YET.

Heck, Oblivion AI was smarter than Skyrim AI, it was actually dumbed down because of the memes.

Not saying it's not going to be a good game....I'm excited to see more of the game....but I'm not holding my breath that it will be a true "next gen" experience, because as some have said....leveraging new hardware is hard to do...and Stalker 2 has been in development for a long while now. Integrating/implimenting newer hardware/technologies may or may not have happened. EX. DLSS/Frame Generation (though I feel it will be there)

all of the best memories in these case for me were caused by bugs. One of my favorites is a bug with Chimera hunting mission in Zaton. NPCs were warning to be quiet and scaring how Chimeras can smell you from miles away... they immeaditely go guns blazing at nearby boars

It's a system where NPCs and mutants will roam around by themselves and sometimes fight each other without the influence of the player, this is calculated offline (out of player's view) as well, there will be lairs where humans will camp and where mutants will stay since they are territorial.

This also counts events too (emissions), and respawn points too, as well as scripted events too such as factions taking over certain places thanks to the player and changing the A-Life system too
