i did QA work back in the day, i was in there getting things collected and returned to devs to fix, and there's been plenty of times where everything was going smooth and then out of nowhere one fix breaks 20 other things, and that's just for a small scale game, things of this size and on an engine they aren't all that familiar with will understandably cause unexpected pushbacks
