I would usually recommend OGSR GA, it's very good

Atmosfear, absolute nature, absolute structures. The SoC version. There are version of these for CS, CoP, and CoC.

I finished two playthroughs with the gunslinger mod, it was very fun

SOC is the only game I can tolerate enough to play unmodded

1. OGSR GA for SOC
2. ABR for CS
3. Gunslinger for CoP

Really? I didn't find COP that bad, actually sunk like 40 hours into it in a aweek, it's the one that introduced the series to me and MAN did I make the most of it. Well other than the fact that I never beat it but we don't need to talk about that part

Something about it makes it hard for me to get into

I have already preordered the Ultimate Edition on steam and check daily for the Physical Ultimate so I can get all the cool stuff and support the devs becaue GSC is the only game Studio I feel I can actually like, truly ther duality of man

With the System Shock remake I was able to make a decision on that thanks to playing the game demo
I liked it and trusted the studio so I pre ordered the game

I KNOW I know, and I never do, like EVER especially after the Saints Row reboot disaster and even then I never did the moot expensive stuff, but I feel I'd treat myself and get some really cool stuff since this is a series I actually love a lot and the devs actually care about their games and community PLUS they have slammed out only bangers for this series, so I think it's fair to say that this isn't actually that bad of an investment, unlike ALOOT of other games out there

I got no issue with gamma as long as folks don't push it as the real stalker YT creators will tell people to just play gamma instead of the trilogy

Basically put, the OG games don't get as much attention as the mods

I don't really blame them since anomaly has minimal requirements and is free to play
