the GC is the most expensive rn but the CPU can also be expensive if you aim high, you can save if you buy a Motherboard that still gives bang but for a lesser buck,the PSU should be preem from a trusted source and the ram should also be from a trusted source but you can modulate,you can find some good deals for 3200mhz with 16 gigs

CS feels that way initially because it literally requires you to mod your weapons. Iirc devs went with the way of thinking "SoC weapons are too good, how about we make them worse and to have them good again you need to upgrade them?" and so they created the weapons mod system.
Get past that initial sense of not hitting anything and the game will gets great.
If by chance you still don't like it, get the SRP patch running and install the Alternate Ballistic mini mod included in it.
