Probably because when you play the game in rookie for the first time you die a lot and on later playthroughs you might play on higher difficulties and have gained more skill and this might make you think that master is easier.

Oh guys Idk Im not so sure now that if it was a bug or not because I found ||a flashdrive from a dead Stalker in military warehouses he was called Crazy and even though he was dead and Marked One never talked to him, he still has a Personal Note that says that Crazy told him the times when theres low emissions from the Scorcher and how he can wait it out at a safe place so that his psi protection can work since it works with lower emissions anyway. || That could be the reason why his health was depleting so rapidly. I must have missed the low emissions window since my ||prototype psi helmet|| can only tolerate lower emissions

Windows Vita Compatability mode is a failure; same result is happening but in that mode everytime I try and start a New Game, the screen goes black and loops the last sound heard for a minute before going to the loading screen to crash at Prefetching.

Hey I'm gonna play SoC for the first time and I'm trying to figure out what mods to get. I want something that isn't going to change the game too much gameplay wise or diverge from its artstyle (Autumn aurora) but also improve the alife system. I'm thinking of going with Xpresstuning's remaster mod but I don't think it touches alife.

It seems like AMK has the most comprehensive alife from what I can tell but it seems like it adds a lot of unnecessary things. (I think I'm ok with adding artifact detectors though for any of the mods)

Yeah, do not mod it at all if this is your 1st time playing it man, I mean it’s up to you like but you should definitely play it unmodded for your 1st time playing, then I like to recommend Gunslinger mod for SoC and CoP but fair warning, it adds a fair bit to difficulty and also makes Burers the most OP mofo to exist.

Then for a proper overhaul mod I’d most definitely go with Radiophobia 3.

If you haven't then please do it. What it does is it smooths out your games and you get the benefit of that without being locked to 60fps like you are if you choose Vsync in-games.

This way vsync gets applied globally on all games thorugh nvidia control panel

And so then you always choose to disable vsync in all game menus since you already have it enabled through nvidia control panel

Its always been recommended by nvidia card enthusiasts on reddit so I just go by that. And they also recommend if you have a high refresh rate monitor that uses GSync then limit your fps by 3 frames.

Apparently its all recommended by Nvidia themselves but thats more in the direction of Gsync monitor owners.

Last is making sure your color depth is set properly to get your max vibrant colors for your display, thats under Disply > Change Resolution at the bottom where it says Output Color Depth choose the highest bpc and press Apply or Ok

and that should be it for your best gaming experience

Yeah so according to nvidia they say to limit your frame rate to a few frames below your max display frame rate, and to enable Vsync globally, so that all of this goes the smoothest gameplay experience provided by GSync and nvidia GPUs

yeah my monitor does HDR too but subpar. So I turn it off since if your display has not so good HDR its a negative enabling it compared to enabling it on a high scoring HDR display.

CoP exploration is useless after first playthrough. With a game that features non-linear quest resolution the rest of gameplay is literally the same. The preset stash system ruins any sense of natural gear progression on subsequent playthroughs, and lack of any meaningful simulation (as npcs don’t move between locations and are highly restricted in their actions) results in no unique scenarios like in other two games.

playing SoC for the first time while I wait for some quest fixes in Stalker 2. I am at the little settlement north of the starting town just before the bridge. There is a broken part of a building where I can see an artifact and there is an anomaly blocking it. I am throwing a bolt through it but it seems to come back crazy fast, faster than I can get through the hole in the wall. Am I missing something?

It is a little puzzle but if you want to know ||You can shoot the artifact with a gun to push it, then maneuver to grab it through the other side from within the building. It is kinda tricky to do though and artifacts are a dime a dozen in SoC||

Dropped items don't despawn as quickly as bodies so if you're desperate and feeling risky you can drop your stuff and run for your life to sell and come back

My advice. SoC is maybe hard with the no repairs system, but if u keep somewhere one version of ur best armor / best weapons. Its really easy to loot/ make money in that game. Dont loose to muche time to go back and go back. Just let some stuff on the floor leave them to the others stalkers

It is and it isnt. There are some core bugs that still aren't patched like reloading a save while crouched in an object will cause you to get stuck, and it's hard to teach people how to abuse console.
But in terms of general stability v1.6 feels far less stable then if I were to take my cd copy and upgrade it to 1.5

Hey, so when I went to Yantar Production Complex in Yantar I was hit with the insanity debuff where like ghost dogs follow and hurt you or whatever. are acquired in the Agroprom the gate opens in Garbage to Rostok
and Wolf leaves the Rookie Village headed to the Army Warehouses.

How to track Wolf:

1. Do everything in the Garbage Level for the first time but do
   not go to the Agroprom yet. Return to the Cordon and meet Wolf.
2. Take one of the two 24-hour missions from Wolf like the Boar one
   across the road or the other one to clear the Mutants out of an area.
3. Do not do Wolf's mission. Go immediately as fast as you can out
   of the Cordon and into Garbage. Sprint through Garbage straight to
   the Agroprom. Ignore meeting Mole and getting close to that building.
4. Do not do the Agroprom Underground. Instead go straight to the
   Military Base and grab the Documents (opens the way to Rostok)
5. Pull out your PDA Map and look at outstanding Tasks. Active ones
   will show you who gave you the mission. Wolf should start moving
   out of the Rookie Village and Cordon headed to Garbage and on to
   Rostok and the Army Warehouses. The reason you have to move
   fast is once the 24 hours are up the mission fails, and you lose your
   active tracking. Wolf is delivering the dynamite to Colonel Skull.

That's why you make plenty of manual saves (not auto saves, that overwrite each other, are limited in number and easily corrupt) that way if something bad like that happens, you can return to an earlier time. Never rely on Quick Saves or Auto Saves alone.

Yes, I know. There's a three-man patrol of Military on the road to the south. Most of the time you can kill them, loot them and no consequences. It can rarely happen but sometimes if you do the same, the entire Military will leave their base and come wipe out the entire Rookie Village but Sidorovich. Not a good thing, especially how Wolf gives repeat tasks you can get rewards for.

is there a way to unlock all stashes WITHOU REVEALING THEM ALL. I think its wierd that stashes magically appear items only when they are seen on a pda. I reallythink that if you find them by yourself, you should be rewarded.

I think stashes that are found through dead people and mission should be visible on your pda, but if you find them without the help of a pda or rewarded from missions or killing enemies then they should still have loot. now, is this possible?

im trying to figure out if stashes spawn more than once. For example, you get a stash in Cordon, you go and collect it so the marking is gone. Is it possible under the right conditions to make it spawn again?

The dude literally had a screenshot where he got the same stash twice within 5 sec (so the same stash appears on screen).

So I assume it was mainly patched out to avoid situations where you get unlucky and two bodies yield the same stash

I was bad at stalker and uninstalled the game many times before, now for my first playthrough i'm playing on master and i'm having a blast, i got pretty good quickly

I play on controller, its hard to react quickly to enemies, the ai is so different compared to the latest triple A titles, usually all the enemies will go down one path and let you spray them down, but it feels like a real fire fight, i think its more fun on the harder difficulties, but i found it quite frustrating because i had my gamma very low and i couldnt see anything while the enemy could see me from far away in the dark

You won't miss much, he only gives you a flashdrive which is worth 5000 rubles and he dies on the x16 lab anyway

If you manage to escort him he will die eventually in a scripted cutscene and another NPC will spawn, with the same voice lines and role as him, so you are missing nothing
