I agree wholeheartedly with all the sentiment about both the ongoing issues with the game, as well as those with GSC's general lack of transparency regarding the update pipeline. Understandably so much of that is protected by NDA, but still it would be nice to get some sort of short form devblog here & there, something along those lines to acknowledge ongoing progress. Because we all know #📜┃gsc-answers tends to be pretty dry

I mean what, we had two or three documentaries on the production of the game before it was finished, but now they don't want to give us any insight to these similar processes when we are here begging for some semblance of news? And while these naturally showed the impact of the invasion on the game's development & that message still rings loud and clear, it would also be nice to get a video that is instead more focused on the technical side of things, especially now with the major work going towards the engine upgrade.

I must say that I am just grateful that mods on console haven't broken entirely, unlike the way it was for 1.7 (and took forever to get fixed). It's at least been nice that even through this lull period, GSC has been quite on the ball about approving major mod updates for console versions, as well as still approving a number of new mods for console such as these various QoL ones by the legendary @wild wing

With the right combo of mods, I'm still in many ways satisfied by the state of the game & hopeful that we console mod users will continue to be able to play it as such, right up until the engine upgrade drops and breaks everything
