Enemies were too bullet sponge, items were too abundant making survival elements meaningless, stealth mechanics were really bad, weapons all felt too similar, many quests were very buggy, stuff spawned too close and A-life basically didn’t exist. Why is the PSZ Falcon suit one of the most recommended armor sets? (non-exo)

I ask this because I've seen multiple videos and post talking about how it's the best or second to best armors in the game despite me finding armors that have way better overall defense or artifact slots, does it have upgrades that flip it's quality on a dime?

Falcon suit is pretty much the opposite end of the Survey, Falcon has lowish anomaly protections but high ballistic/physical protection where as Survey has high anomaly protection an lowish ballistic/physical resistance. Falcon is combat armour, Survey is for artifact hunting. That’s how I use em anyway.

Y'know using both is never an option I thought about, having that -1 on lead containers kinda stinks for the Falcon but if the overall defense is better than I might just use both

Idk how far you've progressed but using a few suits overall is good just to use up the durability if nothing else (if you plan to stash unique suits)

but overall prioritizing physical resistance is better imo especially since it's the stat for both mutant and human encounters, and for example shock anomalies pop you in 1 hit anyways

I mean, if you repair your shits on the regular you shouldn’t need to worry about repair costs and durability. I never let my suit fall below 90% or my weapons below 80-85%. Keeps repair costs maintainable.

Real Stalkers don’t need to use guides. I never use fast travel.. Although I did in IWP mod since there was an Artifact called ‘Gimlet’ that let you teleport to any fast travel location. I thought that was cool asf. Compass had the same ability but also came with stat buffs where as Gimlet was literally just a teleport artifact.

But fast travel should be a option to the player, this system of guides is the best thingi and a system based on important "secure places" available or not would be good for HoC, there a lot of marked locations in-game but that every location appear as dialogue would be limited somehow, perhaps a division between types of locations would fix that problem without have to add every possible location to every guide
