Okay STALKERS, this is my first call out for this project of mine. I want to create a mod pack for the Console versions of SoC, CS, and COP. The mission of the mod pack will be HD Remodels and/or replacement of weapons and tools, HD Sounds for gunshots, Remodeled NPCs and Hands, and overhauled Animations for all Weapons and tools. On console there are only 1GB file limits, and a 5000mb Total limit. This I belive will be doable. If you would like the porting tool I have developed for mods, and the README I will send it to you. It’s pretty annoying. You have a 1GB limit to one pack, and a 5000mb limit over all. And you have to replace assets with new ones. No complete new assets can be added. If you want the Tokerev pistol, you need to swap out the PMm and it WILL shoot 9x18, unless you switch all 9x18 to 7.62x23

I’m tryna figure out how the balance of radiation protection works relative to artifact radiation protection

I thought it stacked, but now I’m not sure. cause if I equip a artifact with 3 bars of rad protection, in my equipment page it’ll shoot up, but then if I equip one more with 1 bar, it doesn’t rise again. It just stay the same

Yes and no, thats a part of it, but broken or damaged parts being swapped out for better ones, would make your gun more reliable and consistent, it makes sense as a progression system going from something thats busted, jams all the time and is unreliable to something that almost never jams, never has feeding problems and is at its peak possible accuracy

I do however kinda expect weapon balancing to be better. It was fixed very quickly by modders so I don't harp on about it, but I hate arbitrary damage numbers being thrown at guns to justify progression instead of a gun being a gun. That irks me a great deal

I say it really defocuses from what SP should try to do, with barter systems you can also make otherwise useless places feel interesting and like spots that you should go to without working too much to make them hubs, for example, the example image I showed you is not in a hub, its a tower that is being held down by the mil, and they are in the middle of the swamps, the treck there is hard and really dangerous but that also makes the reward a lot more enticing
