The exploration and atmosphere are 10/10 potentially but between lack of meaningful side content and uninteresting stash rewards + ongoing A-Life issues it does become a shallow loop. At this point in my 1700+ hours I am similarly looking for more depth out of the experience and while we aren't quite there yet with Anomaly/GAMMA, we do have some great mods that start to push the experience in that direction. I've had a great time with Lootable Zone x Better Ballistics & some others playing on a new save veteran with no HUD only saving at campfires/hubs; giving myself these types of challenges has been great for keeping things fresh, but I hear you we need more content both from GSC and modders' side of things to further expand on the groundwork that we have

Even though I'm a Stalker fan I have to complain about Stalker 2. I've never been more annoyed by the gameplay of an AAA FPS. My character has the jumping skills of George Constanza. He can literally jump about 2 feet tops. He also is the most out of shape character ever to grace a FPS. He can sprint about 5 seconds before huffing and puffing like some chain smoker who is working off of one lung. And then the kicker. That stupid enemy that can mentally pull you towards it. How fun is it fighting a character that constantly freezes you until you're dead. And I even have the outfit you need to fight those guys. I thought games were supposed to allow the player to have fun. Does anyone else have the same complaints?

Already been there when I did Wild Island. Currently paused in the Cordon; I've got to go to the Cement Factory and do a side-mission for Hera before I get into the main story.

Be careful and make plenty of saves regarding Hera. Some of his missions are bugged, despite several patches.
If you get a job, make a save right before you get the package (for example) because when you return to him,
he will give you your reward, but the side-mission HUD marker will not go away. That means despite you
giving him the item, and getting paid for it, the bugged side-mission marker will prevent you from
getting additional jobs. You have to go to a save made before all that, where you can return
to him and decline the side-mission. Not all are bugged, just a few of them with Hera.

In later patches, GSC decided to place in this corner, the Player's personal golden stash chest.
I don't know what is there or not there, in the version of the game that you are playing.
I was really happy to see this, as there is usually a lot of action at the Outer Checkpoint.
I used to have to carry used guns all the way south to the Rookie Village or west to Zalissya.
Now with the personal stash here, it's much easier to run them here and not have to carry them.

You can sorta deal with bloodsuckers when you're mid-game, but they're way too common early game. I recall running into 2 or 3 before even first getting to Zalissya.

I really couldn't give less of a shit about a-life, but I do think stalker could really really use a decent spawn director

'cause right now enemies have just very strict spawning rules on very strictly defined "lairs", which makes it so you can 100% tell what you're going to find before going through a place.

I think it's just gsc's way to make up for lack of enemy variety in general. Maybe if there were more types of 'chaff' mutants, the game wouldn't have to rely on bloodsuckers that much

bloodsuckers spawn in bloodsucker lairs obeying to a bloodsucker limit set on the cfgs

meaning, if the limits 2, you're almost guaranteed to find 2 bloodsuckers in dire thicket, which has a bloodsucker lair
