Yea; now I can't use half the scopes that OXA made available; only the ones the gun was designed for.

The G36 is one of them that's NOT broken; I can use the 2X scopes on it fine, fortunately, which pairs well with the Beta C-Mag.

I still can't use the Storm Falcon X8 with it, else I wouldn't need a sniper anymore.

Still, I hope they do fix the issues with the existing stuff so those magazines can be used.

the main issue is that this game works with a visible active environment, thats a bubble around the player. outside of that bubble, you have the persistant outside environment. atm the game has a maximum ai spawn distance of 350 meters.

so 350 meters is the max you can kill someone, and actually know and see them getting killed. outside of that, Another false promise-life takes over, does a bunch of faked calculations. in general, the bullet just disappears into nothingness

but, a good enough modder, should be able to mod this active environment to go beyond 350 meters. but then you have other problems. all instances, like npc's and interactables are active within this bubble, which will put pressure on your hardware. and the game is badly optimized as is.

minimum AI spawn distance is 80 meters. max is 350. this is the max range you can interact with npc's. so you can shoot an npc up to 350 meters with a sniper. if it has that range on it. which for balance reasons, it simply has not. but again, this can be fixed with mods, to increase flatness

ubisoft kind of had the same problems with AC. in AC odyssey, its hte first time you get to play as a female protagonist. however, shareholders were afraid players wouldnt like this choice. so near the end of the development of the game, they hired a mediocre man to voice in the male protagonist pick, and it ended up in the most bland and neutral voice acting ever heard in gaming history.

Part of it would be, Skif takes a mag off an enemy and not 1-5 rounds, and makes pick ups a bit more controlled. Use the systems of dragging ammo to the mags in inventory to load. Or stockpile mags and sell them to traders for coupons or stalkers on the road.

Playing gamma I've realized two things

• 2 has actually very few weapons, and
• that's a good thing

I mean obviously it'd be cool if 2 had more guns, but in gamma literally every gun in a given caliber is basically a skin swap just with different rof and attachment options

Once you get a decent gun in a caliber it kinda makes any other gun in that caliber pointless

In 2 i feel more of less every gun has a purpose and personality. More or less.

Gamma starts very well. Smgs do feel distinct and fun, and shotties are reasonably distinct (if much more inconsistent model and animation wise)

But once you hit ARs that's where you get into slop city

I played SoC multiple times vanilla and had not a single game breaking bug

At most a corspe bugging or smth like that, but the base game is playable

The EE also comes with bugs that have been fixed or are yet to fix. Only play it if you want a "modernized looking version" of something thats old

I personally recommend the original. If you dont want bugs at all (you will always have), ZRP is kind of recommended. After installing it, search the modifier.exe file and change everything to default so its only vanilla stuff rather than added content

Nope, be patient and do setup and you too can play on veteran. Also, the point of no return is $#!t on purpose. Put it on easy and finish your story playthrough.
