So. Since you are vanilla. This will help you better plot your routes:
NPCs can basically (through some brush) spot the tip of your right boot, and it counts as spotting your whole leg.

The player’s “bones” aren’t totally separate, and in some way that I probably can’t explain (so I’ll do it this way)..
The enemy is actually seeing more of your body just by spotting a bit of you.

My guess is, seeing the very tip of your helmet shows your whole skull and chest.

Hi stalkers, I’ve been really in the mood to play again, I tried stalker 2 on release and it wasn’t working well. I also played most of the games!

I’m having constant issues with stalker 2 since redownloading….

The game feels so jittery, I’m using a 5080 and a high tier GPU.

I’ve tried so many things and it just is not helping at ALL.

I’m getting a stable 150 fps on epic settings too, even when changing these completely and maintaining 120 fps or limiting it to 120 it’s just not working. I really want to relive the life of a stalker but it’s genuinely hurting my eyes playing it for more than 5 minutes can anyone advise me on this PLEASEEEEE!!!!

Yes. There’s a channel, up top. In the Mods section. #1387663648448577536 his mod “NPC Combat Overhaul” and “Instant Aggression Fix” may have useful info for how to avoid vanilla dudes.

But essentially, if you’re in a blown out shack, and not behind a solid wall.
That literal speck of you that’s visible through a hole counts as a whole ass body part.
Choose cover over concealment.

Ok I’m all ears bro, I want to fix it.

I’ve tried changing my settings to medium, I tried capping at 60fps, I tried changing my res from 4k to 1440p, I changed the mouse acceleration and done a few other things with no luck.

It’s not a spec problem I can play nearly everything maxed out.

I feel like there’s some setting linked with input latency or maybe even fps / frame gen or possibly g sync causes the issue.

I can see my computer will run it well it’s just what’s causing the jitters?

Still got the issue of them being ridiculously common but that and better ballistics on veteran means I use them all up very fast

I recently finished S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Call of Pripyat, and as I understand it, the lore revolves around Operation Fairway, which leads us to meet up with the military in Pripyat and eventually evacuate alongside Strelok. But honestly, there weren’t many encounters with Monolith, nor did I find things like the Wish Granter or the Brain Scorcher. It just felt like a long military operation with little supernatural stuff besides anomalies and emissions. Is that normal, or did I miss half the game?

No, that's it, though plenty of side-missions are available to expand on the lore of the world.

CoP is where the Monolith is in decline and the disabling of the 'Scorcher' in SoC means the 'super-natural' stuff is kind of de-mystified. Since now, a lot more people inhabit the central parts of the Zone and explore all around.

You still have laboratories and such to explore which are appropriately creepy many times, along with the train yard and the main factory in Jupiter.

However, I’ve already started Shadow of Chernobyl, and I’ll probably continue with Clear Sky afterward. Honestly, I don’t know how I didn’t play them sooner.
