Well squad is a GWOT sim and HLL is WW2 unless you mean Squad44 and I haven’t played Squad44 so

I personally like HLL it’s like just about every other “realistic” shooter. I mean the guns feel realistic, the maps feel realistic, I don’t really know what else to say

I’d like if HLL had more than just the European theaters I guess but besides that it’s a good WW2 game in my opinion

In HLL you can only play as the Germans, British, Americans, and Russians and it’s mostly in Europe I think there’s a few maps in North Africa but they all kinda suck tbh

I assume that won’t be an issue in a Vietnam game since there’s a single theater and there’s only like 4 factions you can theoretically play as, Vietcong, South Vietnamese, America, and maybe Australia if they do the Rising Storm approach

There was a weird bug with the RPGs just outside of the Burer cave on Wild Island where if you picked them up, (I can't remember if unloading them was a required step or not) your game would glitch out hard and require a Alt-F4 reset. You couldn't pause the game, quick select bar didn't work, couldn't open inventory, it was honestly pretty gnarly.

i purchased the ultimate physical edition. on release date, they mailed me the cd key. with the message the goods were delayed until april 2025. then starting may 2025, i got another message, saying it was delayed till june 2026. i refunded it, holding the payment hostage through a paypal claim. got the full refund. since i got the game activated already through steam, they couldnt get that back. key was already in use. so all they can do is ask steam to close my access to the game.

Honestly, with the new lore of artifacts, HoC should've been way more desolate than all of the games before. Artifacts no longer work outside the Zone, right? So one of the primary resources the Big Land funded Stalkers for is no longer worth anything. That and the IPSF got the entire Zone cordoned off even more than back in the day. Resources and Stalkers should be way more scarce from that POV
