wouldnt call it that bad. game is playable. but it has alot of issues added with 1.5. ragdoll effect is out of proportions. bodies fly, especially on headshots. at other times, bodies just disappear through the ground. in some locations, the guards dont react to hostile actions. a-life is still as dumb as bricks, but atleast its livelier than on release.

but the main story works. other than the bug with the doors of the shechenko. i havnt found any issues with the main story outside of that. weapons work. they got balanced quite recently, and for the better.

comparing this game and its company to a kojima game is a fallacy, only thing they sadly compare is price of the game. Kojima is an industry veteran backed by a very experienced team. Stalker 2 is basically a bunch of UE newbs with some game dev veterans that havent really made an FPS in 15 years.

I’m having issues with mods on Xbox series X. I had a couple installed, I log in today to play and they have a clock icon next to them. I can’t find any way to update them. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling and now it just says subscription failed. Won’t let me download the mod at all.

UE4 had been out for 6 or 7 years when they switched. Had plenty of documentation and plenty of guides for it. UE5 came out earlier in the year that they switched, that's why it's in 5.1, and now that it is in 5.1 [or their custom fork of it] it's gonna be really difficult to upgrade to 5.6. It's not a matter of flicking a switch

So I don't forsee a jump to UE5.6+ unless they take a year with no updates or no dlc and just full focus on basically redoing the game again.

But UE4 was in a good place, would've worked really well, but all in all it's fine. The game is getting more stable [so-so] every update. It's just a matter of time at this point.

happened to me, I would have to go back and redo everything, just
so I could have a continuous story posted. Or other times I would spend
a lot of time and record a good way and then realize I didn't want to go or do
what I had done, and I would go back to an earlier save and have a different outcome.

I forced an old emachine to run shadow of chernobyl 800x600 dx8 min with everything lowest or turned off and got sub 5fps most time and I was hooked. I never really made it past the cordon, but I was obsessed with the game. Every new PC I got I forced it to run the stalker games until I could get like 15fps and then beat them lol

Yeah, I learned the hard way to never take an artifact job from anyone, unless you already had it on you (personal stash)

Metro Exodus had the perfect way of doing NG+. Game was harder, no HUD, and you could choose to start with whatever gear you unlocked in first save. Or have modifiers that effected difficulty, or world immersion such as a in game 24hr timer that locked the time of day in game to the time it was for you IRL. Or you could turn on weather and storms happening a lot more frequently, which dirties your gun making it wear out faster

That's been my go to. Collect a bunch of artifacts, save before I go accept one and if I don't have it I just reload and move on to a different mission.

Game is all about looting and exploring yk. Ng+ would rip that away and would basically be a go way to speedrun through the game without really needing to do much other than exactly taking what you need and leaving everything else. Wouldn't really feel appealing anymore since you'd have enough and most elements would not be compelling no longer

I think one of the funniest things for me is that stalkers tell the WORST jokes.

But it leads to very funny moments. Was running from an emission and jumped into this garage in the burnt forest.
