Hello fellow stalkers, i was having a blast with the game no major performance issue, no mods, but i got this bug after getting the weird bolt, and it seems i cant progress the game now cause every emission is crashing my game at cordon near where we are sent to go to Oasis.

So the reason i joined the discord, 'cause i failed to google any possible work around with google...

Is there a mod which fixes it or i would have to wait for a patch ?

Hit the SIRCAA quest, got the unremovable scanner dead weight but still decided to hold off on going ahead with the quest pending the patch, but right now the game has started crashing like every 30-50 minutes. Maybe it's related to play time, maybe quest progress, maybe that I went to the west side of the map first time, but it's becoming increasingly frustrating even without progressing to the dreaded part of main quest meltdown.

Why controllers? Just run past everything hopped up on medpacks and dump a mag of 12 gauge into its face. Never had a controller live for longer then roughly 15 seconds after first sight so far.

Go back to a save before you talked to the NPC, talk to the quest NPC and have him guide you to the location of a collar.
Make a map marker on that location and then reload the save prior to talking to him. As map markers persist through save files.
Just run to that location of the map marker and get the collar from the bloodsucker, return to the NPC and talk to him.
Since you already have a collar you skip the softlock.

OG games releases were very buggy too. Clear Sky was pretty much unplayable, and to this day is hard to play without at least Reclamation Project fixes.

I think they got too ambitious and ran out of time, as long as they supply patches and implement the features that are missing/broken this game will be a masterpiece, and once the modders get the sdk we will be playing this game for 20 years

In my experience everything before SIRCAA is playable with some standard STALKER jank.

Afterwards the two missions I tried I was soft locked or stuff executed in the wrong order.

Do you have a 13 or 14th gen CPU? Uodate your bios then. You may also get out of video memory errors which seems to be extremely weird, because you might think it's GPU and not CPU related.
The newer generations have a voltage problem, updating your bios fixes this.

Going from cost of repair your not meant to upgrade anything and should be switching gear as soon as it's to damaged to matter. Cost me 25k to repair my Seva suit and another 25k for my guns. Now those sit in my stash and I just switch to what ever the best gun/armor I picked up from the last run I did until it's broken.

Ya I'm sitting on 582139 credits and 224 medkits in my stash. My loadout when I go out is 2 medkits, 3 bandages, and 2 anti-rad for healing and I rarely take damage ||Except for thermal anomolies...||. But the only reason I built up so many credits is cause on this run I haven't upgraded or repaired a single weapon and just swap out instead of repair. Generally the only time I'm healing is when I get a patrol spawned on me. And I rarely use more then a single bullet to kill. You shouldn't need to powergame so much for something as simple as repairing your gear. Hell even the Misery mod for Pripyat was less punishing when you got lazy with repairs. Econ needs quite a bit of work since it's way to shallow for how annoying it is. If it had more depth then sure make it punishing but it shouldn't be both basic and punishing

If difficulty is like the previous games then luck. Old games it used to be when a shot connected then it had an 80% or 70% chance to not do anything. Don't know if they carried that method forward but that could be it. But game is still to new for the specific mechanics to be fully dissected.
