My opinion is based on using Brave on a 5600X/3080/32GB RAM cl14 3600Mhz/2TB NVME on a cleaned up Windows 10 with O&OShut10 and system idling at 0-1% utilization. That all the way down to my laptop that's a Asus VivoBook, single channel 2400Mhz. I've tried all the online tips to improve Brave performance with no success, but when it came down to it, especially after all the caching it was a disappointment. It's so aesthetically pleasing though 😔

remote desktop is self explanatory, hyper v is a hypervisor which can be used with virtual machines, and bitlocker is hard drive encryption

I'm having some issues with AMD chipset drivers. I was trying to update them and kept getting 1316 error code the specified account already exist. So I then tried uninstalling and installing the newest driver. I no longer get the error code 1316, but I still get installation failed. Is this a good spot for help or any other recommendations?

yes I have rebooted. i used microsoft uninstaller tool to remove pretty much anything with amd. the only thing showing after i rebooted was amd ryzen master sdk

Hi, so my computer has had some blue screen problems that I couldn’t figure out, my computer crashed randomly while playing a game and my monitor just went into basically sleep mode (orange light) instead of staying on (blue light) not sure why or what happened. Because if you have too many PCIe devices hooked up, your GPU might not be getting the lanes it needs.
But I doubt that's the case. Just a random thing I thought about.
Whoever is like "wtf is this guy on about". Your CPU and Chipset have a finite number of PCIe Lanes. With most modern Intel and AMD CPUs you would never hit the limit, but with older Intel it's certainly possible with the meagre amount of lanes they give you on Consumer Intel chips. If you hit the limit or go over, your GPU won't be getting any Lanes, and then your GPU would act as if it's dead or not installed.

Could be the HDMI controller on the monitor, or an HDMI port on your GPU is going out.
I had the DisplayPort controller on my Asus VG248QE die awhile back.
It just didn't recieve a DisplayPort signal at all.
Tested the cable on another monitor, worked fine.
Tested a different cable on the same monitor, no signal.

And PS4 doesn't have DisplayPort anyway.
HDMI on that monitor works just fine.
It's ONLY the DisplayPort that is broken.
And it's now the monitor I use next to my bed to play Switch games.

Which program did it detect as a virus? It could be remnants of the infection trying to load its executable.
Malwarebytes scan usually helps, it's better at getting rid of associated files and scheduled tasks.

Vbs files are "visual basic script" which are actually pretty commonly used by viruses, since so many legitimate programs use them too.

It's a general malware cleaner. There's a pro version that you can use as an AV but the free version works well for just cleaning.

Ok, there's a couple places to look then. Open task manager and check the startup tab for anything suspicious to start.

CCleaner is another program you'll want, in order to dig more deeply into startup tasks and scheduled tasks. Again, the free version is fine. This one I recommend removing as soon as you're done with it, popups get annoying.
You can delete the startup item in that, and see more details on what it's linked to

Check if the fan is 3 or 4 pin. If it's 3 pin you need to set it to DC mode in bios, if 4 pin you can use either DC or PWM, but PWM is preferred usually.
PWM works by using a constant 12v current, and speed is controlled by Pulse Width Modulation

Fair enough, but you could just add the separate drive and use that for your storage. Then you don't need to worry about buying a new Windows license too.
"Technically" if you sign into the same Microsoft account on both installations the key will be saved but then you have the same user on both drives and that gets confusing.

The way that Windows activates now, it binds the motherboard serial number to your key and saves it to your microsoft account. In order to use the same key, you'd need the same user on both installations.
