Hello there, I was wondering if someone could give me an advice about a prospective software upgrade, from Win 7 to 10.
To be more precise, I would like to know if there are problems to be expected when upgrading to W10 considering my rig consists in : 4690K, Z87 MoBo, 1660S from Zotac and 8GB @1333MHz (which, I know, matches the requirements, my concerns are more about drivers availability, performance, RAM usage and stability).
BTW, I play Skyrim a lot (and with a lot of mods) so if one knows about how better/worse the usual tools work...I would be glad to hear about it.

(PS : I'm considering going for those 10-ish € activation keys you might find on Amazon and the likes. So the cost is not a major concern.)

my MC server doesn't wanna go more than 4g.No crash error i know by looking at my TMNG and i know pretty good minecraft server but idk why the server just capped itself at 4G

I wouldn't look at task manager for gpu usage anyway, it's rarely accurate. It's good for everything except that. If you don't want a third party utility like afterburner, resource monitor works.

Not sure if this is the right place to ask this, but over the past couple weeks most apps on my pc have stopped working, except for a few select programs, everything I open will stay open for a few seconds and then stop working. It used to give me the little "___ has stopped working" message but now it just closes. Does anyone know what's happening and if so could you please help? My pc has become less usable than a console and it seems to be getting worse.

Hmmmm, it should just reactivate. So you do this, and what exactly does it say? Select the Start button, then select Settings > Update & Security > Activation > Change Product Key, then enter the product key.

Well, if the Key that tool found isn't working, you'll need to contact MSI most likely to get a new one. I'm not sure why that happened, most PC's have the key stored in the BIOS, which that tool pulls out.

If it tells you to go to the Microsoft store, it wants you to buy another OS key.

Hey all. Anyone able to answer this question?
In my current pc build, for my mobo, I'm using an
Asus ProArt Z490-creator 10G

Long story
I was able to install Windows 10 ok, but when I powered off and powered on later, the mobo won't boot to windows.
I did check in BIOS, and it does see the SSD with win10 on it as a bootable drive, so i really am stumped on what I'm missing.
Any advice or constructive criticism is appreciated

Edit: I was able to interact with the windows 10 desktop before powering off, so I know it installed at least, but I am still having the above issue

Best advice I can give is don't use it to create the USB. Tell it to download the ISO and save it to an easy place like downloads folder. Then use Rufus to create the USB.

Any idea why my PC would refuse to turn off? I turned it off it turned back on on its own I power it off again then the lights stay on while the PC doesn’t display anything then I got it to turn back on then the power button wouldn’t work anymore

Enable the EuP Ready setting or whatever your board manufacturer calls it in the BIOS power settings, that tells the board to cut USB power among other things in an off state

the easiest way is to use boot camp assistant if the specific mac has the option https://www.windowscentral.com/how-create-windows-10-installer-usb-drive-mac I’ve used etcher in the best but never for windows only linux

The issue with making it on a Mac is the UEFI boot. Some etcher/ISO burning programs don't work correctly

you can try that tool above, reason why i ask is because the macs that use a usb to install boot camp you should be able to just format and download iso to the drive without actually installing boot camp. but boot camp assistant should be on every mac as far i know unless maybe the apple silicon ones

Yeah i have the assistant but those images in the tutorial linked are not the same as what i am looking at right now, i believe that requires boot camp to be fully installed unfortunately
