It's not "for whatever reason," the reason is twofold. First, the motherboard better be damn good with the memory traces or it simply won't work. Ideally T-topology instead of standard daisy chain. Second, the memory controller is not very strong on any consumer CPU. So you'll be lucky to get it running above about DDR5-4000, which most motherboards will default to higher than that which means you'll need to do some memory tweaking and swapping around just to get it to boot.
It's much, MUCH easier to run 96GB mostly because you can do it with 2 sticks of memory, instead of stressing everything with extra sticks.
What exactly would you be doing that requires that much memory anyway? 99.9% of people have no need for anything more than 48GB. Most don't need more than 32GB for that matter.

True! I will run Unreal projects with many high poly models that have 4K to 8k textures in big terrain scenes with buildings etc., and do short films that may range from 10 to 20 minutes long, possibly 30 maximum and simulations included.

Found some information from some folks that had the same issue. Apparently installing the chipset drivers allowed windows to detect the bluetooth hardware properly.

Sounds like the bootloader pooed itself. There's 2 things you can do, reinstall the bootloader using an installation drive, or reinstall Windows completely. The former being quite a bit more complex than the latter.

Hello, before I just do a reinstall of windows after searching for an answer and being unable to find a resolution. I have Kaspersky installed and even disabled its features to find out if this was the issue however it did nothing, suddenly in both Chrome and Edge when I attempt to download any exe, even vs studio from Microsoft I get a response that it is not allowed by my organization, however I am not part of a organization and I am that administrator of this computer. This seemed to start with being unable to open .rar files by clicking on them however opening a compression utility like 7zip or WinRAR and then clicking the archive it worked.
I did notice some other people had this issue or very simular to it but I did not see a fix.
I have checked UAC and that was not the issue

I personally don't recommend moving programs by just moving the files, as some (honestly many) programs don't like that, and you'll end up needing to reinstall the programs anyways

So I installed Windows to an NVME after taking my old HDD from the PC, the drive boots as D, if I change that in the command prompt with the USB intaller troubleshoot option will my PC break?

Thats why I don’t think it is necessarily the sample rate that is the issue. Reason why I brought up the mic is because bluetooth has limited bandwidth. If it needs bandwidth for a mic it will cut out from the headphone quality.
Some devices don’t properly handle this and will keep it connected as a “headset” with the mic always active. I know windows’ bluetooth support isn’t great but I can’t remember how it behaves exactly with such headphones

well that screenshot looks like the game is set to fullscreen borderless not fullscreen which means it stays open in the background. fullscreen borderless can cause windows ui elements to disappear. I would say either set it to fullscreen or if you only temporary need taskbar you can always hit the windows key and it should come back into focus

Have you done this in an admin powershell? Make sure the store is closed.

You can set a background still, just right click a picture and "set as background".
There's semi-legit sites where you can get OEM keys for ~$25, anything cheaper than that is not legit. We can't link specific sites since they're considered grey market.

Like delete the parts that it extracts as it extracts them? That's not possible unfortunately
The way archives work is all or nothing, if you want to delete something out of an archive you need to delete the whole thing and rebuild it
(7z files sometimes support adding things without a total rebuild though)

Hello, wondering if I need to use the general chat or not. But I built a new windows 10 pc about a year ago and it has always had some issues upon start up. It would either boot up fine, load very slow, freeze complelety or blue screen. I can provide build specs. Just wondering what could be causing this
I have built 2 other PCs, different specs, around the same time but they restart and boot up within seconds no problem. One is built for gaming like this one, one is just a movie server

I was looking up on things and saw that, but it has plenty of space. I could buy a new SSD. I have noticed issues with the SSD since installing it, one just completely didn't work and I can't even format it with an SSD enclosure, it wouldn't even read it
I had some issues with Warzone crashing constantly so I went back down to windows 10 but still the same boot up issues

When trying to connect my airpods pro 2 to my pc it keeps asking for a pin. It randomly started doing this recently and i've gotten around it with 0000 but now its not working. I've reinstalled the bluetooth driver and all my other devices connect. Any tips?

I wouldn't go about assuming that, apple products can be the biggest pain in the ass sometimes "the it always works mentality" from apple is so wrong because when it doesn't work it manages to really not work in my experience. It could be a windows problem too. Maybe try go back a driver version or 2

have so many problems with it with different bluetooth adapters, when it works perfectly fine on android phones
for some reason sometimes it doesnt want to connect to my first party xbox one controller, even though it's perfectly happy with connecting to my phone
and some weird connection issues with some bluetooth speakers, but that was rare, most of my issues was with bluetooth controllers/mice

Hey ya'll. So I'm having a bit of an issue w Win11. I powered my PC on this morning and all was fine for about 5 minutes before recieving a BSOD for a Kernel Security Check Failure. I have the memory dump files on a USB (i was able to move them over quickly enough before getting another BSOD. but I am not sure how to A) Open/view them and B) what I should be looking for here.
I have tried removing my XMP Profile off my RAM and that did not help. Everything is properly seated hardware wise and i cant stay on the system long enough to do much else . Any help is appreciated

To be fair, the ram could be fine, but wasn't stable on xmp, which corrupted some system files which causes your windows to continue to have issues despite disabling it

Back up your important files and reinstall windows first
If no issues crop up, then it could just be corrupted windows constantly crashing
If reinstalling doesn't fix it, then it could be a hardware issue of some sort

Also im assuming that you don't have your os drive as the main storage
Just disconnect your storage drives and leave the OS drive in, backup the files from that drive, then reinstall windows

The only down side (which might also be an up side sometimes) I've found using that script is that Windows might fail to upgrade to a new version later, requiring you to download the installer and update through that and then run the script again after

So I downgraded my sons SSD to windows 10 using my other build. And it was working great so I installed what I needed for my gaming pc. Removed my SSD from that to put this one in and I’m getting an Inaccessible Boot Device error on a blue screen
