Well Id try the extensions 1st & run a few benchmarks or stress test. Could be fine. Just know not having 3 full cables might technically limit the actual power limit, but an undervolt isn't a bad idea either which would counter that. 30 series get generous stock voltage

You can think of it as Linux treating drives as image files. The /dev files are the various drives on the system. Then there's dynamically created ones like /dev/random and /dev/null that spit out certain data on the fly as needed.
