league isn't exactly a demanding game
val can run max settings 144fps on a 1050 ti i believe
probably could in val too if val didn't refuse to run on integrated
my laptop gets cpu bottlenecked in val
but it was really cool to see the fps go up after improving my ram oc
with the old 3200c17 ram oc i was stuck at 400 fps
went up to 440 fps average with 3600c19
That's grand ye
I have a cheap custom build I bought off a guy new, has room for one graphics card. I need to run four monitors for business. Not gaming. What cards do you recommend?
what do you do for business
anything intense?
does it have integrated graphics?
some PCs can support 4 displays without a graphics card even
if you have integrated graphics that can handle 2-3 displays then you can choose pretty much whatever you want lol
It has integrated graphics, that can run two. But when I put a graphics card in that can run two, I can’t get both to work
No, I sell tools
Mine integrated only supports 2
Not sure what that means
gt 1030
you need to enable integrated graphics in your bios for them to run simultaneously
if you already have a graphics card with 2 display outputs then no need to buy anything new
just gotta find that bios setting
What’s the difficulty level on that process because I can’t Google how to do it
Too expensive, I’m not a millionaire. $250 Max
1030 is 70 max used...
Also have to make sure it is the GDDR5 model
DDR4 model is fine for watching 4K media and playing SNES games
If he has 250$ in total he could wait for EVGA's next midweek madness and see if they would sell something like a GTX 1660 Super/Ti for 250$ or less
what motherboard do you have?
y'all he doesn't need to buy a new graphics card lol
just needs to turn on integrated graphics
What is his CPU/APU then?
they have a gpu and an igpu
idk but supposedly it has 2 display outputs
Should you spend more on a cpu or gou
Gonna depend fully on your use case
For a build that's orientated towards gaming, typically you spend more on a gpu
Thanks bro
What if you want to stream?
Or is there an option to make it more gpu intensive
just get an nvidia gpu and let nvenc handle the streaming
for pure gaming you don't need anything higher end than an i5-12400 to handle like, a 3080 at 1440p
might want to step it up to like r7 5800x3d if you're going higher than 3080 just because... well, you're rich
or if you intend to use a 3080+ for 1080p high refresh as well
My buddy just wants to stream minecraft 💀
What's his budget?
He said he'd spend 400 on a gpu but I asked what's his budget for a cpu and he says 800?
Bruh 💀
He says it's cause he'll spend the 400 on the gpu then see what he needs for a cpu
Something like a 3060 would be great for playing and streaming Minecraft imo
Depends if he wants to max out settings and have shaders or rtx stuff
And what kinda cpu would he need? I suggested a ryzen 7 5800x
I also said he should get the 3060
But I suggested the 3050 first which is cheaper
Is Intel better than amd or is it preference?
are you making a new build?
Intel currently have much better value
In the midrange, amd and Intel are fairly close
only place they meet is 5950x and 12900k, but id still go intel
I'd only suggest amd currently if you plan to go without a graphics card for a while, you live near a microcenter, or you don't live in a place with good Intel 12th gen availability.
whats the budget and what country do you live in?
Canada, budget is yet to be set for the whole build but I'd say for the gpu and cpu it'd be 600 each
Actually gimme a sec I'll bring him in hrre
doesnt mean much without a total budget
12400f and 3060 probs will fit in 1200 cad ez
Should be $400 for CPU and mobo and $800 gpu for top experience
id imagine something like this would be the budget https://ca.pcpartpicker.com/list/T3J2k9 could go 12600kf and ak620 if wanted
PC Builder - Intel Core i5-12400F, Radeon RX 6800 XT, Corsair 4000D Airflow ATX Mid Tower
https://ca.pcpartpicker.com/product/cqCD4D/arctic-freezer-34-esports-cpu-cooler-acfre00057a with this if wanted, forgot to add a heatsink
With my knowledge I'd have never known I could get this for $200 more than my build I made in neweggs build thing
pcp better than newegg builder, since it shows all prices instead of just the prices on neweggs build list
if you find out an actual budget lmk and i can revise the list
He'll be here in a sec but in the meantime I have a $2000 budget for Canadian, what can I get for that? I'd be gaming and a little streaming
one sec
id try to do this https://ca.pcpartpicker.com/list/FR3MFg
PC Builder - Intel Core i5-12400F, GeForce RTX 3080 10GB LHR, Corsair 4000D Airflow ATX Mid Tower
Bro went ham on that gpu
So what would I be losing with a cpu that cheap
not much
with NVENC, streaming isnt heavy on the cpu
12400 is enough for a 3090 ti
could go for 12600kf if wanted, with an ak620 for the heatsink
But for gaming would i lose many frames? I haven't really known the impact a cpu has
nope, not in games that itll matter
in esports youre always going to be cpu bottlenecked, but youll still get more than enough frames
for reference, even with a 12900ks/5800x3d and a 3060 ti youll still be cpu bottlenecked in a lot of esports
Ik it'll sound stupid but if it's being bottlenecked what would happen
nothing
Oh ._.
Hey Im donells buddy trying to see how to build a pc idk much about them
I wanna be able to stream minecraft and do YouTube videos/live streams and what I’m trying to do is with every paycheck Im gona buy a née part of the pc so in total about 1.5-2k I’d say
New*
https://ca.pcpartpicker.com/list/QJrh9r this works
PC Builder - Intel Core i5-12400F, GeForce RTX 3070 LHR, Corsair 4000D Airflow ATX Mid Tower
Is that all good enough for minecraft?
easily
Piece buying in general isn't very reccomended btw
you can do a 700 build for minecraft
if youre on a budget you can do much cheaper than that build
I thought building was better
Or is piece buying something different
Piece buying is buying the individual parts over time
Why isn't it recommended
You can get dead parts and not know and then it's just a pain
Ohh ok
Then you're out of return period and in warranty/rma
Thank you for your help man and yea that budget is great should I just buy it over time like every piece at a time or all together?
since youre on a budget i would do this https://ca.pcpartpicker.com/list/VTLK78
PC Builder - Intel Core i5-12400F, Radeon RX 6600 XT, Cougar MX330-X ATX Mid Tower
and buy it all at once
unless youre a minor and dont have to worry about bills and such
Okay yea and ill buy the first link you sent it’ll just take me a month to be able to afford the whole thing
Cause i wanna get some good gameplay Im while being able to stream or record at the same time
Yes ill keep that in mind thank you
Thoughts on this system https://ca.pcpartpicker.com/list/JrT3Rv ?
PC Builder - Intel Core i3-12100F, GeForce RTX 3050 8GB, Phanteks Eclipse P200A Performance Mini ITX Tower
very imbalanced
and i would not buy most of those parts
especially at that price
thats the price of a 3060 ti build in canada
That is also a ITX build
is matx acceptable?
PC Builder - Intel Core i5-12400F, GeForce RTX 3060 Ti LHR, Thermaltake Versa H18 MicroATX Mini Tower
That defeats the purpose of it being an ITX build
what form factor is itx again?
PC Builder - Intel Core i3-12100F, GeForce RTX 3050 8GB, Phanteks Eclipse P200A Performance Mini ITX Tower
At the time that i made that list there wasn't any H610's in stock
PC Builder - Intel Core i5-12400F, GeForce RTX 3060 Ti LHR, Phanteks Eclipse P200A DRGB Mini ITX Tower
mitx
I would at least pay the $80 difference and go to the 3060 ti like Bacca's saying
550 3050 just sounds wrong
its crap, but its either that or a gigglebyte h610
I'd like to say it was 95w hard limit?
Well i would be going for this board https://ca.pcpartpicker.com/product/MMKKHx/asrock-h610m-itxac-mini-itx-lga1700-motherboard-h610m-itxac
id spend the extra for the b660
And also sticking to the i3
then thats fine, but id still do the rest of the parts in the list i made
1tb hdds are pointless, 2tb are the same price, the psu in that is C tier, the 3050 is not worth anywhere near 550, the ram is worse than the ram i put in my list
and the heatsink is also not worth the price for a 12100f, the stock cooler is more than enough
I like having a HDD still for additional storage for downloads
https://ca.pcpartpicker.com/product/x2JmP6/deepcool-gammaxx-400-v2-645-cfm-cpu-cooler-dp-mch4-gmx400v2-bl this would be fine
then get a 2tb one
That case doesn't come with additional drive bays for 3.5"
So you already own the 1tb?
and the back doesn't fit it as well
I have a 1tb 2.5" Seagate HDD
right now i just use it as an external
thats fine then
Is that why you had one in the list then
then return it
550 is absolutely ridiculous for a 3050
Did you really pay 550 for that
I didn't change the price cause it is the b stock i got from Wednesday
Oh what price was it
how much did it cost you?
It was like 280$ US
Well i paid in USD cause i also have a US bank account and a friend to send it to me after from Vermont
how much is it after the shipping and everything
customs fee sux
Shipping was free
from your friend in vermont to you
Cause i am a Elite member on EVGA
He comes to Canada on Monday on his own cause of his work so
ok
So no additional fee's
cool
ok
That's a lot better
in my state theres tons of cargo forwarder company warehouses
couse my state is tax free lmao
So here is what it would look like updated https://ca.pcpartpicker.com/list/LbNTmr
PC Builder - Intel Core i3-12100F, GeForce RTX 3050 8GB, Phanteks Eclipse P200A Performance Mini ITX Tower
3600c18<3200c16
also the p200a in my list is the same case just without the shipping costs
EU have 20% impport fee lmao
I could always pay like 10$ more for this then https://ca.pcpartpicker.com/product/Y9QcCJ/kingston-fury-renegade-32-gb-2-x-16-gb-ddr4-3600-cl16-memory-kf436c16rb1k232
thats worth it then
How much cheaper is 3200cl16 tho?
its 145
Ehh that's 3600 cl16 -20 tho
130
https://ca.pcpartpicker.com/product/x2JmP6/deepcool-gammaxx-400-v2-645-cfm-cpu-cooler-dp-mch4-gmx400v2-bl id also just get this heatsink
or stick with stock
the heatsink you have in there is super overkill for an i3
Also I've heard vuogo cost a fortune in shipping I'd double check with @cursive wharf which one it was tho
I'd probably grab that instead
Vuugo be $20 - $25 shipping usually, not insane but can easily be a deal breaker compared to a diff retailer + product
For that cooler i would have to check it out from my local shop instead because i don't know if it would come with the LGA1700 brackets by default
Just use the stock cooler
By now it does
Oh ya and the only reason for 32gb of memory is cause Borderlands 3 on DX12 is a memory killer
When i had 16gb of memory it was using like 90% of it
Also zero it's really not worth going from 11400 to 12400
One of many reasons why i am building a ITX system is because oddly i still do LAN parties at my friends place lol
Oh itx nvm
I am not building a new system i am building a second system
Major garbage collection of RAM cache typically happens at like 95% - 97% mem usage. Unless you notice stutters from page filing or crashing you most likely wont need to worry about 32gb
Good to have still, just a note to make
Yeah i got that
Well slowly we're going to be hitting the age of when 32gb will be the norm and 16gb will be the minimum
COD moment
...?
Cache file of 25gb was too small apparently
where did you get this idea
more expensive, same perf
same perf?
also i got it from you and pato lol
first word latency isn't the same as perf
when did i say that
bandwidth still matters...
He talking xmps
idk anything about COD, but dat be fun
3600 18 22 vs 3200 16 18
sure, but it's still higher bandwidth, higher IMC frequency, etc
Could you even use the 3600 xmp on h610 anyway lol
no
idts
h610 is capped to 3200
Hard crashed on me so i had to just set on auto
but in general 3600c18 is better than 3200c16. it's just a matter of what the price difference is
Ya H610 is capped to 3200MHz
i don't know where people got the idea that intel has zero scaling with ram speed
G1 is capped at 2933 still right? I cant remember now
no
i never said that...
well that's the only "logic" that could lead to the conclusion that 3600c18 is inferior to 3200c16
Idk i think the power supply maxes out at 1600w /s
im just repeating what id been told by multiple people here
and it's also an incredibly common idea that's completely wrong
well then i'm telling you otherwise
B660 for ASRock goes up to 5000MHz
otherwise thered be no point in getting 4000mhz ram compared to 2333mhz ram for intel
ok
B660's limit is nothing
if you said "3600c18 is usually not worth it over 3200c16" then sure i agree
Can only get 3200 on locked board by using G2 (as we are talking about locks, it be any non mem OC board). Maybe they moved to G1 now, as Im pretty sure this was 11th gen. But idk
but saying "3600c18<3200c16" is objectively false
i'm running 3600 gear 1 on HM570 + non-K 11th gen CPU
laptop, sure, but 99% sure same rules apply to desktop
actually, 11th gen locked boards give you access to VCCSA still, while 12th gen doesn't
"3600c18<3200c16 in $/perf" has a chance of working too, if you're on an unlucky day
so it's kind of annoying on 12th since you just have to play lottery with what you can run on auto VCCSA
Sips why you got carter pcs in your pc smh
oh god imagine those gpu temps
Idk mobile, but H570 got mem OC stuff
explosion
bUt aSus sTrIx BeSt
No NVLINK tho
i think those cards have become asus asphyx not asus strix
Wait are they straight up just missing one connector per card while the PC is on?
Guess not. No PCB cutout for the connector. So those be 3070 Strix White then
Seller doesnt know what they are talking about. AMD GPUs dont have "CUDA Cores"
amd definitely uses nvidia cuda cores
@jagged ember I found a case for you lol
https://www.newegg.com/p/2AM-00GU-000B5 feast your eyes on this lol
Also they got the color wrong
why is the case the same color as the hair
That is what i said
@jagged ember I found a 3090 that no one in their right mind should ever buy
I could imagine that during the shortage
*saying who paid 2.4k for white strix 3090
2.5k for this white 3090 lol https://www.newegg.com/ax-rtx3090-x3w/p/1FT-0040-000W7
it was last year and gpu prices were really high
@ornate condor Tell me what do you see wrong with this picture https://www.newegg.com/p/1FT-0040-00177
looks like mix of tuf and rog lmao
Look at what it is and the price and why it costs less
This Corn company is really messed up
Howdy ho
oh it's retail price
I found the perfect GPU for a Spider-Man build but i wouldn't pay what they're asking for
https://www.newegg.com/p/1FT-0040-00167 if you vertically mount it
This is the only beautiful Asus card
I’ll settle for the Asus TUF myself
gundam
I like white strix more than gundam actually
I got gundam monitor but white strix 3090
There are Gundam and Neon Genesis Evangelion builds too you know
heres my build . I mean old build. I always forgetting to take current pic lol
Ya but Gundam is more popular
The Evangelion products are available for retail just yet
umm I really didn't like eva series
I wonder if there will be white strix 40 series
couse theres no white strix 3080 ti , 3080 12gb , and 3090ti
I wonder if it's discontinued
Id only care for the Evanelion parts if it was based off this one
@ornate condor i know you'd care as well if the system was like that one lol
lol I want vertical mount my white strix but idk if it will affect temps
and actually i'm too lazy for it lol
If your GPU would be up close to the side panel then the temps might get hotter
I honestly don't know what case you own so
its DT500
But for air cooled from what i seen in most cases tends to get hotter
You mean TD500?
coolermaster dt 500 white
not the best case but that was only one white case I found nearby lol
thinking about getting Lian li case tho
You got the name wrong https://www.coolermaster.com/catalog/cases/mid-tower/masterbox-td500-mesh-2021/
Design of the E-ATX MasterBox TD500 Mesh adds a new dimension to PC lighting through contour and form, providing custom-built systems a presentation beyond flat, two-dimensional panels. The Crystalline Tempered Glass side panel features a design that interacts with component lighting, precision engineered for both its toughness and its aesthetic...
lol
Also i think you might need to buy the mount for it
yeah its not included
Sadly I have the 3080 10g white strix
unicorn
Nothing wrong with that
I was looking for it for long but it was impossible to get one last year
thats why I got 3090 lol
In an all black and silver build with no other rgb/lights

It doesn't feel right
white strix deserves better
Quick replace your parts in this case but white https://lian-li.com/product/o11-dynamic-evo/
The rgb makes it stand out even more lmfao
It's bigger and more power hungry than my 3090
it deserves build like that
Ok guys, I was able to find all the part names and compile them to a list.. I am curious if the price is what it's worth or what you guys think it should be worth. Please don't suggest upgrades as I don't want to spend any money on this build (maybe a disc drive because there is a spot for one). The only use case this PC will have is Diablo 3 (think once a week if that.) and facebook/hulu/disney+. Most likely nothing else.
The Build - Intel Core i5-6500, Radeon RX 580
btw I love Trident Z Royals
I can't do flashy ram since I spent a good amount of ballistix black
I have enough RGB fans in my system that i don't need flashy memory lol
I might consider white fans or Arctic P12 argb fans
This is the kit i bought which you can daisy chain the fan header and the RGB https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B08HJPBFTF/?th=1
SickleFlow 120 V2 ARGB White Edition, is our signature cooling performance with a rejuvenated ARGB design, provides a specific air cooling solution. Revised curve blade design to improve airflow and air pressure. A refreshed frosted blade to enhance light dispersion for a more vibrant and lumines...
It is very quiet
For the ARGB header you can daisy chain them and then plug it into the ARGB header
for same price I would get current gen setup like this https://pcpartpicker.com/list/
PC Builder
I already have this PC. I bought it for $150. I am trying to get an actual price on it so I can sell it to my EX.
wrong link
She had wanted me to build her a pc with a $800 budget
but this will do what she wants for cheaper.
PC Builder - Intel Core i3-12100F, Radeon RX 6600, Deepcool MATREXX 55 MESH ATX Mid Tower
and she is willing to buy it. I just need to know a price.
what is a good price for a used 6800
500$ maybe 🤔
he didn't said 6800xt lol
used 6800 on ebay is like 550 -600
6800 is 700$
i want used tho
So still around 600$ in that ball park
When buying used it is always good to read everything on the page
couse theres 3080s for 700-800$ is aviable around
i only have a 650 watt psu

is 650 enough/
if it's A tier maybe
650 is the minimum that is recommended
if it's good one it can be enough I guess
its like a segotep thing
check your modell on tier list https://cultists.network/140/psu-tier-list/
If you're only playing games at 1080p why not just aim for a 6600 XT instead?
6600xt is eww lol
because i want a 6800
1fps with RT
its a b teir
Well if you want a 6800 i would suggest to upgrade your PSU as a just in case
my friend has a 1k watt psu so i could steal it from him
he has a 3700x and a gt 710
A tier 650w can handle it but lower tiers I doubt
lol why
idk
if you can steal it just steal it lol
Remember when there was a GPU shortage people only had the option for a GT710 or 1030
well he didnt know what to buy
lol 1030 was for 200$ tho
he spent a hundernd on it
I question that 1000w PSU then
igpu is better than 710 lmao
Maybe his dad knew it has problems for higher end parts
what?
Do you even know what PSU it is
If it would end up being this one i would worry a little https://www.newegg.com/apevia-prestige-series-atx-rp1000w/p/N82E16817148080
Apervia doesn't have the best rep when it comes to PSU's
yep
First 2 reviews isn't looking that promising
Is this accurate? No OCing is being done.
yeha
Some what but also you can't really OC the 6500
but if there is any problems with my computer when i get my 6800 i will know its the psu
right, I was just throwing that out there so there was no question that the power draw would have extra ykwim?
🔥
I got 850w for 12600k + 3080 aorus master

All the good reviews for that PSU seems for systems that could run with a 450w without any problems
but you thin k my pc would blow up/
can you link your current psu ?
me?
yup
i ran a 6800xt with a 3600 on an A tier 650
with ocing
i got a 12600k
its b teir
That RX 580 i would OC/UV it
ehh
80 PLUS GOLD Certified: It ensures your power supply doesn't waste power and turn it into excess heat.Under typical loads. The power is over 90% efficient or higher. Top Quality Protection: It comes with the most comprehensive protection set possible, including OVP, UVP, OPP, SCP, OCP and OTP. Stable Power: The GP
i wouldnt risk it
pretty sure its this
I never heard of that company
its B tier
well i didnt need anyhting over 650 until now
@mossy venture This is the PSU he wants to get off of his friend https://www.newegg.com/lepa-maxbron-b1000-mb-1000w/p/N82E16817494018
pls no

i never said i was going to get it
that would be the same as attaching a bomb to your pc
well he got a bomb
as close as Gigabyte hazard 750w bomb lol
so you think i should risk it
Well it is your funeral i mean PC
got gigabyte hazard 750w from shuffle bundle . I'm glad people here said its blowing up before I installed it lol
?
@ornate condor according to that tier list my PSU is a B
what psu
we know that
so it's lil bit risky
b tier psu is alright but not for max load
This was the PSU i was using before that one lol
thats what i had
thermaltake actually have good psus lol but not that smart series I guess lol
I just can't reccomend segotep currently since they have a crap ton of variations of the same model and you can't tell them apart until you have them in your hand
It's kinda like buying a sx8200 pro and expecting the performance stated on the sticker
I know they have good ones but at the time and budget i had i went for that one which was a Smart 600w but also i was using a 1660
well hmm
for 1660 even 500w is alright
what should i do/
I'd say upgrade psu if you can
And during that time it was buy that or wait 2 months with no PC
I mean its alright for 1660 lol
its not power hungry gpu
my dad were using 1660 with D tier 500w psu lmao
i had my 3060 ti running on a 500w E tier
🔥
i used to have a 30 dollar psu

currently have 1200w thermaltake toughpower and hoping it will be enough for 13900k + 4090
I had a i5 2500K from 2011 to 2018
i had a i5 2400 i3 9100f i5 9600k and now a 12600k
I don't remember full list lol
i have never used amd before
Oh if i go in the history of CPU's i owned then i had a Pentium II 400MHz, Pentium III 1GHz then a Core 2 Duo 2.66GHz, i5 2500K, Ryzen 5 2600 and now a i5 11400
like core 2 duo , i5 2400 , i3 6100, i5 9400 , ryzen 5 3600x , 10600k , 10700k , then 12600k and 12900k I think lmao
i5 2400 was a beast
I dont remember models of core 2 series lol
well 2500k was
2400 is still useful for daily usage lol
I remember the frequency of my Core 2 Duo only
not for gaming but for regular things
like gmail
Destiny 2 recommended lol
they only 15 dollars to
lol
i remeber i didnt know how to install windows
I remember I played battlefield 4 on 2400 + 1650 build lol
You know for 170$ i could of bought a Dell Optiplex with a i7 4790
it had 16gb of memory as well and a 256gb SSD
yeah I dont remember things when I had core 2duo stuff lol
GPU though i think was like a HD 64 something
I remember my first pc had 1GB of ram lmao
So you know i am speaking in Canadian dollars
oh
And also it is a optiplex
it was like core 2 duo i dont remember which one , 1gb ram = 512mb gpu lmao
Ya but with one that has a 4th gen i7 in it is still very good for modern gaming
Sure you can't really max out the games but still can play on high settings when using something like a GTX 1650 Super
https://www.game-debate.com/hardware/index.php?make=Intel&model=Core 2 Duo&type=Desktop Processor This might help you remember
I know mine was 2.66GHz i just don't know which one i also did have 4gb of memory and a Asus GT 8600
I played Crysis on that system lol
Game would crash every like 2 hours
I think its e6400 couse I see 8400 is released at 2008 but I bought it at 2007 lol
it had one 1gb ram and upgraded it to 3gb later lmao
mine would of been 2007 as well cause i remembered i bought WoW Burning Crusades and needed a new system to play it
I was literally just 10 years old thats why my dad bought it to me lmao
and you know it was really expensive in my country
I have been thinking of buying this for my system and yes i know it would be overkill for my CPU but it is white https://www.amazon.ca/CASTLE-240EX-WH-Technology-Motherboard/dp/B0943WD95Q/

White + RGB = even more fps
I was playing STALKER a lot lol it was out at 2007 as well
first game I was played
still playing it sometimes tho lol
The 3 games i was playing back in those days was WoW, Crysis and homefront
I think i might have Stalker on GoG
Wait no i don't lol
new stalker gonna release at end of year
Wow first stalker
it was scheduled for april but delayed till end of year
So even the cheapest core 2 duo at like 1.8GHz could play it
I dont even remember my gpu lo li think it was something 512mb lol
All 3 stalker games are the same system requirements
maybe it was 8600gt
Requirement just means the game will open
Reason: Bad word usage
Reason: Too many infractions
Well we witness someone getting banned lol
Reccomended/ideal usually give a half playable expirience tho
spam ?
Those requirements i showed are the minimum lol
I need to play more CP2077 lol
people were using bigass monitors back then in my country lmao
I used a LCD monitor i forgot the resolution
1440x900
I think mine was more like 1024x768 cause it was a 4:3 monitor
oh mine was 16;9 i think lol
@mossy venture what do you think of these speakers https://www.amazon.ca/dp/B0877BPCJM/
I want to go bluetooth on speakers
@ornate condor Do you know anything about speakers?
Ya i am using Logitech now but a cheaper model of it which the sound is alright but i was thinking of going for bluetooth so i can play around with the positioning more
I dont like bluetooth couse latency lol
If i have a 1050 paired with a r7 5700g should i take my 1050 out
i mean i could get a 3060 ti
The EVGA one is actually good, MSI one is pretty damn bad
i have a question, why cant this build be assembled with the assembly service, i dont quite understand why some products are off the hook and some are not. https://newegg.io/aaee9dc
Oh god, first of all why a 2000 dollar build and only a 3060?
You can easily get a 3080 within that budget
i dont need a 3080, and the mother board is the one from sub 2.5k same with the m.2 drive
how about I get 2 x 8 gb of ram cause i already got 2 x 8, then i buy the ssd, replace my cpu and get the 3080
But why waste 2k on a 3060 build? If all you want is a 3060 build then spend a lot less on it
Not a single 3060 build is worth anywhere close to 2k
Just need to note it's horribly overpriced but most likely something is sold by someone other than Newegg, which means Newegg doesn't hold the stock and therefore they don't have it on hand to build with
Honestly imo I’d just get this https://www.newegg.com/abs-ali583/p/N82E16883360218
Or this if you don’t care about open box https://www.newegg.com/abs-ali560-master/p/N82E16883360190R
the ram is probably the only half decent idea in that build if that
actually I got no idea about the monitor tbh, price seems ok
i don't do intel, just personal preference, more so looking for a water cooled pc
I finally settled on the perfect case
With the mesh front, LANCOOL II MESH making great airflow in the chasis, Packing three ARGB PWM 120mm fans effectively cooling the component in user's PC build and able to control by the botton on the I/O port. 9 drive mounting space and supports 384mm maximum GPU length and 176mm maximum hight clearence.Sollution for the cable management with d...
Big seller was the HD rack slider, so I can make 100mm of space for a front mounted AIO
I would recommend if you get that case to get it in black
You have no idea how quick white for that stains lol
Yeah I've spilled a few cups of coffee here
Minsc & Boo are suffocating on top of that 1060
You realize performance is performance and neither is better.
Just at this moment 12th gen is a better idea since it is cheaper than 5000 series equivelants
Water cooling a low-mid end build is also stupid, it's wasting money on parts that won't utilize it
Truth is that AIO isn't enough, I rebuilding in a larger case to cool my Ryzen 5800X3D and fit a Asus TUF RTX 3080
That's like saying I only like oak trees and not white oak
5700g also has no place in a build with a dgpu
It loses to a 5600 and costs more
@mossy venture I tried using the Asus Fan Expert 4 to tune the AIO, big mistake.
I've no clue what that means
Actually the 5800X3D beats the 5600X in Cinebench MultiThread, and does wonders for my Star Wars Squadrons game sustaining 144 fps in 1080p max settings on a 1060
@mossy venture did someone change your name lol
I said 5700g
Ofcourse a 5800x3d beats a 5600x...
It rivals a 12900ks in single core
.
Their build list is a 5700g and 3080 10gb
Next upgrade after the 3080 is a 32 inch 1440p gaming monitor
I feel like you're having a conversation with yourself and I'm just witnessing it
And you look like a Brian but who's complaining.
I still don't know what anything you've said means
That pfp isn't me if that's what you're talking about
For that build i am looking at with the 5700G i honestly would add in another CPU cooler since it comes with a Wraith Stealth cooler which is ok but if he plans on overclocking in the future that will be cooked
5700g doesn't have any place in a 3080 build
At all
5600 is cheaper and better
Let alone 12600k
i regret buying my 5700g
As you should
Not even worth it over 5600g if doing an apu build
2 extra cores and no other perf gains
Id buy a 5700G but only if i was buying the ASRock Deskmini
Two more cores that won't be utilized
I bought the kids the 5600X and passed down my 3600XT
5700G is trash for dgpu build lol
Mhm
The cache cut severely cuts its perf
5700X is a thing
What's a dgpu
Which is 12600k perf, just more expensive
Dedicated gpu
Yes but isn't that a cut down 5800X
But they don't like to listen to common sense and are dead set on buying amd
No
It's 200mhz slower and maybe 2% worse
^
It's better to get 5700X than 5800X
Can actually be cooled with a decent heatsink
I'd like to see a Ryzen 5000XT but that isn't happening
Whereas 5800x almost requires an aio
Would be no point
on pc part picker my build with the 6800 is only 594 watts
I bought a 5700g cause I didn't think I was gonna use a gpu at first
65 watt TDP vs 105 Watt TDP
3000xt had no point either, other than a money grab
They were hotter alternatives for very small gains over the non xt versions
3600xt is like 5% better than 3600
don't really trust that, a 750w psu is a recc imo
3900xt just a hotter 3900x and is maybe 3% better
I cool the kids 5600X with leftover FX-8350 Wraith Prism RGB Coolers
Spikes exist
ye
tbf though if something was to happen to his GPU at least he could use the 5700G iGPU for the time being until said GPU comes back from being RMA'd
But the cpu perf is so much worse
at that point
Amd igpus have no place in dgpu builds
get 12600k lol
i think ima take my chances
12600k is $270 and better
if igpu is backup
MUCH better
and stick with my 650 watt
it'll do fine
That's a stupid choice
but after maybe 2 weeks then i will buy new
But you do you
just kinda pushing it
becasseu im poor
If cost is a factor i would go down to a 12400
i have a 12600k
12600k is cheaper than 5700g lol
it took me 3-4 weeks to get
and that was 230 dollars
and now im spending 500-550 on new gpu
now to get that it took me a good 2-2.5 months to get
so i have to wait a good 1-2 weeks so i can get a new psu
Ebay has refurbished 850 watt modular Sea Sonic psu's for like 60 bucks
i want to buy brand new tho
yup
Understood, I built like 8 kid gaming rigs so I cut cost where I can
what's a good psu for like 100-130
No new Corsair psu's are bombs
um, no
Revo df
Every Corsair product I've ever purchased "1 AIO and three PSU" are either dead in the box or a day or so afterwards
bad luck
is the gskill mb750g a good psu?
i have never heard of that
Best purchase I ever made was a warrenty so I swapped that defective Corsair for a EVGA model that's been operational since then
corsair makes good psus, it's just that your luck didn't do well with that one
they do make some bad stuff, like cv and vs lineup but that's it these days
what would happen if you buy a psu and its bad and your pc gets fried is it the componanys fault?
Maybe Best Buy stocked only crappy Corsair PSU's
um, well.. yes
would they have to pay for it?
but you can't do much about it unless their warranty policy covers other parts too
ahh
Actually when Comp USA was in business I bought a bad mobo and psu from them
what happened after?
They made me buy tools and disassemble the pc to test and confirm what I already told them
Did you get your stuff repaired?
So PSU testers became my best friend
Complete replacements
I passed that AM3 FX990 to the kids ages ago after I upgraded to a X570 mobo
Get any A tier psu off the tier list pinned in the #cases-psu-and-cooling chat
Mpg, d.f, rm, rmx, earthwatts, leadex iii tend to be my go tos
G5 is pretty solid also* (price dependent obviously), and get the nutto 10-12 yr evga warranty/service,.
yea my bad, meant G6. Funny my near 4 yr old G3 is better than the G5 so I wish it wasn't only a 650w, but oh well.
Could someone make a pc list for 1440p ultra gaming for 1600 AUD
What games do you expect to play at that resolution and detail?
Because unless you can get a 3080 for 800 aud that's not likely on games like cp2077 or flight sim
@junior crescent
If you're just playing CSGO or Fortnite that's much easier
i forget how amd cards are priced in australia
That's because they're rarely in stock
Pcpp says 6800 XT for 1169-1200
not awful
But still 3/4 of their budget
yeah
vanya now
Just say the word
Yes do it they were mean to me
:(
oh btw
find the issue here
its a funny issue im ngl
Pain
Can't zoom in enough
there bettr pic
Pretty sure that's not right lol
yeah
I know asus FP sucks but come on
they vertical instead of horizontal
mans reset and power buttons be like
mans shorting the speaker to gnd instead of powering pc on
They've also got the power LED on the HDD pins
I did that on purpose once. Never again. That's a bright freaking light flashing super fast.
shouldnt be making rookie mistakes like this imo
ALWAYS triple check front panel connectors with mobo manual
Must have never touched an Asus board before. Their FP header really is bad.
Takes up so much room for no reason at all
i mean it does also clearly say pwr switch there
below a horizontal line
pointing to correct pins
I agreeee
building my asus pc was a nightmare
never again
oh did i tell you about the trash bios update for my b560 tuf?
No, what happened?
basically if the pc was booted up after it was switched on, it always used to go to asus overclock failed page with the press f(something) to go to bios or press f(something else) to boot default values
but if i went to bios, kept the same values and booted from there, it used to work fine
mind you the only oc i had was a 3600c18 oc for c die
no issues there
reverting to older bios fixed all issues
it was so dumb
literally overclock failed error at jdec too
like bruh show me what oc i have on
then tell me its failed
anyway asus board has been the worst to work with
i will not be buying another one in the future
Sounds like typical beta bios problems. I avoid that when possible.
bruh their wifi antenna isnt even magnetic
it wasnt a beta bios
it was latest non beta
💀
Well then their firmware QC sucks, but I guess that's to be expected
I'm just glad I haven't had issues like that with any of my boards. I stick with MSI when possible. They have their own shenanigans, like mine has 3 different overclocking menus that do the same thing, don't update the others, and one is in hex, but I can live with that.
Im gonna stick to gigabyte because thats what im comfortable with
Gigglebit
My only hands on experience with msi has been with a very very low end board so im not gonna form opinions based off it
Their good stuff is good, but their not good stuff is awful
Like the aorus boards are actually really nice
But then you have the DS3H
The X670 one they announced?
x570 taichi is disappointing tbh
Ah, yeah that's their higher end stuff without getting too crazy. It's pretty good.
looks wise
S tier VRMs though
X570
Intel does not get along with asrock, especially on the low end. Artificially throttling power limits below base spec? WTF
B550
Also S tier
b550 taichi is hawt
It is vury nice
"Great" being relative
ArseRock
as a whole pretty good
You can just say Assrock
They've all got that clock theme going, that one is just too subtle
IMO the best high end amd board rn price to perf wise is this one
Steel legend aren't terrible on intel at least but still not great
Yeah those angles 🥵
its pretty much no compromises as well
its built well and has the feature set and quality of boards that cost twice what it does
look at the io
🥵
Meh
Just wait 'til next gen, when we have 14 USB 3.0 ports from the chipset
i know im so excited for it
And USB 4.0 is going to be a game changer
i mean im still excited for it even if i wont adopt for 3-4 more years minimum
No but really, what do most people use the USB C ports for? VR headsets. What's holding them back right now? Cable quality and bandwidth.
Stick that sheet on what's essentially a USB+TB4 port and you solve both at once
Boom, you've got bandwidth to spare for 4k VR
I will say tho that the one feature intel has over amd is tb
i hope tb comes to amd soon
and not on only very high end boards with add on intel chip
And that feature is losing it's advantage with the coming of USB 4.0 that includes TB4 in the spec
40Gbps max
It's not quite true thunderbolt but it does have the same bandwidth and does support displays
I think they're working on handhelds first now that RDNA2 mobile is a thing, VR will be the logical next step
eh close enough then
appl vr headset soon
RealityOS apple headset best
all other headsets trash
AlternateRealityOS is what they're living in if they think that'll take off
apple is actually gonna be the one who revolutionised and created vr very soon in an apple event
all other companies are gonna be the ones who copied them many years before they released theirs
because apple moment
Sounds awfully familiar... Where have I heard that before... OH YEAH https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tesla_Cybertruck
The Tesla Cybertruck is a battery electric light-duty truck announced by Tesla, Inc. in 2019. Three models have been announced, with EPA range estimates of 400–800 kilometers (250–500 mi) and an estimated 0–100 km/h (0–62 mph) time of 2.9–6.5 seconds, depending on the model. The stated goal of Tesla in developing the Cybertruck is to provide a su...
I mean what did u expect tbh it starts with cyber just like cyberpunk 2077

300$ extra
"We're going to revolutionize the industry with the first of its kind!"
Doesn't launch until after 6 others have
im talking purely about launch behaviour
Too little too late, all those refunds didn't turn into re-buys
nothing else
Skyrim launch day level of wack
im hella hyped for my 6750xt tomorrow
I installed control and I only get to look at game crash screens
LOL
yeah thats why i instalkled
it looks only marginally different in almost all other games
For the 5-10 minutes I can play at a time yes, it is a great RT and DLSS showcase
Unfortunately even when I dial down settings I get "out of video memory" errors, with a 3080 ti
Time to buy an a6000
See that's the thing, it's only using 5-6 gb
truuuu hes an adult, he has adultneys now
3 times isn't spamming, it's the limit
U cant mute me i have cute cat pfp
thats how it works
Nooooooooo
yes
bananable?
i dont wanna get bananaed
You can't fool the mods
:(
We all know it's a car now
My car
G'night
My car in his garage
Built Furred Tough ™
Wow lol
I can't believe I've done this
i'm thinking about building a gaming pc but I have no experience, budget maybe 1200 dollars or something? I want to be able to play games like csgo, doom, hollow knight well but i'm not sure how much that would cost, any advice for builds?
You could do a 3060 build for that budget, should do all those nicely.
Build chat being like gen chat. a bunch tonight :kekw:
thanks, any specific builds you would recommend?
Working on a list now
PC Builder - Intel Core i5-12600K, Radeon RX 6600 XT, Corsair 4000D Airflow ATX Mid Tower
Should be able to play just about anything you toss at it
If you want to cut the budget down a bit you can get a 12400f instead of the 12600k
thank you
Your budget is too low for 1440p ultra gaming but this is the best you can do for ~1600 aud
https://au.pcpartpicker.com/list/RxRbpH
PC Builder - Intel Core i5-12400F, GeForce RTX 3070 LHR, Cougar MX330 ATX Mid Tower
Smh why where you sleeping on job don't need to know off top of head just pcpp it
yis but lazy
Smh
Lol they've been significantly cheaper in aus as of late
are phanteks aios good?
They're fine but not good enough to buy imo
For value/perf, evga aio
For performance arctic liquid freezer (rgb)/ek rgb/lian li galahad
Hello
I had a question
What are the average temps for arctic eSports duo with a 5600x?
Look at a review it should give you a rough idea
Ok
So you guys might know the pc I just built I'm haveing heat issues with my 12600k useing a Thermaltake th240
under what load, and what temps are you getting
Loading cyberpunk and just driving around is 90-95
any oc? and what case?
No oc and a p360 airflow this is without glass front panel
https://pcpartpicker.com/product/d2fmP6/evga-clc-280-1135-cfm-liquid-cpu-cooler-400-hy-cl28-v1 could get this
Why
and replace the fans with arctic p12s
because its a better cooler
Thats just not necessary
i mean the fans on the aio
also p14s*
might want to try remounting the cooler and redoing the thermal paste
Wow, that's crazy. I'd suggest repasting and mounting your cooler. What method did you use to paste your heatsink? Also.. did the heatsink come with a thin plastic cover film that maybe you didn't notice and didn't take off?
