OpenRGB had an issue where it was bricking the rgb on MSI boards. They disabled most of the functionality to combat that. You can edit the code (uncomment the MSI stuff basically) and compile it if you want to take a chance.

Pressure test with air before you put liquid into it. If air leaks, water will leak.
Soft tubing is good to start out with while hard tubing looks better and lasts longer. (less plastic dissolves into the liquid)
A fill bottle might just save you from dumping water all over your PC.

Oh also, a drawn schematic of where the liquid will be flowing and in what direction can be good to reduce waste and clutter.

this may seem illogical at first but the 5800x is actually harder to cool than the 5900x and 5950x

at some point no matter how good your cooling is the bottleneck is going to be heat transfer rate from the cores to the cooler

5800x heat density is so high that you'll hit 90C under a 360mm aio at around 165 watts

meanwhile on an intel 14nm chip such as 10900K the same aio may be able to sustain over 300 watts

in the situation of a high heat density 5800x, 240mm aio + lapping + liquid metal might outperform 360mm aio + thermal paste
