And firecuda 520 is just a bog standard e16 drive, it's just faster for seq, sn570 should be faster for rnd
Oh nice ik it was good but didn't think it would be noticeably better over a b tier drive
Although sn570 sustained is kinda bad
Seems sequential is often mostly for ego. Random is what we really want
It's like a P31 but in bursts
Also the 520 is an a tier so it would be an "upgrade" but doubt they would even notice
Oh damm
Seq is good for like editors and for downloading games i guess but fairly useless to most gamers
Its just a bog standard e16 drive imo, it's in A tier for the seq and decently good at rnd
fair
Windshields prob didn't put sn570 in tier A because pretty tiny SLC cache so bad sustained but yea
Is good for most people
Just not for large file transfers and such
ahh
Tbf SLC cache smaller than I thought, just 12gb, but not too bad sustained and recovers quick because small
Is rx580 at 4 gb better than gtx 1060 with 3 gb vram?
Got both at around the same price and trying to decide which is worth the buy. I'm guessing rx580 should be better cuz of the slightly better vram?
the 1060 is a bit better
Stronger core outperforms more vram
Alright thanks
What’s best trading desktop? Thanks
Uhh what's the budget
Try f1
800$
Was talking to the other guy
$2k-$3k
Jeez ehh how serious will you be trading lol, also prebuilt or diy
I have 1pc , needs one more , okay , forget about budget. Needs nice one (6-8 monitors ) xe ez trading , falcon, orbital build around $4-$5k.
@fossil cedar
I pressed f1
And it came up as the same thing
Help
Someone
@fossil cedar
jeesus calm
did you try enter?
Yes
try f8
what resolution monitors?
I love winter...
But
I miss making money from mowing lawns I cant upgrade my pc
4 and see whats worng
u don't need to upgrade a 3060/5600x do you?
No i just want sleeved cables and a vertical mount
maybe a new gaming chair
don't get a gaming chair
2560 x 1440 -27”-32”
at least a better chair than a $100 one of of amazon that sounds like im farting every time I move
@fossil cedar
don't get a gaming chair at all. get a decent office chair and your back will thank you
Nah
Are you running an overclock or mixed ram?
Okay 1 sec
hey, how much storage do you want?
@noble moat https://pcpartpicker.com/list/nDQVqp you could add more storage if its needed but this should do just fine for 8 monitors
@fossil cedar no not that I know off
I'd try go into bios and turn off xmp then see if that helps
try oc settings
do you have a different pc you can make a new windows install usb on?
Yes
And I have to rebuy windows 10?
nope
https://www.microsoft.com/en-gb/software-download/windows10 run this and put it on the usb
Ssd - 1T enough for me
then id go with the link i sent you
maybe 64gb of ram if you dont need 128
but idk how intensive the trading stuff is on ram
Yeah , Ram 64 or 128 is good , but graphic card 4gb little small , no?
Note:The ARCTIC Liquid Freezer II 360 56.3 CFM Liquid CPU Cooler may require a separately available mounting adapter to fit the MSI PRO Z690-A DDR4 ATX LGA1700 Motherboard.
Note:Some physical dimension restrictions cannot (yet) be automatically checked, such as cpu cooler / RAM clearance with modules using tall heat spreaders.
(Flag issues/incompatibilities as incorrect.)
And I’m seeing problems
Nope that's perfectly fine
Yeah with Intel 12th gen being new the bracket isn't in many coolers you can contact arctic and they can send you out a lga1700 bracket
Thanks a lot for your help sir
No problem
980 throttles down after 360ish GB sustained? Not too bad, but yikes at that long line near sata speeds. Thnx for previous pic. Shows almost any nvne is a great choice for most game use. 🤘
https://www.newegg.com/global/uk-en/g-skill-16gb-288-pin-ddr4-sdram/p/N82E16820232880 anyone know when/if this is going to be on sale? i keep checking every so often for the past year and price doesn't seem to be moving (one of the two sticks messed up when i was building my pc and i was waiting for a sale to get more RAM sticks lol)
any info would be appreciated, tyty
https://www.newegg.com/g-skill-16gb-288-pin-ddr4-sdram/p/N82E16820232882 the one you sent was a third party seller
oh wait no it wasnt, it was just cas 16 not 18
Not trying to use 3 sticks are ya? Maybe just aim for a 2x16GB set instead?
@fossil cedar @bold turret - thanks guys for the tips - gonna buy in new year, once I get back home. Hate to order now, not get them, and have them sit for days on the porch 😉
i have one stick working rn out of the two i bought last year, so i was waiting for it to go on sale so i can just get two sets and then use 4 sticks or something lol
4sticks are ok if not OCing but generally not suggested these days unless a 4x kit. 2 kits might not cooperate well & 4x8 is often $20+ more than 2x16GB
ooh okay, thanks for the tip, i'll just get the one pack then
No problem
question, is 1600 too low for a build these days?
1600 usd? no thats a fine price depending on the type of machine you want
other currencies, might be a little rough
yeah USD sorry, i do some gaming but nothing intense i think? my gaming laptop died so i figured its time to try a desktop.
yeah youll be able to find some good pc's around that price. people recommend abs for the most part here for a pre-built but theres potentially other stuff out there too
is prebuilt generally good or should i venture into building it myself(this option kinda intrigues me)
currently right now in this market, buying a prebuilt is the better option. if you can find a gpu at a good price, then you can venture into building a pc yourself.
if you really really want to build a pc now, nzxt has a bld kit where they ship you a big box with all the pc parts and you build it yourself and they even give you some tools and a colored step by step guide on building a pc however youd need to replace the power supply for it since its not that great of a power supply. but overall its a decent price for what you get as well as experience
and also youd have to buy more storage if you need it, think it comes with a single 1tb nvme
whats a good gpu and cpu for build budget of 1k?
Usd probably 10th or 11th gen i5
If USD, cpu pick could be the 10400 for $155ish currently. mobo has tons of choices and ram quite a few options. Much else is personal choice.
hello
ASUS TUF Gaming NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060 Ti V2 OC Edition Graphics Card (PCIe 4.0, 8GB GDDR6, LHR, HDMI 2.1, DisplayPort 1.4a, Dual Ball Fan Bearings, Military-Grade Certification, GPU Tweak II)
ASUS ROG Strix NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060 V2 OC Edition Gaming Graphics Card (PCIe 4.0, 12GB GDDR6, HDMI 2.1, DisplayPort 1.4a, Axial-tech Fan Design, 2.7-Slot, Super Alloy Power II, GPU Tweak II)
I already answered you
3060 ti is much better
Because people price things stupid
If you insist on not believing me or pato
Comparing NVIDIA RTX 3060 Ti with NVIDIA RTX 3060: technical specs, games and benchmarks.
My question to you us
Why ask for help if you won't listen to it lmao
Ti is more expensive
The problem is that the one with the most beautiful colors
My guy
If you want to waste money on pretty colors
Go ahead
But the 3060 ti is much better
if you live near and mircocenter and have time to enter their weekly raffles then hell yeah
build it
@fossil cedar Alright Pato, I’m doing it! I’m finally building my actual PC and need parts. I’m going for 4K gaming with no compromises whatsoever. I’m dead serious, I want to go all out. My Budget is Legitimately $5,000 for the Craziest, No Compromise 4K beast of a build you can make, 3 Monitors, the Craziest Keyboard, and the best Drag Clicking mouse you can possibly dream up. You can use scalped prices, because I’m all in on this.
There’s a asus strix 3090 on the shuffle for $2299 is that reasonable?
Yeah
Its MSRP is $1,499 but seeing scalping prices as of late you might as well
That's the founders msrp
Not the strix
Ok thanks
Whoops, didn’t see the strix part
That's about average price for any 3090 atm
Pato I’m sincerely convinced you’re an incredibly intelligent AI
Incredibly intelligent is accurate
You’re up 24/7 literally whenever I need help you’re always here to provide god tier knowledge
I’m just trying to figure out how in the world he manages it
Just gaming?
Rgb?
Wifi?
5k including the monitors will have compromises now. ;P
Just Gaming! No fancy RGB or Cool case needed, just the most god-tier stats available are needed. Wifi is wonderful
Not really
One 4k monitor with two 1080p sides, leaves 3.5k for the pc
@fossil cedar y’know what, he’s right; Make it $6,000 with monitor included
Are you streaming? Do you care for Raytracing? Do you care for DLSS 2.0?
No streaming! I just want to load up 4K (and eventually 8k) gaming with every single possible physical setting turned up to max
And yes Raytracing would be amazing
I’d be going for the closest graphical thing to real life
Indistinguishable from reality
Ah. Was trying to see if you could go Team Red. 6900xt has good performance but lacks NVENC(for streaming) and a decent method of doing Raytracing.
Okay
6900xt is also a bit more readily available online compared to the 3090. (Non scalped...sorta)
I have to be honest, I have a baseless bias for intel. I’ve always felt that intel cares for quality over quantity over everything else
I’ve done little research on the difference between the two, to be quite honest. Would you tell me more?
3090 and 6900 XT are the two highest end (basically to the point of ridiculousness) GPU's for this generation. 3090 however is definitely aimed more towards creators as well, with it having mostly the same gaming performance as the 3080 ti.
https://pcpartpicker.com/list/Nf6sbh leaves 3k for 2 more monitors and a GPU 😅 non RGB build. Unless the Mobo has lights on it.
@fossil cedar how'd i do^
Not that a 12900k is needed for gaming. 😅
For 4k I'd say 12700k just to leave more for better monitors but looks good
To me anyways
Patos better at parts lists ofc
Also maybe less ssd storage
I’d do something like this https://pcpartpicker.com/list/4JvnsX
EK-basic AIO just performs worse than the D-RGB one
You can always turn off the RGB if you don’t want it
Samsung 980 pro has a bit better rand IO than the SN850 iirc
12700K and 12900K have virtually identical single core performance
LETS GOOO
Did you need more money for the scalped DDR5? I can secretly do $8,000 max
How is that Adata m2? I was thinking about buying it but didn’t really see any benchmarks
Mixing kits that high even if same kit is risky, 12900k not needed, ek basic isn't as good as rgb, p500a digital same price 2 more fans, psu overspending also gigabyte ddr4 z690 boards are having mem training issues @vague oracle
Fast ddr4 is better
S tier
Ah, do you guys think I should just wait until QUALITY ddr5 becomes commonplace?
At least right now currently ddr5 is not up to standards?
Nope
That’ll take a couple years i think
In that case time to buy
Probably will also get cheaper down the line
true
This is actually the coolest build I’ve seen in forever
It’s a shame that the 3090 is $3,200 something dollars
Could’ve afforded two other of those 31 inch 4K monitors if it wasn’t
Thats a placeholder price if you buy from a scalper
Did EVGA fix their problems with the fan controller killing the card?
if you live near a Microcenter or Best buy, or get lucky on Wegg you can get a 3090 for sub 2300
I LIVE NEXT TO A BEST BUY
next drop will be in January probably.
Perfect! If you wait on line early enough you should be able to get one for MSRP
as long as you aren't overclocking the FE should be fine cooling wise huh? after you replace the thermal pads?
Not sure how the stock cooling is, I immediately waterblocked mine
Which waterblock did you get?
Yeah
Read the pins in #graphics-cards for a guide on how to buy not scalped
I got one of the bykski ones
I’m thinking of replacing it for something a bit more high quality
I might get one of the Alphacool AIO kits from Alphacool
not super super risky here since we know its for sure rev e
so while you may lose some oc potential, it still should run at rated xmp
Yeah ik but still some risk of xmp not working
all 3000+ 2x8 ballistix with the exception of the 5100 kit are Rev E
iirc the 5100 is rev n
but def better chances of working than buying lpx or an unknown die kit
Ofc ya just saying not good practice etc
yea
Replacing my 2070S with an Asus ROG strix 3080 OC
$1700 with shipping
Should be here on 26th
Here's hoping it actually works
Omg you heavily overpaid
I originally was gonna get a 240mm liquid cooled 3080ti Asus ROG strix
This was $2000 cheaper
But still better than a HP Blower 2070S
Debatable at that price
I thermal throttle at 80°
I can only get 1500mhz boost clock
And I paid $800 for the 2070S
So ....
Asus is newer, more VRAM, faster, and better cooled
And can OC easier
Gonna sell my 750w PSU and get a 1000W from best buy
But hey if it's fhr he got a deal
Plus factor in strix tax
Should I get a 1000w Corsair for $190 or 1200w Corsair for $300
After I sell my old gpu and psu
why do you need a 1000-1200w psu?
So I don't need to upgrade again in the future
Atleast for a while
I have a 750w rn
by future you mean the next 50 years? what pc is gonna need 1200w with a single gpu in it lol
im just messin. if you feel like you need it go for it lol
https://pcpartpicker.com/product/QdFbt6/evga-supernova-g6-1000-w-80-gold-certified-fully-modular-atx-power-supply-220-g6-1000-x1why not just go with smth like this? alot cheaper
4090 probs
oof
Was gonna do best buy as it's right next door to where I live
They always have a 1000w in stock
https://pcpartpicker.com/product/Qgx2FT/phanteks-revolt-x-1200w-80-platinum-certified-fully-modular-atx-power-supply-ph-p1200ps im not recommending\ this cus idk if its good but look how curvy it is lol
im running a ryzen 5 5600x on a x370 board😈
Phanteks amp for 130
It's good
How good are they compared to Corsair?
Tbh, I thought about upgrading and staying Asus
True
Hx plat 1200w for 220$ of Amazon atm
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01MZ8A8NW
The CORSAIR HX Series gives you extremely tight voltages and virtually silent operation. With all Japanese capacitors, they're ideal for high performance PCs where reliability is essential. 80+ Platinum efficiency reduces operating cost and excess heat, and together with the Zero RPM Fan Mode, gi...
20$ cheaper, same tier
hello
Soo, I was messing around in the bios and I noticed my dram frequency was pretty low. So I bumped it up to the memory frequency thinking that was the memory frequency menu. I clicked save and now my system won't post. My Memory frequency is 3600 mhz so I'm guessing dram is that times 2 so yeah I don't what to do now
Yea
Clear cmos
Alright
Thanks, forgot cmos resets bios settings to factory 😅
:)
Just keep in mind the memory frequency is half of the transfer rates the sticks are advertised at
Yeahh I learned that after I switched it lol
Yo
Is this good or no
I was comparing it to https://www.newegg.com/abs-ali473-gladiator/p/N82E16883360058R
One is 300$ more which kinda disqualifies it
Oh wait nvrm wrong one I mean this one instead of the first one https://www.bestbuy.com/site/cyberpowerpc-gamer-xtreme-desktop-intel-core-i7-11700f-16gb-memory-nvidia-geforce-rtx-3060-ti-1tb-hdd-500gb-ssd-black/6481354.p?skuId=6481354&ref=NS&loc=101
100$ more for a worse GPU and for cyberpower is a no
@rugged sparrow there's also just
https://youtu.be/M68aE1za_Ak
Cyberpower's Gamer Xtreme i3200BST almost didn't suck. It was close to being a good pre-built gaming PC, but it is at least a good foundation. We're testing thermals, gaming, & quality.

My dad is buying it for me and is skeptic about open box
your dad clearly isnt a true gamer 💔
Then go for smth like
https://www.newegg.com/abs-ali559/p/N82E16883360189
@rugged sparrow point is cyberpower suck so don't go for them unless they're really cheap and you can swap out problematic things
Abs tend to be decent
im pretty sure all open boxes are checked they work, and if it doesnt, just send it back lol
Just go with the 1500$ new 3060ti abs prebuilt if parent doesn't want open box
@stoic island I know the cpu cooler is bad, can I replace the cpu cooler? And what else is wrong with cyber power
For regular mobos you can pick from dozens of coolers
Why not just grab the NEW ABS prebuilt here if you need it to be new
https://www.newegg.com/abs-ali559/p/N82E16883360189
And cyberpower uses bad parts, bad case, bad cooler, bad PSU, that kinda thing
I was thinking about getting an i7 to do 3D rendering and editing
12600 > 11700, mostly. Extra cores/thread deffo help w/ the cpu-based programs that can use em, for sure.
would i encounter issues downloading a chipset too many times?
Where can I get a low profile 750 ti that ships to new Zealand for under 90 usd
im running an OCed 3900X on a b450 board
ebay
Damn didn’t win the shuffle… what are the chances is it hard?
If I do get it, I gotta wait a few months until a family member comes back with it too so that also means I have like 3 months to see if I can get lucky as well
😈 we are some computer devils
and i run it OCed 😈
Shipping is 50 dollars and over from us
What’s best for trading + gaming + mining?
Well first you'll need a pickaxe
What Motherboard is the best for a Ryzen 9 5900X
sometimes i just open pcpartpicker and build things like this for fun, any critiques? this was intended to be an entry 1080p gaming setup
this was the first fully modular gold rated one i saw
i guess bronze would work out fine
ty for the input, ill change it
I mean if you really want fully modular, bitfenix 750 is like $60
How good are Antec and aresgame PSUs?
only saved 5 bucks with the cx550
i think aresgame isn't terrible
not sure about antec, haven't heard much about them
Looking for a 1000w 80+gold/plat psu
Aresgame is a solid meh
In limited testing it looks to have working protections
But then again you have them lying like crazy about the efficiency rating so who knows
Might get the Corsair HX Plat 1000w then
EVGA P2 is pretty nice
Or evga Super Nova G6 1000w gold
I'm getting thru Amazon since I use their drop box hub thingy
The G6 1000w is 30% off rn
Oh
Depends what country but I'd consider getting 12700k nowadays
Semi-mod isn't bad tbh w/ only mobo and maybe cpu power hardwired. Also, many bronze units are very good. 80+ gold mainly just makes electric bill slightyly lower
What about gamemax PSUs?
Please don't pay that much for a 1650 and get msi bazooka b560 for the motherboard
Antec had some of the best psus but idk about currently
That's gonna be a no from me dog
im just going off of what pcpartpicker offers me
?

these are just for fun, workin examples of different budgets yknow
Especially with a pgm
It makes your electric bill super super low
Don't gotta worry about power for years
@limber oyster reference this for PSUs just get the cheapest a tier imo, ie phanteks amp
👍
Was ist dast? Aka what's that?
Then you might as well buy a better prebuilt for less money
Even a bitfenix would prolly be cheaper
Hella cheap
Not for 1000w
Oh yeah they looking for 1kw
What's your budget? And no they're not
I still think they should grab a P2 but they only using Amazon so rip
P2 is like 150 on evga
im not on a budget really, just learning how to spec pcs in my off time
its pretty fun
P2 OOS
getting insight is nice too, so ty for that
Not on evga
Ahh
@soft arch if you're looking for around 1k this is a steal https://www.newegg.com/abs-ali564-master/p/N82E16883360194R
But yeah, I sleep all day so for expensive stuff I use the Amazon hub drop box
We are abs customer support
Lol
Abs is newegg
Now if shipping arrives on my day off I'll do some other retailer, otherwise I almost exclusively use Amazon
Don't insult us 😭😭😭😭
Their customer support is fine and they're build quality is good so you won't need it really anyway
thats a big talk but hey respect that
*we are
👍
I'll get the AMP
Kinda want to stick with an Asus PSU tho ngl
Asus psu??
??
I have a 750w 80+ gold fully modular psu rn
But I'm getting a 3080 so...gonna need to upgrade psu
What CPU?
^
7 3700x
You'd prolly be fine with a 750 tbh
Why?!?
Mine was $50 brand new
What model?
I also have a ton of RGB and such
rgb is like nothing lmao
I have a 750w 80+ gold fully modular psu rn
RGB doesn't take much
Which model tho
I just said which model twice
What model tho that means little to nothing
750 works for my build, and the 5900x is a hungry lil guy
Rog strix
That's not a model that's like saying the model of my laptop is a 15" lenovo lol
Oh then that's a good psu
Asus ROG strix
Should be a tier iirc
There ya go
I kinda want to get a higher power ROG strix psu
why strix lmao
Why not
dont pay a premium for gamer branding
My GPU is Asus, my Mobo is asus
Someone here scored a $150 rog psu for $40ish I heard
It do be
And the fan is super silent too
Ohhh 850 plat for 200....
No offense If I mention an old story & forget who said it. Bad w/ names & so many people here
Hmmm ROG Thor 850 is $200
Single
Ah still good enough
Tempting
I'd say it's enough for a 3080 + 3700x tbh
Not much more than the AMP
EW
That's daylight robbery
But....silent fan tho
bruh if u got like 8 rgb fans you wont notice a lil extra fan
Most psu fans are basically silent
7 actually
yeah u wont notice any gold psu lmao
Imma get the 1000w Asus
1000w is excessive i think
For 4000 series rtx lmao
Cause then I won't need to buy ANOTHER psu WHEN I get one
Why not just cross that bridge when you get there
God autocorrect
That's a fairly common feature
It wouldn't hurt to keep the 750 for your current setup
I'm getting the Asus ROG strix gaming OC 3080
When?
if u get a 3080 i dont think the 4000 series will be worth upgrading to
26th thru the 17th of January
wait for 5000 or whatever
Pfttt pcpp says the 3080 has a recommended W of 320
whats ur cpu
7 3700x
Because that's the tdp
Then just keep the 750w
ok so a 750 watt should be ok
Upgrade when you buy a powerful enough gpu
and don't buy the 40 series
3080 should be good enough for upcoming titles in at least 1440p
youll be fine without 1000w asus gamer 200 dollar platinum silent marketing supreme psu
dont upgrade for the sake of upgrading
Here's my build with the 3080 and the Asus 1000w psu
Rn I have a HP Blower 2070S and a Asus 750w
why 3 different ssds
The 750w strix psu is plenty lol
I was told I'd need atleast 850w
by who?
Nah good 750w is enough
Believe it was Pato
OOOHHH
Was talking with him earlier
If you're buying a new one you should get 850w
If you have a lower power cpu 750w is grand
But i was talking about buying both new
Actually...take off one of those monitors, it's now dedicated to my Xbox one
Doesn't really make a difference lol
Lol ik
but why 3 different ssds tho
I just want it to be as accurate
I had a 1tb 970 Evo plus, but gave it to my younger brother
And So i got a 1TB 980 to replace it
The 250 is for OS and any small software
1TB is for big games, 2tb sata is mass storage, 2tb external is for any files I need to take with me
sure
Because I already had it on the 970 and didn't want to go thru all the work of switching
Lol you downgraded
Besides then the 250 would be useless
980 PRO
Look thru the list
Nope
That's good then
I got the newer revision
250 is plenty for a boot drive. I prefer it because if it's replaced or dies, not dealing w/ 500GB/1TB
960 evo plus is better than 980
And if it fails, it's not an expensive replacement
Drives don't really randomly die these days, my 6/7 year old sata ssd is still going strong
Although, prices now I wouldn't get anothet 250.
I got this 3 years ago for my $500 Dell laptop to replace the 32GB Optane memory ssd
cough cough, smr barracuda
Was talking about ssds
Oh yeah for ssds
Who in their right mind is running a hdd boot drive these days lol
Yeah they're fine unless you like chia mining
Facts
Ok?
Was saying so because they aren't in pcpp
That's when I got my 250. 😅
That's fine they hardly draw much wattage
I meant to specify just replacing or reinstalling also would be less of a big event possibly, compared to for a 1TB ssd
Pato, would you recommend a different motherboard if I intend to OC CPU?
No that x570 is great if you already have it
Basically the best vrms you'll get for sub 200 dollars
👍
Nice mobo yeah not best but plenty good
Ok
I don't intend to do extreme OC so ..
Probably going to get new PSU cables from CableMod
I don't know where my third PSU to you cable went 😅
Gonna get their "RT-Series Pro ModFlex cable kit for Asus and Seasonic"
Red/Black
What wattage psu should I use with a rx6700xt and a ryzen 7 5800x?
I have a 750w with a 2070S and a 7 3700x and I'm not even using it to the max
750w should do
750w would be good
lol sorry ty for the correction and the info
but 850w psus are usually worth gettin instead of 750
Pato even said for a 3080 with 7 3700x, 750 is good as long as no GPU OC occurs
650w/750w power supply if you're in the us bitfenix formula 750w is 60$ and a great price
You can still oc a bit i didn't say no oc
Also needs to be a good 750w
Hi guys is there a different in performance between wd black sn750 vs sn750 se? or should I find an other cheaper option?
Yes and yes, what size are you looking for and are you looking for a budget, mid range or high end ?
mid range one and looking for a 1tb one
im really tempted bc the sn750 se is on sales
Oh and what country?
Canada
i meannnnnn, a2000 is $20 cheaper
mp33 aswell
Sn570 better tho
They wanted a mid range drive
i mean for gaming, a2000 is great
as long as you arent doing large file transfers its good
it even beats pilot e in loading times in games, it just falls behind if you try to move a huge file
Whichever is decent option yeah
If it's throttle amount is like most nvme drives, those are some huge files to worry about.

can anyone help me with my build?
i’m currently building my PC and it doesn’t turn on
i’m getting an antonline bundle that contains a 3060 xc and a modular psu soon
i dont care about the rgb kb or capture card much
but i want that for xmas
hey i wanta to build a pc so looking for CABINETS
Y cabinet?
r u getting a 10700k?
if ur near a microcenter, i'm pretty sure they have them for $149 rn
Ah, nearest MC is 7 hrs 1-way. Too bad someone can't mail be one, lol. Not sure tbh. 11600k is brand new amazon/newegg, 10700/k is Ebay
oh the 10700k is used?
new actually, but not buy it now*
idk how ebay works since i've never used it but, if they're the same price and it's from a reputable seller, the 10700k is an obvious pick
the 2 extra cores is nice and it compares to a 9900k/11700k basically
yeah MC is $200, good price if I was able. mhm. 10 gen seems cooler or lower power compared to their 11gen cousins also.
Lol no
not at all, fuel price would be $80+
Not to mention food and 14hrs of their time
Bingo , using 15ish hours would be another issue.
and it'll be a huge upgrade from what you have rn
So, also found a used 11400F currently at $105 w/ 3 days left. The 107K is $235, pretty close to retail of 116K if no one else bids.
Should I bid on that one, it's ending before the 117 anyways lol
Putting a 11400 on that mobo would hurt so much
haha, non-K on a Z? yea...
id still go for the 11400 for the price it is thoigh....
if u have the extra bucks, the 107k is still pretty nice
Not any z, a gaming edge board too
Especially when b560 bazooka is 100$
LuL, it was "only" 175. True though. It's not like I'm gonna later bother w/ going from 1x4 to 1x7.
175 hurts for that used tbh when you can get 150$ z590s now
Supposedly it's brand new 🙂 (had a pic)
Which exact model did you get?
mpg gaming force
Righto, I tried to research a bit before hand. 😅
for sure, those are all fine choices. Figured I'd try this one. $175 total is close to all those. "oh noes, going from 3 gigabyte mobos to MSI".
ok, let's see how we do on Sat/Sun. Bid $235 on this (new sealed) one ending* soonest. Ebay is mostly for "watching" items also and seeing what stuff often is sold for. 'preciate the input folks.
Certain 3200 cl16 kits
Bruh
no pic perms
hit level 3
Permed hair is grossmmkay
facts
TridnetZ royal/ rbg/ neo?
Neo Forza is a fine pick, yes trident Z also. Don't get cL18
ripjaws are fine too
All three 3200 cl16
Noo
What country and what ryzen 5000?
For ryzen you want 3600cl16
16 or 32gb?
Im trying new amd build I was with intel for lik a decade, r5600G they say its the best apu.. goin with rog b550 e
Im jus testing the apu I got a 5900x on the way
I'd grab a cheaper motherboard, no need to spend that much, and what country are you in so i can recommend a kit?
Well on the graphics side, basically, not so much on the cpu side, that would be the 12900k but the graphics are meh on that
How is that motherboard expensive
It's like 360$
This is a better board imo for way cheaper
https://pcpartpicker.com/product/Vb3mP6/gigabyte-b550-aorus-elite-ax-v2-atx-am4-motherboard-b550aorus-elite-axv2
Hi, I was wondering what can 600-700 USD can get me for a gaming laptop?
I mean what is the best for my budget.
I don trust gigabyte enough
don worry about what country I'll take any recommendations
r u sure u wanna laptop
what's wrong with gigabyte?
Sadly I will be moving a lot so PC is gonna be a pain in my ass
other than their psu's they're actually pretty good
Gigabyte make some fantastic motherboards, and that one is really good,
Recommendations depend on the county because of pricing, but 3600cl16, preferably ballistix if its only a small amount more
Bro how is gigabyte better than rog
Even then, there's also this, which isn't as good but https://pcpartpicker.com/product/2f4BD3/msi-mpg-b550-gaming-edge-wifi-atx-am4-motherboard-mpg-b550-gaming-edge-wifi
Im tryin entry lv amd I don wanna mess it up
That's just 2 brands, the gigabyte aorus elite ax is cheaper and has better power delivery if that's what you mean
Huh?
Likfuture proof motherboard?
@fossil cedar tell me to go to bed please it's 5 in the morning
Pato, What is the best laptop for my budget which is 600-700 USD?
I literally just said the other ones where better choices also you cant future proof it, amds next generation is going to be using a different socket
Go bed
dang
But that one got less usb gen 3 ports
do you use that motherboard youre recommending
@marsh sonnet what country are you in then ? No point converting currency
Qatar
No i wish i did
Sorry i dont know that area well enough to recommend anything
Welp

b550f is expensive imo
@little osprey if pato gives you an idea on a pc you take it, pato is infinitely smarter than anyone in this world
But yes rog mobos are when you want looks over performance lol
My brother has the one pato linked, it’s great for the price
Overpriced
I mean nah i definitely don't know everything but know more than the average person lol
yo wtf we shouldn't be getting a cheap motherboard
If the b450 supports ryzen 5000 im getting it
rog 450 f ii
It does but getting a b450 in 2021 is usually a terrible choice unless it's significantly cheaper than the good 120$ ish motherboards also no please don't put a 5900x on a b450 🤮
It isn’t a cheap motherboard it just isn’t an overpriced piece of rgb crap
Bru I was trippin
🚮
I was talkin bout the b450
Oh
He didn’t recommend a b450 lol
Oh wait you recommended a b450 for yourself lol
ye I was talkin to myself
The board would probably kill itself
@little osprey I genuinely don’t think you should go with asus, gigabyte is just the smarter choice
whats wrong with this one
elite or pro
.
elite v2?
ax v2 is more expensive than the rog f
199$ vs 219$
The gigabyte is 180 and the rog is 200?
You sure you’re looking at the cheapest price on pcpartpicker lol?
Like 5$ less for the non wifi version
Ill take the wifi version
Cringe price and motherboard
Kring
That motherboard costs the same as some z690 boards
Bru tf
Which begs the question why would you go amd
If its a gaming build the 12600k is faster than any amd cpu
And costs close to the price of a 5600x
Wait send examples of cheaper Z690s
Literally overpriced everywhere that I checked
k whyre you pissed
Z690’s aint cheaper
Yeah that's what I thought
is amd the devil or somethin
That’s still more expensive lol
The reason of 12600K not being as good of a value is Z690 vs B550 in value
Aint look cheaper to me
It's just stupid spending that much on an amd motherboard
This exactly
pathetic
Also lmao Alder Lake just go DDR5 literally. It's in its upgrade path
U really think intel beaten amds
They have
Ddr5…
12600K is real good
SERIOUSLY lol
You lost your argument the second you said ddr5
12600k + ddr5
But yes intel is better than amd “now”
I'm sorry I fanboy over ddr5
Also you don't need ddr5 rn imo
Gonna be diff soon
Of course, I'm just being really satire
or should I wait for ryzen 7000
I don't think they have I know they have
^
Ryzen 7000 gonna be expensive asf lol
From the leaks I've seen 6000 series is going to be zen3+, but also ddr5, which makes absolutely zero sense
It makes sense
I've seen nothing to say zen3+ is ddr5
Oh apu?
A little confusing but yeah
My brain is goin to commit sui
How are you so stupi
Aight let's not have fights here

Comparing intel new processor with ryzen last year cpu
Does amd have a new cpu yet to compare?
Ok I’m not tryna sound like I’m starting something but ofcourse they are? Nothing else to compare to lol
Because we don't have any newer amd cpus lmao
^
No they don't so you compare to what is available
Ye
As there's nothing you could do about it
And you have the audacity to call someone else stupid
Zen3 refresh will beat 12th gen, maybe not with prices though
Slaps of irony
Well have to see
It's always like that
Welp whats coming aint gonna bless you
Especially when 5950x costs as much as it does you’d expect it to be compared 🤦
Theyre adding smthn called a 3d cache I believe
Cause the XT refresh will cost more
Yes
Than non XT
Which amd is saying will see a 15% gaming boost
Amd is saying......
I'm not sure about that
It will tho lol
Lets be honest ryzen apu beats intel without a gpu
Either way, I want more fierce competition. We going to get better products
Ah yes because we trust what manufacturers say
Irrelevant statement
5600x to 5800x, 5800x msrp might as well be 400$. I dont see them pricing 5600xt over 350
And 5800xt over 500
No one was speaking about apu here lol
No
We’re on about overall performance and price to perf lol
They were the same price
Like 5600X is already more expensive than 3600X
Sounds like an amd fan boy here trying to come up with things to defend amd imo
3600, yes
3600x yeah
3600x and xt were both 250
lmao ive been with intel for like 2 decades
👍
weird
Amd>
But stacking cache is more expensive
Stay mad lmao
Intel has their benefits
Just because you have your great grandads pentium doesn’t mean anything
Amd has their benefits
I hope they wouldn't jack the price up tho
There is no "better"
I would agree
ik im just trollin
AMD at one time used to almost go bankrupt with fx
I mean 12th gen is better at most workloads at every price point outside of the 5950x
Yep
I would go for a 5600x currently if I were to upgrade, purely because I have a b550 already with decent vrms
It is but amd's pricing absolutely sucks
If I were building a new system I'd go 11600k or 12600k
12400....
What's matter is which suits you in that given moment and budget
Because it's current gen intel to old gen amd
Just to play devil's advocate
Z590s with ddr5 availability...
13th gen and 7000 series will be a fair comparison
You don't need ddr5 to utilize 12th gen correctly
z69 ddr4 doesn't make sense
ddr5 rn is useless piece of crap
What's that got to do with pricing though
It's not any faster than much cheaper, good ddr4
Because amds prices are equal to what intels prices were then
They still need to make money
Amd can't price well because they are having to pay high prices for tsmc production at the moment
Even if intel has better price/performance currently
Intel obviously doesn't have that problem
Paying for the flex
It does get tiring when I have to keep tellin people that ddr5 is useless rn
I don't want em to waste money lol
But but I wanna waste my money on ddr5 6400
I don't even think it will be good by the time am5 comes round tbh
But I guess if ya have cash to throw just do it xD
I'm still more excited for 6000 series than I was for 12th gen
Literally lol
Better than buying nfts
fr like theres literally no big difference
Like for learning oc
Because it affects me more
Fun stuff
ouch...
I've remade 1.2k CAD reselling NFTs
As jokes lol
Didn't intend to
My statement stands lol
if someone steals my art and make it an nft imma make sure they don't have a good time on the internet
Gigabyte ddr4 boards i would highly recommend avoiding atm as they're having memory training issues
LOL
Apparently fixed with f6 bios
wew
No what I would do is post my friends as memes and see how much bnb someone would offer
anyhow, why am i not surprised of dell bricking stuff with bios update?
Nah, 1 you cant, 2 there's like no difference between good ddr4 and 2 who is gonna upgrade their ram without upgrading the cpu instead
Alienware right?
yeah
I was trolling
and some dell actually

but mainly alienware
Literally being satire the whole convo about ddr5
Kinda expected, it's dell afterall
ye
Also Dell bios are absolutely the worst still
Nah it was just "improved" and it was only for like 3200-3600 not any higher
Show me your newegg order history and we will see about that
Lol
Also memory training issues are only super prevalent with 1.5v+ v dimm from what I've seen. Although I've heard mixed things @fossil cedar
Good
Bruh I’ve said abs so much my phone is autocorrecting and to abs…
Smh, thinking I use wegg to buy ddr5

wrong channel but idc

I mean I'd just steer clear from them atm especially when z690 prime and a pro are such decent prices
Price goes brrrrrr
I trust samsung more than this tbh
I agree with the msi myself that would be my go to option. The only reason I posted was to show how stupid it is to pay $195 for a b550 f gaming
Seeing all these potential CES releases is convincing me to fly to CES 2022
pcie 4.0+ isn't for anyone
What a weird looking thing
What the word I can’t say
Most of that is plastic
And ugly
The aluminum inside is smaller
The amount of heatsink surface area looks terrible
They should just steal the wraith and swap and logo with intel
pLaStIc?
Zip ties

Stock coolers smh
Modern problems require modern solutions
lol
Idk why some people use stock coolers on some higher end cpus when 212’s or scythes are so cheap
needlessly big
Ikr
Oof
Fuma 2 such a great buy
Well hyper 212 is mediocre for a start
My point exactly
Cheap and decent
there's also this
Intel stock cooler will forever be a meme
so little alu
Not recommending it for a 5900 but you get when I mean
so much plastic
Cheap? Yes. Decent? Debatable
Oh yea I've seen that, apparently its only seen in southern America??
huh
Yeah some leaks from the Argentina or something
