ehh even if it was lower end gpu that cx would handle fine
Might be able to save a buck on the mouse and keyboard
Reason: Bad word usage
Might be a few bad "gaming keyboard" combos on amazon for 30ish
Monitor could go down to $100 or so if you don't mind VA
I currently have a pre-built PC that I bought from Newegg several months ago. ABS
https://www.newegg.com/abs-ali489/p/N82E16883360084?Item=N82E16883360084&Source=socialshare&cm_mmc=snc-social-_-sr-_-83-360-084-_-11212021
I would like to at some point upgrade parts, but I'm not sure where to begin, or if it even matters where I begin. (Idk if I need to upgrade certain parts before others or not.)
I also would like to know if there's any services I can hire for replacing the parts, since I don't trust myself with doing it. (I watched a video on replacing the CPU, and I was like "Nooooope".)
i9-9900k, gigabyte z390 aorus wifi mobo, 32gb corsair ddr4 3200mhz (2x16), 1tb sata hdd, 2 x 250gb nvme, corsair platinum 240mm aio, EVGA rtx 2070 super 8gb
would this be good to buy? its 1,250
the only service that would do it would be like a local pc shop, the only thing i would do is change the cpu cooler to an id cooling se 224xt or vetroo v5 or gammaxx 400/gte
sounds like a good deal
Well I know my CPU is a few generations behind. I'd like to upgrade to at least an i9
a 10400 is definitely not obsolete at this point
And i3 i5 i7 i9 doesn't matter for much other than marketing
its not, and no you really dont, youd have to replace motherboard and cpu cooler and possibly power supply and would be hard bottlenecked by your 3060 in gaming
How I would approach upgrading, and I would not really upgrade anything until at least next year, because you really don't need to switch parts every few months:
First off, if you're going for 1440p or above, a GPU upgrade will probably be first, and you'll probably want a PSU upgrade first, something like a 4070 when that comes
After that, or if you find yourself CPU bound, I'd wait for next year and ddr5 to mature and to switch to a ddr5 platform, likely a 13600k or equivalent when that comes, with a new motherboard and ddr5 memory.
In general, if you want to, you can upgrade the case and cooler, probably want to do that if you're also doing some other major upgrade.
What would be a good PC build with a price range of $1K-1.5K that is made for programming, gaming and streaming? I’ll be having a duel monitor setup of 24 inch monitors at 1080p with 165hz each. (PS I prefer Ryzen builds)
can you narrow down your budget a bit, and 165hz in what games on what settings?
Aiming for either 1440p 21:9, or 4k 16:9.
1.4K is the more exact range and I’m looking to play medium to high in triple A games or a good base line would be close to high in R6 and many MMORPGs at at least Medium.
I don’t have an exact range in what to play, because it can change a lot from time to time, which is why I kept it very open ended
Like I love the Monster hunter series so imma probably get that as well
then what you want to upgrade is gpu
Yikes. The amount of numbers on those price tags..
okay cool
you in the us?
R6 is pretty easy to run
Yes I’m in the US
But yeah I just want a generally great computer so I can play stuff that I can would plan to play or haven’t thought to play
if you dont mind open box:
https://www.newegg.com/abs-ala232-master/p/N82E16883360066R
if you dont want open box:
https://www.newegg.com/abs-ali580/p/N82E16883360215
This is not as good value but bit more performance, for your case not worth it imo
https://www.newegg.com/abs-ali559/p/N82E16883360189
hello, does anyone think i should build a pc with a $670 2060 or a 900$ 3060ti on newegg or buy a prebuilt with a decent card
you can do a 900$ pc with a 3060 ti????????
if so definitely that
ohh you meant 900 for the gpu or 670 for the gpu?
neither
whats your total system budget?
id get this instead of either of those btw
yeah lmao
whats your total system budget btw?
Hmm, might be better off getting a 3060 ti/3070 abs prebuilt
can you recommend some for me
Reason: Bad word usage
Ofc, lemme see how much an eniac build would cost but I'm pretty sure prebuilt would be cheaper
@little osprey https://www.newegg.com/abs-ali565/p/N82E16883360195
anyone know if id cooling is gonna release lga 1700 brackets anytime soon for coolers like the se224xt?
current build: i7-11700KF
RTX 3080
2TB SSD + 512 GB SSD
32 GB RAM (3600)
ASUS ROG B560-G motherboard
6 Corsair fans
Corsair AIO Capellix
Corsair 4000x case
750w PSU 80 Gold
Should I upgrade mobo, and PSU? What motherboard would be a great upgrade ? Idk much about motherboards.
If you plan on overclocking your i7 sure get a new mobo
Do you want to overclock your cpu?
Also what power supply?
z590 aorus elite 🙏
No, but I do not know what the advantages are for overclocking. I do like to learn new things !
it’s a be quiet one but gold for sure.. sorry I sound ignorant lol
If you don't want to its fine then, the advantages are squeezing a small bit of extra performance for a bit more power and heat, if you don't want to overclock don't bother changing your motherboard
Better than most people know tbf lol, I'll check which ones you could have now
Ahaha got it! I just did a calculator for my power draw and it said I could benefit from buying an 850w via energy saving, but calculators on the internet could be super general too so..
Yeah whichever one you have is good
Wattage calcs dont do much as long as you don't oc your cpu your fine
Sweet. Thank you! Glad I joined this group. Saved me like $500 lol
My CPU does clock at 4400 MHz average when it’s gaming though, I don’t know the parameters that cpus have to be considered “overclocked”, but if that seems normal then I won’t touch anything and enjoy my baby
Nope that's good, that would be your cpu boosting, overclocking is manually setting the frequency (clock) of the cpu
You’re the best bro, hope you run into graphics cards at MSRP 🙏
Thanks and no problems
that's not the only type of CPU overclocking 👀
tuning boost curves is CPU overclocking
True but usually that's the one ppl mean
I did boost curve overclocking on my 11th gen Intel chip 😳
Bro so the last thing I bought for my build was the GPU and I had to wait until it came it because the i7-11700kf does not have intergrated graphics.. I think that goes for all 11th gen processors? I was praying static wouldn’t take my fetus of a build till the mail came in lol
no, F means no integrated graphics
i7-11700K has integrated graphics, i7-11700KF has no integrated graphics
otherwise the same chip
11700 also has integrated graphics just no oc ing
they distinguish them so that they can still sell units that have a defective igpu but the rest of the CPU is working fine
simply disable the igpu and make most of the money still
that's also why you will see less stock of F models as the production run matures
pato did you know there are HF laptop cpus
I was misled! Thanks for the wisdom bro
cursed 😳
No, whyyyyyyyy
I mean it's fine for anyone that doesn't care about battery life
but man it's weird seeing "i5-10300HF" lol
I feel like I’m at a verrry small advantage though because no IG means my OS won’t potentially default to using IG instead of my GPU lol
oh wait it was 9300HF
every board I've used since 4th gen has defaulted to disabling the igpu if a dgpu is detected
and even then you'd have to plug the display cable into the wrong port to actually start accidentally using your igpu
actually I wish I had an igpu so I could drive my second and third monitors with it
but sadly no igpus on ryzen
it would be nice to offload wallpaper engine to igpu, I do that on my laptop
It only dynamically switches on laptops
I used to have the defaulting to IG problem when I was gaming on my laptop though (i7-10750H)
interesting
Ah there we go lmao!
hey so i need a little help my friend who helped me build my computer, his computer is a little older and i want to build him a replacement but i dont know what part to get him as a upgrade(hes a strictly intel and nvidia guy) hes current build is a i7-7700k with a msi 1060 6gb ( i think its a overclocked card because we both have the same card but hes runs better that mine) and he always trying to run small server because he has really good internet the only thing i know imma get is the case which is a corsair 4000 d or x airflow
both correctly selected the 3070 in all games even light ones
I manually set it to use igpu for light games
I think he should get the part that’s harder to get
im paying for it
he already has the best CPU for his current platform, but if he's good enough at following instructions he can mod his board to accept 8th and 9th gen CPUs - it's not too difficult as most of it has been automated by now
What's the budget for upgrading? And only choosing nvidia and intel only is just straight up ignorant
i7-7700K to i9-9900K would be a very steep upgrade on the same board
If the board has good enough vrms
i have 4k atm soo idk
can always run it at stock/undervolted and it'll still be a good chip
okay if you have 4k then no need to bother with saving money LOL
12900K, 3090, ez clap
Well 4k is a brand new 3080 ti 5950x pc and having plenty spare
i also have a 15-10600kf and hes always saying he would love my cpu because of how well it runs
If you don't want to spend 4k lol that's a good starting point i guess
i was thinking about getting the new cpu for myself and giving him my nearly new i5-10600
but what cpu is better a i5-10600 or i7-7700
only worth upgrading from the 10600K if you have a 3080 or higher and play at 1080p360
10600K puts 7700K in the dirt not even a competition
im trying to get a 3080 for both of us
that's 3 generations apart
and do you plan to play at 1080p
my monitor is 2560x1440 so id like to play to my monitors full potential
Np
yeah doesn't really need a upgrade
but yeah you can give it to him if you just want a shiny new toy for fun
can someone give me some recommendations on prebuilts <$1700
If you don't mind open box
https://www.newegg.com/abs-ali454-gladiator/p/N82E16883360038R
If you don't want open box
https://www.newegg.com/abs-ali559/p/N82E16883360189
are there any differences, downgrades, upgrades from the second and https://www.newegg.com/abs-ali565/p/N82E16883360195
also getting a 27 inch 1440p 165hz monitor
Oooh with those specs and a case upgrade you could get some niceee aesthetics without breaking the bank 😮
No case upgrade needed
Performance-wise I agree, I mean like if he’s aiming for an aesthetic, he could just migrate all the components to a case to his liking and the initial purchase isn’t too expensive either ^_^
3060 ti is about 10% worse than 3070, 10700kf is a bit better cpu for gaming, better for multi tasking too, the open box one also has an aio, rgb ram and a 1tb ssd instead of 500gb
changing case is more work than just building it yourself
no point getting a prebuilt just to re-case it
With the GPU market rn, that’s what I’ve seen 😅 people buying a prebuilt then migrating cases ahah
meh, you can buy a scalped 3070 for 950 including tax
could still end up cheaper than that prebuilt with a scalped 3070 custom build
Ah I see so what I have seen is the impatience of other builders then! 😮
prebuilts are just what they've always been, less work
thanks to the work of reviewers we're starting to see better prebuilts crop up though
very nice to see prebuilts with mesh cases and decent power supplies
Btw I just finished building my PC last week and it took me a month but like four months of planning lol.. I’m pretty new. Don’t mean to sound arrogant, just wanna help ^_^ honestly stared at prebuilds for a good half a month then decided to say “fk it” because of lack of reviews too lol!
@ripe wedge how’s the compute stick?
what’s the heaviest thing you’ve ram on it and how was the experience?
alr thank you
windows defender
slow as crap
lol
lolll
could i play Roblox on it?
Np
maybe at 10 fps or less
but basically got the compute stick for free so cant complain I guess
loll that’s weak
Can someone say a good pc with parts and everything that can run Euro truck simulator 2 highest graphics with like 100 FPS and can run gta on medium and fs22 with highest budget 600-800$
Im excited and happy. I bought a i3-10100F, got a gpu from a friend, just hyped to build my pc after i get everything else. I had no choice but to get the 10100f bc the 1600af was and still is about 165.99 but the 10100f was like 99.46 total and out performs the 1600af and i couldnt get a 3300x because its hard to find one at msrp or close to it honestly its like 200+ some right now
congratulations
Ty ty
i miss those days
the influence of capitalism
question
ask
so pato recommended this open box and someone said i could migrate my components to another case
https://www.newegg.com/abs-ali454-gladiator/p/N82E16883360038R
is it worth it
Depends on what you do
uhhh idk if it’s a good value (i genuinely don’t know) but you should be able to put it in another case
But yeah for it's price it's pretty good
it looks like just an ordinary Asus motherboard
uh
that’s kind of an a-hole (mod check?) move if it’s some proprietary form factor
dk what to do 💀
It's a z490p
As standard as it gets
Abs never uses proprietary parts, they're not an oem, they're an SI
you could buy that whole system just to disassemble it and put the parts into another case if that’s what you’re asking
i’ve never heard of abs so i wouldn’t know lol
open box is like used right
It's neweggs brand
Not necessarily
Just means a cord may be missing or something
But it's highly doubtful
Usually means someone bought it and returned it, didnt like it or something
could mean anything. could mean parts are stripped (correct me if i’m wrong), could also mean it was never turned on
@little osprey I'd recommend top mounting your aio if you have enough clearance btw
I want to get more storage space for my PC, but I don't know much about PC parts. Do I need a specific kind for my PC? Or are they all universal or something?
I want an SSD with far more storage space than just around 500GB.
1tb ssd? 2tb ssd?
What would the price look like for those 2?
probably $300-$400 total
Samsung moment
Idk what's good and what isn't..
For 1tb, 70-130$ for 2tb 170-220$
Ty Pato
Samsung do make good drives but overpriced
Np
oh lol
Does anyone have any specific recommendations for 1tb and/or 2tb?
You in the us right?
Yes
Thanks
Is there any difference between the speed that they load things? Or is it the same across all SSDs?
no need to change the case, also changing case is more work than building from scratch btw, but id get the open box one
there are differences but they are good cheap ssds
Would you be able to tell if they're faster or slower than the SSD I already have on my pre-built?
lmao how bad are i5 4690k's these days? have one in my first build just curious lol
better than my i7-3537u
Newegg says my current storage is "512 GB SATA SSD"
Doesn't say any more than that, and idk how else to check.
if u go to task manager, over to the performance tab and look in the top right corner itll say the model of it
T-FORCE 512GB
550 mbps read and 500 mbps write
they would be faster
honestly might just get this https://www.newegg.com/abs-ali559/p/N82E16883360189
Sweet. Tyvm.
fair enough
np
anyone using Core i9 12th gen? desktop
No but i can answer almost any query you have about it
I don’t believe I do.. the fans hit my ram 😪 my next project is probably migrating to a lian li and.. moreeee fansssssss
I was initially going to, then one heartbreaking mm ruined my day lol
Damm
The R5 1600 is pretty outdated by this point
but nice job finding a rtx 2060 for that price
I would do a lot for a deal like that
I'd change everything but the GPU
please dont spend 150$ on a 1600
thats as much as a 3600 should cost
better off buying a used 3600 or a new 10400/b560
something more like
https://pcpartpicker.com/list/Xsy4RT
"but muh youtube said ryzen 5 1600af budget king"
I said id be back when i did some stuff i ended up keeping my 1080ti got it checked out it was just something with drivers being bugged out so its perfectly fine now and i found somone that really needed an x570 mobo and they traded me an msi rtx 3070 for it so i managed a 3070 and now figuring out a way to turn that into a quick sell with the 1080ti and the 9700k to turn around for a 3080/3080ti
they traded a 3070 for an x570 mobo????
straight trade?!
even the top end x570 dark isn't worth nearly as much as a 3070 LHR
please tell me you had to add money lmao
does the 3070 work?
understandable have a nice day
Agreed too expensive for 3060/3700X
I've seen one with a 3070ti for that price
Zen 2 is just not really worth buying atm
Zen 3, great, if the prebuilt price is good
I hate this shortage
by any chance are you guys able to help me find a pc that is good and the specs are Ryzen and at least a 3060 and above ? please
everything is jacked up now
I have been having such a hard time finding good stuff for the right price and Im some what new to this stuff
Hey before the shortage wasnt the 3600 ryzen $200?
yeah
A year ago, 160$
something like that
But also, right now, 10400 is 180$ for better performance than 3600 in games on an unlocked platform
WHY
MUST THIS SHORTAGE MAKE MY WALLET CRY
I just want to make a pc for my baby brother man
AMD dominating lower end is one year ago
Intel has the sub-200$ CPU market locked down right
Honestly, everything but GPU has been fine
@stoic island are you able to help find a Ryzen 7 3700x RTX 3060 or somthing like that
a 1600 is 200
Please?
On mobile rn, I could look later
Theres no shortages but everything is jacked up
damn ight
If you're fine with open box, that is good
I dont really care about the looks of the case lol
SSD prices have only been going down, newer PSUs have been getting cheaper, mobos have stayed mostly constant pricing, cooler pricing constant :p
By the case not being great I mean the parts will get very hot inside
is there a huge difference between Ryzen 7 3700x and A ryzen 5 5600x?
well that stuff of course but
CPU's and GPU's are in the gutter to say the least
So 80% of the parts have either gotten cheaper or stayed at same price :p
5600X is better at single core (gaming) and almost as good at multi core
Nah, the best option just switched companies, when AMD dropped zen 3, Intel dropped prices, and that has made them great for the past few months
GPU stock did go through the floor though
Understandable
guys im going to microcenter in a few more days, do u know any good gaming pcs there? (rockville, MD)
Hey maybe when my pockets get bigger I will switch to AMD eh?
Intel is good ol reliabe
reliable* for the past few years so
I mean, it's all about who offers the best performance at a price at any moment
eh
Whether it's amd or Intel doesn't matter that much
yeah
but people man they will still loyal to bitter end
Most people didn't care about AMD and asked specifically for Intel 2 years ago :p
https://www.newegg.com/skytech-st-arch3-0-0181-archangel-3-0-gaming-computer-pc-desktop/p/3D5-000Z-00029 will this have a glass part on the case or will it be dead ass open
ok
like will the parts be exposed lol
That's a glass side panel
ok good lol I just dont see it in the picture lol
u can see the reflection of the glass
Unless it's an open air bench or some exotic case, it'll have a side panel.
on the bottom left
guys im going to microcenter in a few more days, do u know any good gaming pcs there? (rockville, MD)
pls tell
for that price you can get something better
aight
thanks
nhntnhmthmhtm
microcenter's prebuilts are usually bad value
hey is 4 cores good enough these days?
newegg has nice ones you can order online
well if it's 10100f it's okay
Thanks
ok
but i would recc something at least 10400f
ill go just to see
was just look at that HA
i can make a parts list for 5600g rig if you want
who me?
Im fine thanks though.
depending on budget that is
800
oh him my bad
okie
-900
that's definitely doable
him/her/them my bad
@idle nimbus so what's your budget?
mmmm
Green means you can post links and pics now
i can look up some stuff for ya on newegg
1200-1500
yup
usd please
good
https://www.newegg.com/abs-ali559/p/N82E16883360189 @idle nimbus
the best i found so far
ooh
i would suggest cooler swap just in case
lmao i’m getting that
i do
since i just realized i needed to buy a monitor as well
but gpu is a good chunk weaker
lol
it's down to a 3060
3060 is like 2070 perf?
3060ti is 2080s
the difference is uhm, large
but if you mainly do 1080p gaming
3060 is plenty
i mainly do 1080p
Those are all more CPU dependent anyway, especially at 1080p
ye but as stupid as it sounds
i need it for education as well lol
sorry i pinged the wrong person on accident
i meant to ping fal
my
my bad
since im very dedicated to my education
and i want something which would increase my morale in education a bit more
since ever since my laptop broke
i haven’t had anything to do school work on
which is a downside
so i need to get something fast lol
thats the story fal
whats important in a build for a pc that's used just for streaming videos like watching movies?
You could get a cheap quad core PC with integrated graphics for basic stuff like that
i3 10105 for example
the 3060 ones will still do plenty for 1080p
to gta
lemme find one
alr great
3060 can handle AAA games at 1080p just fine
as for monitor
tysm
grab msi g241/242
so just getting a good cpu but like i wouldn't need a gpu or something, integrated graphics on mobo is enough right?
does it need giga ram as well or just like 16 gbs/avg speed okay?
non gaming you can just go cheap on ram
8 gigs is fine
and get something like i3 10100
If not for gaming even 8gb is fine
okay ty O_O my friend just wants something to stream movies, they have like a giga 4k tv but they said they aren't gonna use it for anything else besides movies and the laptop they use now is kinda crapping out on them
i would highly appreciate that
kk
Just for watching 4k movies yeah?
but because i built my pc irl my friends ask me xD
yea
Nothing else?
they have other pc's for work and stuff
Depends on the price
Its not worth nearly that much
from where?
how much storage do they need?
if it's not much i can do ssd
their cases are so bland looking though btw
i can't go there without a vpn
ill show u
ok
uh i think they will need some storage in case they go back to downloading movies
hmn
Oh the entire pc is for 1100
i slapped 1tb ssd in there
Not just the gpu
ye
I would do 250gb ssd and 2tb hdd tbh
@lethal steppe https://pcpartpicker.com/list/3kjZgt
ok O_O tyvm
If anything the next step up is the 10400
10100's price is crazy
😦 im gonna get nervous about applying thermal paste again that was so stressful
at that point 10400 makes more sense
A lot of coolers come with pre-applied paste
the stock cooler with the i3 does come with paste
you just install it on the cpu and call it a day
yea 😄
$420
mail in rebate tho
that's the painful part
cause rebates can run out
or take loooong time to get to you
Without the rebate its just as expensive as ur list
Fastest I ever got a rebate was 3 months, slowest was never arrived
unneeded for movie streaming
they dont wanna spend much anyways even though they can
if only it was 420.69
that'd be even better
I know, just 23 cents less and it would have been
ye
But Id do foxys list or the one i sent before this one for movies only
^
Stop typing fast :(
Me slow boi
:(((
oop
Git gud
im too fast
ya ty again for the help everyone
i gotta run
now we just need rdna2 igpus
by then we'll get even better value outta budget builds
and not worry about gpu
6600g or 7600g i guess?
man it's gonna sound too close like 6600xt in naming
You mean like the 5600X exists at the same time as 5600XT?
Here's hoping the refresh doesn't follow the XT naming they did on 3000 chips.
true
How else will we know they are eXTreme instead of eXtreme thooo
Imagine a PC with a 5600XT processor and 5600XT GPU
I give up foxy is speed
oof
ballistix is like 3 dollars moreeeee

anyway
if earlier xt is to be followed
i sure can see 5600xt getting $50 price bump
hi
and it'll become uh
i want a 4090 ti
and a 5995wx
who's gonna buy 6 core chip for 350?
when 5800x has more cores n better perf for around that price most of the times
or 12600k for less
Well if leaks are to be believed the refresh with stacked cache will be a HUGE bump in performance
Like 15% or so, putting them back in spitting distance of Intel 12th gen
yes
Guys I need help, I have a 1050 and a ryzen 7 5700g, I feel like I have input delay or something in games, my mouse feels too smooth
Thats not what i mean, it like doesnt feel as smooth and snappy as usual
It feels like i have vsync on but i dont
Looking to do a insane jurrasic world liquid cooled build, anyone have any ideas ? Would love to take multiple people's ideas and build the most unique custom rig ever
How's your metal working skills? Having the classic clawed through metal look would be awesome

it's only appropriate to incorporate western digital's Velociraptor HDDs
brilliant

not related but slather your computer in maple syrup
if I change the CPU cooler would it be good? https://www.newegg.com/abs-ali575/p/N82E16883360210
Its out of stock
Yes, a 240mm liquid cooler on the top would work
Might never return
https://www.newegg.com/abs-ali576/p/N82E16883360211?Item=N82E16883360211 ($2,199)
or this one
https://www.newegg.com/abs-ali575/p/N82E16883360210 ($2,099)
2nd one is out of stock, but if you don't mind open box there's a one with an aio, 10700kf, 3070, mesh case, rgb ram, 1tb ssd and a lot cheaper

I can actually do metal work very well that is a great idea I might even be able to weld up a t-rex head and claws and have them coming through the side ...
Hi, i have an alieanware auora ryzen edition and was wondering if there is any upgrades I should make for example fans for less noise and cooling. Any suggestions?
What are the specs braski but next time you get a pc stay away from Alienware they are absolutely junk and you are paying for literally the name
LOL, i realized that after about a year I got it. I had 0 knowledge and just wanted a pc. I will look into specs. I will DM you
AMD Ryzen™ 7 5800 (8-Core, 36MB Total Cache, Max Boost Clock of 4.6GHz)
Windows 11 Home, English.
NVIDIA® GeForce RTX™ 3060 12GB GDDR6.
16GB, 2x8GB, DDR4, 3200MHz, XMP.
1TB 7200RPM SATA 6Gb/s.
I just looked them up.
@celest moss
Not a whole lot you can do without a new case motherboard power supply and possibly cooler usually
No ssd?
Can you link some of the parts I can upgrade with
I mean it would be a pain and pricey btw
Okay
the other stuff ill upgrade in the future most likely
What country?
US
Do you have an ssd? Because if not that's a major upgrade
Also do you know what kind of cooler you have?
An ssd? Ye 1 sec
Thanks
@hexed stump https://pcpartpicker.com/list/Qqn63Z you'd possibly need a new cooler too I'm not sure if you're current cooler can be reused without a pic of it
Alright well thanks for the help. Would it be ok if I dm u with any questions?
Are more then welcome to dm me for any questions
Very first thing to upgrade is ram if you don't want a whole new build
And what board is it because your board depends if you can overlook ram/cpu upgrading your board to one that can will be a huge improvement!
Nah the ram is fine, ofc 3600cl16 would be ideal but if they already have 3200cl16 it's not worth like 85$ to get 3600cl16
Nope, you can overclock on every amd motherboard except like a320's
B450s do not allow overclock what are you smoking. And 16 gigs of ram games now are calling for 32 lol
Yes they do lol, you're thinking of intel
Also only flight sym 2020 and a small amount of other games can use over 16gb ram
Also 16 is fine for vast majority of games still
Any recent amd cpu oc on nearly any motherboard
32 is nice to have but not an absolute need
it's not like 8
where that's simply not enough
I didn't even hit 16gb streaming warzone with at max settings with discord and Chrome open as well
With his specs I would definitely be putting in 32 his ram is his biggest bottleneck tbh
Was like 95%, but still not out of ram
What's the system
16 is fine
Anything over a 3070 I'd say yeah sure throw 32 in
Just bc if you're spending that much why not
No, no it's not, the 3060 is his biggest bottleneck
5800x will run a 3090
I would go ram then gpu upgrade 100%
I mean 3600 will run 3090 at 1440P+ even lel
Gpu is a bigger bottleneck than cpu
Not ideal but yeah
Nah ram is perfectly fine, upgrade the gpu first
I wouldnt put it with a 3080 ti, 3090, or 6900xt personally
Well yes his cpu is Definitely over powered for his gpu but his ram is still low for his set up 100%
I have 16 gb and its completely fine
It literally isnt
No it's not
Yes it is
Four people are telling you it's not
32GB is for sure overkill for most gaming currently
B450 allows u to OC ram and cpu
But go ahead, your linus tech tips is much better than years of experience

And this is why I have a 40 thousand dollar set up and yall don't and why I guarantee you I get higher fps and faster numbers then you
With 32GB being so cheap you might as well buy it since good kits are nearing $100 currently
Flight sim runs fine on 16gb
LMAO
"Faster numbers"
40 grand, yeah we're jealous about it for sure
Thanks for the laugh
It can just use more if the pc has it
^
I too have a spare kidney
It's 5800 non x btw
ah
Ah yes
Yeah but it can use over 16gb
16 is basically min for gaming, 32 nice to have but not needed yet
The elusive non existent 5800
Not at all
How come
My friend spent 1400$ on a gpuless pc...
Bought overpriced fans, 240$ asus case
Ebay for scalped gpus
Im running out these days
And its a 240mm, with a 5800x, in a 1400$ build
I have tons of things open these days
Hes throwing his 2070s in it from his current pc
It kinda is tbh
btw having "overkill" cpu for a midrange gpu is better than having weak cpu but same gpu
cpu bottleneck is painful
True
Windows subsystem for android eats up between 2-4gb ram and its always open
Ohh okay that's different than paying 1400$ for a gpuless pc
No it doesn't have a gpu
Not in the 1400$
Even then
He bought 6 20$ fans
That's fine tho
Overpriced case
Personally I'd rather have better performance than know my pc cost more
3650 USD
Check this out on @Newegg: ABS Gladiator Gaming PC - Ryzen 7 3700X - GeForce RTX 3080 - G.Skill TridentZ RGB 16GB DDR4 3200MHz - 1TB M.2 NVMe SSD - 240MM RGB AIO https://www.newegg.com/abs-ala236-gladiator/p/N82E16883360100R?Item=N82E16883360100R&Source=socialshare&cm_mmc=snc-social-_-sr-_-83-360-100R-_-11222021
Very affordable
"Faster numbers"
Would u like me to specify for you figured I would keep it simple since you think q good build is 16 gigs of ram
Only 16 gb ram
Lol there's cheaper ones on pcpp
Ewwwww
it's 2.1k
16 is fine :)
so the problem is kinda there
-someone with 16gb
The point was you can get the whole build for the price of the gpu
And a 3060 ti
but idm much
My cpu bottlenecks my system more than my ram
The point was I sorted my price high to low to find that gpu
Lol
Hell, my ssd bottlenecks my system more than my ram
I have absolutely zero bottlenecks thankfully
The pc not the gpu
Literally impossible
Not a thing
There is always bottlenecks
Literally never possible
I9 12th gen with a 3090 128 gigs of ram 5tb of ssd don't see a bottleneck anywhere
the word bottleneck is well quite misused
Gpu bottlenecks the cpu lmfao
128 GB OF RAM LMFAO
oof
Ouch this hurts
And that cost 40k?
5510 bucks
Mhm
Your stupidity is showing
also 40k for that stuff is.. sus
Dudley looking freak
That is one of my computers lmao I have many more hahaha
sus impossible
Isnt worth it
those specs doesn't reach 40k
Does when I have 5 other pcs
Definitely 12yo
bruh
We aren't stupid, and you're not slick
I'm 26 and a computer engineer lmao try again
Yeah but it's funny
imma just drop off this conversation
No I said my set up cost me 40k one pc is not a set up
I have dual socket epyc 7763 processors and over a terabyte of ram and 4 3090s in sli
Beat that
Faster numbers
@frank stirrup i struggled to hit 10k https://pcpartpicker.com/list/YjTYy4
Well I simplified for it since your 16 gigs of ram is insane op
Amateur lemme show u something
Faster numbers
Only 1 ssd and 1 gpu allowed
No one said 16 gigs of ram is op
Guys his pc has faster numbers
And not allowed use 5k 1060 cuz that's clearly dumb
We're all wrong
Reason: Bad word usage
Hehe
Also ofc you would say 32 gigs is minimum for games cause you got 128 gigs of em
faster numbers = better PC duh
So nothing doesn't need to worry about using too much
Fairly sure he's just lying about it
Clearly
I just wonder why most fans have aura sync support but no others 🤔
https://pcpartpicker.com/list/s7ZMQD
@fossil cedar
I mean dm me I'll show u some pcs I got
they should work with other rgb programs too
it's just marketing
Can't you control argb fans with any program ?
you can
I mean yeah its argb so lol
Cheater i said gaming, and only 1 storage
bacca
Sorry it's just hilarious
Well it has 2 6lbs field cannons in the list
I'll stop now
Dammit
Got msi spatium from newegg for great price today . Thanks
The best PC parts
Check out colorful 3090 Kudan most beautiful card on the planet
White strix 3090 is most beautiful card
Most beautiful card is the gefore 256
Also best
Can run any game at 600fps 8k with rtx on
what about geforce 1
TNT2 #1
I love my beautiful white strix 3090
Wasn't the 256 the first ever gpu by nvidia?
idk
Fairly sure it was
Do old gpus like that hold collectors value?
they actually got pre geforce
@celest moss btw whats ur main source of income that you can afford 50k worth of pcs
Voodoo GPUs are worth a crap ton
I really want to collect 3Dfx GPUs
Hes a "computer engineer" apparently
Upgrade from 4800mhz to 5200mhz ram probably not worth right now right ? 🤔
I wonder when high speed rams gonna come out
249 usd in 1995 equates to 451.91 today
Damnn
that's what nvidia's first gpu costed at launch
Not really
inflation do be like that
Not unless you haven't bought any yet
Timings and cpu matter as well btw
12900k with cheap crucial ddr5 rams for now lol
They alr have ddr5
oh
i forgot
yeah stay with it
no need to upgrade
until like better sticks with better timings comes
Lol got cheap 32gb ddr5 for now and waiting for better rams lol
I know its first gen of ddr5 but its still performing well
it's fine
just not worth compared to ddr4
but you already got ddr5, best to stick with it
@frank stirrup https://pcpartpicker.com/list/QwL9ht i have made the 43k gaming pc nods
Yeah got 32gb ddr5 for 215bucks
15tb ssd
Good ddr4 rams are also around same price
Didn't even know that was a thing
inb4 he runs 3200c16 xmp
93.2tb
16gb of 4000 14-14-14 tuned b-die would take a dump on his 128gb in almost every game

regardless of if it's ddr4 or ddr5
alder lake in gear 1 baby
He still hasn't shown me those 5 pcs of his
Told me to dm him lmao
I have 3
and there are people here with more
My phone, desktop, and laptop
@earnest olive @frank stirrup https://pcpartpicker.com/list/NT89ht 582.8tb ssd gaming pc
Weird haven't received a single dm lmao
How in the raw sushi down bad is that possible?
Pcie to 16 sata ports
For the memes
@fast dust how’dd you get all the components bro? 😮
Bought them used
Damn I gotta keep an eye out then!
Apparently he counts his girlfriends pc and other pcs he's building as his setup
That makes no sense lol
I cba lol
Uhh I didn't say my gfs pc was apart of my set up lmao you are unintelligent lmao I just finished the build for her and am testing it u said to show you the pc I am on which is here do to testing lmao your just upset my gfs pc that yes I built out performs yours
I literally don't even use my pc to half it's extent. I could not care less if yours is better as mine is already overkill
And i said my other pcs are simply sitting on my build table lol and I have 2 more no I did not count when i said 5 being built as of now
:)
Yes, we get it, your better than all of us
For non-gaming, is building worth it or should my sister stick to prebuilt?
I was thinking for her an i5, 8gigs and a 500 gigs SSD would be enough
No GPU
Mainly because I wanted to build
😂
I wanna do another build but I don't have anything to build
8gb ram in 2021, almost 2022?
do you hate your sister?
what did she do to you?
stabbed you in your sleep?
16gb 3200c16 is like $50 now just go 16gb ok?

Lowkey want to buy this to send to my SO
They have a 3400g with an ssd now, a310 or whatever the amd version of h310 is
Can't remember the name
And 8gb ram
No clue what speed
Before it had a dying hdd
lol, my sister's laptop had an hdd
16 minute boot time
i put an ssd in and now it boots in 9 seconds
Theirs didn't take too too long to boot, but minecraft took like 10min
And mc would randomly crash and such
I ran multiple chkdsks
even managed to save the hdd from ewaste with a $8 usb hdd enclosure
When's danknation gonna show us his 40k PC and 4 other PCs?
Third did nothing
Very bad hdd
I bought them a sk hynix whatever 31 gold sata version
he showed it to me, one sec lemme get it
That
Ye
LMAO
now that's the best pc i've ever seen
Nah he actually showed me his setup, it's clean but it ain't worth 40k
flames make it really fast
128gb headass
Got a pic?
lmao WHAT
Nah
128gb??
Dang
I joined his discord and then his stream because he "didn't want to buy something" to send me pictures
Because he doesn't know you don't need nitro to send pictures
i bet 38k of it is the corsair fans
I technically have 7 PCs if we are counting PCs built for customers
what?
what does that mean lmao
you can send pictures through discord?
Nah his 40k PC isn't capable of doing thar
