Will leave the pc without the battery for 15 minutes
Or some
Last time i left it like this for half a hour
HI I build my motherbord it turn on but every usb not work and noting is on the screen
What motherboard?
You meant your rig?
Anyway, where did you plug the monitor into?
And what cpu does it have?
Ok, it's been half a hour since I unplugged bios battert
Ram lighted instantly after plugging into the power
Resetting CMOS again
10 seconds after turning on the psu
Ram started to light
PC itself is off
Ram just lights up
Well yet again no effect
@barren flame try reseat your ram
U mean place it in different slots?
just take it out and put it back in first
Can I go just with 1 stick?
Try with 1 stick if you want but i would just take out and put back in first
K reseated ran
Ram
And launching pc
Now my cooler does not light up too
And after reset it did
I don't kniw
@barren flame what were you trying to do before the computer stopped working. And can you describe the issue for me?
bruh.
@bitter mason Your pc is looking nice!
I just seen a news feed or something saying that new world is breaking gpus, does that only apply with ultra grapic settings or if i go on high/medium will i be fine?
Or is it a 4k thing? Is 1080p good still?
Mostly 3080-3090
Saw new world also killing some AMD cards
And tbh that probably isn't the issue, it's just the load it puts on the GPU somehow
It's killing any cards lol
I ultimately decided to build that HTPC for my dad's bedroom.
something about the game causing the card to push more frames than it physically can handle or something
and then something on the card goes boom
or something like that lol
I'd give him the upcoming build on the house.
He's helped me with a lot of financial stuffs even recently (I'm 24 for reference), so it's the least I can do.
He wanted it as a work station that can also play movies.
Once I give him this, my pops can put away that old Dell dino his former employee gave him.
The best advice I've seen if you want to play that game is drop your power limit to like 80-90% and don't overclock. It seems to be the way the game calls functions is forcing more power through the gpu than it can handle. I saw one that started literally smoking.
Have any of you built PCs for or with family members who cared to learn about this?
I'd drop to 70% to be safe if you were to risk it tbh
Whether younger or older...
Yup my younger bro
Nice!
Y'know, I'm honestly surprised my dad was willing to appreciate my new skills with this.
Even with the huge age and cultural differences.
b00mer age but not mindset if you will
You don't need a powerful gpu for a htpc, so at least you don't need to worry about that. Maybe a ryzen 5600g/5700g would do tbh.
I ultimately decided against a video card for this.
And I'm working with a Ryzen 3 with integrated, assuming I can find one.
The only thing I'm worried about is a clever chassis.
That'll work for low end, sure
Yeah it's meant to be a work station that can do home theater.
But not one that always has to run movies.
My pops has the streaming on his Roku TV if he wants movies.
I'm just happy to give him something useful.
Most workstations aren't used for heavy tasks, mostly office and browsing, so that processor shouldn't be a problem
His main tasks will be office and browsing.
I'd recommend an intel cpu then tbh
The mobo i have happens to prefer AMD.
What mobo?
That's the big reason I'm going for the Ryzen family.
Lemme check.
It's that B450 micro ATX that fried a few weeks ago and came back from MSI Friday, rember?
I think I discussed that story in Newegg's Discord.
This is the first time I can say I'm actually working with what I have since I've accumulated newer parts.
And not parts from before 2014.
what if i just put grapics on like medium or high?
Those are always the most fun builds for me, just the old scrap parts getting new life and purpose
Yeah, the spare mobo was got me into this.
If it were Intel, I'd get those CPU types.
Won't stop it from spiking, it will just give more fps lol
If my dad uses office, is an SSD still a good idea?
Definitely
He might appreciate the speed?
Ssd is a must
Yeah you’ll be fine
SSD for OS, HDD for stuff?
Hdds for Windows suck
Does Linux have the same issue with HDD?
Or you can grab a 1tb ssd for right now
And that will be fine
Sata SSD still fine
HDDs still useful for mass storage
Sata to nvme is nowhere as big as hdd to ssd
No they are decent but good for bigger storage
For boot yes, for mass storage at cheap, no
No reason for that to happen
i wasn't being serious about an m.2 hdd
HDDs just can't really saturate bandwidth of NVMe
hence the oh no
wait those exist?
Converters exist
i joke about something only to find out they exist
my pops won't need a huge amount of storage
Tbh there's m.2 to sata too afaik
wait what
So you can do a pcie card with m.2 slots and then converter to HDDs
1tb of hdd should be fine
And a 240gb ssd
They are really cheap
for os
I mean depending on the use case 240gb ssd is enough
documents
But yea nowadays 500gb SSD for 50$ is commonplace either way
And 1tb ssds are usually meh, 10$ more and a 2tb hdd you have
There is some 1tb that are around 80-100 dollars
I mean
I mean they already have 240gb ssd so might as well use that
Yes I mean if it's not enough, cheap addition
yeah the parts i already have are the b450 amd mobo, 240gb ssd, and wifi card, although a 500w psu and 16gb ram are coming soon
would 16gb be enough for office?
or too much
That would be fine
maybe he can settle for 8?
i can give him the full 16 i ordered
i have 16 in my main build
tbh my only big concern is making my own chassis
Yeah don't run 3 stick of ram
yeah that'd be odd
so regarding case, i was deciding between getting one and disguising the build as an object in my pops' room
i'm not sure if he's the right person to be cheeky towards though
Sweats while looking at home server
you have a laptop with more than 2 sodimm slots?
Thats insane
^
M.2 to sodimm adapter 😳
ball grid array to sodimm adapter
Yes
who needs a cpu anyways
The future of computing right there
Yup
Directly attached memory
Yeah
DIMM slots right on the cpu
Someday CPUs will have an l3 cache of like 16 gigs lol
So you won't even need ram
Just use cache as da ram
You'd have basically 0 latency since it's be right there
Now I just gotta patent my idea so nobody steals it
Lol good luck with that, it needs to be more than an idea for them to enforce the patent
At least a rudimentary diagram of how everything connects
Nah man we Gucci
4
yes
They'll buy a patent from you if you do something like that, as long as you're not too greedy. Get too greedy and they'll decide it's cheaper to rename.
they could just make a new line... successor to Core... maybe they could call it... Core 2

Hmm yes
intel core duo
Core 2 octa
Core 2 quadcopter
Done
RGB ram on cpu
Uhh
Give me patent now
Could I get some measurements with that diagram please
It's ddr7
And some dotted lines to know what's behind what
Oh alright hmm
Hmm sure but where are the interconnect points? And what cooling solution do you propose?
Comet water
and then maybe they could replace the i3/i5/i7 branding with E for Economy and Q for Quality... so we could get a new Core 2 Q6600 or E8400
RGB increases cooling so it'll work witt just ram as the heatsink
really groundbreaking stuff I know
Yup
About about we come up with a new transistor gate design
Let's do it guys
Let's make ourselves billionaires
mini fins
spikes lmao
Ah yes
bowser cpu cooler
We could make it interconnected, like some sort of brain-type or mesh connection, what would we call that? Neural? Fabric?
he starts breathing fire if CPU temp exceeds 90c
lol
if i put in on my laptop my house will burn down
oops wrong chat
How about one of those delta 1U fans strapped onto a copper heatsink that looks like a soda can
And the housing for the heatsink can be an actual soda can
Easy
The vacuum cleaner sounding ones?
don't worry it's just orange and red LEDs in a diffuser not real fire
The plane sounding ones
Ooh so the 12k
if you want real fire just grab an 11900K and run prime95 avx512
How about helicopter blades that attach to a laptop, so it hovers off the table so the fans can get proper airflpw
I'm a legit engineer rn
Where's my money?

They put it in the housing for the helicopter motor, you have to grab it while it's running though
Hmm
no we need to attach a plane turbine
its also really thick and it will also be a heatsink
to power the motor for it, we could use an NRHA dragster engine
that'll get it spinning
yes
<@&872830304258248705> happy birthday
as it might be your last
hopefully it doesnt do this
^
wow that lawnmower outside sure is loud
lol
there's a cricket in my classroom that wont shut the freak up
not what i want to hear at 9:30pm in an otherwise quiet building
🔫
lmao
nice itt stopped
seems legit
JUMP
i just saw a huge spider in my classroom scurry away into the hardware shelf as soon as i looked at it 💀
Wow guys this PC has ddr15!

Is building a pc hard?
It looks hard
it isnt hard, you just need to have a little bit of prior knowledge, like what your parts are, and just how to put them together. that's pretty much it. honestly, the hardest part of the process of putting together a custom build is figuring out which parts to get, and there's plenty of people to help with that so it isnt even that bad.
ive been tinkering with hardware since i was around 13 years old and nothings ever gone bad
Ok thx for the advice
what kind of PC do you want to put together?
R9/3080
just read the manual and you'll be good 95% of the time
Ok
But I’m gonna do it next year
Oh should I get an ifixit kit or do I need just a normal screwdriver
you can usually just get away with using a couple different sized philips heads that you probably have sitting around the house
ifixits are pretty much only needed for stuff like board-level repair and laptop work
Oh ok thx I thought i needed a whole pc screwdriver set
nah
Yea I've heard that analogy used lots of times lol
one big and one small
some cable management
making sure you don't crush your cpu putting it in the socket
stuff like that
it's not difficult once you're familiar with how the basics go
except when it comes to amd's stock coolers
unnecessary
all you gotta do is follow the manual
eh, fair point
cable management i like cause it look good
you forget things
but yes, follow manual
good point of reference for where things are and what goes in them
many a times of people doing stuff plugging front io into a usb header comes from just simplifying things too much
you still gotta check manual for things
even though it's easy
manual also usually has stuff that you need to do in order
so you won't forget to do stuff like eps12v
the cricket is being annoying again
i wana fight it
anyway...
I tested the board, thankfully it works
The PSU to the left is bad though unfortunately
go find the cricket and ask it to be quiet
it wont listen
this
the price and wattage
Hello all. i have a question. having a hard time making the decision due to the crazy prices this past year on GPUs etc. so i have a more than capable pc for gaming. can run anything at descent frames. id say if 10 is the best gaming pc made and 1 is you trying to game on the original mac , mine is about a 7.2 for context. i currently have a 2070 super and looking to upgrade. i have money to buy whatever i want (as far as gpus go lol) but i also want to stay disciplined in my finance which i always strive to. without paying dumb amounts , what would your advice be as the next GPU i should go after to buy where i will notice a definitive difference in FPS etc etc. like i said i ave a 2070 super and dont just want a 5 fps increase. any thoughts?
sorry for the long post ...
A 3070 is your best bet
But it's up to your budget lel
It's hard to get gpus at msrp atm
If Im being honest, if you dont actually need a new GPU, you should stick with your 2070 super. What resolution do you game at? And do you do any rendering and whatnot that would heavily utilize a GPU?
^
Ive been sticking with my 1070, and Im just gonna keep waiting till GPU prices go back to normal, even though I have a 4k monitor and could use an upgrade lol
just don't upgrade
wait until 4000
you'd have to go up to at least 3080 for it to be a meaningful upgrade
and those are going for $1300+
LHR
wasnt itt 699 msrp
i hear u but i WANT one lolol.. but i game at 1080
haha good advice. thanks Dad.
you're welcome lol
meanwhile me
upgrades from 3600x to 5600x to 5800x just so i can get something that doesn't lose silicon lottery
wants to upgrade 3080 because it lost silicon lottery

Nah I don't play too many games, and it's not like I'd get the benefit from it anyway. Plus I got the 3900x for a good price
Got it 2nd hand
i got my 5800x for a cool 300
I had planned to use my system to run a couple servers, although I ended up getting a separate system instead
this game is half a gig
Deepcool gammaxx 400s is good for i5 10400f?
thats a good cooler, i've used that a couple times for my chinese x99 builds
ye it's dirt cheap n good for the price
yea, i used it on e5 2678v3's and it handled them no problem
get 11400f?
That's still less than the size of a data CD
its the TELETUBBIES game
Yeah? And games from 1998 filled a whole CD easily
Here is a walkthrough of a popular Teletubbies video game, "Play With The Teletubbies." This is the PlayStation 1 version of this game, though I played it on my PlayStation 2. This was the only PS1 game to be based on a TV show made by Ragdoll Productions, and this is my second walkthrough of a PS1 game. Just to provide proof that this version o...
im suprised it takes up that much space
teletubbies genuinely gave me nightmares when i was little.
lol
Okay thx
replaced case on my build because this looks so much more clean
looks good
11400 disappeared completely somehow
It being scalped in the us lol
Was a great value cpu
I've heard you can get them in some irl shops but idk
Actually 10600k is nice alternative too
It is
Similar performance for similar price tho
You can use it with b560mobo or z490 for overclock it
Ehh not really, kinda need z490/z590 to take advantage of properly, imo 10400 best alternative for that price
B560 only lets you memory overclock not cpu
Yeah but z490 does
10400 is slower than 11400
But 10600k is kinda similar
I saw nice deals for 10600k like 180-190bucks
The difference between 10400 and 11400 isn't enough to warrant dismissing the 10400
Before my pc stopped working, I was trying to enable secure boot. Because of my idiocy I had to missclick something, and I accidentally enabled platform key bind. Only thing I pressed when binding it was enter. After that my pc had just restarted. When I tried to boot into windows or even bios, pc wasn't giving any output on my monitor. I tried to CLR CMOS, unplug the battery. None of methods worked.
Yea don't question my stupidity.
@little osprey
Let's see if i can't get another 19500
Not gonna try for the 20k again but
That one was fun
Got 19460
Alright let's see if we can't do 1 insane run
Nah still behind and you want better cooler and z490 more expensive and 10600k going for like 230
Just pay the extra 20 for a 5600x at that point
And have cheaper board
@olive cypress ?
What?
what was the wuuut about xD
Well ot has 2 exhausts. And you should pay attention! I've seen Linus even do it XD
Works amazing
Its how I got a 20k in 3D Mark Timespy with 1200rpm fans xD
Ooo noice
Silent as can be gaming
So the idea is heat rises
And you bring in air from the front, and the rear across the VRM area
I run a 5.3 oc for my 10900k thanks to that
I'm a personal believer of if there is a fan slot, it should be populated with a fan shrug lower temps means better performance
Depends on the case and location
True. But otherwise I'd have a billion fans laying around as well.
I've thought about making a bracket and setting up a wall of rgb fans for fun 😅
I have stacks of Fractal Design fans
I actually finally burned through all but 5 of my fans
Been building for a bunch of people who couldn't afford it especially in this gpu climate
If I'm not building I'm modifying for someone. I get to drive a lot of different cpus and gpus that way
I had to take 2 sticks out of my computer for my wife though her ram didn't clear the aio
I guess I'll get by off 64gb ram
Ocs higher now at least
gonna try this on my build.
Do you have aio up top top?
no. Running stock AMD cooler
but I think I got too many fans. Running Lancool ii mesh, have put fans everywhere (front, top, back, bottom)
Lemme see
with all that, things are not as cool as id like
Ahh darn i forgot I flipped my back last week during testing no wonder temps seemed off today
All well fix it when I get up
the ones I got set up for exhaust are some old Lian Li DC fans. will take them out, and move the ones on the bottom to the top, and flip the back fan. see how that works
You ever stick your head out a window of a car before
ofc, who hasnt? 😆
I'd swap those too the top btw
If you want to get used out of them, flip em
With your set up exhaust bottom and top
Not much, just sucking air from the psu shroud does not much
Its mesh underneath
PSU shorud is vented on the lancool ii
see the light coming through?
ooh, I like that idea more.
See that way you are exhausting the air from the cooler instead of pushing the air the cooler is trying to cool the gpu with out of it
Still not much air
And you are providing the air channels to keep air flowing
Sweet. will do so. Thanks for the help
AIO is planned for the future.
Aio helps tons
I use the evga clcs myself they work amazingly
Best performance of all the aios I've used
not available here, gonna go for the Gallahad 240. cos I like things to match
How would one go about doing that. asking for a friend
Tbh it takes some experimentation.
I've not used thay particular aio
But like the coolermaster one my wife has? For amd it uses the amd mounting hardware so makes it easier
Most of them have 4 post though
And its not always about just tightening it down as much as possible all the time
Hey guys. I got a GTX 1070 FE from my boss who was upgrading the parts in his son's pc. It works great but I would like to replace it with a RTX 3070 one day, so I put the 1070 up on FACEBOOK Marketplace for about $460.
I received two offers so far. One person wants to trade a RTX 2060 Super. Someone else is willing to trade a GTX 1050 ti and pay $160.
Are either of these good trades? Is the 2060s to good to be true? I am kind a curious why he would trade a 2060s for my card so I'll probably ask him about that. Please give me your thoughts on which trade is better.
Sry for long post
Are you struggling with pc temps
uses the AMD bracket
Id remain skeptical about the 2060 super
The 2060 super is a win for you but seems a bit too good to be true the 1050 ti offer is awful for you
Then just tighten those ones down
not as cool as I'd like.
What temps you getting?
plus, africa. so warm all the time
A 30$ air cooler could fix them most likely
Define not as cool as you'd like
idling close to 40. hitting low 70s when using GPU and CPU
That's perfect
Thatsbcommon
With 8 core Ryzen that's perfect and an aio truthfully won't help unless ocing
Listen here. i say its too warm, and its my PC.
I get up to 70c on my 3600(with pbo) on a 25€ cooler and i live in Ireland
Gotcha @fossil cedar @marble hedge
I mean if you want it to be cooler go ahead but there's really not much point
Itll just use the available headroom
Yeah but 70c is still enough room to fully boost
I know
Or pretty dam close
Thats why I'm saying
Even on water
Itll just boost to maybe slightly cooler
That cooler is actually one of my favorite cooler
whay are you guys trying to kill my dream? dammit, I want to be like the cool kids and have an AIO
Tbf a gammaxx 400 or something would be worth over stock cooler
but an AIO does coe with more/better fans 🤣
I wasn't saying you couldn't I was just saying more ram is a better upgrade
yo dont think 64GB is enough?
Because 64gb is actually quite nice but 128 I've had some wild times with
64gb plentyyyyy
but yes, the fact that I only have 2 sticks, and 2 slots open bothers me to no end.
Wtc yall doing with 64gb
Think how I feel
That is 100% out of the ordinary my guy, i don't even use a full 16gb ram
i dont even need 64gb rn for my MC servers lol
Heck editing on an 8c 64gb still enough
Not if you are modifying a minecraft server on a mass scale
Thats what they said about 640k at one time too. and see where we are now?
Then no such thing as too much
Yea, right now I dont have many players, but since I am running a 1.17 server with around 30 plugins, plus an RLcraft server, that could quickly change lol
Not many people host Minecraft servers for lots of ppl, modded on their pc while playing on it lol
Yea, I have a 1U rack I use for my servers
i got it 2nd hand off ebay for a really good price
100 bucks for a poweredge r620
granted, the hardware it came with isnt amazing, but it's mainly the platform i wanted
and as a flex
Ok.... And gamers don't
Simple as
having an HEDT board with all 8 ram slots filled is a nice thing to look at.
a lot of gamers still use 8gb
Usually cuz oem box pc lol
yes😐
if god didnt want you to fill ram slots, why did he give you 4 of them?
Daily driving it and having 98gb cached does make things pretty snappy
Not even, they would not be able to take advantage of 128gb
😋
64gb is already very very premium
I mean my tower cost me around 6k...
not if it's 2nd hand ecc ddr3 you got off ebay, that crap is only about 100 bucks lol
Im not losing sleep over it
My 16gb of ram is real snappy as well
ok since you guys are all up in arms about it, I actually did have only 16GB, corsair, and I put the fake RAM to fillt he slots. is that acceptable?
yes
BLASPHEMY
real chads use dead ram sticks instead of dummy modules B) (im joking)
And you just said it was for science, no relevance to a gaming pc
But not only for gaming
Its my fun machine
I do 3d modelling, photo editing, and development
You have a 'science' use case
I find science fun
Whatever that means
Thus
I don't know
Fun machine
Yes, imo it's a waste of money but you do you 16gb is still all gamers need, 32gb would be nice but ehh if you don't run modded Minecraft servers while gaming you're fine
yea, having 64 gigs in your system definitley opens up a lot of opportunities for experimenting around
I just play games
And run libreoffice
And discord calls
Sometimes video editing
Sometimes streaming
128 was more fun it allowed some quicker responsiveness
I
thats not really my point but ok...
That's not how capacity works
He's really flexing
man's got bank
Well ok lemme flex too
harsh
Team dark pro b die ram
Lmao!
I had 8gb in my server when I ordered it off ebay lmao
the RAM slots looked like a barren wasteland
I flexed my segue muscle
2 4 gig sticks in a 24 slot system
I'm not flexing though
Pff
DONT YOU PUT THAT CURSE ON ME, RICKY BOBBY!
My flexing is different
I dont think 128GB of ram is flexing.
256 is
Seriously, 8gb is fine for gamers
You don't see people with older systems not running games
I mean in the grand scheme of things. RAM is a reltively cheap component
I am doing thaty and more. hair and ... cloud.. and weather simulation
I ain't doing that
the r620 i have supports up to 768GB, and i only have 8GB lmao
Why would I need more than 16gb of ram?
..... And that's nothing to do with victors situation tho lol
dudes, he didnt say I need more ram
See
No I think he totally is
For aesthetic purposes
I'm not
Sobyes
no he wasnt
They said you would get a performance improvement lol
You are saying you need to?
Victor knows I'm playing
But then you said this...
nope...
Yeah I'm going back to my work
Forky bouta get like 2tb ram on a quad socket system
I'm happy with what I have
You guys are the ones caught up on me joking with Victor
Ok bye
Ooof
yea it's weird lol
yea there's a room full of nice 3d printers at my colelge
dang
what model
hm, maybe it was half decent
its kinda not funny anymore
Not the amount of ram
You were the only ones hung up on it and it was a really easy troll
I tested one of the x58 boards that was sitting around on a shelf, which had bent pins. i ended up fixing it and i tested it yesterday and it worked
Im pretty much the only one that touches any of the stuff
Can't help but indulge myself when people get stuck on something
the hardware sits in a software engineering room, and software engineering dont tend to touch hardware for some reason it seems lmao
I took a picture of it
And I tested this z97 board with a 4770
And yes, that's an amd cooler on the x58 board
some old raidmax PX700AC 80+ bronze or something
The one sitting to the left was actually bad despite seeming like it rarely got used
One less hater
It seemed like it kept shorting itself
oh yea, i also tested a GTX 480 that was sitting in a neglected box, a 770, and a 570
What Gigabyte case is that? Looks premium!
also yea, pretty much all the hardware there is relatively old. the newest thing they have there is a x99 board and 5930k
case
yea
especially sad that none of it even gets used LOL
the stuff has been sitting in exactly the same position since 2 years ago when i took a tour of the building
it's literally exactly the same, i took a photo of it back then and compared it to now
yikes
that reminds me
there's no ddr4 anywhere to be found to use with the x99 board so i cant test it lmao
lian li do make some pretty mediocre stuff too
I'd recommend arctic liquid freezer ii rgb, ek rgb and lian li rgb 360mm
the evga 240 clc is also good, although idk how much it costs right now, but i got mine for 70 USD new
facts
i buy most of my stuff from ebay actually
PC stuff
Its Wednesday so B stock day
Seen it go as low as 45
👀
last time a checked, which was last week, the e5 2678v3 was still about 78 dollars
killer deal
those old xeons are really under rated
The 240mm and the 280mm evga clcs are my faves
yea i have a 240 clc in my personal system
I had one
after i upgraded to my 3900x, i definitely needed it lol
In mine
I upgraded to 280mm
Went to a different case
Had the room and went for it
I wanted to upgrade my case aswell
And have 1200rpm fans on there now. More geared towards sound
My wife apparently loves her new case xD
Comparing rpm of fans is like clock speeds of cpus
Number sounds good
But all in all meaningless
I really want this beast:
Either this or the Enthoo Pro 2
Or the Meshify 2 XL
Aww not a fractal torrent
correct. clips to the AMD plastic thingies
actually that reminds me, i should take a look at the torrent
Does it have tons of hard drive bays?
i forget
Been wait for someone to attempt it, don’t think it does
How much is it
Much more of the whole minimal, crazy airflow look
I'll build in it
Think it’s like $200
dang 200
Looks like it sold out plus it had a rma issue right off the bat
Oof...
yea gn made videos about it if that's what you're referring to
pics of your wifes case?
yeah. but they owned it. took back cases and released an atual fix
Oh yeah I just mean buying one in the wild atm is probably a bit difficult considering how well reviewed it was + the whole recall issue
oh right, thought that was yours
right. ofc. sorry
ima deduct points for the cable mess, and for flexing with your ultrawide 😉 🤣
That desk and chair 🤮
The chair is an executive Lazyboy
Its for comfort not looks
2, the desk is a work desk
In ur case its a closet replacement
All ur clothes seem to be on it instead of in the closet

I cant see the desk under the mess but ok
Indeed I actually put my clothes in the closet on my own like a mature adult without needing help from my mommy
I don't wear a winter coat I wear layered coats

Sorry for my dungeons and dragons paperwork, dice, books being there, sorry I got mail just hadn't opened it yet and sorry I don't dress to your uniformity?
well, i mean
picking up your clothes and putting them in a closet isn't really difficult
Its the shirt I was wearing that day and 2 coats. It was a snow day and I was shoveling off and on?
i still find it quite surprising how a little bit of organizing goes a long way to make your space look clean lol
That wasn't what that pic was about
i'm just making statements
It was snapped for a friend
First yall turn a convo about aios into chastising ram and me joking with Victor, then you guys just findbthujgs to bully about a pic?
Like... anyone actually nice around here?
the second statement i made was a general observation
Yeah sure
hey, you're implying something from an observational statement
i'm not targeting that at you
i just stashed some of my audio cables and my desk is lookin clean
i just find it suprising how something that small makes a big visual difference
Indonesia, u can search it on Tokopedia online shop
Kingston fury beast or g.skill ripjaws v?
Ripjaws 5, but I'd reccomend ballistix over those
^
In my country ballistix gone
Oh
No one sell it
What speed and latency is the ripjaws?
I see in web cl 16
Wanna see the spaghetti tangle I got going
Same like fury beast
3600mhz?
3200mhz
Alright
Mom's spaghetti
So it recommend?
I mean it sounds like the best option
3200 cl16 nice
I just for 10400f and b560m hdv

SPAGET
Okay thx sir
you could use some cable ties from lttstore.com
Just use some hair you can find in the carpet
ok bot
Wait, how about Klevv bolt x series?
no idea about that
Okay, let me see all reviews
Whats the recommended power supply for 3080 cards
MSI A850GF
Usually the cheapest 850w psu
But also decent
It's modular at that
Enermax revolution df 850 also great
When on sale
It's been around $100 sometimes
Decent. it's
it's a CWT GPU just like the rmx and revolution d.f.
I forgot to buy thermal paste what one is good
coolers usually come with thermal paste
You bought a Galahad right?
What crypto do you mine
Eth Im pretty sure
eth
gone have to plug my phone into my PC to do homework now lol
my PC doesn't support wifi but my phone is able to share data over usb
we live in the future
PC recognizes phone as ethernet network
Pleb moment
I am still on 10
going to stay far away from 11 until they have plenty of time to iron it out
Nah Arctic
Yeah I’m not planning to upgrade for a fat min
it's pretty stable on my 3600/5700 system
Alt+Tab feels a bit slow
that's really it for me
oh and Volume Mixer just takes you to the settings, which is annoying
lol my 3900x reverts back to a 1500
On intel too afaik
Wait no that's only unsupported cpus woops
How so?
seems like L3 cache latency is being tripled and bandwidth is cut by 1/3
Oof ;-;
Hopefully they fix that
it's already fixed in the dev build
I'm staying away from win11 entirely until they have time to iron it out anyways
I'm still on 10
Yeah same i don't really want to "beta test" with my main pc
Should I have the aio cables going to the right when radiator on top?
Doesn't matter...?
Happened to me one time
what would yall say is the best gpu in the current market $500 usd or below?
6600xt
neither exist tho
where should i try to find one tho
other than bb
cuz i cant do that
Is that from the vbs setting being default on now or something else?
6 hours away
6 hours isn't so bad, most of them usually have some amd cards
Newegg has a bunch of bundles with the 6600xt for $500
6600xt is pretty easy (considering everything) to get for under 500$
#graphics-cards pins
no, that only gets auto enabled on prebuilts
this is just an actual win11 bug
what comes with it?
oh yea
uh just the card is 800
idk
i see em yea
but lowest is 560
which is decent
i could resell the mobo
for humane prices
Yep
Model doesn't matter as much in midrange
Single fan models
yea
Quick question from a noob, if I want to install a second m.2 ssd into my pc, is there any process after placing it on my motherboard (software related)?
Might need to initialize the drive and make a partition in disk management
The ones that's the cheapest
Oof hope you're alright
barley cut just hurt
I wouldn’t get an ASUS amd card
Just because of past history of Asus and cards being kinda bad quality
Fans literally would fall off of some 5700xts

this is new
so windows 11 requires tpm enabled should i do that?
I wouldn't upgrade to win 11 yet
I'm working on a build for a friend. He has a $3,000 budget and doesn't care about the fact that he's paying way over MSRP for his GPU. He definitely wants wifi so it either needs a board with that feature or an adapter needs to be factored in.
I wanted to know what your suggestions for MOBO, case, and case fans might be as well as any other comments or suggestions to maximize performance within the budget. This is a PC he wants to build relatively soon so everything needs to be readily available.
Below is the PCpartpicker link:
https://pcpartpicker.com/list/Fj4sqp
For cases with good airflow and design:
Phanteks P360a, P400a, or P500a
Lian Li Lancool 2 Mesh
Fractal Design Meshify C or Meshify 2 (not the $200 XL version)
Corsair 4000D or 5000D Airflow
He prefers a subdued look. No RGB. No flashy or garish case design.
Thanks for the input.
Well hum
I just bought a pc
A ABS one
This one
And I received it today
But it's not working
Like it won't turn on
Yeah it's switched on
might be a defect
i'd return it
you bought a prebuilt, you shouldn't be expected to troubleshoot it yourself
Mh
I think I'Il go see a computer shop tomorrow
Maybe they'Il be able to repair it
Uh
is ASUS ROG Strix B450-F Gaming II a good motherboard?
