So it’s a good laptop?
If so, I may just get it instead, I already know prebuilts can be very pricey
Yep still in stock
Includes 27" 1080p 144Hz monitor, keyboard, mouse, headset, and a game
No reviews on it…
The company itself got glowing reviews though
Skytech's Chronos 0136 pre-built gaming PC is in our lab for benchmark and review. We're still looking for the best prebuilt gaming PCs, and this one is in the running as a better one.

Might just buy both then 👀
Boy I wish I had that kind of money to get both lol
Same, I wish I had that kind of money too
@little osprey , please neaten those cables bruh.
eh its fine
mine are worse lol
Thanks!
TBF tho they are under the desk behind my ups so not very visible
hidden is fine
they also arent neon green
this is an easy fix, and would improve the build like ten fold
whats the white cable?
micro usb for my xbox controller
so many cables
you dont wanna see the back of my pc
just saying
Im not saying all cables need to be super neat (back of my PC is no renneisance painting either) , just ones that are in high visibility areas.
yes i cable managed those
Reason: Bad word usage
Reason: Too many infractions
Reason: Bad word usage
what
Aud?
Pog
Btw probs best not to price convert, can cause a lot of confusion
afford = no
am poor
What?
Or just figure out good camera angles to hide the cables
That’s kind of what I did
What is a good 650w psu for cheap?
witch is best?
CyberPowerPC - Gamer Xtreme Gaming Desktop - Intel Core 17-11700F - 16GB Memory - NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060 - 1TB HDD + 500GB SSD - Black 1500 price
https://pcpartpicker.com/list/n3yJJf 1800 price
is the seond better and is the price worth it?
Bottom one just gets you more things if you can get a GPU
@visual sun but you can get a much better prebuilt
There's a 3070 abs prebuilt on wegg for 1800
what's the point of having cables if you can't play jump rope with them between matches
Best argument so far, you've convinced me
This
better not lose or your monitor falls off the desk
For what specs?
5600x/3060ti
What’s your definition of crap?
Cheap****
Enermax Revolution DF 650w or MSI A650GF are good choices
Or if you budget is more like $45-55 a CWT GPU-V/R on eBay would work really well too, considering the GPU-V is literally the exact same as both of those just with a worse fan
https://pcpartpicker.com/product/3F2rxr/corsair-cx-2017-650w-80-bronze-certified-atx-power-supply-cp-9020122-na probs this if you can reach for an msi agf
I’d rather get a used CWT GPU-V fr fr
If you wanna stick to new yeah CX is fine
The exact OEM as the AGF and Revo DF
hey was looking to build something high end with a budget of maybe 2k
would a ryzen 7 5800x be a cpu i get?
Sure, you could. You could also take a look at something like an 11700k or 10850k from intel for cheaper
The one I got sent works for what I need.
Also I need a cooler for the 5600x
Use intel stock cooler
I was wondering should I upgrade now or wait 2 or even 3 years to upgrade
I have a i7 8700k, gigabyte aorus ultra z390, 32gb ram, gtx 1060 3gb, corsair hx 860i psu, should I upgrade now or save as the game that I want to play isn't out and I don't really have any games I want to play but I do stream on a 4k monitor
1060 3gb isn't going to work well for 4k at all. If you can afford to get it soon your best bet for getting a GPU in the US right now is Newegg Shuffle, or in person at best buy or microcenter
It's not worth buying scalped GPUs unless you don't have one at all
when would the gpus be back in stock?
They restock at different intervals depending on where you look
Newegg has the shuffle almost daily
Best buy does like twice a month
Microcenter is a few times a week
the game I want to play isn't going to come out for at least 6 months
so I was thinking of getting a rtx 3060ti
Might as well wait a little bit
3060 ti isn't great for 4k, it's more targeted at 1440p
It might take a couple months of effort to get a GPU, keep that in mind
so I should just keep my system as is besides gpu, I can get a 3080 but because this game is a mmorpg, I am not sure if a 3060ti vs 3080 makes a huge difference in 4k for those types of games
Yea the non modular one
I'm not planning to oc but this is a build for a friend who is trying to get into pc
Is it the Harry Potter one?
It's too early to tell how much vram it'll use and other resources anyway
what do you mean harry potter one
Ah wait no the one I'm thinking of is ARPG
Hogwarts Legacy is an upcoming action role-playing video game set in the late 1800s in the Wizarding World being developed by Avalanche Software and published by Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment under its Portkey Games label. The game will be released for Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S in 2022.
no but I might check it out if it's not like the previous harry potter games where wands are like guns
There's some leaked gameplay footage from 2018 but who knows if that's still accurate
It's open world and everything which is nice compared to previous games that were basically on rails
Ideally scythe fuma 2 but id cooling se 224 xt, gammaxx 400, vetroo v5 are all decent choices too but might struggle a bit
will amd am5 socket cpu be ddr4 or ddr5
DDR5
Intel tends to have a little overlap, sometimes boards support previous and next gen DDR, but AMD doesn't do that
The previous gen ddr boards tank the perf anyway so
Yeah and they only have half the memory slots for each
ddr5 which means it's going to be like $300 for 32gb again
Uhhhh possibly
Am5 wont be out til next year anyway
So prices might improve a bit
Too early to tell
is it worth getting a gpu now or wait until intel arc comes out
My two favorite budget cooler options that would be great for a 5600X are the Gelid Phantom and Thermalright PA120. Both dual tower and dual fan coolers with great price to performance. Absolutely goated.
But atm team are selling a highly binned 16gb kit for 300$
Soooo
I wouldn't keep your hopes up
Noone knows, also intel arc aint coming til rtx 4000 anyway soo.
Uhh falcie did they instantly delete the ping to me or?
I saw something pop up for half a sec?
Nah it was a link
Ahh
The first 32GB DDR5 RAM kit lands at retail for $311 and it’s already sold out
First runs of DDR5 aren't going to be great, basically a trial run. Yields will be low and costs will be high.
Well there's probs not much stock atm, or they only letting a certain amount of stock to be bought atm imo
Wait is that divot right in the middle of that stick lol? It looks like a pain to line up where it goes
so get a 3080 or 3080ti at msrp and upgrade the rest later on
Ideally yes
Not directly in the middle, it'll still only fit one way
Yeah I know they’re not but it’s so close
my 32gb ram is 3333 speed so I guess it's decent
It’s already a pain trying to line up the DDR4 bump
3333 is pretty decent for 8700k yeah
buys early ddr5
nowhere to install it yet
waits months for alder lake
finally get to install your new ddr5
it's defective
return window ended 3 months ago
you're a risk worth taking
I generally wait for beta testers to buy it before I do
👉 👈
like every new tech there are bugs and glitches
zen 3 spent most of its lifespan in beta testing 😔
next gen gpu midrange is probably going to be like $800 rip with the increase in raw materials
I just want to not lose silicon lottery
I have the worst 3080 in the world
give me golden sample 4080
you can always give it to me I will gladly take it out of your hands
nvidia with their bs of oh miners won't be able to mine with Lhr
idk it just really annoys me that my 3080 can barely overclock at all
I'd take an ok 3080 over my crappy 3090
other people pushing +1500 mem easily and I'm here with my +275 8)
I have a 1060 3gb not sure why your all crying
because I went through the same pain as other people to get a 3080
but mine is like 10% worse than other 3080s
And if you drop 2k on ebay you could buy a 3090, what's your point?
for no reason except bad luck
even after modding it it still overclocks like garbage
just like my liquid metaled 8700k that couldn't do 4.5ghz stable or boot with higher than 2666mhz ram
how about that one huh
I bet your 8700k is better than that
lol I'm running on 5ghz oc lol
4.5ghz 1.4v max LLC unstable
mines is stable 5ghz
your 8700k is more than 10% better than my delidded liquid metaled one
why? luck
mines is delid metal
still
more than 10% better
purely because of luck
same deal with my 3080 being garbage compared to other 3080s
if it helps this was a rma i7 8700k
yeah I sent it back and they must have gave me a good one
was praying they would replace it with one with better silicon
they just fixed the power connector
so it works but it's still bottom of the barrel silicon lottery
Didn't dawid do something about a pcie to ram adapter 😆
I missed the days when only titan cards were 1k but now semi mid range cards are 1k
✨white tax ✨
not even white tax
this model is fine
other people with visions get good ocs
it's just my card losing lottery as hard as possible
Ohh i thought you said it was 10% more expensive I'm blind
nah i got it for below msrp
I read as "worth" instead of worse
6900xt at release
do cpus bottleneck gpu's anymore
there is always a bottleneck somewhere in your system
by the definition of bottleneck
Depends on what game you play, at what resolution, and what detail settings
Like if it's minecraft it will always be a cpu bottleneck
if your system had no bottlenecks then you would have infinite fps
Assuming the game engine itself isn't the bottleneck yeah
well yeah game engine can count as a bottleneck
Like skyrim and the 60fps lock
i've run into game engine bottleneck trying to push meme fps numbers in minecraft, overwatch, and league
~4150 fps in minecraft, 300 fps hard cap in overwatch, ~1300 fps in league
Even a 7090 super and a 12900x with 1tb ram will have a bottleneck
lol you could make a 5950x bottleneck a 1050ti if you tried hard enough
Btw 300fps isn't hardcap, i got 450fps in training arena before on a 1650 super lmao
maybe they updated the engine to account for 360hz monitors becoming a thing
it's been a very long time since i played overwatch
i just looked up a benchmark
guy running 10900K @ 5.2 and 3090 in overwatch at 1080p low
pegged to 400
cpu and gpu are both practically idle
so i guess the engine is limited to 400 now
How many fps in csgo?
even like 4 years after quitting overwatch
the fact that i just happened to skip to a clip of bastion dying brings me great joy
Bastion isn't as bad now
Did you play when bastion had personal shield?
If so i found the root of your depression xD
no, but i do remember bastion + pocket mercy using damage amp + orisa shield + power bongo + temple of anubis entrance camping
I'm usually mercy or dva, and I hate when I have to go battle mercy and end up with more kills than the rest of my team
imagine me playing cyberpunk 2077 with my gtx 1060 3gb, hbw many fps would I have
Depends on settings and what cpu to an extent too
0:00 Ultra
2:00 High
4:43 Medium
7:16 Low

Lmao
is it worth getting a 3080 ti over a 3080 or 3090 for 4k
3080 ti/3090 over 3080 for 4k yes
depends on price
you will see a benefit going up to 3080ti, but whether or not it's worth depends on what each card is priced at
I can probably get a 3090 in 6 months for msrp but is it worth 2,000
Lol
like I can save the money to get it
Whether it's "worth it" is totally up to how you use it
but is it worth it
Sorry but msrp is not happening again for non founders edition cards
Also gonna be at least a year til things calm down
3090 is good for mining and heavy 3D development and rendering
i'm not playing 3AAA titles which is why I am debating if I should just get a 3080ti
3080 or ti are almost as good for just gaming
Think of the 3090 as this generation's Titan
speaking of mining
i think my friend has gone off the deep end
he just used a credit card payment plan to buy a 3080 for $1500
wait what why
when gpu mining has barely any months left
i was like
you realize that's not even going to hit ROI right
Bro
Plus paying interest on the CC
i convinced him to sell it while it's still worth about that much lol
That's actually embarrassing amount
but it took a lot of convincing
1500 is a 3080ti msrp
is the 3080ti that much better than a 3080
Not really, the 3090 isn't even that much more than 3080
Personally, 3080 or ti, whichever is cheaper at the time you can buy it, is the one you want for just gaming
Whichever you get the chance to buy
I would do newegg shuffle but after hearing what happened with the gigabyte psu and gpu not sure if I want to go through that
Gigabyte gpus are fine, pads on the 3080s and up are bad if you're gonna mine to offset the cost but apart form that fine, just don't use the gigabyte psu if you get one
Factor it as part of the gpu price
They're replacing the bad PSUs
from what I heard if you return the psu through newegg you have to return the gpu as well
Plus the Aorus Elite mobos they're bundling now actually aren't bad
Yeah and good VRM too
you could definitely do a lot worse as the basis of your build
Way better than some random $90 Asrock board
And I'm sure that flimsy VRM heatsink would hold it back if you enabled PBO
I heard that people say that the 3080ti is not worth it
👁️👄👁️
and 3080 is better in terms of price since it's similar and 3080ti is only 10% more while 50% more
money
If you're talking about msrp sure 3080 ti is awful price/performance, just like 3090. Problem is the current market.
it's actually a $180 board that i pulled some shenanigans to get for $90 if that helps lol
vrm heatsinks look pretty good
That's better then, yes
The steel legend is worth more tho, you just bought for that price lel
they have some actual fins on them
too many vrm heatsinks are just solid chunks of metal
Sadge no flashback
yeah
Less important these days
the only significant drawback of this board imo
but it came 5000 ready out of the box
i have a spare 3600x so i was prepared
there's a minor drawback in that the bottom m.2 slot only gets 3.0 x2 instead of 3.0 x4
probably because there's an m.2 wifi socket above it
not really a limiting factor as a game drive but it does halve the sequential
I mean rand is the same so most ppl wont notice
Is it X570 or B550?
B550
b550
B550 is always 3.0 on lower slot
yeah but it's usually 4 lanes
here it's 2
because it's sharing with that m.2 wifi
Ohh I see
would be cool if it did 0+4 if m.2 wifi wasn't populated and 2+2 if it is
but it's just always 2+2 ig
Yeah funny thing is if it was X570 it wouldn't have that limit, one of the rare cases it's better
yeah, i don't consider it a major issue though, like pato said it has no impact on rand
You can always get a PCIe slot adapter for M.2
lol i don't have any more room for pcie cards
What's in there?
this is taking up all of the empty slots
Get riser cable kek
ah yes
Low profile exists
Nono, keep gpu where is, bring riser underneath support bracket/shove and bend behind brakcet
Or bring around
Ohhh wait o11d your fans would eat cable
yummy
i really don't need the extra lanes for a game drive
i would have to put it in the slot right below the gpu since the bottommost slot is x1
so it would definitely be blocking some airflow if it's directly pressed against the fan that's doing most of the vram cooling
and core cooling for that matter
Hello.... I'm about ready to upgrade my current build and switch to a ryzen 7 I was thinking about the 3700x but my budget says 2700x. Besides thermals and a the 18% increase in performance is it worth the extra 50 bucks or so?? PS I'm coming from a i5-3450. Ty for any advice.
Perhaps try a Ryzen 5 5600x, similar price range and even bigger performance gains overall even though you do lose out on 2 cores
+1 for 5600X with a B550, for just gaming it's the best Ryzen option.
11400 or 11600 are good Intel options with B560
I'm also am trying to stream lol I know I'm asking for alot
Yeah, the 5000 series are just newer, far more single core strength on them which is great for games and streaming shouldn't be an issue
Cool
Streaming usually needs your graphics card to be better over your cpu
I have a vtuber thing an I guess I was over using my cpu and programs started to just yeet themselves lol
5600x it is lol
youd be better with a i5 10400 tbh
Ahh yeah well a i5-3450 would do that lol
Lol
Why is that?
better single core, better in gaming etc and cheaper
5600x has better single core, but not by much, the 10400 is about $100 cheaper though!
Damn what about upgrading down the line do I have a path?
Right. For pure performance you pick AMD right now. But for price/performance where budget is a constraint, Intel is best
If you get the 10400? Yeah you can go as far as the 11900
Never thought I would read that lok
Ok cool
Yep it's a total flip from previous generations
Ryzen so far has lots of upgrade paths as well since anything Zen3 works in the same mobo
Really a choice of price and brand preference for you
Whats a good time in the year to buy a gaming laptop
I upgrade about every 5 or so gens and try to account for upgrading down the line
So both options the 10400 and the 5600x work well
The problem with doing Ryzen right now is you don't have much upgrade path from here, Zen 4 will be on AM5
Yea
Black Friday/Cyber Monday is usually the go-to
So I should wait till Christmas season to buy one?
Any chances of new ones coming out by then
Best time to buy is when you're in the market and can afford what you want
Nothing new before then no
Patience is best, but with chip shortage how it is if you can snag it early and in-stock you are blessed hahah
So upon doing a shitton of research I found out the most a gaming laptop can last is around 3-4 years
Can't wait for AM5, hope the performance gains are big
And with that in consideration should I still try for a 3070 laptop or get a cheaper 3060 laptop
Won't that support ddr5 mem?
Yep
3060 will carry you just fine for the 3-4 years you'll have it
I'm avoiding first gen DDR5 stuff because there will be bugs. Same with any platform change.
Ok so I should get a 3060 laptop
Then it might be worth upgrading now and change mid way through
Just put my PC together, hit the power button, nothing happens except an RGB motherboard lights, can anyone assist?
1440p gaming
There isn't much a 3060 can't do unless your trying out 4k 120hz VR or something nuts
1440p you'll want 3070
Keep in mind these are laptop model ones so not quite as powerful
True, I'm used to desktop
Laptop 3060 is about equal to desktop 2060
I wanna do vr as well cuz I’m planning on getting the oculus quest 2 in cyber monday
3060 desktop wouldn't really do 1440p anyways
What about a mobile 3070?
Ty for yalls help :)
About a desktop 2060 super
3080 mobile beats the desktop 2070 super
Yeah I dont got 3.5 grand
Yup. That's laptops for you.
Please don't bypass filter btw
Hmm what do you mean?
F words are bad
Oh you’re talking about cursing
Deleting one letter is still the same word
Screw laptops
Yeah that would be fine
There better?
That'll work, I was just warning you anyway for the future
Got it
Doesn't 3060 (Ti at least) do 4k at 60 fps (barely, prolly 65fps on average) so why wouldn't 1440 work?
3060ti and 3060 are different cards
And also, 4k60 doesn't mean it will do 1440p144
Ah yee 144fps is a different story
That's our definition for doing a certain resolution, at least my definition, being able to do 144fps
For a specific example, pulling numbers from GN benchmark, 3060ti does 60fps in SOTR at 4k, but 100fps in SOTR at 1440p
Gotcha, my standard is usually 120 but that's just me I guess
hi
Man whats up with you guys’ eyes
Are you all like those kids with over 5 power glasses
Gotcha, yeah I haven't worked with 1440, didn't realize the performance difference was so large but it's not exactly much smaller than 2k
Here I am who can barely follow 60fps in genshin impact
Lol I have 20/20 vision lad, just played too many competitive games and see everything in 120hz now haha
Give me your eyes
You cant have them they’re too much of a blessing for you
Uhhh, sure 🖐️ 👀
l

Whaddup Collision, got any spare eyes now I've lost mine, or you need some mediocre advice on how to build a PC 😊
k k
I'd go with p31 too since it's a couple bucks more and better
I'd spend a few more on the aio for the 360 galahad
Anyone know where I can find a decent gpu for a decent price? My wife has a 1060 and I’m trying to upgrade it for her
@potent portal I appreciate you. I’ve been trying to win the Newegg shuffle for awhile now. And I’m in those other queues to try and get one as well. No luck so far. Fingers crossed I guess
That's all we can do, be persistent and hope you're lucky
Hello! I just purchased a new computer and would like to add an SSD drive. However, I am very unfamiliar with Laptops and their components so I don't know what kind of SSD I can buy that would fit. This is my laptop: https://www.newegg.com/p/N82E16834233457?Item=N82E16834233457. Can I get some ideas of what kind/size of drive I should look for, maybe add a few links for suggestions? I am looking for 1 TB drives.
Thanks!
https://www.newegg.com/mushkin-enhanced-pilot-e-1tb/p/N82E16820226901 this should do nicely
Assuming the SSD isn't soldered in
Had to do some digging but it appears to have an open M.2 slot
google says 2 m.2 drives
Shout out to the Gigabyte website not having the full manual, only the quick start guide
You should be able to add the drive that pato linked in addition to your current drive
Thank you so much!
Thank you!
Would someone be able to dm me and help me create a pc within my price range that would work nicely and would be upgradable in the future
Absolutely. We do lots of lists. What's your budget and what will you use it for? If gaming, what resolution?
It would be around £300 which sounds stupidly low but I would only be playing games like minecraft etc so I wouldn’t need anything too strong
Laptop
300 euros won’t get you anything
you’ll be able to afford like 2 parts
in this situation a laptop would be better
Followup question, when I'm installing this, is it just plug and play or do I need any sort of paste, etc?
I already have a “decent” graphics card and 8gb of ram but I can’t think of other stuff @potent portal
Can you send the exact models?
You’ll need to copy the data over to it
It has an open slot, might need to initialize the disk but that's it
Whether that’s cloning your current drive to a different spare drive, then cloning the spare drive to the new drive, or using whichever data interface (SATA, M.2) to USB
But if you are just expanding your drive and not replacing it this is what will happen
Followup question, when I'm installing this, is it just plug and play or do I need any sort of paste, etc?
Perfect! Ok so do you recommend copying my old SSD from my old lap drive and moving it over, or reinstalling everything?
Personally, to simplify things I'd leave everything on your old drive except for games, which you can reinstall or move using steam library
oops I'm just now seeing comments about this above, sorry!
😆
lol
So Basically Copy/Paste everything but games
What region are you in so I can get local prices
The opposite, leave everything but copy the games to the new drive
England
Gotcha, one min
Awesome, thanks!
just screw it in and youre good
np :)
What type of issues did people have with the asus strix g15 advantage?
No gpu or igpu btw
Wth the bq so expensive?
Yes I know. They have 8gb memory and a gpu already.
Ahh
https://uk.pcpartpicker.com/list/dLNNrr I'd do this instead btw
What’s the difference @fossil cedar ?
thats the pound symbol
Is the legion 5 pro good?
Better and cheaper psu, better motherboard with wifi, and slightly better cpu
I d c
WiFi isn’t really a bother since I have Ethernet anyways but I’ll look into it
What’s the difference between a euro and a pound
I have lived my whole life
thinking they’re the same
british pound and mainland euro?
About 14p
Well it's a better board anyway, and the one with wifi was 2£ more
Cheers boss
Uk pounds, rest euro
Np
I've got the ram i need for my new build ordered, and now i just need to get the motherboard im so hyped rn
ok
yes
i read that as AND
am blind
Well then yeah, that's 2 different currency's and countries
Nice congrats :)
Hey anyone think an amd a6 is ok for a budget office build? Would do school work and zoom stuff
It looks like da attractive at 50-60$ new
Duel core up to 3.7 ghz
Just wish it was quad core
You can get a full used optiplex with a xeon processor for like $150
Building something like that will always be more expensive for less overall ability
I agree with Fal'Cie. A used office PC will do what you want to do real cheap, but parts - especially graphics cards - make building your own a headache.
*that's only in the past 8/9 months for gpus
My slightly revised part list. I'm not really sure if the CPU cooler is good, might just get water cooling instead.
I'd get better ram
Ballistix 3600cl16
Is great
Also a western digital 2tb 5400rpm HDD if you really want a hard drive
And don't pay $100 for windows
Kinquin windows key all day
Nah those overpriced, ebay keys is where it's at
*from decent rated sellers
Never knew eBay had keys but I guess they sell everything
Kinguin is fun for game keys still though, technically grey market
Reason: Bad word usage
Inwin fans are not very high quality and kinda loud to answer the deleted question
Arctic P12 are what we usually recommend
i was looking at the inwin Saturn
there kinda cheap but they do have a nice daisy chain m,method for cable management
Hubs are better for management imo, and you can have power and rgb all in one place
im currently running noctua redux fans in the top but since i got my aio it throws the build off
Anyone know of a good gaming laptop to play Minecraft windows 10, fortnite, and Minecraft Java?
yeah anything really
budget?
$1k-$1.5k
you're in luck for nice lappy then
lemme look for ya, what's your needs?
like do you want it to be light?
good battery life?
Yeah, battery life would be good, weight doesn’t really matter, if it’s too light it’d move too much
okie, gimme a min or two and i'll find the right lappy

ok
both of these are same price
1349 without rebate
1299 if you make a rebate form
I'm partially through building my new computer and my old one died. Perfect
It knew
Pretty much
It was weird. Everything i clicked was ctrl+clicking to a new tab. I tried restarting, but when it powered back on it blue screened. It did that twice, and the third time it said "your computer's messed up and you need to wipe it" (but not in those exact words)
I worked over 12 hours. I'm too tired to harass people to help me, I'm leaving it for now
probs windows going bork
Yeah, it said it needed to wipe windows or something
I'm gonna finish the new computer, then maybe worry about this old one for later. Gonna use it in the living room to watch stuff
sounds good
a
Guys I have a question
Why are zen 3 processors have much better performance than zen 2 processors? Even if the clock speed and core count is the same...?
I watched some benchmarks and there are some Very big improvements (like +10-15 FPS in games like cyberpunk 2077 or FL.simulator)
But one thing is that Vram/ RAM/GPU get used more on zen 3 processors
Can it be that they are optimized better and the try to use much RAM/Vram/GPU as they can?
hi
Architectural improvements and precision boost overdrive got better too
What benchmarks? If it was a cpu bottlenecked situation from zen 2 to 3 for example tho, it would explain why more of the gpu can be used
boost clock slighly higher
now L3 cache shared between all cores
more instructions per cycle
and ipc improvements
Ipc is instructions per cycle btw
Ooh
Ok ty
The benchmark was a 3600+ 3080
dont worry im braindead
Only 0.19% bottleneck
Actually R5 3600x has a bit more bottleneck, so I think bottleneck doesn't change anything, the main things are probably this ↑
And this ↑
Btw a +0.2 GHz clock doesn't change much
Sounds bout right
For the love of no please don't use those stupid bottleneck calcultors
Well yeah
botleneck calculator and userbenchmark are garbage
Borrleneck depends on what program you use
I thought usebenchmark was good...?
userbenchmark doesnt benchmark
it pulls numbers outta its ass and hands em to you
literally its like they dont even test stuff
their testing methods are that flawed
One day I used userbenchmark for my R5 2600x + 1070 and it said 67% gaming machine
BruB
meaningless garbage
That's not ok
I think my rig is almost +85% for gaming
A GTX 1070?? It's a gaming gpu
Can still run AAA games 1080p ultra at 60fps
Where can I see my level?
Ooh now I see
Ty man
Trash garbo

😳
Is dis good pc
isnt it the clock speed before the multiplier
like 100x38
im blind lemme zoom in
Ooky
yes
multiplier

Looks fine
some improvements can be made
Yes
Like what
meh ram meh cooler and meh cpu
Base clock is the lowest the lowest your cpu will go without throttling basically
ok
Depends on the price
I have 2000£ if you can find a better and trustable option be my guest plis
Ram is Bad
1995£
ram is meh not bad
OH ABSOLUTE GARBAGE
Too pricey for what it is
Oof
Do you really need all that storage?
I need 2tbs
Hold on I'll get you something that's better
That's a lot
on a b560 board im not sure if it supports faster ram with that cpu
the ram is meh
You can always add extra storage very simple
I cant build tho
Ooh right
Yesyes
You dont need to, it's legit 2 wires
Yeye i meant a prebuilt
Yey thank you
Prebuilt make you pay like +20% more
????????????
B560 allows you to overclock ram on any cpu
frik
Not anymore
getting the gpu is too dificult for that to be true
It's not difficult to build a pc
My father is against it
getting the gpu at msrp is
Id do it tho
Ye
@neat helm how much you wanna spend?

Id actually recommend prebuilt> building it urself unless you already have a gpu
Okay
Yeah, its like legos
A really expensive set of legos

...
Prebuilt ar good only for GPUs
Come on
It's easy!
My mom was too
Drop it.
guy said no
move on
dont force your opinions on others
@neat helm i personally would do this https://www.scan.co.uk/products/scan-gamer-rtx-intel-core-i5-10400f-16gb-ddr4-8gb-asus-rtx-3070-1tb-m2-ssd-win-10-see-info but if you want to spend 2k, https://www.scan.co.uk/products/3xs-gamer-rtx-intel-core-i7-11700f-rocket-lake-16gb-ddr4-10gb-evga-rtx-3080-1tb-m2-ssd-2tb-see-info
It's almost impossible to break something (unless you're Linus)
its not nice
It's cheaper to get a prebuilt atm and they clearly aint up for doing it
we all know its easy
if they cant they cant
h
So 1tb ssd and 2tb hdd?
Or you can add more ssds to it
Yish
O
Let me check if the price is good
The price is 2000$?
If you want to spend up to 2k get the 2nd
U want something stronk
They're in the uk ;-;
I
£
3070 is stronk
10400 nice
I5 i7 doesn't matter the model does
10400 cheap
pentium is where its at
Does 32 gbs ram make a huge difference
Depends
what about pentium ✨GOLD✨ tho
1080p if 24" or 1440p if 27" and up
not for gaming really at least with the other parts
Pog
pato never leads you wrong
pato is my husband
umm
depends
In gam8ng
load time? yes. gaming experiance no
Yesyeys
load times faster
Lets goooo
as long as you have an ssd to install windows ur good
slightly

my ssd read speeds suck
its 6700
before it was 6870
irrelevant
but thats sequential
I had a laptop with pentium gold
It was so good it got yeeted from the window
only random reads and writes matter
NVME is a protocol.
doesnt mean anythiing other than that
What?
NVME is a transfer protocol
Sorry I don't understand
My gf might have problem with that...
NVME is nonvolatile memory express
its a transfer protocol
Ooh wait...
Ok
Random is what matters to like 99% of people
Understood
Dumping time
Rawr>gf
9/10 doxctors agree
Like sata
yes

What if I'm 1/10 doxcters
Pato in Espanol → 🦆
Yeah but i am smoooth brain
What rawr said
So it will last a long time, hopefully?
Oh btw pato did you hear about why evga cards were dying from anazon game?
Yeah
I aim to still be the epic gamer I am till 2800
tm5 loves me
Epic
windows reinstall time
Ya but still think was dodgy dx12 call or something
bad solder jobs
hardware fail
Yes but think it was amazons fault a bit
dont worry i got 305 errors before it crashed
Not mine 😂
oh
Stop after you see 1 error, 1 error = fail
Looks nice btw
windows reinstall time
Good
😳
sfc and dism right away
already did sfc
Actually rawr i might edit my pin in Windows with the batch file sips made but i made betterer
I just got 550mb/s on my SSD 😅
sata
Still think was a combo lol
Ye
What?
thats what I use
I improved
more dism?
That file only had 1 dism
thought so
Also i added pause so no auto close
ahh aight aight
test from 1 month ago
test from last year but repost i was too dumb to screenshot random read and writes
Lol rawr i was doing the corsair ddr4 hwbot thing and i couldn't get 4000mhz to boot at all, or any 3200cl14 :/
c die momen
3200cl14
should i try that instead of 3666 cl18
3200c14 "works" for me
for intel? sure
i have cjr die
Ryzen I wouldnt'
i not intel my username says it all
Not for 5800x
ok
They saying in general
ok
Big sadge, tomie got c die to go 4000cl18 22 22 46 or something tho
:(
damn
I can do 4000c18 or so too but fclk desync
Which do you think had the best design?
My GPUs
i using pbo -12 per ccx
should i make it -20
what should my pbo limits be i set it to auto for now
dramless drive go brrrr
wow
Nice
sn550?
yessir
I manually set flck to like 1600 tho
do u think my usb can do better?
not too much
Mmm yeah i didn't think that good was like 2am lol
Fair
With or without oc?
2.0 usbs are amazing
i got 5
not in a row but yes
i did ask after i bought the parts
im smart
U thr?
I was asking what you meant by "u thr?"
What?
hey excuse me, so like if a gpu in this case 1660 super 6gb
does it run slower? since its 6gb
im not a very tech expert
please tell me im super nervous
since atm i have 1660ti 16gb
i want to know if 1660 super 6gb runs slower
o
then
i got scammed
very nice
i have a dell laptop
it says 16gb
Ti is tiny bit better but not worth more than like 10$ over a super
1660 ti 16gb doesnt exist
That's your cpu's ram , not your graphics cards ram
So you're fine lol
yes
good? and is 500GB SSD also good?
5600x better
It's fine, better alternatives
i dont have that budget atm sadly
i havent checked the price
oh ok
This is personal
oh
USA, around 1k
no laptops please
i have bad experience with laptops
Oof
ye
anyway imma head out bye pato
1k pc
ok
umm
yesterday someone sent me it
is that a prebuilt
