i believe the win max should be using tiger lake and not rocket lake

anyways, there are viable arguments for both rocket lake and for waiting until alder lake

arguments for rocket lake:
mature platform, fast ddr4 is cheap, first gen ddr5 will be slower and more expensive than ddr4, alder lake/ddr5 will likely have teething issues, you get to upgrade sooner

arguments for alder lake:
larger upgrade, not a dead end socket like rocket lake

but if you only upgrade every few years i don't think dead end socket matters

Hi I was wondering if anyone can answer my question. I’m was wondering how I can go about with getting windows on my new 500gb ssd and keeping my 2tb HDD for storage. My assumption was I could just install windows on my ssd then boot up pc with both my ssd and HDD plugged in so I could delete windows off of my HDD. Would that be the way to do this? Would booting the pc with ssd and HDD that both have windows mess with the pc?

keep the hdd unplugged from the mobo and plug it in while windows running

You'll run the installer from a USB, use the Windows Media Creation tool and any USB 8gb+

Once you have Windows installed on the SSD and running, you can plug the HDD back in (make sure hot plug is on in bios) and delete the Windows folder (or just copy what you need off and format it)

The first thing you need to get is GPUs anyway. Do you have any that are profitable? If not get at least 1 GPU, but keep in mind even a 3070 will only make around $4 a day if you get the non-LHR version. It's best to have more than 1 thing mining.

Newer stuff will stay profitable for longer than stuff that's a couple generations old

Besides that you just get what you can because there's no good way to buy GPUs right now

And watch out for LHR GPUs. Most will be marked as such but 3060, 3070 ti, and 3080 ti are always LHR.

Founders edition cards if you can, those ones don't have the limiter outside those 3 models. Try to get one from Best Buy tomorrow morning, there's a big drop.

You mean ASICs? Those are not generally recommended for home miners for several reasons, including the fact each unit uses more power than your typical household circuit can give.

Yup. My wife had the worse pregnancy with my youngest, she was sick 24/7 for the first 3 months that she had a machine connected to her belly giving her anti-nausea medication every hour. It was hell

Thanks, there's a small chance that it'll happen but my wife has some medical issues as well. Once the little guy was born, til this day (he's 2 now), he only sleeps 30 minutes to 90 minutes at a time. The only things doctors will do is hope that he grows out of it soon.
