I was able to hook up the AIO's ARGB water block to the controller's extra connector and daisy chain the AIO fans off of that block

2. Replace the amd stock thermal paste with a good one

   which one will get me the most performance improvement

id-cooling se-224-xt is $30 and will do a fantastic job on the 3600x while being much quieter and already comes with good thermal paste so you don't need to do option 2

If you want full control, you cant use the RGB header cable. You should also have a cable with a USB header. Plug that into a USB 2.0 header on your motherboard

the cooler has 2 small plugs for cables next to each other. one is for the cable you are using which plugs into the RGB header on your motherbaord. The other port on the cooler (covered with a little rubber cover) allows you to connect a seperate cable that connects to a USB 2.0 header on your motherbaord. If you bought the cooler new, all this should be in the box

You had the 5600G and 4000 speed memory right? Try enabling XMP now, save it, and go back into bios.
