Check ur mobo manual, you should have headers on there unless you have other headers occupied

Most mobos have a 3 pin ARGB header and a 4pin PWM header which should be all you need for a controller however some controllers may use different connectors so I could be wrong

most (all non-proprietary) RGB fans will have separate cables, one for RGB, one for fan speed

you can plug RGB into a controller and plug fan speed onto motherboard and retain control

now if your controller does both rgb and fan speed, then how the controller behaves depends on the specific controller

So I'm currently putting together my new pc, and when putting the motherboard in the case, the io guard for my motherboard has little metal flaps to outline ports and things but some of them go into the HDMI slot.
