gpu
Bottom right of the board, check your manual for which pins it is exactly
front panel connecters ^
Would that maybe be this one here?
there will be a picture too show where they go
third slot top left i think
negative generally is ground though
so there you go
actually, Power swtich orientation doesn't matter cause all you're doing is shorting the pins
thats why a screwdriver always works lol
Just like this?
its horizontal then
This better?
the other pins on the other side are reset switch pins
This better?
lol i'm sorry but that's the same perspective as before
What do you mean from the top?
like, take a picture from directly above the pins
Ohh I see you and I were thinking different top 😂
loll
B560m-a
manufacturer?
Asus
I don't think that's the right section
Its a prime b560 if that matters

That's labeled LPT
yeah, i was gonna check the manual to make sure it was the right set
yes those
yep
These
Is that the only thing that I NEED to plug in there?
Do I dig around in my psu stuff that I have stored? Like I should have all those already right?
Or idk lmao
I have the hdd led
you should have at least power and hdd led pins on your front panel connectors
jesus, that 20 pin fp connectors are fancy
i've never seen that before lol
Is it ok for the hdd connector upside down?
Upside down how? Like words on the other side upside down?
Well wtf 😂 it says led+ on left, led- on right but this is how my thing looks
yeah, match up the plus part of that with the + of the pins
Nonono i meant flip it so the bottom face of the connector is up, and the print is down
Ok good
Looks like plus on the right, - on the left
line those up with the + and - pins on the FP header
Kk
this is probably the worst part of pc building
And what will the hdd led do for me?
Ah
technically you don't need it
Now that I have my cpu power, hdd led, power sw, aafp, sata cables, usb3.0 cable, and the mobo power in*, and cpu in, im good to put in my gpu?
i mean, if your case has a 2.0 usb cable you might wanna plug that in
What would that look like?
well it's useful if your case has like usb2.0 ports
or if you have a wifi card that also has bluetooth
Yeah it has usb2 pretty sure
I guess if my ports dont work pull stuff back out later and find it?
Cause idk where it wouldve gone lol
you lost your usb2.0 headers from your case?
The cable that was connecting there. Pretty sure I just had some for my old board. Idk where they wouldve gone if I did though because everything stayed in my cable wrap together
meh
Hmm.
if it doesn't work, then think about it lol
Ye
my case only has like 2 usb ports so
i'm assuming fans are plugged in too
And yeah but I use all my ports
and you've done some sort of cable management
hm, do fans first
one fan port will definitely be hard to access once your gpu is in
Front mounted aio btw not top
Kk
Where would I find if im using intel LGA2011 vs intel LGA1150/1155/1366?
intel website?
just look up your cpu
a little late to be confirming if your cpu is the right socket type lol
Ye lol
Its an evga aio but cant find model, smfh
So its an evga clc aio, and my cpu is a 10900
240mm
the brackets should have some sort of engraving telling you what it's for
not 10900k?
What is fclga?
Land Grid Array, refers to the pins being on the motherboard and not the CPU
flip, yeah
😳
So for my 10900 with my prime b560m-a mobo, i’ll be using the screws from B, right?
Evga clc aio
Even with the washers included the plate that the standoffs connect to is still a little loose. Any ideas?
Wait nvm i might be dumb as shite
honestly i found the cooler to be the hardest part lol
use the B i think
Yeah im dumb. Got it
Yep socket 1200 (10th and 11th gen) is compatible with 115x
Do I install the retention ring with the aio attached, or do I attach the aio after
does the manual say?
i think that means there's already a retention ring?
Ye there was one on it. Im asking if I need to remove it from the preassembly, install it, then put it back on the aio
Or if I do it all at once
If the preinstalled ring is the Intel one don't change it
Kk
so just slap the cooler on there and tighten it down i think
Yes the ring will be on the block while you screw it on
So, changing the fans on my rad to something different than stock. How do I tell what way J want the fan facing? Label in or out? Im using arctic p12 pwm pst co
So like this on my rad? And yeah, mr1111 recommended all my cooling and stuff and helped me figure out the mobo and cpu
so the air will blow towards the camera
Ye
also i think the fans should be mounted on the inside of the case for easy cleaning
Its the right way? And yeah they are
Kk. I do want the air being exhausted away from the rad right
Or to?
Sry never made one of these b4
Depends on where you put it
The front of my case.
If you put rad on the front, you'll want to pull/push air into the case, if you put it on top or back you'll want to push/pull air out of case
So I'd put the fans on the inside of the radiator and make them pull air
Pull config tends to be easier to clean, the dust only builds up on the radiator instead of the fans
You only really need 2 screws per fan, and a 240 rad 6 screws is more than enough
2 on each side, and 2 in the middle diagonal from each other
Do I need to connect both ports of my fans to other stuff there is a male and female end on both cords for my pwm’s
You can connect the fans to each other, and then one side to the board
that's what it's for!
So from the cooler itself, the cable goes to mobo or fans. For the fans plug one fan into it, and then plug a second fan into the first?
The CPU block should plug into an AIO or PUMP header on the board
The fans can connect to each other, and then plug those into the CPU_FAN
The block has 2 cables. One says to fans the other says to mobo.
Is this ok? The top cable connects to my fan, then the splitter from my first fan has my second one.
You've got it correct so far, just plug the "to motherboard" side in
so plug the 'to motherboard' side into the AIO/PUMP header?
Looks like that's one model that's designed to have all 3 plugged into the CPU_FAN header
Can i take of the to fan and to mobo tags? Or do they normally stay on?
Doesn't really matter either way, but might be good to keep them on for cable managing later
K
is this compatible with a MSI b350 Tomahawk mother board?
@potent portal can I plug my case fans into CHA fan or is that for something else?
Yes CHA means chassis, the case
Ah kk. What do you normally do with the free end on a pwm pst?
Hide it under heat shields or something?
What do you mean? What free end?
If there's another connector it's probably to connect the fans together
Unless it's a molex ending, which is kinda rare these days
Yeah that's for daisy chaining the fans together
The ones on my rad should be separate though the others can be connected right?
Yep
And if I do have any free ends left over?
Can it be tucked behind heat shields? Or should it just go behind the fan between the fan and usb ports?
Yeah that's fine, tuck it wherever it's out of the way
Should top mount fans be pulling or pushing?
My pc turns on and off but no display 😩
Oh or can I daisy chain the evga fans to my arctic ones using the arctic connector?
@potent portal
Because if I want another case fan on the top and cant chain it, I need to just plug it into the cpu opt do I?
Top exhaust, and usually 3 fans is the limit for each header on the motherboard
Sometimes 2 fans even, if they use a lot of power
Yeah, so I have my 2 arctics on my rad to my block and the other cord on my block on cpufan, then back of case fan on cha_fan I have another arctic, can I put the fourth (the evga fan that came with rad, not another arctic) on a daisy chain with the back of case fan, or should I put it on pu opt? Or just leave it alltogether? Sorry for so many questions just dont wanna mess it up.
The stuff that goes to the AIO can all be in one chain, the other stuff can be a separate chain plugged into CHA header
Up to 3 fans per header
Brand makes almost no difference, power is power
Kk
I've decided I'm going to try just running my case with three fans (2 intake, 1 exhaust.) If temps are bad, I'll look at throwing a fourth in the top as another exhaust. (I bought a five pack of fans.)
Should I put fans at the bottom of my case? I plan on having 3 intake on the front. 2 exhaust on radiator on the top and 1 exhaust on the back.
Plus, well, having a couple of fans in reserve in case one croaks never hurts.
What do I install the usb cable on to enable pwm tuning for my aio? One end goes on the block over the cpu, where does the other end go?
That goes to the USB 2.0 header at the bottom of the board, a little to the left
It goes on the bottom one here?
Yes
Hmm. 😂
Cutting it just a little close aren't you? lol
As long as it doesn't touch while the fan is spinning that's fine
Ye lol
Sheeesh
That daily grind tho
Anyone mind helping me setup bios?
@potent portal you up for helping a little? Its nw if you arent
Sure, I got time
Nice to see Asus telling you in advance they disable power limits by default
Anything here I have to change?
XMP enabled
Off is blue im assuming?
Yes
Only reports 1400 RPM, what fan is loud?
Or is it maybe just the pump? Ill send a video to show what it sounds like but gimme a min, slow internet
Oh if it's the pump it's probably just air that need to work through the system for a bit
The highest point on the radiator is above the CPU right?
Yes
Then here's what you can do to help it:
Slowly rock the PC back and forth, side to side
What does the qfan panel show? Just that at 100degrees the fan is at max?
Qfan should let you change the curve, so it ramps up at different temps
There that helped a bit. The rest of the noise is my top fan I think
What do I need to do from here with bios?
For now, not much. The rest is mostly customization and overclocking, mixed with a few advanced features.
So don’t bother? Or should I look at advanced stuff now?
For now defaults are fine, you just want XMP on so the memory runs faster
I see
Is there anything in here I could turn on for crypto mining while not using my pc? Or is that all after bios in normal pc stuff?
Not anything that'll affect a single GPU system
There's the "above 4G decryption" but that's more for 4+ GPUs
Yep F10, save, and insert your install device
If it doesn't go right to your installer hit F8 on the BIOS splash screen
Oh im dumb asf. Is it not stored to my ssd if I had it installed before?
I need a separate drive?
Or what
You can try booting the old install but I highly recommend doing a clean install
Will I lose all my old data?
Only if you format the drive
You able to link me to the install page? Im assuming its to install windows or what?
Beat you to it lol
That's the official Windows tool to create a bootable USB that you can use to reinstall Windows
Damm was gonna hit enter but was like better mention the usb so added on XD
Told someone else they needed a usb and they were confused when there was no usb in the pc when they ran the tool, they didn't get a usb at all ;-;
This will wipe your data so make saves of important stuffs
kk
Not necessarily, you can do an "Upgrade Installation" instead of a custom one
But still highly recommended to save your stuff and wipe it
Ohh true yeah but they had a corrupt windows install before :/
Doesn't matter once the USB is made, it renames the Windows folder to Windows.old and backs up the user data similarly
Do I need to install the creation tool to the usb, or on my pc then use it to make a file on my usb?
Nvm i mis understand you
Download it to your pc then run it and it will install on the usb, or you can use the non usb option
non usb option?
you mean just booting the old download?
This version that I'll be making will not let me do things such as changing the background I heard? is that only on the paid version?
You run it the same way but is like upgrade this pc r sum
If you have a key take it down but it should recognise it
The ISO option (the non usb one) is if you want to use another tool to create the USB or if you want to have the installer for later
should recognize what? On my old mobo the guy that had built it for me used his install stuff. For mine if I make a copy of windows, it should see that there was a full version in the ssd?
ahh I see
Go into settings and search "activation", when it says you're not activated tell it "I changed hardware"
settings on my pc im using now to download it or on my new pc?
As long as you're signed into a microsoft account it should go through no problem
Both
Transfer the key now so it re-binds to the new serial number, less hassle later when you go to sign in and re-activate
I should choose 64 bit architecture for new setup?
do you want only 4gb ram
I have 16gb
but on my pc im on now its suggesting to use reccomended setup based on what this pc is
which is why im asking
64 bit allows for more than 4gb ram
3.5GB roughly
Just stick with its default "recommended for this PC" settings
gtx 970 has 3gb gddr5 with I think 1 or a half gb of ddr3?
Yeah that's fine
a full installation of windows should take 20gb I think
The ISO is around 5GB
fits on 8gb usb
Once it fully installs and decompresses it'll take about 20GB on your SSD
the pc I need to search "I switched hardware" is when I'm setting up the install on my main pc?
I think that's where MrM was going
If you're not on the PC now don't worry about it, you can do it later it's just one more step
if im not on which pc? the one im trying to install on?
lol sorry for being kinda dumb
Yeah the one with the new hardware
kk
well the drive has reached a
2%, so imma go read manga and have a snack
might be finished before the sun rises?
xd
Anything to do here? @potent portal
Nope looks good, just ok
And my fan should be on standard, silent, or turbo?
Up to preference
On silent it lets it get to a higher temp before ramping up the fans, on turbo it's the opposite and favors low temps over noise
all fans I have are 4
PWM is good then
it says I can do DC or PWM
kk
my screen is turning on and off a bunch. that normal?
after exiting bios for first time
Yeah it's programming the CMOS and training the memory
kk
good
was scared it was Shi**ing the bed
and was like n0000000000000
when you dump almost all (except $25) you have into fixing a pc, its scary asf if u don't know what's going on
I get you, that's what we're here for
Not usually more than a minute or so, does it seem to be trying to boot Windows? That's probably why it's restarting
Yeah, what happens if you press delete repeatedly? BIOS should come up
Alternatively F8 for boot menu
nothing. my keyboard and mouse aren't getting powered it seems
should I turn off the system and start it again?
Sure give it a go
USB ones?
On one of my PCs I have to use non USB keyboard and mouse if I want to enter bios
Could be but that's unusual, maybe try different USB ports
but I mean, I legit just entered bios like 5 mins ago
and now ports aint working
where they were before
could it be related to the white light that's staying on? @potent portal
Maybe, is the light next to some words? DRAM, CPU, etc?
See what light stays lit up, there's usually 4
wat tfh
I unplugged it and plugged it back in, and turned it on
now im back at the AMI screen from first boot up
It might have reset after failing to train the memory
so press f1 to run setup?
What kit is it, and what board again?
What memory is it
Do you have a link to where you bought the memory from?
ok so the light is stuck on JUST below the debug lights
its green
no, it was refurbished. Never had an issue with it till now.
Ah interesting
yeah
you think I should just press f1?
and run base settings
because my keyboard and mouse work now just fine
Yeah skip the XMP for now, it looks like it's set to 2800 right now
kk
Oh wait no that's the CPU
Memory is at 2133
Anyway we'll come back to that
Is your mobo the wifi model?
it does have wifi capabilities, though i don't use a module
The PRIME B560M-A equipped outstanding specs with mATX size boards, including digital VRM with 8 power stages, PCIe 4.0 support with SafeSlot core+, DDR4 5000 (OC), two M.2 slots with one flexible M.2 heatsink, Intel® 1 Gb Ethernet, V-M.2 slot (Key E) for Wi-Fi ready, rear USB 3.2 Gen 2 (Type-A & Type-C®), more front USB 3.2 Gen1, Q-LED makes as...
so I should leave XMP enabled?
or disable it?
Leave it off for now, I think a BIOS update will fix it but gotta narrow down your model first
You're still waiting on the installer to download right?
Ok looks like your board is using the original BIOS from February, there's a new one from the 29th last month
ah
so after im done installing the windows installer, I need to install the new bios onto my thumbdrive?
or what?
Yeah you'll just extract this file to the USB once it's done downloading and copying
https://dlcdnets.asus.com/pub/ASUS/mb/BIOS/PRIME-B560M-A-ASUS-0820.ZIP
You're sure that was the right model, right?
Ok good that should be the right one
as he gets me to install backdoors into my pc to make it mine for him
im downloading the last link u sent will let u know when its done
Like I only have 256 gb on my pc I have only one game downloaded I want more so I can download more games and apps
What better
Is this a desktop or a laptop?
Youd have to ask someone else. Not sure personally
Like I have ark downloaded and it takes all my space I want to download rust and rocket league to but I. Need more space so I get a ssd??
Desktop
Fal is great, hes been helping me for hrs haha
Fal??
Fal’cir
Yes that's me
Cie*
Can u help me

Desktop
So I have 256 gb I have ark downloaded and it takes all the space I want to download rust and rocket league what do I get to get more storage so I can download more games and apps
@potent portal
??
Here 🙂
Ah I missed that sorry
If you want to store a ton of things like movies and such, a large HDD is good.
For gaming, I'd recommend buying a SSD.
might be done by 3:00am 😄
I have a 500ish gb ssd and a 750ish gb hdd
both are good for me 😄
remaining storage on them*
You can get whichever is the cheapest out of the M.2 category if you have a M.2 slot open, or the SATA category if you don't
If you have a M.2 slot open I think the Mushkin Pilot-E is good price right now
How much is that
About $100 per Terabyte
Is there any ssd that r like 70 bucks
Lemme see what I can dig up
Alr man thx
https://www.newegg.ca/p/pl?d=mushkin+pilot-e @bitter plank
remember tho, these are canadian dollars, idk if ur in america or what tho
he can also get a crucial ssd or something cant he? @potent portal
A crucial P1 sure
Yo fal
I have a crucial_t512MX100SSD1
How much would it cost for somone to put a ssd in my pc
Like if I went to the pc store
did u build ur own pc? cause it should be pretty similar I would believe, no?
It would take seconds to do it yourself, a good local shop would probably do it free
Idk, it's up to the owner. Some charge a minimum of one hour per job at $100+ per hour.
For the bios update, do I have to install windows first, then go back and install the update after wiping my thumbdrive again (deleting the windows install on my thumbdrive after I get it on my desktop)?
So fal did u find a 70 dollar ssd for me
You can have both the BIOS file and the Windows installer on there at the same time
take a peek on newegg @bitter plank find one you think you'd like and try running it by fal?
ty @ fal
What’s a m.2
512GB is kinda bad value, it's not much more for 1TB
ye
It's that shape drive, fits into a slot on the motherboard
Oh
for my CHA1 fan and CPU fan, is it "normal" for rpm to be about 656 and 1400ish respectively while on bios? @ fal
So can it go into any pc
any pc with an m.2 slot
Yeah that's fine
Hwo do I knwo I have one
what mobo you got?
Take a picture of the inside of the computer and DM it to me
Particularly the area around the GPU
My pc is just black u can’t see in it without opening it
oh its a store built
That's fine, take the side off. It won't hurt it.
And run can 230 on fortnite but I don’t play that game loll
@potent portal if you direct him into bios for his pc, think it might say the mobo on his like it does on mine?
Maybe but some prebuilts don't use standard boards
Send the picture of the inside of the PC and I can tell you if it will work
Alr
Or I can find a different drive that will 100% work with literally anything
Alr can u do that
Sure one sec
Buy Crucial MX500 500GB 3D NAND SATA 2.5 Inch Internal SSD, up to 560MB/s - CT500MX500SSD1: Electronics - Amazon.com ✓ FREE DELIVERY possible on eligible purchases
fyi for future reference, if you want a good pc and you have some spare cash, might want to look at making your own pc. on the flip side, GPU's are IMPOSSIBLE to find nowadays :/
thats the one I have
or pretty close to it
If yours is the BX500 I feel sorry for you
So that will work on my pc rig
100%
Anything made since the year 2000 will be able to use that
Is that one good right like idk man srry just don’t really knwo
Hold up gimme a sec with show u my pc
Yes it's one of the better drives. Not as fast as the first one, but that won't make a difference in games.
fal wouldn't recommend junk
thats part of the nice thing with newegg disc having tech role 😄 people know what they're talking about
Yeah checking over specs
Ok, you do have 2x M.2 slots, one of which is currently in use
The 50 doll wolf ome on Amazon
Either drive will work fine for gaming
Definitely
now my download is making windows 10 media
Yo fal
Now you get to test how fast your USB goes
imagine, half the speed of my internet
If I get it will u walk me thru how to install it by my self with out having to pay somone to do it
i'd die
??
Sure, it's really simple
@potent portal on the bios where it says my crucial drive is "windows boot manager" does that mean that's where the old windows install is saved?
Yes
Yo fal that 50 dallor ssd how much gb is it
500GB
Alr thx
ill be back in a few. my install is at 68% rn
Yes you can fit up to 2 of those in your computer
Alr
ok it says my usb flash drive is ready. All that I need to do is click finish and eject device?
@potent portal
falcie can you confirm that the x570 elite wifi has pcie gen 4 for moth m.2 slots?
Yep, but make sure you extract the BIOS file onto the USB
yep
I'll take a look at documentation
now that it's been extracted, what would you like me to do fal? take out the thumbdrive?
Yes, then go into BIOS on the new system with the USB plugged in
so restart until it gets to bios, and by that time have the usb already in?
yes
or can I just have it running and put the thumbdrive in
Looks like both slots support Gen 4 if a Ryzen 5000 CPU is installed
what about a 3600x?
thats 3rd gen right?
5000 is 4th gen
wait fr?
The naming is really weird I know, Ryzen 5000 is the 4th series of desktop processors in the Zen 3 generation
Yep so 3600 is 3rd gen
Glad you didn't, you'd be waiting for the download all over again
No, since 2000 was only first gen refreshed
like zen->zen+->zen2->zen3
ryzen 3000 does support pcie 4.0
Yeah reading more into that it does BUT only has 16 gen 4 lanes
Yes
With it only having 16 lanes, the GPU can be gen 4 but not the M.2 slot
so basically both m.2 slots are capable of running pcie gen 4
I have a gen 3 GPU tho
what board do you have?
The x570 elite wifi
brand?
gigabyte
Yes go ahead and boot the installer
F8
UEFI Sandisk is the one you want
or at the very least, it's looking for the incredible
asus?
Asus has been in search of incredible for way too long now
Yep
Install yes
ty
and chose your ssd
Then since you don't want to wipe out all your data, do an upgrade installation
Skip it
click I don't have a product key
yep
kk
yeah that board with a 3000 or 5000 series processor both m.2 slots are gen 4.0 speeds
Yep thats what I thought
But I think the GPU will run in x8 mode so the lanes for the top slot are available, since the CPU only has 16 lanes
Probably, if that's the version you had before
Upgrade
so slot b should be better yeah?
since its through chipset
So Ill move my ssd to slot B then
Which is good if you want to use Re-BAR
Ive got a 570
Rebar kills perf for me
it says here "the upgrade option isnt available if you start your computer using windows installation media. If a copy of windows is already installed on this computer and you want to upgrade, remove the installation media and restart youor computer, after windows has started normally, insert the installation media and run windows setup" @potent portal
ryzen 3600 has 24 lanes of pcie 4.0
Does it? I've seen conflicting info on that, so I went by AMD site
ye
Guess custom install it is
24 total....4 reserved for the chipset....so 20 from the cpu....
See if it'll boot windows to start with, if not you'll need to copy the data using another device
what do you mean see if itll boot?
just restart it again, and boot with the original drive?
Try to load the windows boot loader from the boot menu, yeah
If it works, great you can save your data that way and wipe it after
so I can shut it off while the usb is in with the windows setup pulled up and should be fine?
It won't hurt it
Ok load the sandisk and select repair this time
troubleshoot
command prompt
dism?
list volume
and enter after every one?
yes
What does it say now?
Is that one named "Files and D" the one where the data you want to save is?
its files and downloads
it's in there, in drive C and in drive E
I believe is where all my stuff is
ok next command
list disk
Ok so you've got 2 separate disks on your computer? That helps
Ok so it looks like E drive is the one on disk 1 (the second one)
where it has 475 size, and 0b free?
Yes, I assume this because the disk is the same size as the partition
ah makes sense
yes
Enter after each line of commands
Disk 1 was selected because volume 2 exists on that disk
Ahh
Ok now we know the file structure, we can copy your data to backup from here
type "exit"
Do you know exactly where the things you want to save are?
Yeah invalid commands have no effect
No, I don’t. Just that theyre in the drives there 😦
Ok, no problem. We'll just dig through the file structures.
Next commands:
cd C:\
ls
(that's a lowercase L followed by the s)
Oh
Yeah the slash that's under backspace
Wha... it pretended that it changed directory and didn't give an error, but didn't actually change directory 🙃
bootrec /fixboot
Since ls failed we can't list the directories anyway and we'd essentially be blind going through
Like this?
Yes, but make sure there's a space, bootrec /fixboot
One space will do, did multiple for emphasis
Scanning all discs for windows installations
When it finds the Windows install, Y then enter
WTFH
Is it like before where my crucial wasn’t showing up in the boot menu?
Cause I 1000% had a windows install
Because my crucial drive is what has the install on it I believe
IS 3600 MHZ OF RAM COMPACTIBLE WITH AMD RYZEN 5 3600
Yes
THANKS
It's "compatible" at least
K SORRY I WAS TYPING FAST
Just wanted to make sure you weren't talking about a trash compacter or something 😉
Well we can pretend none of this happened and go right back into the installer, but this time hitting custom install. Data won't be deleted if we don't format the drive.
Kk
You can just hit the power button or type exit and reboot through the menu
Anyway now that we've wasted all this time, try to boot windows
So am I booting from usb or ssd?
Lmfao
Well you're not wrong at least
The windows boot loader entry technically exists on the SSD
Reason: Duplicated text
That's a good sign
We broke stuff and made it work
Should I download the lan driver and armoury crate app that comes with my mobo?
Probably not since you still need to reinstall Windows
It'll sort of work how it is but you'll likely get reduced gaming performance and other problems
I don’t think so. I booted my ssd and it worked fine
Oh
:/
Is that something I can do at a later date if it doesnt work as is now?
I mean if you want to give it a try load up a benchmark and see where you're at vs where you should be
Where do I go for that?
Do you have 3Dmark? That would be ideal
I don’t
3dmark?
Time Spy

I'm just looking for obvious signs of problems
Helps if I connect to the internet lmfao
New build, forgot to backup before changing hardware from the old one
Rip
Naw, fried my mobo and cpu
Forgot to discharge electricity with power button after unplugging
::
:/
Oh so you didn't even get a chance to backup
Nop
So now this is the old Windows install on a new PC
It boots, at least
Yep, but this is why I want to look for problems
Right that's fair
We still need to update the BIOS and get XMP working too
Yep, first bench, then stability test
What's a good gpu stability test
Besides Furmark 🔥 ?
Yeah, besides that
So still say no to the lan driver right?
Eh, it shouldn't matter right now
K
I'd install it from the manufacturer website
No trust in whatever dragon center or something installs
armoury crate, even worse
Oh jeez
I had dragon center on my last mobo
Then uninstalled and was using afterburner
But idk how they work so I didnt do anything w em
Armory crate is a big oof
What does it do?
Also, @jagged ember I usually run Heaven on loop for a couple hours then Time Spy Extreme stability test a few times
gigabyte rgb is the best tbh
Sometimes it does rgb stuff
:( must pay for it
And I frickin missed the sale
Angy
Heaven is free at least
O really?
Yeah only the "advanced edition" needs $20
armoury crate never caused me issues
then again it's on my mining rig
does nothing but mining
Do I benchmark everything? @potent portal
The OCCT GPU test also basically does the same thing as Furmark but updated
Yes
Link the results
WAIT WHAT
wat
silicon lottery bois
what?
No I thought it disabled the XMP
is there any way to check if I accidentally re-enabled it?
3200mhz
Welp I guess it's enabled
how to I slow my background cpu? close stuff running in back?
And Everything looks to be performing as it should too, give or take a few %
I... well I was looking for problems, I guess that counts
