How much would you charge? Microcenter does $150 I believe. Like $149.99. 10% seems like a lot. If you are building a $5000 pc, $500 is pretty steep. Maybe 5%? $250 for 1-3 hours of work, depedning on the pc, is not bad.

Heres what i would probably charge for my business. $100 service fee, this is paid regardless if you actually buy the PC or not, this is to cover my time building the PC and setup. i would charge $150 for water cooled PCs simply because of more complexity and time. I would charge 10% markup for parts to either cover shipping and handling, or to keep as profit once the PC is sold, or to relieve a bit of the loss if the customer cancels after the parts are ordered or in hand. Then I would also require 25-50% down payment. this is to again cover myself for a potential loss, and to help reduce the chance the customer cancels, because they would have already invested too much money into the deal.
